I'm chuckling at your precious Tang not fond of getting a pedicure. My beloved Noah, Abbygayle, and Eli didn't appreciate it either while their nails were being trimmed, but did enjoy the better traction afterward. I'm sure by now your precious Tang has let you know that you're still his "Number 1 Forever Dad". Amazing how unconditional love is that our precious companions so freely give.

Worked on some financials this morning including getting an order in to WalMart which I can pick up now that I'm only 10 minutes away from the store. According to the website the store will hold my order for 7 days giving me time to pick it up. However, I plan on picking it up tomorrow morning. The condo association administrative assistant stopped by this morning bearing more veggie gifts from her garden, so I have my summer and zucchini squash re-stocked, as well as a few cherry tomatoes and a small green pepper.

At work we continue to push forward with the material. This afternoon we broke up into groups to roll play which I hate But I guess it helps pass the time. Looks like we may have a lost a few people though who just could not seem to put their phones away. What ever.

Tang met us at the door when we got home. He's had his supper (fresh can night, no milk needed which he loves) and his shot. He was curled up at my feet by the PC but is now chilling on the bigger couch. He is doing well.

I know what you mean about not liking the "role play" in training groups. Still you trudge through like a trooper to do what needs to be done to get through to the other side - - finally getting to your real job. How is Anne doing with the training? Today has been busy trying to get some of the clutter out of the guest bedroom so that there's actually space for the day bed whenever my brother brings it - - which probably won't be until sometime in August but I wanted him to see progress toward actually having room for it when he brings precious Scarlet on Friday. Need to do some sweeping to pick up the lint and dust. Placed an online order with WalMart yesterday afternoon for pick up at the store. One of the items won't be available until tomorrow evening. Since they hold an order for 7 days, I can wait to pick the order up on Thursday when the order is complete. Also need to get a refill on my bone med so will wait to reorder that at CVS until I know when I"ll be going to pick up my order at WalMart. The timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is ready so will get this off to you.

Anne is doing fine with the training as well. We lost about 3-4 hours with drama over a stupid pot luck for someone's birthday. We have a lot of millennials and it's maddening. Perhaps tomorrow will be better.

I soooooooo understand your frustration about the office "birthday" luncheons, get-togethers, etc.. I absolutely had a healthy dislike for, and attempted in every way possible to acquire a major avoidance for, those types of events. And the "groupie" pictures - - it was almost like being followed by the paparazzi. I hope instructors will be able to get focused and back on track with the training. Thank you also for sharing with us that Anne is doing well with the training. Please let us know how things go.

Today I hung a few pictures in my bedroom and finally got my beloved companions' memorial shelves set up in my closet. I have their urns on display as well as some pictures, etc.. This is private which is why it's in my closet so that I can close the closet door when visitors are here. I also have their memorabilia chest in my closet. Just have a few more pictures and things to put up but am taking my time to decide where I want them. Yesterday evening I participated in a birthday gathering for one of the neighbors hosted by the Siamese's mom and dad. Janet is quite the "hostess with the mostess" I am learning from the other residents. It was a nice evening. The best part was getting some quality time in with Miss Bonnie (the Siamese) and her sibling brother Buster. They are 5 years old and were adopted as baby kittens. Their 16 year old "adopted" sister Gabby (who was a shelter rescue when she was just a baby kitten) also joined the gathering to socialize for awhile. And the nice part was that all I had to do was walk across the parking lot to get home.

We were able to get a little more into the main system today via projector (we still don't have access.) We did some roll playing with the agent typing from her computer (which I got many compliments for - but I have been doing this quite a while) I was the doctor's office once and did Dr. Evil from Austin Powers which got some laughs.

Had some errands to do this morning dodging rain showers all the way. Picked up most of my order from WalMart, my order from Lowe's, and my prescription refill at CVS. Stopped into Dollar Tree to pick up a few items as well. I like the Dollar Tree. It is so unbearably humid here with humidity and dew points in the mid to upper 70's. The local weather forecaster that I watch for the early evening news said that we are in a persistent tropical air mass. I had turned off the A/C because it was too chilly for me with it running with the rain, but when I got back from the errands I turned it on so that I could breathe. The weather is really unpleasant here and will be for the next several days. Need to finish clearing off the table in front of the window next to the garage for Miss Scarlet as that is where I will put her food and water dishes during her stay beginning sometime tomorrow. Yesterday evening I finally discovered how to uninstall the firewall portion of the internet security program I use as I use Windows Firewall instead. Now I no longer have a bold red warning that the firewall is disabled when the program does updates. YAY!!!

