Hello moon_beam. Sunny and pleasant Easter Sunday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well.
I had something of an Easter miracle feeding the waifs this morning. At the further feeding area I had Tux, the orange and white bobtail (who seems to have gotten fixed - confirmed by the crescent shaped clip on his left ear) and the little gray one that reminds me of Tom as a kitten. Sadly, Tux seems to have gotten himself into some sort of jam and now has a crook in his tail

(partially broken?) Tux and Bobtail took turns eating and would bat at the others butt gently indicating a change of turns (I just had to go get more food for this) Then they both stood guard while the little gray cat ate. I sat on the planter across from the fence and Bobtail and Tux took turns letting me pet them while the other ate
The rest of the day has been a typical lazy Sunday spent recharging with the benefit of snuggles and purrs. Theresa and Tang have had many opportunities for balcony time since the weather is so nice. Both are doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I am sooooooo smiling at the community waifs giving you a special Easter miracle. I can imagine how thrilled you were - - and still are - - to have gained their trust to have this experience. You are blessed to have their trust, my friend, and they are blessed to have you for their provider and protector. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.
I'm also glad you and your precious companions had a peaceful day together. I know they appreciated the opportunity for balcony time - - and more importantly having snuggle time with their Forever Dad.
My precious Noah has joined me here at the big desk top - - from slumbering underneath the blankets - - to begin the day with me. Not much on the agenda for today. May begin some sorting of "stuff" to take to Goodwill at some point in time.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, along with the community waifs, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.
Peace and blessings,

Hello moon_beam. Sunny with some clouds and coolish (upper 50s) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. How's the leg so far with the injection?
I have wonderful news on the work front. When I signed into the phone system about 8:30ish, I saw that was about 1/2 an hour out of adherence

I think you might see where I'm going here. Yep, as of today I am 8-4:30 Monday-Friday! My sup confirmed it with an instant message when he came in. Still no traction on the seating assignment though. But this is a major victory I think. The only downside I can think of is how to get to the office and reload my laundry card with them closed weekends these days. I emailed the manager/asst. mgr for suggestions though. And my laundry schedule this week will be a bit off kilter. But it's worth it. Had to wing it with breaks/lunch working 9-5:30 today. But I was told I would not be counted tardy and can start the new schedule tomorrow.
My bus home was in fact about 2 minutes early - but you won't hear me complain. With my new schedule, I can be right out there everyday on the first pass through - assuming he's on time.
Theresa and Tang met me at the door and perked right up when I told them I don't have to work Caturdays anymore

They have enjoyed some balcony time with the pleasant spring weather this evening. Both are well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 50-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
CONGRATULATIONS on your new work schedule. I am soooo thrilled for you. You and your precious companions will have WEEKENDS together. YEA!!!!! I can imagine your precious fur tribe was doing somersaults and leaps of glee - - if not actually then certainly in spirit - - when you told them the good news. I am soooooo happy for you, my friend. Of course it would be "ideal" now if you could get your seating assignment changed - - one thing at a time, and I think you have achieved a major victory in your work schedule. Please let us know how things go with your seat assignment.
Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement with my health challenges with my leg. My leg continues to do well since the steroid injection in my thigh. I am able to use my cane more now and am slowly finding confidence in walking short distances without any additional support - - but with additional support within reach should I need it. My knee and ankle continue to be on the wobbly side but manageable. I continue to use my walker at night and when I go outside to get the mail, etc.. Yesterday I tried to get into the driver's seat in the van but without success. So I considered my options and tried again today and - - succeeded!! YEA!!! I managed to engage the brake pedal okay, and started the car. After sitting idle for 3.5 months the car started without any problems. I am soo thankful for this. My next step will be to begin making local short errand trips in the next week or so. I am soooo happy with the progress since the injection last week.
The freezer section of the refrigerator upstairs has decided to go on the fritz. This annoys me greatly because that's where I have been keeping the majority of my frozen foods until I need to re-stock my basement fridge. Now all of that frozen food has to be thrown out. The fridge is 27 years old and is the second time it has needed repair. I called GE yesterday and a service rep is to be here sometime tomorrow to diagnose the problem and fix it. I'm really not in the mood to go shopping for another fridge, so I'm hoping the cost of the repair will be more cost effective. I'll let you know how it goes.
While my precious Noah slumbered under blankets this morning I tackled organizing my tax records / receipts for 2015. It was a challenge going through everything, but I finally have things for 2015 expenses in order. The only thing I can't find are my monthly mortgage payment receipts. I have the year end statement which is enough for my records, but I always keep the monthly receipts that shows the actual interest paid with each payment. I'm hoping I didn't shred them by mistake - - but if I did - - well - - so be it. I have the year end statement which is the most important document to have. My precious Noah's food was delivered and have that sorted, and I have the comforter that was on the bed a few months ago now in the dryer. It feels sooooo good to be able to FUNCTION again - - on a limited basis still - - but still FUNCTIONING!!!
So this is the news here today. As always, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool but still pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm so glad to hear you're continuing to improve. Don't try to do too much too soon though. Perhaps one of your helpers can ride along the first few times to be sure you're OK to drive? Just a suggestion. I'm so sorry to hear about your freezer. I know how costly and devastating such a loss of perfectly good food can be

I hope the repair is quick and cost effective.
Thanks for the kind words on the schedule change. To paraphrase Gerald Ford, my long (professional rather than national) nightmare is over. They started moving several people today. I had to laugh when none of their phone log ins would work at their new stations. Of course not, they were keyed to the old station's IDs. I have not been moved yet, but I noticed they scooted my new assigned seat down one. It looks like the seat to the right of me (in fact the whole rest of that row) is empty (no phone or computer) and the woman to my left (assuming they don't move her) is very quiet.
It was nice to be able to take my time at the end of my shift shutting down things with an hour before my bus was due. He was on time on the first pass (another thing that's nice is I have plenty of time to get out there for that) but traffic made us late ultimately.
Theresa and Tang met me at the door which is always nice

Only Tang briefly took advantage of balcony time. I think it was too cool for Theresa and people in the lot spooked Tang. I certainly get where he's coming from. Both are well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 50-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like things are steadily improving for you at work -- which is so much better with this employer than what you have experienced with previous jobs. And I'm so glad you have some "breathing room" in making it to your bus stop in the evenings. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that this trend continues - - including eventually being able to apply for other positions you are interested in when you are HR eligible - - and hoping being selected for one of them. Please let us know how things go.
Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement with my leg. I have been thinking about having someone go with me when I begin to drive again. I may begin "testing" my leg by driving out to the mailbox and then back into the garage a few times before actually taking to the road. It will be on a day when I feel I am ready for the "maiden flight" since it has been 3.5 months since driving. This may not sound like a long time, but for me it feels like a lifetime - - almost. Believe me when I tell you that I am NOT interested in doing something that will cause a relapse.
My precious Noah is still slumbering peacefully under blankets as I'm writing to you. I was hoping the service rep for the fridge would be coming this morning but it now looks like a rep won't be here until sometime this afternoon. I have been working on printing out receipts this morning and getting my project desks better organized so that I can actually work on them again.
Once again, my friend, I'm so very glad things are better for you at work - - particularly your work schedule. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Partly sunny and warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear you will be enlisting assistance on your first driving attempts; I was worried. But I can understand feeling "Stir crazy" though.
Well, I moved desks today. They moved the woman next to me. So I have 2 empty to the left and one to the right. And no paper signs with names indicating they intend to fill them. But we also found out the reason for the moves in meetings in small groups with a new leader type. He has this whole "I'm just like you, down to earth. And look, I don't even wear a tie." Ahem. Hogwash! The move was to mingle more experienced people with ones that are less so (Sure would be interested to know where between 1-10 my sup scored me on that one) All of this, of course, because of the newbs whining to him and threatening to quit (can you imagine yours or my generation doing that?) More one on ones and "mentoring" I'll tell what I read between the lines: Micromanaging is coming

