Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. How nice that you had just enough Christmas stamps for all of your cards. It’s always nice when things work out like that.
Thank you for asking after my health. The hot shower did much to clear up my headache.
Unfortunately I saw no waifs this morning, but it had been raining all night. I didn’t see any on the way out either and the food looked untouched. I hope they are doing OK
Tang was in good spirits even though I had little time to spare for him on nuzzles. He faithfully kept me company as I readied myself for work. He also “reminded” me with a paw grab as I was getting ready to leave I had forgotten his insulin injection

I managed to get it before leaving though. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Call volume looked like it was going to be crazy today then suddenly around the time of my first break it just stopped. I looked at my work groups and they took me out of everything but Discover authorizations. Not my favorite calls, but they are brief and few and far between. I guess the Fates do throw me a bone once in a while.
I’m just counting down my time until the end of my shift and I can think about getting home to my precious Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:43

He managed to take 5 minutes late coming through and nearly triple it coming back around. One more thing I will not miss about this job. Tang met me at the door which always brightens my mood a bit. He's had his supper and is doing well. I cleaned his ears tonight and not only were they not very dirty, but no sign of the nasty T word still

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold 40-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Soooo glad to share your news that your precious Tang's ears are doing well. I can feel your elation in not finding any growths. HURRAY!!!! Your precious boy has enough to deal with health-wise, and he is so blessed to have you for his Forever Dad who diligently takes care of him. I'm so chuckling at your precious boy's "reminder" about his morning insulin. "Hey, dad - - don't forget my injection."
I know there are many things about this job that you don't like - - beginning with the transportation frustrations - - but I am sorry you're having to go through the process again of finding another job. I hope you will be able to find something quickly, my friend. Please let us know how things go.
My precious Noah and I had a snuggle this morning before I needed to get ready to do errands. Unfortunately in the process of getting up I disturbed my precious boy from his peaceful slumber. Instead of burrowing back under blankets he decided to start the day with me. Got the post office errand done and then decided to make the trek to get gas in the car as the gas gauge was looking on the low side. Haven't needed to get gas in the car since July, so it was time to fill the tank again. When I checked the propane levels in the tank for the emergency generator last week the gauge read 50 percent full. So when I got home I called the propane dealer to arrange for a delivery which should be made sometime this week. Just don't feel comfortable going into the coming winter months without the tank full. And the funds in my account will cover the cost of the delivery in full with a decent balance remaining. So that's good news.
My precious Noah is doing well. He was glad when I got back home, and is keeping me company as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious prince Tang can have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Tang. Please know you and your precious boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious prince Tang are doing, along with the community waifs, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas and princess Theresa.
Peace and blessings,

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sorry to hear Noah’s slumber was disturbed, but it sounds like he was just as pleased to spend time with you before you left for your errands. Glad to hear you got them done and home to him again, as well as getting the propane delivery scheduled.
I saw Siamese and Little Gray this morning while provisioning. It’s good to know some of them at least are doing well. I worry about them more this time of year.
Tang was in good spirits this morning. I tried to have some snuggle time with him on the bed, but he started to throw up and I picked him up so he wouldn’t throw up on the bed. He ran off so that was all there was to that. He seemed better before I left though. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Thanks for the encouragement about having to go through the old job hunt again eventually. Funny thing about that though. At lunch I checked my VM at home and got a call about a job interview later this week. But I have not applied for anything. When I called the number back I got an auto response to say my name and we’ll try to connect you; got her VM at that point. She did not say the company she was calling for nor was it in her own VM. So, I found it to be a little suspect. I called again later and it turned out to be a 3rd party looking for people to sell insurance

So, total zero on that.
I’m just counting down my time until my shift is over and I can think about getting home to my precious Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:34. A little of that time is on me as I first saw Little Gray under a car coming in, then Bobtail as I was checking my mail. Someone else was checking her mail and may have scared him off. Either that or he still hasn't gotten over my chiding him for bullying Little Gray
Tang didn't quite meet me at the door I think because they may have steamed the carpets in he hallway (it was humid and smelled nice) So the noise may have spooked him. He's had his supper and settling in now though. He is doing well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold 40-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Siamese and Little Gray yesterday during your travels / provisioning. At least you know the community tribe is still in the territory. They are so blessed to have your devotion to their care.
Don't blame you for being suspicious about the unsolicited job call. It would have been nice if it was for a job you would be interested in doing. Hope your job search will lead you to a position that is your first preference this time. Please let us know how things go.
My precious Noah and I had a nice sleep in this morning, and fortunately this morning I didn't disturb him when I got up to start the day. While he slumbered under blankets I finished working on the greeting cards for my brother and other family members who I am looking forward to seeing this year in Bedford. It will be a long day for me driving to and from Bedford and then all the activity while there, but I am so glad I'll be able to make the trip this year. This time last year I was in serious trouble with excruciating pain. When my precious Noah roused to start the day he joined me at the desk to help me with my project. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready, so will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. How nice that you will be able to visit your family this holiday season since you were not able to last year due to your health issues. I hope you have a nice and safe trip.
I only saw Siamese this morning. He/she snuck up on me when I was putting the food down and I felt a nose on my pant leg. He/she got spooked when I turned around, but came back when I called out.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and we managed a little bit of snuggle time after he kept me company getting ready for work. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Yeah, that bogus call about a job got my hopes up for all of about 5 minutes. I was informed by my sup today that anybody who stays until the final day of the 60 day notice will get a 2,500.00 bonus on top of the 4 week’s severance pay. I crunched the numbers and after taxes that’s over 3,000.00 which, I have been told, does not affect my UE benefits in any way. Something to think about. They also served the holiday meal today from which I wisely abstained. I won a wreath as a door prize which I also declined. What would I do with that anyway?
Just counting down my time until yet another work day is over and I can think about getting home to my precious boy. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny gusty blustery windy bitterly cold 20-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I can relate to your decline about accepting the wreath door prize. While there may be financial incentive to stay until the lights are turned out for the last time, I hope you will keep your options open for another job. Please let us know how things go.
So glad little Siamese came back to you when you called. He / she is feeling safe coming up to you and nuzzling your leg. This is w o n d e r f u l, and a testimony to your efforts for the community waifs to trust you.
While my precious Noah slumbered under blankets this morning I reconciled the checkbook with the bank statement and did the preliminary bill-a-thon for January's bills. I'm still waiting for an invoice for my medical supplement plan - - will probably need to call the insurance company to get verification of the amount due so that I can schedule the premium payment. My volunteer was here to help with the trash can. With it being so blustery today and into the evening she laid the can down on the ground so that the wind wouldn't blow it into the street. So we'll see if the truck driver stops tomorrow morning to collect the trash or drives by. My precious Noah has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know mine is now ready so will get this off to you.
Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and VERY cold (21 with wind chill of 11 now) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m glad to hear your volunteer was able to help you with the trash and I hope the receptacle does not get blown away.
I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket in regard to the retention bonus, but it’s nice to know it’s there so I don’t have to jump at the first thing that comes along. I can take my time and find something that’s a good fit for me. Too often in the past, “jumping” lead to some very unpleasant working environments.
Siamese was my only “customer” again today (boldly perched upon the storm drain entrance) which was surprising considering how cold it was and still is. He/she was meowing his/her head off as if to say “It’s about time you came. It’s cold out here you know!”
Tang was in good spirits this morning and we managed a little bit of snuggle time as I dressed for work. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Call volume has been a bit crazy today with upper management’s latest debacle of not just deactivating terminal files, but deleting them all together