I know you and Anne are looking forward to finally having access to the links you need to do your jobs as well as having your photos taken for your ID badges. Another hurdle overcome to actually being able to do the jobs you were hired for. Any chance in you and Anne having an "accelerated" training course so that you're not stuck for the next month in the training classes? It would be nice if the training instructors evaluated you and Anne on what you already know so that you just had to focus on the things that are unique to your employer's programs. Please let us know how things go.

This morning I was able to pick up my last item I ordered from WalMart before my brother and sister in law arrived with Miss Scarlet around 11 a.m. She spent the first 2 hours hissing and spitting letting me know she absolutely wanted her mommy and daddy here. But now she's coming to me asking for rubs and the hissing and spitting has calmed down considerably. I don't blame her - - I perfectly understand her wanting to be home with her familiar things and her mommy and daddy. I will try to make her a happy kitty over the next 72 hours or so until her mom and dad come to pick her up sometime Monday morning, 8/6. We didn't do much after laundry today. We used a couple of the Steak and Shake coupons to have an early lunch and were waited on by the good waitress we were not even sure was there anymore. After that we went to the peddler's mall closest to us that we had not been to in a while and found 4 more movies for 5.00. After that we went to a small (and I do mean small) street fair over in the east end.

We did our shopping at Kroger and came home for a nap. Tang joined me on the couch for a bit and has just had his supper and shot. He's chilling in here with me and doing well.

We got access to our email today and watched a slide show on medicare (most of which we already knew) But that's about all we accomplished. This is the most unproductive and drama filled training class we have ever been in But most of the ones with attitude won't last much past training I feel.

Tang met us at the door but was skittish. I'm guessing the maintenance men came today to work on the AC and dryer vent. He's had his supper and shot and was enjoying his Temptations last I saw him in the kitchen. He's doing well.

Did a couple of errands today - - picked up a prescription at the pharmacy and took a carload of recyclables to the recycling center close to the pharmacy. Bedford County has a lot of recycling centers so it's easy to plan a stop at one of them when doing other errands. This afternoon I worked on bringing my financial log up to date - - had 2 months of payments to enter into the log book. Not much else happening today.

Sounds like yesterday wasn't a totally bad day in training. I know you and Anne will be glad when it's over. Please let us know how things go.

Yesterday while I was doing errands I stopped off at the furniture wholesale store to see what they had in the line of a nice TV stand. The sales rep was very helpful taking me through the store showing me what was available, and I narrowed the possibilities to three. He wrote down the dimensions and costs. So I did some measuring and decided on a model that I really liked in the showroom. I also looked at coffee tables that you can raise up to eat from while watching TV, and found one that I liked. So this morning I did some moving of things around in the office area to give a bit more space in the living room area and went back to the store to order the TV stand and coffee table. The TV stand was in stock but the coffee table was not. So I asked if they could sell me the floor model and the first response was "no." But after a few minutes the sales rep spoke with the store manager who agreed to sell me the floor model. So both items will be delivered on Saturday sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. I particularly wanted the TV stand here when the contractor comes to install the blinds and the carpets sometime in the next couple of weeks. If I had to wait for the coffee table to be ordered and delivered it would have been 3 to 4 weeks before both items could be delivered as it's an $80 delivery charge per delivery, and I wasn't paying $160 for 2 separate deliveries. There is also a place just outside of Town that buys and sells used furniture, so I stopped in there today to inquire about what they take, and most of the items I described to them they would be willing to take, so that's a nice alternative. They would even come to pick things up if I had large items like a bed, etc.. So that's also a nice option to have close by. And I was able to have a nice visit with the Siamese and her brother this morning before I left to do errands. They were waiting for me outside the side door on the garage end of the condo. It was a real special treat to see them this morning.