So much for my days of flying under the radar in peace.
The bus home was on time picking me up but stymied by traffic again. Theresa and Tang met me at the door which is always nice. Both are well and they are taking turns enjoying balcony time while they can. Storms and rain moving in tonight through tomorrow. I think I'll wear by boots tomorrow and use my back up shoes at my desk. At least my feet will be dry.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy 60-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Ah yes - - the musical chairs - - an obvious sign that management is "undecided" about things - - so they move people like pawns on a chess board. I hope your new seating arrangement is suitable for you, my friend. It's sad when we see the "signs" of "history repeating itself" from experiences we have had with other employers. I hope you will continue to "fly under the radar in peace", my friend. So far this job has been the best one you have had for several years - - and I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that this will continue to be the case.
Hope your boots keep your feet dry in the rain today, and am glad you have your shoes at work to change into. You don't need to work in wet feet and getting chilled again - - particularly after being so ill recently.
The fridge service rep was here a little after 1 pm. Diagnosis was a bad thermostat. Sadly, though, because the fridge is so old parts are no longer available for it. So what could have a repair of $300 including parts, labor, and service call turned into having to buy a new fridge at $1,200. The service rep helped me select a model online that will fit in the space available - - and GE only has one model that will do that. It will be delivered on Saturday, 4/2, so I have a call into the Neighbor's group for assistance to the grocery store next week. Someone somewhere must think I have a private gold mine.
My precious Noah has just joined me here at the computer desk to greet me for the day. While he was slumbering under blankets I did a bit more straightening up around the project desks and lo and behold - - I found my mortgage receipts from last year - - so have put them in the folder with my other receipts. YEA!!! They had fallen on the floor behind one of the desks. So this is good news.
Not much else on the agenda for today. Tomorrow morning I have a meeting with another yard maintenance contractor to get his estimate on taking care of the yard for me. I called the other contractor on Tuesday and left a message on his voice mail - - haven't heard from him. So - - I think it's time to try someone else.

Hello moon_beam. Started out rainy and stormy but now partly sunny and pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm so sorry the repairman couldn't get a part for your fridge and you had to buy a new one. I know how painfully costly that is on top of the lost food

I hope the new one gets installed without a hitch.
Yes, your "musical chairs" description is as good as any. Mr. "I'm Such a Darn Nice Guy" made the rounds and literally talked to everyone BUT me. He must sense I know his "regular guy" act is just that - an act. It's and old scam that's especially effective with mewling whiners. They think they're being "hand held" but are just being micromanaged. The lady sup I know from BAMS will be all over it (it's what we clashed about there) But my sup will likely resist. Perhaps he and I can strike a deal where he leaves me alone unless I specifically ask for something. That seems good enough for the new leader after all (in regards to me anyway)
The worst of the storms were out of here by the time I went to wait for my bus, in fact it stopped raining completely. I would say I didn't need my boots, but I did this morning. The bus was 15 minutes late, so it was nice to keep dry waiting.
Theresa and Tang met me at the door and my girl wanted her hugs

They have had some balcony time and both are doing well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes sunny 60-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you had a dry commute home yesterday, and glad you had your boots just in case you needed them. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you will be able to continue to work in your current position peacefully. Please let us know how things go.
Thank you for your encouragement about the fridge. EVERYTHING here is aging just like me - - the water heater, the basement refrigerator, etc.. It's the TIMING of things needing to be replaced - - when expenses are already stretched with medical needs and yard maintenance and on and on and on. I will endure. Speaking of yard maintenance I had a meeting with another lawn contractor this morning and he seems to be wanting to work. He will send me a cost estimate for the work, and indicated he could begin sometime next week. The yard clean up will be the most expensive part of the job but that's to be expected.
My precious Noah is doing well. He is settled next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. We got a thunderstorm through the area early this morning - - my precious Noah kept close to me until the storm passed to make sure I was okay. Both of us get a little anxious when thunderstorms come through the area.
Today really is a T G I F day for you - - I am sooooo thrilled that you have a full weekend to look forward to with your precious companions. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool but pleasant TGIF (yes, it does mean something again) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm so sorry you are having to suffer so many costly repairs/replacements. Our thoughts and prayers are with you to get through it as painlessly as possible. I hope you hear back from the yard contractor soon as well.
Well I made it through my first M-F week. Working that extra day took some getting used to, but I think it will be totally worth it in the long run. Although getting the laundry room to myself will likely be a thing of the past.
Since the team lead (who is new to the job) was by himself today (because one quit last week) I thought I'd help out with a few of the easier answers in chat. Should have known better though. He sends me a side Lync to stop giving answers/fulfilling requests in the chat room in the guise that if I do that the new hires won't learn anything. But that's exactly what he does, as well as some of the senior techs in the room. Heck by the end of the day, the new hires were chiming in with answers (though they were mostly wrong) He thanked them ALL! Flashback to the old NPC/BAMS. People feeling threatened by my knowledge and experience

Needless to say, I'll be fighting the urge to put anything in there but my own requests for help.
The bus home tonight was 25 minutes late today by the time I got off (20 minutes picking me up) I hope this is not a regular Friday thing like when I worked downtown.
Theresa and Tang met me at the door and are settling in. Both are well. Sorry for the brevity, but with the bus being so late and doing my Dollar Tree run, I'm fairly whooped.