creating a whole different level of issues. I will not miss that either.
I’m just counting down my time until my shift is over and I can think about getting home to my precious Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy frigid 20-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so chuckling at Siamese's greeting to you. It never ceases to amaze me how expressive our companions - - and all of Nature's creatures - - are. I know the community waifs appreciate all your efforts on their behalf.
Not much happening around the homestead today except just keeping warm. When I was finished with my morning get ready for the day routines I was surprised to find my precious Noah stretched out in front of his personal heater instead of still snuggled under blankets. He has been spending equal time between keeping me company and curled up in front of his space heater. The furnace to the upstairs living area is running constantly today. Only three months until spring - - I can hardly wait.
Today is F R I D A Y and I know you are counting down the hours and minutes until you can begin your trek homeward to your precious prince Tang for the weekend. As always, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious prince Tang can have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Tang. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear Noah joined you (albeit by his heater) for your daily tasks. I have started using the little heater Theresa loved so much. It’s bittersweet, but it makes me think of her.
I had no waifs this morning, not even Siamese. When I was walking to by bus stop, both piles of food looked untouched too. I hope they were all just looking for a place to keep warm and are all doing OK
Tang was in good spirits this morning and I managed to give him about ½ and hour of snuggle time on the bed. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
I’m just counting down my time until my shift is over and I can think about getting home to my precious boy. After work I have to go to the bank for a money order (late rent) and Dollar Tree which should give me just enough time to get back, use the restroom and get out to my bus stop.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful and warm evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:50. Here again some of that's on me because I saw Bobtail and Little Gray huddled under the mail boxes. I looked close and saw that someone had left left them a can of food; nice to know at least one person around here has a heart. I told Little Gray to be patient and wait her turn and Bobtail (who had control over it) to please not be mean.
Tang met me at he door and had had his supper. He's now having his evening bath and doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny "balmy" 40-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Bobtail and Little Gray yesterday on your travels home. And it is nice to know that someone else is trying to support you in your efforts to provision the waifs. Please let us know how they're doing.
I know how you feel about using your beloved princess Theresa's space heater - - it is as you say "bittersweet." Perhaps at some point in time you will hear her sigh or feel her Presence with you knowing that her sweet Living Spirit is still enjoying the warmth of HER space heater.
I called the company that provides propane for the emergency generator on Tuesday, 12/12, to request a delivery since the gauge was reading 50 percent full. I didn't hear the delivery except that it could have been early Wednesday morning when Noah suddenly got up from underneath the blankets to look out the windows. So a few minutes ago I went out to check the gauge and sure enough a delivery has been made filling the tank to full. So I can cross that project off my list. It's nice when a company responds to their customer's requests.
This morning while my precious boy slumbered under blankets I checked on some financials and printed off my sister's birthday card. Her birthday is shortly after the first of the year, and I still have some "fine tuning" I want to make to the card. My precious boy roused for the day around 11 a.m. and joined me here at the big computer. At the moment he is stretched out in front of his personal space heater.
I hope you have been able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious prince Tang can enjoy most of this day together and will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hello moon_beam. Rainy and unseasonably (65) Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah - today anyway, the high for tomorrow is 30. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear the propane company has filled your tanks in a timely manner. I just hope you don't need it.
I tried using the little space heater to keep Tang warm the other night, but he would get up and move away each time. I guess it's not for him. Hopefully, as you say, one night I will feel Theresa's presence.
I awoke at 5:20 to my alarm to get my laundry together and feed the waifs before starting it. I saw none though - not even when I went to visit during the dryer cycle

I hope they are OK.
I had the laundry room to myself and, therefore, no interference in the provisioning. If I never see that guy or anyone like him again, it will be too soon. Walking to the other bus stop (to Save a Lot) to void one annoying security guard only got me another one crashing that stop. At least he left me alone.
I only had the in the neighborhood errand to run today. The rain stayed to a light sprinkle at most and I was home at 9:05. I had a light breakfast and Tang was all too eager to share a few bites of meat.
The rest of the day has been spent reading, channel surfing and napping with my precious boy at my side - or on my chest nuzzling my face and tickling me with his whiskers
He's just had his supper and is now looking out the window - I tried giving him some balcony time when I got home from the store as the rain had let up, but he only went out briefly. He seems to be doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy dampish 50-ish Sunday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get chores / errands done quickly yesterday so that you and your precious Tang could enjoy most of the day together. I am so smiling at him nuzzling you and tickling you with his whiskers.
Not much happening around the homestead here today. My precious Noah and I had a nice sleep in this morning. While he continued to slumber under blankets I did some quiet time projects at the desk until he roused to greet me for the day around 11 a.m.. Temps right now are in the 50's but are forecasted to take a nosedive through the afternoon and evening as another Arctic air mass passes through the region this afternoon and over the next few days. According the projected forecast temps are supposed to be at least in the 40's for highs next weekend with dry weather. I'm hoping this forecast continues so that I can drive to Bedford next weekend to share Christmas with my brother and his family this year.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold (24) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope the dry weather conditions continue so you can visit your family for the holidays.
I got up on my own this morning at about 5:40 and bundled up to go feed the waifs. I saw Siamese at the first area. For some reason I decided to come back around the front way and I saw Little Gray coming from the direction of the gym. Both of their fur was matted in a few places as if to indicate they both probably got caught in last night's deluge at some point