I decided to stop on the way to work this morning and pick up 2 dozen donuts for the class. They seemed appreciative and it kept them quiet - for a while anyway. I have all the icons on my virtual desktop now but am waiting for the password for the main system. I am able to get into the help libraries though, so that helped with the activities.

Tang met us at the door when we got home. He's had his supper and shot and I'm about to give him his Temptations. He seems to be doing well.

Sounds like training is moving along for you and Anne in a positive way with you getting the icons on your computer and access to the help libraries. It's always nice when you get more access to things as the training progresses as reinforcement that you actually have a job. Please let us know how things continue to go for you and Anne.

This morning I sifted through the "stuff" in the guest bedroom and decided today was the day to start lightening the load in there. So I loaded up the car with things I wanted to donate to the used furniture store I found yesterday during errands only to get there and realize they didn't open until Noon. So I took them to Goodwill instead. I found out that the Goodwill store here does not recycle used printer cartridges so I need to find a place that does. So little by little the guest bedroom is beginning to empty out and look less like a disaster storage bin. When I got back the neighbor across the court was also returning home from errands. Her Australian Shepherd was patiently waiting for her at the door, so we saw each other and she brought Abigail over to meet me. I've seen her when she's been out with her mom or dad but until today didn't have a formal introduction. She's a sweet natured dog. It was obvious the heat was taking it's toll on Abigail, so her mom and I wished each other a good day and it was good to get back inside the condo with the AC. Lunch is now on the stove cooking as I'm writing to you.

Well, because of all the drama in the class, the training manager decided to move everybody's seats around The trainer kept Anne and I together as well as another couple and 2 ladies who seem to be friends. None of us were a part of the drama in any way. But one little snit wanted to know why we weren't being split up (you guessed it, one of the drama queens) And after we have brought candy and donuts in (at my own expense mind you) At least we had a WebEx that allowed us to see the trainer's screen in the main system we still don't have access to as well as take control one at a time for the exorcises.

Tang met us at the door and has had his supper, shot and and treats. He did not, however get his dental rinse because I noticed the "new" bottle had no safety seal and was partially gone Anne went to Pet Smart while I was in the shower to get more though, and I called the Kroger to warn them. He is otherwise doing well.

It never ceases to amaze me how "drama queens" can have so much influence over an office, or training group. It sounds like the instructor wasn't buying into her pouting that you and Anne are still together, along with the other couple and 2 friends. Just 3 more weeks and then you and Anne will graduate into your jobs. Do you have any inkling yet as to what your schedule will be? I hope it's the same as I know that would make it so much easier on you and Anne. Please continue to let us know how things go.

I'm sooooo glad you caught the packaging problem with your precious Tang's dental rinse and contacted Kroger to let them know about the obvious tampering. Am glad Anne was able to go to PetsMart to get another bottle while you were freshening up from the day. Your precious boy is so blessed to have you and Anne taking care of him.

Needed to go to my rheumatologist's office this morning for my routine blood tests. It takes about 70 minutes to get there from Bedford. I thought it would take about an hour's travel time. And so now I'm even more thankful to have made the move to Bedford so that my brother no longer has a 90 minute commute to pick me up and take me to my medical procedures, and then another 90 minute commute just to get home - - taking me back to my Franklin County home and then additional travel time home to Bedford. The drive isn't bad until you get into the city and then it's typical city traffic from there all the way to my rheumatologist's office. When I checked my email when I got back to the condo I got confirmation that my order at WalMart was ready for pick up, so I went to pick that up - - it's only a 10 to 15 minute drive there. So now I'm back and glad to be inside with the AC. I have the ceiling fan running on low speed in the office area which helps to circulate the cool air. Have lunch on the stove cooking as I'm writing to you.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and warm (85)TGIF greetings to you. I hope this finds you doing well and that all went well with your Rheumatologist's visit.

We don't know what our shifts will be until the client sends the assignments. But we've made it clear we want the 11:30 - 8:00 mid/closing shift that nobody else seems to want. So we are hopeful to work out trades as needed. We discovered the trainer and team lead could be logged in multiple times at once on the main system, so we got even more "hands on" with the exercises.