Hi, Tracy, sunny windy Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Sorry you were "chastised" yesterday for helping with the chat customers. I don't blame you for not "volunteering" again - - have been there myself so I have a pretty good idea about the "politics" involved. Just keep doing the great job you're doing and when you're HR eligible to begin applying for jobs in other departments - - keep your options open.
The saga of the refrigerators continues. The new refrigerator was delivered this morning - - great, right? WRONG!!! The way the water line was installed for the old refrigerator does not meet current warranty specifications for the new refrigerator. So now I have to get a plumber here to re-install a NEW water line that leads to the refrigerator that meets the warranty specifications so that a crew can come back to finish the installation to keep the warranty in effect - - and take the old refrigerator away. So right now I have two refrigerators upstairs both of them totally useless. To say I am aggravated and angry is a HUGE understatement. And this is a classic example of why I do NOT like surprises. I will survive this - - but I really do NOT need this aggravation right now. And I thank you, my friend, for letting me vent.
The good news is that my precious Noah is doing well, and is trying his best to cheer me up. He is such a joy and I'm soooo thankful to have him here with me.
I hope you are able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy most of this day together, and will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cooler Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. That being said, I am SO sorry to hear you've incurred yet another expense in getting your new fridge up and running. I don't blame you one bit for being upset about it. Like you said, it's just one thing after another. I can certainly empathize. I don't like surprises either (sometimes even when they are "good") I hope and pray no more pop up for you.
As expected I didn't get the laundry room to myself even starting at 5:30. There was a woman finishing up with the driers when I can to switch my loads over to dry (meaning hers were the driers running when I came in) And another came to start wash when I was getting my stuff out of the drier. But I did get my preferred machines and access to the folding table (well, mostly)
Grocery run was a breeze taking the bus up there right as they opened. Had to walk home though because it being a weekend UPS bus only runs every 2.5 hours. But I still got in just after 9:00 giving me a fairly full day to spend with the kids which we all relished
Some troubling news about Tang though. Not life threatening thank goodness but saddening. He was keeping me company sitting on the commode during my shower as usual, and when I got out to dry he looked up an meowed at me: His other lower canine is gone

He's still eating though as his molars seem to be in good shape at least. Might be why so finicky with the can food. Tonight I had to start him off feeding it to him off my fingers, and then he proceeded to eat the rest.
Other than that, he and Theresa are well and enjoying their dad being home on Caturday. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny quite blustery 40-ish degree Sunday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Poor little Tang. I am sooo sorry he has lost another tooth. And yes, that might be why he was finicky with the canned food again. It's uncomfortable eating when your mouth / gums are sore. He is so fortunate to have you for his Forever Dad ever vigilant to know what is going on with him, and comforting him. I know you are keeping him under close observation to make sure he doesn't have another infection set it. Please let us know how he's doing.
Thank you for your kind support and encouragement with the many sagas I am dealing with at the moment. I'll let you know how things go tomorrow with the plumber.
So glad you were able to get errands and chores done quickly yesterday, and know your precious companions were absolutely delighted to have you home with them. Sorry you had to walk home from your errands, though, and hope you are able to get some good rest today with your precious fur tribe's cuddles and snuggles to cheer you.
Not much going on here today. I did receive an estimate contract from the contractor who was here on Friday morning, and got it signed and sent back to him. So far he's the only one who has actually done what he said he would do about sending me an estimate contract. So we'll see how it goes. My precious Noah has just roused from the blankets and is on his big window bench enjoying the warm sunbeams. The wind is quite blustery still today after howling all night long - - which unsettled both Noah and me. The gusty wind is supposed to calm down as the progresses, and for that I will be thankful. Now that my precious Noah has started the day I can straighten up blankets, so will do that after I get this sent off to you.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool but not unpleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope all goes well with the plumber tomorrow and you hear back soon from the contractor.
Thank you for your kind words about Tang. I did some online research about feline diabetes and this is what Cat Hospital of Chicago had to say:
Another dental problem affecting many cats is “tooth resorption,” previously known as “neck lesions.” In cats, affected teeth will erode and finally disappear when they are absorbed back into the cat’s body. The root structure breaks down, the enamel and most of the tooth becomes ruined, and bone replaces the tooth. This can be quite painful for a cat until the absorption is complete, although many cats will not show obvious signs of pain. At the current time, the cause(s) of tooth resorption in cats is unknown.
This would explain why I can see no sign of infections. And as they say, not life threatening but painful while it's going on. I am keeping a close eye on the situation. As much as my meager budget will allow anyway

He did eat his can food tonight without coaxing which I'll take as a good sign.
It's been mostly a lazy day snuggling with the kids and stereo purring with touch of Theresa'a "competitive spirit" when she'd see Tang close to me

Both are well and enjoying some balcony time as I write this. Back to the salt mines tomorrow. This weekend went by way to fast (sigh)

Hi, Tracy, sunny gusty windy 60-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad you were able to find some information on the internet regarding your precious Tang's dental situation. I sure hope he doesn't lose all of his teeth. Please let us know how things go for him.
My friend, I can soooooooooo relate to your lament when you share with us "This weekend went by way to fast (sigh)". Indeed, the weekends are NEVER long enough after slaving at a job 5 days of the 7 day week. Still, it is a good thing you now have two consecutive days with your precious fur tribe - - which is better than the schedule you had.
The plumber was here around 8:30 this morning and left about 45 minutes later. He did try to locate the turn off valve to the fridge water line but was unsuccessful - - as it could be tucked under an air vent out of sight. But he was not deterred. All he had to do was to unhook the existing water line from the old fridge, install an adapter that would connect to the water line on the new fridge. And - - he didn't have to turn the water off at the main water valve - - he just let the water drain from the fridge water line into a bucket. When I told him what I was told by the people who delivered the fridge on Saturday he said he could perfectly understand my being upset and aggravated. He told me that he could install a new water line with a new turn off valve that would be more accessible - - but the turn off valve would still be downstairs as opposed to upstairs at the fridge - - and of course this would be hundreds of dollars more expensive than the $84 I paid for connecting the water line with the adapter. A crew will be here on Thursday, 4/7, to finish the installation and remove the old fridge. So progress - - positive progress.
My precious Noah is doing well. His snuggle time under blankets this morning was "disturbed" by the activity of the plumber, etc., but he's doing okay anyway. He is settled comfortably next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny, breezy and mild greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear the plumber was able to make the repairs even if it wasn't quite in the way expected. I hope your fridge installation goes as well.
I certainly hope Tang doesn't lose all his teeth either

(now I have something new to worry about) I put a call in for Dr. Mills who won't be in until Wednesday. It's about switching him from Humulin N to Wal-Mart's own version of it (they produce it in conjunction with a contract with Lily, the makers of Humulin N) It's considerably less expensive, and Tom showed no ill effects on it while the Wal-Mart by me was still open. I will ask about getting him on the dental plan at that time.
Work was, well, work. 'Nuff said. The bus home was right on time which was nice. Both Theresa and Tang met me at the door, and Tang ate most of his can food without coaxing then attacked the dry food. Always encouraging. It's a little breezy outside, so they demurred from balcony time. Both are doing well tonight. Rain and a bit of a cold snap coming our way the next few days to week's end.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 40-ish gusty breezy Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I know Dr. Mills will be able to guide you about switching little Tang's insulin, and hope you will be able to get him on the dental plan. Please let us know how things when you're able to speak with Dr. Mills.
Thank you for your encouragement about the fridge "saga." The plumber yesterday was very efficient and knew exactly what he was doing - - added to the blessing that it was a "simple fix." I will be glad when the rest of the installation is done and the old fridge is taken away. I have a request in for transportation assistance for next Monday or Tuesday for grocery shopping.
Not much on the agenda for today. Yesterday afternoon I was able to drive the car to the end of the driveway, walk with my walker to the mailbox at the street to get the mail delivered since last Thursday, and then back the car into the garage. My right leg was a bit on the lame side last night from this exercise, but was resolved with the assistance of a heating pad. I know I need to get more stamina in my leg before I do any long distance driving - - like from here to Bedford - - but yesterday did give me hope that progress is being made.
My precious Noah is doing well, which is always a blessing to share with you. He is settled comfortably next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you. The region is under a freeze warning tonight as another cold spell comes into the area for several days. The wind has been gusting here with some areas having the aggravation of power outages to deal with, but so far the homestead has been spared for which I am very thankful, even though I do have an emergency generator for such occasions.