The cold and wind this morning didn't help I'm sure. I'm keeping thoughts and prayers for all of them.
I came back in and took care of Tang's needs, then fixed a light breakfast. I didn't see the point of putting one little slice of Spam back in fridge, so Tang got a little bit extra

We've both kept to the couch this afternoon keeping each other warm and company. He's just polished off his supper from a freshly opened can and is now looking intently out the sliding doors. He seems to be doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold 30-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Siamese and Little Gray yesterday during your provisioning. If they are finding warmth in the storm drain, then they also may get wet when it rains, snow melts, etc.. I'm keeping them in my thoughts and prayers that they are safe and healthy during these cold, wet winter months. Please let us know how they're doing.
It has been a quiet day here so far finishing up on some quiet time type projects. My precious Noah was so comfortable slumbering under blankets this morning until the phone rang. Although it was my brother calling it still disturbed my precious boy. He has come to greet me here at the desk and has been enjoying the warmth of his personal heater as well.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both well. I’m sorry to hear your brother’s call disturbed your precious boy’s slumber. I hope all is well with your holiday plans.
I saw only Siamese this morning provisioning the waifs. He/she came up to me from the main storm drain grate and was “chatty” as usual. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, they are appreciated. I hope angels Theresa and Tom are looking out for them too. This time of year can be so hard on them

Tang was in good spirits this morning although he woke me up about an hour before my alarm went off

I put a pillow on my chest which he laid down on and I dozed back off. That was about the extent of our snuggle time this morning though. More on how he is doing when I get home.
Call volume has been on the high side as I see a number of people out today. With all that’s going on, I can’t help but wonder which ones are coming back.
I’m just counting down my time until the end of another day in the salt mines. Then I can turn my thoughts toward getting home to my precious boy.

Home safe and sound at 6:37. On my way in the back way to the property, I saw this black dog just standing in the street. He didn't bark or come toward me. He didn't move at all as if expecting someone to come back. It later dawned on me that's probably exactly what he was doing. Standing right where he'd probably been dumped. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Heading to the mail boxes I saw Bobtail and Little Gray huddled on someone's porch; probably the one that left the food out for them. It still made me sad to see them looking so cold

Tang met me at the door and that brightened my mood a little. He gobbled up his supper and is patiently waiting by my feet as I post this. He seems to be doing well

Hi, Tracy, sunny cold 30-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I can so understand how heart sick you were seeing the dog in the street. It just makes me very angry that there are people who consider living beings as expendable - - whoever the life form. I hope the dog was rescued from the street.
Glad you saw Siamese, Bobtail, and Little Gray yesterday during your provisioning / travels, and hope they continue to be safe in their community tribe. Please let us know how they're doing.
This morning I received a surprise call from my eldest brother in PA. I haven't heard from him for quite awhile - - at least 2 or 3 years - - no emails, no calls, no letters. So it was quite a surprise that he called. Apparently he has been dealing with some health issues as well, which is another indication that my siblings and I are an "aging population." It was good to hear from him. After he called I made a trek to the mailbox to get the mail delivered since last Thursday. I have finally received my coupon book for my medical supplemental plan which verifies the payment I need to make for January. My precious Noah was up "early" this morning around 10 a.m.. I think the sunbeams lured him from underneath the blankets to start the day earlier. We have shared some snuggles this morning. As I'm writing to you he is enjoying the warmth of his personal space heater.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m glad to hear your oldest brother called, but am sorry to hear he is having health issues. I hope he feels better soon. I didn’t see any sign of the dog today, so I too hope he was rescued.
I only saw Siamese again this morning (the resident die hard it’s looking like) I had some people to avoid so I had to come around the other way and I saw him/her on a porch behind me and perk up to run in my direction as I put the food out. I keep them all in my thoughts and prayers as usual.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and I managed about ½ an hour of snuggle time before having to head off to work. He was particularly vocal about my having to leave today. Telling him I have a 3 day weekend coming up seemed to mollify him – just barely. More on how he is doing when I get home.
The workload is not quite as hectic today (knock on wood) for which I am grateful. This place is starting to look more and more like a tomb every day.
I am just counting down my time until another work day is finished and I can think about getting home to my precious boy. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:36. It would have been sooner but when I was coming in the back, Tux Sr came running to greet me. He's looking good with a shiny coat and eyes. But then I heard a cat crying out from under a car. It was White Cat; she seemed OK but would not come to me. Her cries brought both Tux Sr and Bobtail running. I hope she's OK

He seems to be doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny "balmy" 50-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so smiling at Siamese being the morning "sentry" waiting to greet you. How nice that you saw Tux Sr yesterday evening with Bobtail as well. It has been a busy day here at the homestead. While my precious Noah slumbered under blankets this morning I finished my sister's birthday card on the computer and got it printed out. Over a period of time I have been doing some research on walkers that also assist in standing. They are walkers that have two levels of handles on them. I found a couple of websites that carry them, but the vendors don't accept gift cards toward the purchase. So I called the local medical equipment company to see if they had one in stock, and they did, and they also accept gift cards. So I made an impromptu drive into town to get the walker. I have used it once already to assist in standing from a chair, and it is helpful - - so we'll see how it does over the long haul. Yesterday I purchased a brace for my left knee from an internet vendor and I'm hoping it will arrive by Friday. According to the customer service rep I spoke with on the phone it is supposed to, so we'll see what happens. My left knee now takes the brunt of the support work because my right knee is weaker, and now my left knee is giving me some "complaints". So I'm hoping the brace will help give my left knee some support. Getting old is definitely not for the faint of heart.
When I got home my precious Noah came upstairs to eagerly greet me and let me know that it was high time I got him his lunch. Sadly, yes, it was later than usual in being served but not out of the "extraordinaily late" time frame. The timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is now ready, so will get this off to you.
Can't remember if you have Friday, 12/23, off or Monday, 12/26. But I'm glad to know that you do have an extra day for the Christmas weekend. Soon you will be heading home to your precious Tang who is also counting the hours and minutes until his Forever Dad arrives.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy but not as cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m sorry to hear your left knee is hurting from favoring the right. I hope the walker and brace will bring you much relief.
Unfortunately I had no waifs to greet me this morning and the food still looked untouched as I made my way to the bus stop this morning