We got home a bit late as we were looking for new freezer mugs for our fruit smoothies when we picked up our staples at Walmart. We weren't successful but Anne found some nice ones online for 3.99 each at Bed Bath and Beyond online which we will pick up tomorrow.

Tang tried to bolt out the door right away when we got home, but I caught him in time. He's had his supper, shot and treats. He's chilling on the big couch now and doing well.

I'm so glad you were able to catch your precious Tang before he bolted out the door. What a naughty little boy he would have been worrying you and Anne had he succeeded. I hope you reminded him of what happened the last time he pulled a stunt like that and told him how heartbroken you and Anne would be if anything happened to him. (There's nothing like a good old fashioned "guilt trip" once in awhile). Please let us know how your "amazing Tang" is doing.

Today has been busy, and for the most part successful. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a roll up blind for the front door to try to cut down on some of the glare on the living room TV. So this morning I thought I would hang it. I ordered a 24 inch wide blind, and measured it to fit a 24 inch opening. Well, come to find out that I measured too wide for the bolts that attach to the door. So instead of remeasuring to reattach the bolts I went online and ordered a 27 inch blind - - same kind same brand - - which should - - hopefully - - fit the bolts where they currently are. I'll use the bolts that come with the new blind to hang the 24 inch blind on the door on the garage side of the condo to help cut down on the glare on the computer screen. Then I hung a new curtain rod for the living room window sheers so that I can still have the sheers over the blinds whenever the contractor delivers and installs them. That project went a LOT easier. The TV stand and coffee table were also delivered today and the both of them look very nice in the living room area. So I'm pleased with how that turned out. The timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is now ready so will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and hot (89) Caturday greetings to you. I hope this finds you doing well. Sounds like you had a lot going on today with the various home improvements. I'm glad you seem to finally have a handle on it though.

We didn't do much today. We used some 1.00 off coupons to try those Steak and Shake prime burgers. They were pretty good. Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up the freezer mugs and then Books a Million in the same shopping center. In the used book section I found a couple of TOS and TMP era Star Trek novels I haven't read in years for 1.50 each. In the movies we found a few for 4.00 each including Disney's the Cat from Outer Space which I'd been looking for for literally years.

Then we decided to stay in the neighborhood to go to Dollar Tree and Kroger. Wouldn't you know Dollar Tree had a whole bunch of freezer mugs? They were not as nice but we still got a couple as back up. I had a whole bunch of manufacturer coupons as well as 5.00 off 50.00 or more for Kroger. The regular coupons took it to 46.00 but the guy running the self check did an override to allow me to use the 5.00 coupon too. So it ended up being 40.00.

We didn't do much yesterday but go to Great Clips to use my 7.99 coupon for me to get my hair cut and have lunch.

Today we were told our trainer had to go to the hospital for a severe migraine. No doubt brought on by the stress of the little jerks in this class. Anne and I were the only ones to ask after her too. The training manager took over and while she's a fascist control freak, she did manage to get us on to all of our remaining client systems. Of course she could have just done that for the trainer in the first place

Tang met us at the door when we got home. He's had his supper and shot and I'm getting ready to give him his Temptations.

Sorry the training instructor was so ill. Migraines can be very painful needing emergency medical care. Glad the manager stepped up and got things taken care of. Please let us know how things continue to go with the training. I know you and Anne will be glad when it's done.

It's been a busy day here. I finally hooked up the CD / DVD player to the TV in the living room space, and it works. I wrote down the instructions on how to use the player with the cable TV hook up, and how to resume TV service after the player is turned off. I also hooked up the only working VCR player, although it's a bit cranky about working, but it does have power. I have two VCR players - - one for the living room and one for my bedroom. No matter what I did I couldn't get the second VCR player to work - - just can't get any power to it no matter where I plug it in. So I guess it has died. Have looked up VCR players on Amazon. They're rare, and most are used / refurbished. So don't know if I'll spring for another one. I know they're no longer in production. I also went through my VCR's and have them organized and displayed in the TV cabinet. What a difference having a video cabinet makes!!!

Also got the blinds and carpets installed today, and what a difference the blinds make. I like them a lot. And the rugs are stunning.