Sunny and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear you are making progress in both your "fridge saga" and your healing and wellness moving toward your goal of being able to drive and be independent again. Baby steps my friend. Let me know how things progress on both fronts.
Thank you for your encouragement with Tang. I was thinking that he's doing much better at this stage than Tom was (which makes me both happy and sad at the same time) If I get the green light on the insulin, I will take the going home bus Friday to the Wal-Mart and try to catch it on it's way back around. If not, there's another one 1/2 hour behind it.
More hypocritical grief from a different lead today. Watch my tone indeed. I wasn't even talking to a merchant, but another clueless tier 1 agent. This while everybody else around me regularly raise their voices to actual merchants. I think my rep from the old processor is catching up with me and everybody is sounding the "He's after our jobs" alerts. If they took 2 minutes to get to know me, they'd know nothing could be further from the truth these days
The bus home was 3 minutes early picking me up and about that much late dropping me off. Some traffic. Theresa and Tang were there to greet me coming in the door which is always nice. Tang ate his can food (some anyway) with some coaxing. But Theresa didn't finish hers either; getting close to opening a new can anyway.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 40-ish calmer winds Wednesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
As you know so well by now in your years of employment there are some people who are not satisfied unless they are "stirring the pot of job insecurity" - - either from misinterpreting what they hear or trying to appear to be "important" - - be it from management or a co-worker. Just keep doing the great job you're doing, my friend.
I hope you hear from Dr. Mills today about changing Tang's insulin and adding dental coverage to his policy. Please let us know how things go.
Today is a milestone day for me - - I applied for Medicare coverage this morning. If all goes well with the application process (as I did it online) and I get a confirmation in the next couple of weeks then I can begin to apply for my supplement plans and everything ready to go when Medicare coverage begins. I am soooo looking forward to canceling my current health insurance coverage.
My precious Noah is doing well. He kept me company while I was working at the big desk top. With the cooler temps at night over the last several nights I finally turned on the new heater this morning to take the chill out of the air a bit. Saturday is supposed to be on the crisp side with temps only in the 40's for highs and down into the 20's overnight. So I may need to run the heater for a few days until temps warm up again the first part of next week. Noah is still enjoying the "artificial sunbeams" of his personal heater.
It is getting time for me to get some lunch in my precious Noah's bowl so will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and windy (with rain on the way) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope you are approved for Medicare as I know all the trouble you have had with your current insurance.
I talked with Dr. Mills a couple times today. It's a green light on the Wal-Mart insulin. In fact he said he recommends it to patients struggling financially or not. We talked about Tang's teeth. He said right now dental may not be feasible. One treatment is steroids which he can't have because of the diabetes, oral surgery (worst case scenario and very expensive) And of course the cleanings. The last 2 being problematic because of having to be put under. He still remembers the disaster with Tom (even though it wasn't his doing) and doesn't want to go down that road any more than I do. I knew I was taking a risk with the ear surgery, and don't want to press our luck

For now I'm going to keep a close eye on the situation and bring him in if I see any sign of infection (I don't) or anything else wonky. He's eating his can food with coaxing, his dry food with more gusto than I've seen in a while, and still attacking the treats. Since I have to be that way Saturday, I may swing by and inquire about the cleaning wipes I used on Tom.
Work was a nightmare stemming back to an issue yesterday that didn't have a "fix" until late in the day. Seems all Ingenico terminals not running the latest chip card app started getting format errors on most cards. The solution was to build new files and download them. You'd think T1 could take care of this, but while they were initially hired for EMV downloads, they can't build files. That combined with the usual garbage had us back to back calls all day

Dumping cold transfers in our queue with an average 20 minute wait time (sigh) I was never so glad to see 4:30.
The bus was early on the first pass again, but this time he ended up late because he pit stopped in a convenience store

Oh well, I wasn't but a few minutes late getting in the door.
Theresa and Tang greeted me at the door

Both are leery about going on the balcony with the winds and black skies. At least I made it home ahead of the storm.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny sometimes cloudy gusty windy 50-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad you were able to get home ahead of the storm, my friend. What a difference an hour makes in the work schedule. I'm sorry yesterday was hectic for you and hope all the technical glitches have been resolved so that today is going smoother. Please let us know how things go.
So glad you were able to talk to Dr. Mills and am glad he supports the change in insulin. This will be easier on you financially while providing Tang the quality insulin he needs. The dental wipes sound like a great idea, and I'm so glad Dr. Mills agrees on being cautious with dental cleaning procedures which require anesthesia. Your precious Tang has the best Forever Dad taking care of him - - and his princess sister Theresa.
Worked a bit on financials today and need to start working on my grocery list for next week's trip. Still haven't heard from the volunteer who will be taking me. If I don't hear anything from him by this evening I will call the Neighbor's volunteer coordinator again tomorrow and ask her to please have him call me to let me which day he will be coming to assist me.
My precious Noah is doing well. He is eagerly looking forward to lunch in his bowl, so will get this off to you. Once again, my friend, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and as always hope that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy, windy and a bit chilly greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope you hear from your Neighbor's volunteer coordinator soon. I know how frustrating it is to be dependent on outside sources for simple transportation.
Work today was even worse than yesterday. On top of dealing with the tail end of the other issue, the auth/settle network for all Vantiv merchants dropped for about a little while. That flooded the queue with more calls than I have EVER seen

Fortunately it didn't stay down too long and the IVR message helped get us out at about 1:30.
BTW, getting off at 4:30 had nothing to do with me beating the storm. I still have to wait until 5:30 for the first bus home. That being said though, I think I will walk to Wal-Mart tomorrow for Tang's insulin as it's less than a mile away. Then I can still get the bus on the first pass technically. The bus tonight followed the same pattern as the rest of the week. So I can't really complain.
Theresa and Tang were waiting for me when I got home. Had some sprinkles to deal with though. Glad it wasn't worse as the wind would have made my umbrella useless. Both are doing well which I'm always happy to report.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny calmer winds 50-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Things have really been hectic for you at work this week so I imagine you're already counting the hours and minutes until 4:30 today. Hope today is on the calmer side for you.
Since I had not heard from the volunteer by 11 this morning I called the volunteer coordinator again since the office closes at 2 p.m. for the weekend. She gave me the volunteer's telephone number so that I could call him directly - - since he has been non-responsive to her e-mails in contacting me. I have spoken with him and have confirmed Monday, 4/11, at 10 a.m. for him to be here to help me with my gocery errand. Now I can finish my grocery list and print it out. This particular volunteer is not my first choice to help me but my preferred assistants are out of town until the end of April.
The second crew to finalize the installation of the new fridge upstairs was here yesterday shortly after 5 p.m., and supposedly everything is working properly. They tested the water line to make sure the water dispenser worked and it does without any problems. And they removed the old fridge as well per the contract. So now things "should be" okay.
My precious Noah is doing well. He is settled comfortably next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you. Not much on the agenda for today - - which is nice not to have anything "major" to take care of for a couple of days.
Hope your trek to Wal Mart for your precious Tang's insulin goes well. As always, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy, windy and cool with occasional sprinkles TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both well. Glad to hear you finally were able to set up a ride for next week, although I'm sorry it's not your preferred assistants. Hope it goes well in any case.
Work was about the same as the rest of the week only with it tapering off a bit earlier (about 11:30ish) I heard today that we were going to hire 10 more people for our call center, then management changed its mind and decided to hire 30 more tier 1 in the Phillipines instead