I’m keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers.
Tang was in good spirits and we managed about 30 minutes or so of snuggle time before I had to finish getting ready to go to work. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
It’s the 26th that I have off for the holiday (as well as the following Monday) because the holidays fall on Sundays, the company is observing them on Mondays. They tried to deny my January 2nd, but my sup said he’d take care of it.
Just over 30 minutes before another dreary day of work is over and I can think about getting home to my precious boy. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:33 (different driver - it was nice to see some hustle) Tux Sr greeted me once again with Bobtail and Little Gray not far behind. They seemed to lose interest when all I did was talk to and pet them. This leads me to believe someone around there is feeding them in the evenings. If I inspired even one person to be kind to then I'm glad. I didn't see White Cat and got to thinking. What if she's an older cat and she's been "crying" because she just wants a home in her golden years

Tang met me at the door and gobbled up his supper once again. He's lying by my feet as I update this post. He seems to be doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny 50-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad you're seeing Tux Sr these days paling around with his buddy Bobtail, along with Siamese and Little Gray. I know you have been quite concerned about Tux Sr, as we also share your concerns for him and all the community waifs.
I'm also glad you have the Mondays off for the Christmas and New Year observances. May you and your precious prince Tang enjoy these extra days.
It has been a pleasantly quiet day here at the homestead. My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning. As he continued to enjoy sweet slumbers I worked on some quiet time projects. Fortunately he roused for the day before the substitute volunteer arrived and rang the doorbell. I always request that a volunteer call before coming to let me know they're on their way so that I can be upstairs before they arrive - - but the substitute volunteers just don't get that part of the request - - yet. We have enjoyed several cuddles this morning, and look forward to many more throughout the day. Tomorrow will be busy working on scheduling online payments for January's bills. Normally I would wait until Saturday to work on this but I have no desire to work on finances on Christmas Eve. Banks will be closed on Monday, 12/26, so nothing will get processed until Tuesday, 12/27. This shortens the payment time for bills due by January 1.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy with some sun and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m sorry to hear your substitute volunteer didn’t follow your request and hope it didn’t cause too much of a disturbance.
This morning was another shut out for waif attendance unfortunately. But the food is getting eaten by the next time I go out there. I doubt the local wildlife if eating it all. So, I remain hopeful.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and we had about ½ an hour of snuggle time on the bed before I had to finish getting ready for work. And he stayed by my side the whole time too

More on how he’s doing when I get home.
It’s been an up and down day with calls. I’m so tired of these overseas tier 1 transfer calls. They make a royal mess of things then dump it on us, which is galling considering that in a way they have stolen our jobs

I’m just counting down my time to the end of my shift and one day closer to a mini vacation. I can then think about getting home to my precious boy.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:40. Ironically, he was a minute early on the first pass through. But we ran into that same road block/detour as last time

At least it was only one way this time and he didn't just sit there for 5 minutes deciding if he should detour.
Tux Sr greeted me briefly again, but just him. Tang met me at the door. He's had his supper and is settled at my feet. He seems to be doing well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy 40-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I know what you mean about the "outsourcing" of jobs to foreign entities. Although I'm not a "fan" of our current national leader, I do agree with him that this trend has got to stop. And if he can do this in his experience as a businessman then more power to him. It will be interesting to see how Congress - - who makes the "law of the land" - - will initiate measures to keep employment opportunities in THIS Country, or continue to stall the business of the Country into oblivion. This is just my personal observations and hope they do not pose any offense to you or anyone else who may read this.
Just finished working on the primary bill-a-thon scheduling of payments. My precious Noah has just roused for the day from his peaceful slumbers under blankets and is enjoying the warmth of his personal space heater as I'm writing to you. I just have to log in the payments scheduled into my financial ledger and that will take care of the financials for today.
On Monday, 12/19, I ordered a knee brace from an online vendor to help with my left knee. I called the vendor yesterday because as of yesterday morning the brace had not yet been shipped. The customer rep I spoke with told me the brace would be shipped in the afternoon and they would upgrade the shipping to expedited 2 day delivery at no extra charge - - but the brace would probably not arrive until sometime next week. This was disappointing as I was hoping to have it for my travels to Bedford on Sunday. This morning when I checked my emails there was a notification that the brace had been shipped as of late yesterday afternoon, and much to my surprise - - in checking the FedEx tracking number - - the brace is scheduled to be delivered sometime today. YIPPEE!!! I am sooooo glad for this.
Not much else on the agenda for today. Looking forward to getting the financials finished and spending time with my precious boy.
Today is F R I D A Y - - and you have a long holiday weekend to look forward to with your precious prince Tang. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m glad your brace is due to arrive today – and hope it does for your holiday trip.
You didn’t offend me (and I am BEYOND not a fan) But he just said those things to get the “angry” vote. As a business person, he is just as guilty of outsourcing. So, I’m not expecting much on that front. WWIII perhaps, but that will render the issue moot.
Waif attendance was another shut-out today unfortunately. I have not seen Siamese even since last week (I think) and am starting to worry. One of my biggest fears is that I will encounter one of them that didn’t make it in my travels to and from home

I will still keep hoping and praying though.
Tang was in good spirits this morning. Since I woke up on my own 20 minutes ahead of my alarm, we managed to get in about 45 minutes of snuggle time before I had to go. He’s been doing this really endearing thing during those times too. He reaches over and scrapes my hair with his claws out only about half way. Like he’s “brushing” my hair

More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Call volume has been fairly light today (knock wood) perhaps due to the coming holiday weekend. But I won’t complain. I’m just counting down my time before I can leave here and head home via the Dollar Tree by where I work, and start my 3 day weekend.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 4:22. At 2:15 I was wondering if they would grant VTO, and then the lead walked by and asked if I wanted to go. Unfortunately the timing was such that to catch the early bus I had to shop at the Dollar Tree in my neighborhood. One cashier and a line to the back of the store. Still, home early to my Tang, so that is good. He's had his supper and we had some extra cuddles. He is well.