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm 80-ish Tuesday greetings to you, your precious prince Tang, and Anne. I hope this finds each of you doing well and in good spirits.

Was able to do more organizing today. A few weeks ago I got some hooks to put up on the inside of doors and closets to hang things that I need on a routine basis. So this morning I was finally able to get some of them put up. The interior doors are of fake wood material which makes it challenging to do any kind of work with them. Still the hooks seem fairly stable and they're mostly for "light duty" things anyway. Miss Siamese Bonnie came visiting for awhile. She thoroughly enjoyed rubbing herself on the new carpets - - partly to get her scent into them and partly because they are soft. I saw her brother Buster earlier this morning and we had a nice visit before he started on his rounds for the day. Tomorrow I'm planning on taking my laptop into a computer store in Lynchburg which is about 20 to 25 miles east from here. The screen is just barely hanging onto the keyboard, and the only place I was able to find who would try to replace the hinges is in Lynchburg. So this will certainly be an "expedition" as I'm not at all familiar with Lynchburg and expect to take the "scenic route" at some point in time either getting there or on my trip back to Bedford. I'll let you know how it goes. The timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is now ready so will get this off to you.

So sorry that Anne is suffering with another sinus infection. I hope the doctor was able to help her last night so that she can begin to feel better quickly. Please let us know how she's doing. I know your precious Tang understood your being later getting home with Anne needing to see a doctor, and hope he's doing well with his delayed insulin injection. Please let us know how he's doing.

Siamese Bonnie's mom and dad visited last night and helped me figure out the connections between the DVD player and the TV. Now I can use the DVD without the added buzzing noise. As suspected a couple of connections were backwards. I mentioned to them about having to go to Lynchburg today to get my laptop repaired and they told me about a new business that had opened here in town that fixes everything electronic but they couldn't remember the name. So this morning I called the local Chamber of Commerce and got the referral from them. Called the business and the rep confirmed that they repair broken hinges on laptops. So I took it there after I spoke with them. It is sooo nice having access to businesses like this here in town. The parts are on order which should be received on Monday and I should be able to pick it up sometime Monday afternoon, 8/20. After there I went to Radio Shack over close to the WalMart to get a new set of component wires to hook up the DVD player for the bedroom TV. When I got home Miss Bonnie came to greet me and kept me company while I got the DVD hooked up to the bedroom TV and then found a comfortable place in the bedroom to settle down to take a nap. Her sibling brother Buster also came to say hello and then went on his way for his daily constitutional. I need to get a screen door for the door on the garage side of the condo with a kitty door.

Anne got her RX but the pharmacy wasn't able to fill it until today, so we picked it up on the way home. I hate that Walmart and wish she'd told me that's where she intended to go. But she has the meds now and will hopefully start to feel better soon.

I'm glad Anne has her meds now and am keeping her in my thoughts and prayers that she will begin to feel much better very soon. Please let us know how she's doing. It sounds from what you share with us that your precious Tang isn't having any problems eating or enjoying his treats with most of his teeth missing. This is very good news. He is such a trooper with everything he has to contend with his medical challenges. His doing so well is a credit to his Forever Dad and Friend.

This morning I worked on financials - - making sure everything was entered into the checkbook properly and then reconciled it with the bank statement. Miss Bonnie kept me company as I did that project, and then she supervised me while I did some filing of receipts. I kept the door open enough so that she could leave when she wanted to. When she heard her Dad and doggy brother Buddy she decided it was time to go home. So I did a load of laundry and hung a couple more pictures. My lunch is now cooking and am looking forward to it when it's ready.

Today we learned how to read claims and see what paid, what didn't etc. We won't be processing the claims, but I can see why we need to understand them. We also learned we won't be enrolling anybody like at ADP (they have sales for that) which was a load off our minds. And it's just medicare, no commercial.

Sooo glad to share your news that Anne is already feeling better with the meds and hope she continues to get better each day. Please let us know how she's doing. It sounds like perhaps you and Anne may have found a decent job that won't overload you with responsibilities that are beyond what you're actually being trained to do. Medical billing can be a complex issue so it's helpful if you know how all the processes work together, and I'm glad you and Anne are finding this helpful.