Which just proves they aren't making squat. 30 more poorly trained people to dump calls on us (sigh)
My walk to Walmart took just over 20 minutes and I avoided the sprinkles for the most part. Since I made such good time, I got a few other odds and ends I would have gotten at Dollar Tree in addition to Tang's insulin to save time.
The bus home was a few minutes early and stayed that way. I guess having a different driver on Friday is the norm. I won't complain under tonight's circumstances if it gets me home sooner.
I had to dodge some sprinkles on the walk home though. Good thing too because it was REALLY windy

Theresa and Tang both met me at the door and are settling in anticipating our 2nd Caturday together. Although I have a lot of running tomorrow and probably will get home about 2 hours later than normal.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, gusty windy cloudy sometimes sunny cold 30-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get your errands done yesterday on the way home with only a few sprinkles to deal with. A couple of nights ago we had a storm come through the area and over the homestead that brought pea-size hail with it. Some areas this weekend may get some snow but thankfully the homestead here is not in that forecast area. The region is under a killing frost warning including the homestead area. The trees have already started to bud, and hope this event will not be too bad for them. With the colder frigid overnight temps this weekend I have turned the furnace on to the upstairs heat pump, but will be able to turn it off next week when temps are forecasted to be warmer.
Have been working on a shredding project which I was able to finish this morning. I want to do a load of laundry as well and will get that started soon. My precious Noah is doing well. He was up when I got up this morning around 9 a.m. which is unusual for him. He is enjoying his personal heater as I'm writing to you.
I hope you are able to get your errands / chores done quickly today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are able to enjoy most of this day together, and will have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny but cold Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope the worst of this unseasonabe cold snap passes you up.
I actually had the laundry room to myself, not just at the beginning but during the whole process. That's a a rarity for a Saturday, and the first for me.
I ran into a little snag om my errands though. It seems my insurance won't pay for my Allopurinol RX until tomorrow

And I am not about to make a special trip on my "do nothing" day. So since I have to go out there again next Saturday, I bailed on the haircut as the place was filling up fast and I had a limited window to grocery shop and get the bus home. If I'd missed the 10:30, I would have had to wait an hour. That would be the UPS bus only running every 2 hours on the weekend mucking up the mall bus schedule
The rest of the day has been spent chilling with Theresa and Tang. Tang seems to be doing very well on the Walmart insulin; eating and energy levels normal. Too cold for balcony time today, but Theresa was determined with the sunbeams. So, I opened the door and out she shot. And then shot right back in sporting a dirty look as if I hadn't warned her

Both are well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant (and warm) evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny less windy quite chilly 30-ish degree Sunday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Insurance companies are so fickle about what they will cover, when they will cover benefits, etc.. Not quite clear about your prescription - - are you waiting until this coming weekend to get your prescription? At least you were able to get your precious Tang's insulin and your grocery shopping done. If push comes to shove you can always take a pair of scissors to your hair and trim off the worst until you can get to the barber shop. Please let us know how things go with getting your prescription.
I am so chuckling at your precious Theresa's reaction to the chilly temps - - and rushing back inside looking quite perturbed. Sometimes our furkids need to find things out by themselves - - without them getting into harm's way - - to remind them that their human guardians do know "some things". I'm sure your precious Theresa was quite content after that to stay inside in the warmth of the company of her Forever Dad and little brother.
My precious Noah is still slumbering under blankets as I'm writing to you. Not much on the agenda for today. Tomorrow will be busy with grocery shopping.
I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well.
My hair isn't so bad that I have to hack at it myself. I was just being proactive since I had to be out that way. Next week, I'll probably do the shopping first, then pick up the RX at 9:00 when the pharmacy opens, then get my haircut and (hopefully) get home 1/2 hour sooner.
Today I awoke to my alarm and took care of my brood, then the waifs. I saw a few. Seems they are "setting their clocks" by me. I guess that's a form of trust, even if none come up to me anymore.
The rest of the day has been spent in true "do nothing" Sunday fashion. Relaxing with the kids and recharging my batteries. Tang has stopped eating his can food even with coaxing but by golly will still beg for my breakfast meat. Of course, that's warm and the can food cold. With his issues, he possibly just can't smell it very well. Well, as long as he keeps attacking his kibble/treats we will figure something out. Otherwise, both he and Theresa are quite well.
Not much else going on as I contemplate going back to the mines tomorrow (sigh) I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish gusty windy Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you are still seeing some of the community waifs out and about when you set out provisions for them. Even though they may not come up to you they still know YOU are the one who provides for them.
Sounds like you have a plan set for this coming Caturday's errands. Hope all goes like clockwork. And I'm glad you and your precious fur tribe had a pleasant relaxing day yesterday. I hope your precious Tang resumes eating the canned food. The cold food may not feel good to his gums particularly since he's losing his teeth. I have very sensitive gums to cold foods and need to use a prescription toothpaste specifically for sensitive gums - - otherwise the cold food will feel like a piercing pain in my mouth. I remember from previous posts you were warming his food - - perhaps if it's been awhile you may want to try that again to see if it makes a difference? There is no doubt you are doing the very best for your precious Tang and Theresa.
The Neighbor's volunteer was here on time at 10 a.m. to help me with my grocery errand. I had to encourage him to drop me off at the store door and then park - - he wanted to park the car and bring the scooter cart out to me in the parking lot. Then he didn't realize that I needed his actual assistance with the shopping as most of the things I needed are on the top shelves - - which I cannot reach from the scooter, as the scooter seats are not adjustable in height. But he graciously assisted me throughout the store. Another problem with the scooter is getting things out of the freezers as the doors open outward instead of sliding to the side, so he was very helpful in getting the frozen foods for me, and he brought the many bags of groceries into the house for me. Hopefully the next time I need to do a grocery run my "preferred" volunteer will be back home from their travels.
The new refrigerator seems to doing okay. The ice maker is continuing to make ice cubes and the freezer section seems to be keeping things frozen. So - - I'm truly hoping all the frozen food will truly remain frozen until I need to replenish supplies here in the basement fridge.
My precious Noah was still under blankets when I left but was greeting me at the bottom of the basement steps when I started bringing supplies downstairs with the assistance of my stair chair. The next "outing" will be Thursday morning for the trip to the hospital for the injection in my hip. That will be a very early rise day - - no early morning snuggle with my precious boy. I'm already looking forward to getting home to him from that procedure.
So this is all the news here for today. Grand monsoon greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sorry to hear your temporary helper had a hard time "getting with the program" but glad he was amenable when you asked for what you needed. I hope your regular person is back soon. I hope things go well with your next injection too. How are you holding up, speaking of which? Keeping our paws and tails crossed for your fridge.
Another dreary day with a new issue to deal with. Little Caesars corporate IT decided to make some changes to their network and ended up blocking about 1/2 the stores auth/settle ports