Hi Tracy.....Happy TGIF to you and Lt. Tang. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods, or should I say city. Everything is about the same here.
I saw white Bobtail out on the carport eating supper about an hour ago. Socks still waits for breakfast every morning. They look well.
No offense here either. I just hope his promise to the veterans comes true. Let the vets go to their own Dr. and the Dr. send the bill to the VA. Instead of them having to wait for months to see a VA Dr. in a VA facility, and some dying while waiting. I just hope he picks the right person for the head of the VA, NOT that person in Alaska.
Tracy and moon_beam...Tang and Noah...Here's wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Hi LMM. Rainy Christmas Eve greetings to you and hubby.
I'm glad that White Bobtail and Socks are looking well and enjoying your kind hospitality.
Hope all you like. But we've seen the people he's picked so far. And they are all the antithesis of the departments they are going to be heading (i.e. a big oil exec heading the EPA and Mitch McConnell's wife getting another shot at dismantling OSHA) . I see a very dismal next 4 years.
All that gloom aside though I hope you, hubby and your waifs have a very joyous holiday.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, rainy dampish 40-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I know what you mean about not being hopeful about the political outlook of the Country at this point in time. Like LoveMyMickey I'm trying to keep some hope that some good will come from the results of the election. The good news is that the sun still rises in the east and sets in the west, we still have our precious companions and community waifs to keep us company and enjoy, and we continue on with our daily activities regardless of what happens in the Nation's Capital.
I'm so glad you had the chance for an "early release" from work yesterday allowing you to get home to your precious Tang much sooner. I hope you have been able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious boy can enjoy most of this holiday weekend together.
Unfortunately the knee brace is not what I expected, but I'm trying to get used to it. I thought it would be a wrap-around style like I have for my right knee but instead it's a pull on and right now is difficult to pull into place as the brace needs time to stretch to conform to the shape of my knee. This morning while my precious Noah slumbered under blankets I did another search online for knee braces and found a style similar to what I use for my right knee that is indeed a wrap-around style, so I will be ordering that after the holidays. But for now I will use the brace I have when I travel to Bedford tomorrow. Unfortunately these types of purchases are considered as "personal hygiene" and are therefore non-returnable. That's okay - - I'm sure with time this brace will be okay.
Not much else happening around the homestead. Since I will be traveling to Bedford tomorrow I probably won't be online, so thought I would give you a "heads up" so that you won't be concerned.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Tang. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool Caturday/Christmas Eve greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm sorry to hear the knee brace is not what you were expecting, but hope it will serve well enough for your trip. I have a pull up brace that I bought years ago and I hate it; I can never get it to stay put.
Sun rising in the east and setting in the west. The love of our companions. I hope we can at least have this. But I've always been hope for the best, plan for the worst. And frankly I don't have much hope or faith for or in humanity.
I awoke this morning at 5:20 to my alarm. I got my laundry together then went to provision the waifs. Still a no show for all of them

The food was gone in both areas by the time I got back from the store though. There was no interference with that and I got the laundry room to myself, so that was nice.
I only had to go to Save a Lot so I was home at about 9:15. The rain was either a light drizzle or a misting for the most part, so I wasn't soaked with I got home.
Tang and I didn't get much of a nap though. I should have known with my good fortune travelling home yesterday, something else would mar our 3 day weekend. This time it was the refrigerator; cranked all the way to maximum which should have started freezing things but it wasn't even cold. Fortunately the on call maintenance tech lives 2 doors down and he was able to get a fairly new unit from another apartment with my help. I just checked a while ago and things feel cold in there. I would have hated all my food spoiling for the holiday.
It's time to get Tang his supper and insulin as well as prep the things I can on the stove for my bachelor holiday meal.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. I also hope that your travels to Bedford tomorrow are quick and safe. I wish you and your family the happiest and most joyous holiday. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy foggy dampish 40-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Soooooooooooo glad you were able to get another refrigerator to keep your food from spoiling. Having gone through that disaster earlier this year I truly am very glad you were spared having your provisions spoil. Thankfully it was a very temporary aggravation for you and quickly resolved so that you and your precious Tang could get back to the business of enjoying the weekend together.
Yesterday was a very pleasant day. The travels to Bedford were cloudy and dampish with temps only in the 40's, and travels home were misty and foggy. I decided not to wear the knee brace on my left knee and am glad I didn't as it was just too uncomfortable, so I will be disposing of that via the next trip to the special trash bins. I ordered an "economy" version of the brace that I have for my right knee given to me by the orthopedic specialist in May which should be arriving either late this week or early next week. My left knee did fairly well yesterday with minimal discomfort, and is feeling reasonably well today so far with the assistance of Tylenol. So we'll see what happens with the new brace when it arrives.
I forgot to turn on a light here in the basement living quarters before leaving for Bedford yesterday so by the time I got home around 5:30 p.m. the house was dark. When I came through the garage door into the upstairs living space my precious Noah was soooo glad to see me, as I was to see him. Was able to get him his dinner at a fairly reasonable time and get settled down for the evening. My precious boy didn't leave my side for the rest of the night. As I'm writing to you he has roused for the day and is enjoying the warmth of his personal space heater.
Am looking forward to a quiet couple of days before needing to make a trip to the post office, bank, and pharmacy to do a little bit of shopping. Wednesday looks to be the only dry day to do this.
I hope you and your precious prince Tang had a great day yesterday - - enjoying each other's company and feasts. As always, I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and incredibly, unseasonably warm (73) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm sorry to hear the new brace didn't work out for your travels, but am glad to hear you were able to make it through without too much difficulty. I hope your new one arrives soon and it works out better for you. I can so imagine your precious boy was glad to see you yesterday. I have put a sign over the kitchen light switch for maintenance and exterminator, etc saying "leave on" My fur kids have so hated it when the place is dark, so I can feel for Noah on that.
I awoke ahead of my alarm around 4:30 this morning. Provisioning the waifs I at least saw Little Gray. She was scampering down from someone's porch. I do so hope the attendance being down is due to others helping them out and not that something has happened to them
With the warm temperatures, I have been able to allow Tang some balcony time. Tomorrow we are supposed to go back to the low/mid 40s for a high for the week. The rest of the day he has spent snuggled up next to me on the couch