Today has been a relatively low key day. I installed a cafe rod for the tier curtains in the master bathroom to replace the tension curtain rod that was originally put up. It makes the curtains hang a bit looser and nicer. Also put up the 24 inch roman blind on the entry door on the garage side of the condo. It looks much nicer than the curtain that was hanging there and helps to cut down on the glare from the sun better than the curtain did. Waiting for my furniture risers to be delivered later today so that I can elevate the big sofa and side chair in the living room area and the sofa in the computer space. I got the 3 inch risers which helps with sitting and standing. The timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is now ready so will get this off to you.

Work was pretty low key for a change. Just worked on claims some more and tying the processes together for the call flow.

I'm glad Anne is feeling better to go to the state fair with you today. I can imagine she would be very disappointed if she couldn't go due to not feeling well. Medication has its purpose, and I'm so glad it's working so well for her. You and Anne have a great time at the fair today, and look forward to sharing your news whenever possible, my friend.

Today has been an adventure. Yesterday I tried lifting the sofa in the computer area to put 3 inch furniture risers under each of the four legs, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it high enough, and when I did and used one hand to scoot the riser under the leg this didn't give me enough lift with one hand to get the riser under the leg. So I decided to try to use a car jack. Since I didn't have one I found a cheap one on WalMart for $19 that I could pick up this morning. When I got it home the instructions were useless and there were no illustrations explaining the different parts. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to pump. So I took it to an auto parts place just a mile from the condo. The customer rep who helped me was also totally confused as to how to work it, and no matter what she tried she couldn't get it to pump either. So I bought one of their more expensive jacks - - $36 - - and she made sure that it would work when I got it home. And sure enough - - the instruction manual was helpful and had illustrations of the different parts. And - - it worked!!! I was able to get the sofa lifted with little effort and got the furniture risers under each of the legs. In the infamous words of Hannibal Smith (George Peppard of the "A Team") - - "I love it when a plan comes together." The jack I got from the auto parts place was closely identical to the one I got from WalMart, so I once again followed the instructions for the auto parts jack for the WalMart jack - - and nothing worked. So I have re-boxed the WalMart jack and plan on returning it next week. I know there are other things the car jack can come in handy for, including for the car since I don't have a jack for it. So this has been the project of the day, and now I'm going to get my lunch started cooking and relax.

So, when we got to the fairgrounds, we saw that the main gate was closed and traffic backed up over a mile trying to get in We decided to go next weekend and hit the zoo instead. Neither of the lions was out which was disappointing, but it was still a nice time.

Sorry your trip to the fair yesterday didn't work out. I can imagine your and Anne's disappointment about not seeing the lions during your visit to the zoo. I hope the rest of your weekend is more productive for you and Anne in the "fun" department.

Not much happening here today. Getting caught up on some emails and just taking things easy and slow today. I got my first full month water bill yesterday and am pleasantly surprised about the charges. They are far less than what I had estimated they would be - - which is good news. I'm still waiting to receive my full month electric bill. I'm hoping it won't make up the difference in "savings" from the water bill and what I have estimated for the electric bill charges to be.

We didn't do much but have some lunch with some coupons and hit the peddler's mall out in Hillview as the one by us didn't open until noon. We spent about 11.00 between us and got 9 movies. A pretty good haul.

I found out (to my dismay) that Tang does NOT like the Kroger brand canned ground chicken. I got him to eat a little with some milk. But he wouldn't eat it by itself (sigh) He did enjoy the water from the tuna/egg salad I made for our lunches this week though He's had his supper (sort of) and his shot and is settled on the couch. He is well.

My sincerest apologies for not writing to you yesterday. I was occupied with getting my lap top cleaned up from being in sick bay for several days while getting the hinges replaced that I overlooked writing to you. I finally remembered last night while watching the 10 p.m. news. I have read several articles on the internet that one of the many effects of rheumatoid arthritis is memory lapses, and the more I deal with this health challenge the more I am finding how true the information is. So please forgive the oversight.

I'm glad you and Anne had a good time on Sunday finding the treasures at the peddler's mall. Sorry that your precious Tang doesn't like the Kroger brand ground chicken. Sounds like adding the milk made it more palatable for him.