It never rains but it pours.
Speaking of which, it was really coming down waiting for my bus home. So, of course, he was 10 minutes late (15 overall) My pants were plastered to my legs by then. I was pretty much soaked head to toe by the time I walked in the door. I'd like to say at least my feet were dry, but my poor boots could not keep up with this deluge.
Theresa and Tang greeted me at the door, but were a little confused when I had to get out of my wet clothes first. Tang's still not eating his can food. What I meant by "warming" it up was about 1/2 tsp of warm water, but even that's not working anymore. (microwaving was a disaster) I've tried that, other brands, smaller portions. Nothing works. About the only thing I have not tried yet is soft treats. But he already devours the crunchy outside/meaty inside ones. Perhaps the soft ones (if he eats them) in the metal bowl will let him not feel "left out" assuming that works (sigh) Both are otherwise OK.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny gusty windy 60-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
It is very frustrating when our companions are finicky eaters. They can't tell us why they aren't eating, and so we are faced with the task of trying to figure out why with much trial and sometimes much error. I know your precious Tang, and Theresa, are in the best of care with you as their Forever Dad. Please let us know how things are going with your precious Tang.
Sorry your travels home yesterday were very soggy. I hope you don't experience any health challenges from being soaked. Please let us know how you're doing.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement with my challenges. I may write Kroger a letter letting them know how challenging it is using their scooter carts while the store is obviously set up to accommodate "normal" shoppers. It will be interesting to see what type of response I receive. I may also contact the Americans with Disabilities association to have them "investigate" the situation as well.
For the past month I have had a dull ache across my lower back. Last night as I was resting in bed I noticed this is now gone - - and it feels soooo good. I have been doing some internet reading on back pain and sciatic nerve pain, and from what I am reading I am experiencing most of the "classic" symptoms and recovery. So at least I know I'm on the right path. I know my activity levels are now forever changed, but as long as I can take care of my precious Noah's needs, and mine - - I am content.
Speaking of my precious Noah he emerged from underneath the blankets to greet me when I got out of the shower. We enjoyed a nice snuggle this morning after his breakfast. Even though we have sunbeams today the wind is quite gusty. He is enjoying the "artificial sunbeams" in front of his personal heater as I'm writing to you.
Not much on the agenda for today, for which I am thankful. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient - - and dry - - so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool but otherwise beautiful greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear that it seems you are on the road to recovery. Writing to Kroger may or may not help, but your story has inspired me. When I'm in the grocery store and see someone with a disability struggling to get items off the shelf, I will offer to help. Let me know how you are doing in your recovery.
Thanks for the concern over my health in my wet travels yesterday. So far, I feel OK I suppose. Work was a little less hectic, but still busier than the comfortable routine I'd fallen into there for a while. Just under 5 months until I can post out, assuming anything is out there. Pickings are pretty slim right now. At least I have a good schedule now.
The bus home was 10 minutes late again, but at least 1.) I had good weather for it and 2.) He maintained that time so I was only about 6 minutes late walking in the door. My greeters were there as usual
Thank you also for the encouragement with Tang. I tried something new tonight. In Theresa's little metal bowl I put the usual can food, and in Tang's the crunchy/meaty treats. I put her bowl down and then his. He was about to walk away all dejected when I called him and said it's not what you think buddy. He looked in that bowl, and before attacking the contents, looked up as if to say "Thank you dad"

I think the soft food/treats that I can keep at room temperature will work out fine. I'll still offer him the can food when I open new cans though.
I offered balcony time but It was met with mixed enthusiasm; still too chilly for Theresa I guess. Both are doing well though.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish pleasant Wednesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad your travels home yesterday were dry. It sounds like being "late" is the "new on time". I'm glad your precious Tang is eating the treats - - at least he hasn't stopped eating altogether, and this is a very good sign. He, and your precious Theresa, are so very blessed to have your for their Forever Dad.
Checked on the status of my Medicare application and - - I am officially approved. So that is another major concern off my mind and I should be getting my Medicare information in the mail by the end of April / first of May. Then I can begin the process of enrolling in the supplement plans. Have also been working on some financials and printed off my monthly bank statement so that I can work on the project of reconciling the checkbook to the bank statement.
My precious Noah is doing well and is eagerly anticipating lunch in his bowl, so will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. So glad to hear your medicare was approved. I hope you have and equally successful time finding the right supplements.
Work was a little less hectic todayl. The bus home was 10 minutes late and this time he had the nerve to make a trip into Speedway

New "on time" indeed. Last week he was a few minutes early every day. I think he's being erratic on purpose to artificially drive the ridership down so they will cancel the route (he's talked about how much he hates it and wished they would) May be time to have a little chat with the management at TARC . I can't afford to lose this route.
On the upside, Theresa and Tang both met me at the door