He is doing well.
It's been pretty low key here. Trying not to think about having to return to work tomorrow (sigh) But it helps to know it's just a 4 day week this and next week.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny warm 60-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Little Gray yesterday during provisioning, and am keeping all the community waifs in my thoughts and prayers that they are safe and taken care of. Please let us know how they're doing.
Not much happening around the homestead today. When I got up this morning around 8:30-ish my precious boy also roused from underneath the blankets for the day. I tried not to disturb him while I did my morning routines. Perhaps he didn't feel like "sleeping in" this morning. We had some clouds and rain earlier but we are getting sunbeams now at least for the moment. I had some work to do on the big desk top, and my precious boy kept me company as I worked. He has had his lunch and mine is on the stove warming.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend. I remember all too well how Tuesdays after a holiday can be on the wild side inundated with things that didn't get done or tended to during the holiday. As always, I hope your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious prince Tang can have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well.
I didn’t see any waifs this morning while provisioning, but on my way out to the bus stop I saw White Cat eating at the second feeding area. She scampered up the hill when she saw me though. So skittish that one, but one can hardly blame her. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. It breaks my heart knowing they have nothing except what little I can do for them
Tang was in good spirits this morning although none too pleased to see me go back to work (as if I was) We managed about 45 minutes of cuddle time, but he was restless and didn’t stay the whole time. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
The call volume is not the norm for a Tuesday after a holiday (knock on wood) for which I am grateful. I just didn’t want to come back after 3 days off period. But I am counting down my time until this work day comes to and end so I can think about getting home to my precious boy.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny coolish 40-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw White Cat and Tux Sr during your travels yesterday. I know you're glad to see all of them and particularly Tux Sr since he had not been seen for quite awhile. It's always good to share your news as to how the community tribe is doing.
Am also glad you were not inundated with calls yesterday after being off during the holiday weekend. And I'm so glad you were able to get home to your precious boy at a respectable hour yesterday evening.
This morning I made my errands to the post office, bank, and pharmacy to pick up a few non-prescription items. When I did my grocery shopping three weeks ago Kroger was out of butterscotch candy disks that I use to help keep my throat from getting dry. Thankfully CVS had a stock of these candies selling one full price with half price on one, so I was able to replenish my stock until the next grocery errand. As I was getting ready my precious Noah checked out what was going on, and then as I was leaving I saw that he had gone back under blankets. He was still under blankets when I returned home. He has now roused for the day and is enjoying the warmth of his personal space heater as I'm writing to you.
Last night my precious Noah came racing downstairs, and as I investigated what was going on I saw that he had captured another mouse. When I finally got it away from him it was quite clear that the little creature's Spirit had departed from this physical realm. I was able to toss it out the big door for it to become nourishment for someone else. Needless to say my precious boy was a bit miffed at me that I had taken away his "toy." I hope this is not an indication that there will be another attempted mouse homesteading.
Still need to do a couple of chores so guess I need to get this off to you. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and a bit warmer greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear the CVS was able to accommodate refilling your stash. Poor Noah. I think he was miffed more that you didn’t seem to appreciate his “gift” than you taking away his toy. Sir Thomas reacted similarly when I freed that poor locust he trapped some time back. Poor mouse. I do hope they stay outside for their safety and your piece of mind.
It was a no show on the waifs both feeding and making may way to the bus stop this morning. I will keep hoping and praying that angels Theresa and Tom will look out for them.
Tom was in pretty good spirits this morning. I wasn’t able to spare much snuggle time, but he faithfully kept me company as I got ready to go to work. His insulin is starting to run a bit low so I guess I will have to visit the new Walmart that just opened up across from the Kroger by me soon. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Same old same old for call volume. Just catching the tier 1 foul ups (sigh) Those and calls they are not skilled for – like merchants who have figured out if they press tech support rather than terminal they can bypass them.
I’m just counting down my time until yet another work day will come to a close so I can think about getting home to my precious boy. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:27 albeit a little wet as the rain started earlier than predicted. When I got to mail boxes I heard meowing but couldn't see any waif; turns out it was Bobtail trying to get into the laundry room for some reason (it had stopped raining by that time) We exchanged pleasantries and I was off. Tang met me at the door (always the best part of my day) He's had his supper and taking his evening bath. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny blustery 40-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm glad your days in the call center aren't inundated with constant calls to deal with. I hope the remainder of your time with this job continues to be decent. Please let us know how things go.
I'm also glad you saw Bobtail yesterday evening on your travels as it has been several days since you last saw him. Am continuing to keep the community waifs in my thoughts and prayers that they are safe, and look forward to sharing your new as to how they're doing.
Hope you're able to get your precious Tang's insulin from the new WalMart. Please let us know how this goes.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle in this morning, and fortunately when I got up to start the day he continued to slumber peacefully under blankets. Worked on a few quiet type projects trying not to disturb him. He finally roused for the day around 11:30 a.m., and is keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. As far as I know my regular volunteer will be here today to help with the trash can and get the mail that has been delivered since Tuesday. I'm looking forward to seeing her.
A few minutes ago I had to call the company I ordered the new knee brace from to get an update on the order as every time I tried to access the information on their website I got a message saying the order could not be found. The rep I spoke with was very nice and sent me an email with the shipment tracking number so I'll check on the status from the FedEx website after I get this off to you. I'm looking forward to getting the new knee brace for my right knee, and feel confident this one will work.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool but not too cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope you are able to get your knee brace soon and that it works out for you. I also hope you have a nice visit with your regular volunteer.
This morning while provisioning for the waifs I saw one of the Tux boys but not Sr (no tail kink) At first I thought is was Jr as he came up to me and meowed. But if it was, he’s gotten a lot bigger. That just leaves Other, but if so he’s gotten over his shyness. I have not seen either in many weeks so it was nice either way. He started to eat right away but then looked up at me as if to say “Is it OK?” Of course I said yes that’s why it’s there silly
Tang was in good spirits this morning and we got a little but not much snuggle time in. He kept me faithful company as I got ready to go to work. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
The majority of the call volume is overflow from tier 1 as it has been for the week. VTO is a nice thought, but probably not a reality all things considered. Now I’m just counting down my time until my shift is over and I can think about getting home to my precious boy.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:35 a little rumpled by some hard, gusty winds