Today has been focused working on the bill-a-thon for September's bills. Have all the bills entered into the checkbook except for the electric bill as that is paid in full every month and don't know what amount to enter in the checkbook until I get the bill. I'll be glad when I get on the budget payment plan next June. A customer has to have a full year's account before going on a budget payment plan. I'll need to begin scheduling online payments on Friday, 8/24. Have been able to turn off the AC today as the region is enjoying the cooler temps and hope the temps remain on the cooler side over the next several days as forecasted.

I have my infusion today so thought I would get a note off to you before I leave the condo for the day. My brother will be here in about a half hour to pick me up. I'm soooo glad he only has a mile to drive to pick me up, and then only a mile to drive to get home after he drops me off here at the condo. This is the priimary reason why I moved to Bedford - - to make his life easier when he needs to help me. Still need to finish getting ready, but wanted to get a note to you early because I forgot to mention today's procedure to you in my note to you yesterday, and I didn't want you to be concerned that something might be wrong.

Sounds like you and Anne are making progress in your training. If my math is correct you have two more weeks to get through. I hope these next couple of weeks go quickly for you, and that they are helpful to you in your actual jobs. Please let us know how things go. Tsk tsk on Tang's attempted escape yesterday when you and Anne got home. Good for Anne in making "save"!!! Perhaps he's suffering with some "cabin fever" since he no longer has access to balcony time. Have you and Anne had a chance to take him out in his stroller recently?

Yesterday went relatively okay. The nursing assistant only needed to jab me twice before being able to find a working vein. After that the procedure went normally. It is so cold in the room even though I layered my clothing and had a blanket. I think next time I'll request assistance in plugging in my heating pad. I can take warmth much easier than I can take being cold. Today has been a challenge getting my "act" together, so I've just been working on whatever catches my attention at the time. A week ago I ordered a swivel TV stand for the living room TV. A package was delivered yesterday but it wasn't even remotely close to what I ordered - - it was an entirely different item. So I called the company to request a return by UPS which was supposed to be ordered yesterday when I called. I called the company to check on the UPS return and the CSR I spoke with told that their system hadn't been updated to reflect confirmation from UPS that they would come pick up the item. So I called UPS and the CSR there told me they hadn't received any pick up request. So I called the company back and somewhat vented my frustration about the situation, but hopefully not too nastily. Since I had a UPS return sticker I was told I could take it to a UPS vendor and not wait for a pick up order. So the business supply store here in town is a UPS dealer - - which is only a 5 minute drive from the condo - - so I took it there, and the package is supposed to be picked up late this afternoon around 4 p.m. or so. When the company receives the shipment from me they will then re-issue my order and hopefully get it right this time. So I guess I should have my order by the first week of September sometime or maybe as late after Labor Day weekend. Oh well -- it's not critical.

Miss Bonnie's mom is having a couple of medical procedures done today so Miss Bonnie has been hanging out with me, with the exception of when I needed to make the quick errand to the UPS vendor. Thankfully she was still waiting for me to return when I got back and at the moment she is taking a nap in my bedroom on a nice soft blanket laid over the storage container that holds the comforters for the bed. I have the door on the garage side of the condo open so that she can leave whenever she wants to.

This morning I picked up an order from Lowes for ceiling air vent deflectors and hope to have them installed sometime in the next week or so. When I got back to the condo I began the process of scheduling payments for September's bills. I can pay the water bill through my bank's bill pay via electronic payment, but not the electric bill - - the Town still does their payments the "old fashioned way" - - paper check. Miss Bonnie came to visit for awhile. She is such a sweet natured little girl.

We had a phone/webex thing with a client rep today. I was as boring and tedious as one would expect We also lost another one for cell phone use. This one actually plugged hers into the USB port of her computer where is showed up on the network

Tang met us at the door a tad miffed at our tardiness (of course we are always late on Fridays for stopping at Walmart) He's had his supper and shot as well as his treats. He was at my feet a minute ago, but has since wandered off. He seems to be doing well. We are going to a re-showing of a live Rifftrax tomorrow in Indiana and then the KY state fair. I'm not sure if I will be able to post.