Thank you for your kind encouragement regarding Tang's issues. He is also eating his dry food, keeping his weight up, and quite active. I think not only is the new insulin working as well, but perhaps even better. Balcony time has been offered and now both are settling in and doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish pleasant Thursday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Unless management hears from the customers as to what is happening "in the field" with the drivers they really are clueless. So you're doing the right thing in letting them know what the bus driver(s) are doing on the routes you take. I can perfectly understand your concerns about the deliberate manipulation to drive ridership down to cancel routes or cut back services - - I see this all the time in the loal news reports for the public transportation offered in the city. You should not have to worry about how you're going to get to work or home - - or to any other destination you need to get to because of a bus driver's "bad attitude." If he doesn't like his job, then he needs to find another one - - either on his initiative or with a little help from his employer. Please let us know how things go.
The procedure went well this morning. The radiologist and technician were very helpful. They explained the procedure to me - - better than the doctor did. The results of the CT scan showed arthritis settling into my lower spine which the radiologist said would have an affect on the sciatic nerve. So that explains a lot and verifies some of the information I have found during my internet search. So my yard work days are really at an end. No shoveling snow, etc.. It is a bit of a bummer but I do NOT EVER want to have another episode like what I have come through. As long as I can take care of my precious Noah's needs, and mine - - I am content.
Arrived home around 11:15 or so, and my brother wasn't in any hurry to leave, even though he had been up since 5 a.m. after getting home last night around 10:30 p.m. from traveling to Connecticut to visit his daughter and her family. We talked about some of the things that the house needs to have done in terms of minor repairs, and my bathroom door has been on the list for years. It's a pocket door and a few years back it popped off the hinges on the top rail. I have tried to fix it myself several times since then but to no avail. So my brother gets the ladder and after about 45 minutes or so he successfully gets the door back on the hinges. So that project is finished. One down about a dozen more to go. The bathroom door was the most challenging of the projects.
My precious Noah was glad to see me home and he eventually came out of hiding while his "uncle" was still here. He is now a very happy boy that he has my undivided attention - - and is looking forward to lunch appearing in his bowl soon.
As always, my friend, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and pleasantly warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear your procedure went well and was informative. I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to do certain things going forward though. I'm assuming your brother took you as you said he stayed to visit? Let me know how you are doing in your recovery. Glad to hear you were able to get your door fixed too.
Call volume today was down to much closer to of what I'd started getting used to before all these issue started cropping up. Let's hope that trend continues. I was stuck on a call until 4:47 that T1 sent me at the last minute. They darn near destroyed their terminal trying to load an old app with known issues
The bus tonight was only 6 minutes late picking me up (10 dropping me off) Coincidence I'm sure as I only filed the complaint at the TARC website today. But one trend I can hope that continues too.
Theresa and Tang both met me at the door and are enjoying balcony time. Both are well. I got a note on my door about my lease expiring in July. I cringed to open it, but they are only raising it 11.00 (5 base and 6 for water) That's better than the 50.00 it's been the last few times. I wonder if the fact I let slip I was using the digital camera to keep records of the "interesting goings on" around here the last time I was in the office had something to do with it
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish pleasant T G I F greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and ilttle prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Soooooooooo glad to share your news about your rent. I can soooo relate to your trepidation of opening the notice, as I feel the same way when I get my real estate tax notices. I'm very glad your rent increase is minimal this year as I remember how upset you were last year with the $50 increase.
Glad your travels home yesterday evening were not so late with the "new on time", and hope your travels will be at least as timely this evening.
My hip is a little sore from yesterday's procedure but that is to be expected with the injection for a couple of days or so. The soreness is not affecting my mobility - - thank goodness. Have worked on going through the checkbook this morning and marking off the payments processed through the bank, so that part is done. Now all I have to do is go through the figures in the checkbook to see if I can reconcile the balance in the checkbook with the balance on the bank statement. Wednesday I tried scanning my desk top for the latest Microsoft updates but after 2 hours or so and the scan still going I canceled the scan and shut down the big computer. This morning the updates were loaded on the computer and ready to be installed - - go figure - - so that is now done. AND - - the lawn contractor and his crew was here to do the initial clean up and first mowing. They finished the job a little while ago. This contractor seems to want to do the work - - and the yard looks so nice when it's groomed.
My precious Noah is doing well. He has been keeping me faithful company through the projects so far today. We had a nice snuggle cuddle this morning to make up for the lost one yesterday because of my medical appointment.
I know you are already counting the hours and minutes to when you will be on your way home to your precious fur tribe. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and much warmer (79) TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sorry to hear your treatment has left you sore, but glad it hasn't affected your mobility. Let me know how you are coming along. Glad to hear you have a "go getter" lawn contractor that seems to want the work too.
Call volume was a little bit lower still today averaging about 2.5 calls per hour. Remember when that was something out of a fantasy on previous jobs? I am so loving this "normal" schedule.
The bus home was only a few minutes late on the pick up (Fridays are always a different driver apparently) but we got stuck behind a semi going like 2 MPH that ironically had the word "swift" on the back of the trailer as well as other traffic jams.
I just missed the UPS bus home from my Dollar Tree run. I do mean JUST missed. It was 2-3 minutes early at the light, driver looked right at me across the street at the light waving and kept going anyway. But guess what? I looked over at the Speedway and there was a supervisor in a TARC SUV with a clipboard and a "gotcha" look on his face. Being early is no longer a "slap on the wrist" according to one driver, it's at least 1 day's suspension w/o pay. Hope that extra break at McDs was worth it to the driver.
Theresa and Tang both greeted me as I came in which is always nice. I wanted to give them balcony time, but I saw a flying "stingy" out there. Both are well. Oh. This morning on my way down the walk to my bus stop (after I fed) I saw many waifs. Including Bobtail on the stone planter who looked up and gave a "what's up" with his head then gave the biggest yawn I ever saw

Nothing says "We feel safe around you" more than that.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny delightful 60-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad your day was a decent one in the trenches yesterday. Sorry you missed your bus connection, though - - that is frustrating to say the least, but am glad a TARC supervisor saw what was happening, and hopefully appropriate "corrective" action will be taken. Please let me know how things go.
I'm so smiling that you were able to see some of the community waifs on your way to work. Indeed, they know who they can trust, and you are on the top of their list.
My hip is feeling much better. The soreness from the injection has totally resolved. It is so pretty outside today, so I bit the bullet and took a walk in the yard with my walker and my medical emergency call button to the security system just in case. I slowly and carefully walked up the slope in the back yard, came in through the garage and back downstairs in the basement living quarters with the help of my trusty stair chair. Tracy - - it felt sooooooo good to do this. I have been so afriad to go out into the yard, and had begun to feel like a prisoner confined to the inside of the house. I'll know in the next 24 hours or so if I have any spasms to deal with from this activity, but I'm really not anticipating any. I know my yard work days are over with - - but I would at least like to be able to safely walk outside in my yard when I feel up to it without being afraid to do it. Perhaps this time has finally arrived.
I also received my retirement payment information from my previous employer. One of the papers I need to return requires it to be notorized. So I plan on driving to the bank one day this coming week to take care of that myself. I need to begin to be able to see what I can safely do, and this will be a good "maiden trip" for me to give it a try. I know I will need help with my groceries for quite awhile yet - - but hopefully I can take care of my more "simpler" errands myself again. I'll let you know how things go.
My precious Noah is doing well. He is eagerly anticipating lunch in his bowl as I'm writing to you, so will get this off to you. I hope you have been able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy most of this day together, and will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and warm Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better today. I can imagine how good it felt to be "out and about" on your own today. Even if it was just a stroll through the yard. Do you feel confidant enough to drive to the bank by yourself, or will someone be coming with you? Our paw prayers and hopes are with you.
I got to see some waifs this morning more up close. First Tux while putting the food out after starting laundry. And Bobtail while I was waiting on my clothes I hang to dry "fluff up" in the dryer. I sat on the planter and talked to Tux and on the cement base of the pool fence for Bobtail. The latter has become a bit of a "protector" of the others since his TNR. Nice to know Tux has help now.
My errand schedule was about like last week. It was awkward enough to get my cart folded up into the Great Clips small lobby; thought it would not do with it full of (some perishable) provisions. So, I got home a little after 11:00. Next week I should have no reason to go out all that way, but if I do I'm off Friday for floating holiday. It goes back to when I put in for Saturdays of Thunder and Derby off because the traffic probably making buses late and got them before my schedule change. My Friday before Derby was denied though
Theresa and Tang are well and enjoyed some balcony time this morning before it got too warm. But with AC coming on sporadically at 77, it's too warm now. The rest of the day has been spent "chilling" with the babies with occasional cuddles and "stereo" purring
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 60-ish pleasant Sunday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
I'm glad you were able to get your chores and errands done yesterday so that you and your precious fur tribe could enjoy most of the day together. And I'm so glad you were able to spend some "quality time" with Tux and Bobtail - - if it was only at a distance. The community waifs know you care for them, and they are forever thankful for your loving provision and protection.
I can truly empathize with you about traveling during "popular events" when people are descending upon your town oblivious to the fact that there are people who actually live there and need to get to work regardless of the festivities. I hope your travels will not be too challenging on the Friday before Derby Day. Please let us know how your travels go.
Last night the internet decided to quit working in the middle of SG-1 on Amazon. The internet service has been playing "upsy downsy" here for the past several days. This morning when I first turned on the big desk top there was no internet connection. So I shut down the computer, unplugged the cable and wireless boxes, turned off the surge protector, then plugged things back in, turned things back on - - and I have an internet connection again. It seems since the service provider raised the monthly rates - - and by quite a bit - - the internet service has been less reliable.
For my trip to the bank this week I am planning on driving myself. It's a short trip and I feel I can safely do this. When it is grocery time again, though, I will need help with transportation - - and hopefully from my "preferred" volunteers this time.
My precious Noah is still snuggled under blankets as I'm writing to you. The birds have been singing cheerily this morning enjoying the warmer sunbeams.
Nothing significant here on the agenda for today. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, along with the community waifs, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