Tang met me at the door which always brightens my day. He's had his supper and is lying at my feet and I update this post. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny blustery cold 30-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw one of the Tux boys yesterday during your provisioning. It's always good to know how the community waifs are doing. They continue to be in my thoughts and prayers that they are safe and warm.
My precious Noah and I had a nice sleep in this morning, and I managed not to disturb him when I got up to start the day. My quiet type project was going through copies of receipts I have made through the year for tax purposes to organize them and get them ready to go through to begin working on my 2016 taxes. Now that I am receiving a monthly retirement stipend from my previous employer I will need to begin to file taxes again. Because the monthly amount I'm receiving is small I don't have Federal and State taxes withheld, and the good news in this regard is that my deductions far outweigh any tax withholding, so I won't ever have to pay taxes on my retirement stipend. My precious emerged from underneath the blankets around Noon and joined me at the desk to keep me company while I finished organizing the receipts.
Otherwise not much going on around the homestead. I received my new knee brace late yesterday afternoon and it is a 1000 percent improvement from the other one which turned out to be totally useless.
I'm wondering if, and hoping, you will get an "early release" today like you did last Friday. Regardless, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious prince Tang can have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. That’s good news about your taxes and retirement payments. I’m glad to hear your new brace is working out so well too.
This morning I had 0 for waif attendance. I thought I may have caught a glimpse of Siamese out of the corner of my eye, but I couldn’t be sure. I keep them in my thoughts and prayers as you do and hope they keep surprising me.
Tang was in good spirits this morning. We had a little snuggle time but not a lot. I’ll make it up to him this coming long weekend though. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
The call volume now would certainly warrant VTO, but so far no offers. I guess we will have to see. Otherwise, I am counting down my time until this work day/week is over and I can think about getting home to my precious boy.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound at 6:38. I saw Bobtail and Little Gray at the bottom of a stairwell and one of the Tux boys at the top. It looked like Bobtail was "asserting" himself again (sigh) Tang met me at the door though which is always nice. He gobbled up his supper and we are both getting ready to settle in. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, was sunny now getting cloudy cold 40-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Sorry you didn't get an early release from work yesterday but it seems you got home at a fairly decent hour. At least you were able to see some of the community waifs during your evening travels letting you know they are still with you.
While my precious boy enjoyed pleasant slumbers under blankets this morning I was able to do some quiet type projects at the big desk top including scheduling payment of a couple of bills. My precious Noah roused to start the day around 11 a.m. and joined me at the big computer while I finished my work and got the security scan started. He is now settled comfortably next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you. Nothing exciting on the agenda for today, or this weekend for that matter, for which I am very thankful.
Hope you have been able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious Tang can enjoy most of this day together and have the remainder of the weekend to focus on each other. I hope you and your precious prince Tang will have a very blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy, sometimes rainy and cool Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well on this final day of 2016.
I awoke to my alarm this morning at 5:30. I got my laundry together and proceeded to put food out for the waifs to 0 attendance again. I got my laundry started (room to myself until it was time for the dryers) While my clothes got started in the dryers, I decided to investigate. I went over to get a closer look at that same stairwell. It's not like all the other buildings where the entrances are on either side and totally outside. This one is a sort of covered alcove. Someone has put some old blankets outside one of the doors in a covered area. Sure enough, there was Bobtail and Little Gray snuggled up on them. While this does nothing to explain the disappearance of Siamese (and others) closer to me, it does at least explain the whereabouts of the others.
Since I had to go to the new Walmart for Tang's insulin (in addition to a box of syringes that I got for 12.58 rather than the 17.95 online) I decided to shop there to save time. Probably not a good idea in hindsight. One should never try to shop at a new store one doesn't know the layout of when time is a factor. I barely made my 10:24 bus home from the library (not to mention the longer walk to get there) and spent about 20.00 more than I had intended to. And I forgot food for the waifs and a couple other things

Looks like I will be taking the earlier bus to work Tuesday to hit that Kroger over there (sigh) I should have enough food for the waifs to last until at least the middle of next week.
The walk home from the bus stop was not fun in the wind, sleet or freezing rain (which ever it was) I got in just before 11:00. I had some breakfast that I shared with Tang after the groceries were put up. The rest of the day has been spent cuddling and napping with my precious boy on the couch. He's just had his supper and is doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, new year 2017 greetings to you and your precious prince Tang on this sunny "warmish" 50-ish Sunday from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like someone is trying to assist you in looking out for the community waifs. How nice they have provided some blankets in a sheltered area. You are providing an example of compassion, my friend, and it sounds like someone else is joining you in your efforts. Please let us know how the community tribe is doing.
Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday with chores and errands. Sorry your travels home were wet. I hope you don't have any negative side effects from exposure to the unpleasant weather.
It has been a quiet start to 2017 so far, for which I am very thankful - - a very welcome improvement over last year. As my precious Noah slumbered under blankets this morning I began my internet search for organizations to whom I could donate some of the commemorative stamps. So I have addresses now and have composed the letters to each organization. All I need to do is print the letters whenever I'm ready to send them. My precious boy joined me at the big computer desk around 11 a.m. to greet me and start the day.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a very blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hi Tracy....."Happy New Year" to you and Lt. Tang! I hope the new year brings you many blessings.
I'm glad to see that someone is helping with the little waifs. Our faithfuls, Socks and Bobtail, still come by for a couple of meals a day. Socks is getting fat. I hope that is all it is. I hope she/he doesn't have a bunch of Bobtail Socks.
I don't know if you read this story or not. Todd Fisher was in the cemetery looking for a place for his mother and sister to be buried. A bunch of hummingbirds came down and landed on a certain spot. He picked that one because his mother loved hummingbirds. I thought that was very interesting.
Have a good day and I know our little angels are watching over us.....God Bless! TTFN

Hello moon_beam, Happy New Year greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well.
The only waif I saw this morning was White Cat (I think) She was up by the wall of the gym probably keeping warm from the bleed off the heat/AC unit. I called to her but she said nothing and didn't move. I didn't want to scare her off by approaching her either. I hope she at least got some of the food.
It's been a pretty low key day here too. I think I'm feeling some of the effects of walking home yesterday in the foul weather. I hope a nice hot shower will remedy some of it. Thank goodness for plenty of soup and an extra day off.
Tang is well and has just had his supper. I'm sorry to be so brief, but I'm not feeling so hot. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hello LMM. Happy New Year greetings to you, hubby, Socks an Bobtail.
I am glad to hear your waifs are still coming by for your gracious hospitality. Has Socks given any indication of being female and/or in heat? I certainly hope you don't have a litter of kittens to deal with. I know my Bobtail had a litter of at least 5 before getting fixed. I'm still pretty sure the manger had something to do with that via her association with the Shamrock group - but she won't admit it. I am pretty sure she knows I and others are feeding/helping the waifs, but she keeps mum about that too.
I had not seen the story about Mr. Fisher, but it's a very nice sentiment. Quite a shame about his mother and sister - and just 1 day apart too.
Sorry to cut this short, but as I posted to moon_beam, I'm not feeling so well. I hope you and yours have a pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, rainy, gloomy dampish 40-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm sorry you weren't feeling well yesterday and hope you're feeling better today. After being so ill from the food poisoning episode your immune system is still not working at prime form. I do hope a nice hot shower helps to make you feel better. And I am also glad you have this extra day to rest and share with your precious Tang. Please let us know how you're doing.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning, and I was able to begin the day without disturbing my precious boy. While he continued to have sweet slumbers I was able to finish the preliminary preparation for my tax return. Have all the figures confirmed for mortgage interest paid and health care costs. So we'll see what the IRS has to say about my need to file when the new tax regulations are finally available. Just as I was finishing my precious Noah joined me at the desk around 11:30 a.m. to greet me and start the day. As I'm writing to you he is enjoying his personal space heater.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a very blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Hello moon_beam. Rainy day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. The hot shower and a nice bowl of soup did help indeed. I thank you for your thoughts and concern.
While provisioning this morning I saw Siamese or the first time in over a week! They continue to surprise with how long they will disappear and then show up as if nothing happened. I poked around the covered stairwell and encountered Little Gray too.
I came back in to take care of Tang's needs (insulin, litter boxes, food and water etc) and laid back down until about 10:00. I then had a modest lunch and did some reading.
Some of our cuddle time today was spent stretched out in the bed to Tang's delight. He curled up on a pillow by my head and purred himself (and me) right to sleep

I'll be getting his supper before too long. He is well.
I hope today is treating you and Noah a kindly and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy dampish forecasted to be rainy 40-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were feeling better yesterday and hope this trend continues. You really don't need any further medical issues to contend with.
How nice that you saw Siamese and Little Gray yesterday during your provisioning. It's always encouraging to know that the community tribe is still intact. Please let us know how they're doing.
Late yesterday afternoon I visited both the IRS and State tax websites to see if there were filing instructions available for 2016, and indeed they are available online now. So I checked the filing requirements and it seems I won't need to file any tax returns this year as my income from my retirement stipend from my previous employer does not warrant it. So I can now file my receipts. The weather forecast has some wintry "s-type" weather in the forecast for this weekend so I will probably make my errand run to the post office on Friday, 1/6. I was hoping to be able to wait until Monday, 1/9, but don't want to run the risk of being snowed in until someone can dig me out.
My precious Noah enjoyed sweet slumbers while I did some quiet type projects and joined me at the desk around 11 a.m. to greet me and start the day. He is enjoying the warmth of his personal space heater as I'm writing to you.
I know today it's back to the grindstone at work for you. Another rainy day’s greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear you don’t have to file a tax return this year. One less headache for you to deal with. I hope you are able to get your errands completed before the onset of any winter weather as well.
I didn’t see any waifs while provisioning this morning, but I did see White Cat at the 2nd feeding area on my way back out again. The rain didn’t seem to deter her and she didn’t mind the “mushy” food. I don’t know what it is about her, but I sense a very sad and lonely older cat in her being

I wish there was more I could do for her – for all of them really. That being said, I was able to catch the earlier bus to work so I could stop at Kroger and get more food for them.
Tang was in pretty good spirits this morning. Having had to leave earlier and cleaning up after his upset tummy left no real snuggle time though. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Another Tuesday after a holiday weekend here in the pit of despair. The slower than usual call volume consisting mostly of overseas tier 1 transfers remaining the norm. I will SO not miss that. In fact if my next job is the polar opposite of call center, that would suit me just fine.
I am now just counting down my time before the end of yet another dreary workday and can think about getting home to my precious boy. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Home safe and sound (albeit a bit damp) at 6:49. Yep, he's back at it again. No doubt using the road closure by the downtown convention center as an excuse - even though that bus goes nowhere near there; and the other bus was only a few minutes late. What really steams me is that he will probably be on that route making others late long after this job is over.
I looked in the covered stairway area and the blanket is gone. And there was a new waif I didn't recognize huddled at the top of the stairs. The vicious cycle by these shady tenants continues (sigh) I'd like to put them out for the winter
Tang met me at the door and was understanding of my lateness. He's had his supper and laying by my feet. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy gusty windy chilly 40-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So sorry your precious Tang had an upset tummy yesterday morning. I can imagine you were concerned about him during the day at work. Am glad to share your news he was doing well last night.
I'm sorry the blanket has disappeared from the sheltered staircase. I know how you feel when you share with us "The vicious cycle by these shady tenants continues (sigh) I'd like to put them out for the winter." Perhaps when the person who donated the blanket sees that it is missing will provide another one for the waifs. So White Cat, Bobtail, the Tux boys, and the other community waifs have a new member to welcome into their tribe. Look forward to knowing how the new member and all the waifs are doing.
It has been busy here today with chores and working on financials. Was able to hobble out to the mailbox to get the important mail that has been delivered since last Thursday - - which included a couple of bills that I was expecting. Noah's food is scheduled for delivery today so I scheduled payment for that as well. Temps are supposed to be only in the 20's for highs on Monday, 1/9, so I have decided to make my errand run to the post office on Friday, 1/6, when temps are forecasted to be "warmer" in the 30's.
Although the new knee brace is ever so much more comfortable, unfortunately for some reason when I wear it my left knee is more uncomfortable than it is without it. Don't quite understand the reason for that, so I have decided to no longer try to use it, at least not at this time. Perhaps when my knee is not quite so painful I will be able to tolerate it better. I am having to rely on my walker for primary navigation assistance until my knee is feeling better. There always has to be "something" to contend with - - very frustrating and aggravating - - but I'll survive.
My precious Noah is doing well. When I got up this morning around 8:30 a.m. my precious Noah decided to make an early rise as well. He has been keeping me faithful company as I work on various projects.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm sorry to hear your new brace isn't working and that you had to hobble to the mailbox. I thought you have volunteers for that though.
Speaking of knee problems. I saw Siamese this morning while provisioning, but I also found the only patch of ice on the whole jogging path and twisted mine. I wasn't too bad but it slowed me down enough that I know would have missed my bus. Thank goodness for a new year and a replenished PTO bank.
I used my hot/cold gel pack and some OTC meds and am doing better after resting my knee all day. Tang has been comforting which was nice.
I'm about to get his supper and evening insulin before too long. He seems to be doing well today.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold 30-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So sorry you fell yesterday and am glad your knee was feeling better yesterday evening. I hope you were able to go into work today, and hope your knee continues to feel okay. Please let us know how you're doing.
Today has been a quiet project type day. While my precious Noah enjoyed sweet slumbers under blankets this morning I finished going through my collection of commemorative stamps - - again - - and have set aside the ones I'm going to donate to Goodwill. Now instead of having 4 books I only have 2, and they are the stamps I want to keep. I was able to get my precious Noah his lunch before my volunteer arrived to help me with a few things. She only comes once a week on Thursdays, so I make a trek to the mailbox one day to get mail that is delivered after Thursdays so that the mail doesn't indefinitely collect in the mailbox for several days. I had been expecting a couple of bills and getting the mail yesterday gave me a chance to work on getting checks written to put in the mail tomorrow.
The timer on the stove is letting me know that my lunch is now ready, so will get this off to you.