I woke up this morning to my alarm. Provisioned the waifs, then my own troop. I didn't see any waifs this morning, but I know they are out there. I allowed for balcony time this morning while it was still cool enough (in the mid 50s) but only Tang went out there briefly.
The rest of the day of this all to short weekend has been spent relaxing, channel surfing (nothing on) and cuddling with Theresa and Tang. Both are well. Tang made me

earlier when he went to town on Theresa's little pink mouse. Usually only she plays with any of those. Not much else going on here.

Hi Tracy,
Thought I would stop by to say hello. I hope you. Princess Theresa, and Lt. Tang are doing well. We are about the same here.
Same little waifs still come by, not all at once since the weather is warmer. They probably roam around more and also catch mice.
Socks was funny one morning while I was dishing out the canned food. I always tell him to come on and show him a plate. One morning he stayed under the car and a minute or two later I saw him going across the street, as if he were feeling sorry for himself.

But this morning he came up to me and ate.
One evening this week I had a good laugh about Fluffly. When he sees me sitting out back on the patio, he thinks I am somebody else. I saw him staring at me through the gate and about that time there was a real loud noise in the neighborhood. He took off like the "road runner" down the side fence, looked back at me as if to say, "are you crazy?"

The next morning he was on the carport waiting for breakfast.
Well, that's all the cat tales for now. I hope you have a cozy evening with your sweet little furbabies and also a good work week. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. I still see the little white butterfly every once in awhile....TTFN

Hi LMM.
I am so

Socks and Fluffy's antics. Thank you for sharing. How are are Stryker and Blackie? I'm glad to hear they all still come around for your kind and generous hospitality. I'm sure Angel Mickey watches over them in their "walk abouts" as well as sending the white butterflies. I saw few on my way home from the bus stop Friday evening.
Lady Theresa and Lt. Tang are both doing well. Tang is dealing with the loss of of his other lower canine better than I would have expected; eating well and keeping his weight up. The only "casualty" seems to be cold can food, but Theresa still eats it.
I hope all is well with you, hubby and the waifs and that you all have a blessed and wonderful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny 70-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you and your precious companions had a relaxing pleasant day yesterday. I know so well what you mean about the "all to short weekend." Still you have a long weekend to look forward to coming up, and hopefully you'll have two of those days that you can spend with your precious fur tribe without any errands or chores to do.
Had to do the "unplug and reboot" routine again this morning with my internet connection. It worked okay yesterday so that I could view the SG-1 episode I tried to watch Saturday evening as well as the next SG Atlantis episode. As long as "rebooting" works that is okay with me. Not interested in having to pay another "service call" bill right now.
Applied for the Part D Prescription plan for the Medicare supplement coverage this morning, so that is taken care of. Just need to apply for the medical supplement plan now which I will do this week.
My precious Noah has emerged from the blankets and is keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. Need to make a trek to the mailbox to put a letter out for pickup when the postal carrier comes by, so will get this off to you. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and very warm (topped out at 87) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm sorry to hear your internet is still flaky and you are having to reboot/power cycle so much. They charge you a service fee when THEIR product isn't working? Who do you have a for an ISP? I hope it improves soon. I hope your medicare RX plan goes through smoothly too.
Call volumes maintaining "normal" levels again today (about 3 calls per hour) Got an email last Friday that I (and others) have been "selected" for the new QA manager to Y jack in tomorrow to "get a feel" for how we handle our calls. It went on to say she won't get to all of us. Guess which group I hope I'm in? I hope the anger management freaks across from me are in rare form so I can say "Hey why don't you go Y jack them and tell them to watch their tone?"
Bus home was about 5 minutes late overall - so, better? I guess so. Theresa and Tang met me at the door which is always good

Both are doing well and settling in now that I'm home.

Hi, Tracy, sunny 70-ish pleasant Tuesday greetings to you and your precious princess Theresa and little prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.
Like you we had 80-ish temps yesterday as well - - the warm sunbeams felt good to both me and my precious Noah, and I know your precious Theresa also thoroughly enjoys the warmer sunbeams too.
I can understand your preference to be in the group that the supervisor doesn't monitor. Still I feel confident that the manager will only find positive things about the way you interface with the customers in case you are monitored. Please let us know how things go.
There is only one cable broadband internet provider in this area - - Shentel. There are other providers with the local telephone company and satellite links - - neither of which I want because of the service as well as the fact they cost more than what I'm paying with the increased cost with Shentel. That is the way it is here - - there is no "competition" for services here - - such as with Cox, Infinity, etc.. Because Franklin County is a rural area no "big" service provider wants to invest in providing services. Bedford County where my brother lives is even worse - - there are some areas there that don't have ANY internet service - - at all. The reality is when it comes to "high technology" NOTHING is "perfect" - - when it works things are GREAT, but when they don't work it sure can cause a LOT of frustration. This morning I didn't have to do any "reboots."
I made my run to the bank this morning - - driving myself - - and it felt soooo good to be able to do this. I still need to assist my right leg into the car but I am getting the strength back in my leg and hip to be able to control moving my right leg from the accelerator to the brake and being able to apply pressure to the brake to stop the car. I am very pleased with the progress in this regard. The next 24 hours will tell if I will have any spasms to deal with from this activity but I am not anticipating any. I will let you know how things go.
Tomorrow I'm planning on calling Anthem to put my application in for my Medicare medical supplement plan. I would think they could just transfer my information over from my current Anthem ACA coverage - - but apparently not. I'll let you know how that goes.
My precious Noah is doing well. He was up "early" today when I was finishing getting dressed to go to the bank. As I'm writing to you he is settled in front of the big door windows enjoying the warm sunbeams.
I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a peaceful, blissful, cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions.
