Am wondering how your Easter "meet the family" dinner went. Hope it was enjoyable.

I wasn't online at all yesterday as I had an MD appointment with my regular MD. It took much longer as he had an emergency patient, but I was eventually seen. My brother has the patience of Job - - he wasn't upset at all. My MD changed my medication from neurontin to lyrica and am following his instructions to withdraw from the neurontin and begin the lyrica alone. It was late by the time he got me home, and then he had to make a special trip to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions because the pharmacy was backlogged with prescription fills. So it was late by the time he got on the road back home as well.

Had a bill I needed to pay online this morning so got that done with my precious Noah keeping me company at the big desk top computer. Went through the mail my brother retrieved for me from the mailbox yesterday, so all that is taken care of. My precious boy has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages of cooking so will get this off to you.

Just two more days to go in your current job - - as I know you are checking off the days and hours. Thank you for asking about Easter. It turned out to just be her parents as none of her siblings were there. Perhaps next time. It was a lovely dinner and her parents are delightful people. I always said never again on relationships, but this time is different. I have never been happier in my life

The waif attendance is kind of a roller coaster lately, but I still see them and the food is getting eaten. My lady friend even accompanied me a on one provisioning which was nice.

Tang was in good spirits this morning. Snuggle time has been bit complicated but suffice it to say he is getting plenty of attention. More on how he’s doing when I get home.

You are correct about my countdown. After today there is just Thursday and part of Friday (we have to be out by 3:00) and it can’t come soon enough. Thank goodness I have help coping. I am now counting down my time to the end if this day. Then I can think about getting home to my special boy.

Yep, it's finally over at the old "pit" They let us go at about 12:30 though. They told us not to even punch in and they would put 8 hours for the day.

I thought I would stop by to say hello. I hope you and little Tang are doing well. We are ok.

Socks still comes by to eat. He has been in fights, his face was all tore up. He is healing up pretty well now. He stayed away for a few days and I thought we had lost him. I very seldom see bobtail, but I saw him today walking by.

We really have had a lot of mice. I catch one or two every night in the live trap. They come up under the basement door at the end of the hallway and head right to the trap. Of all the years we've been here this is the first year I've seen mice.

We ran some errands today and had a nice lunch at Golden Corral. My lady bought one of those X shaped scratching pads for Tang and some catnip at Walmart which I thought was sweet

We just got in a little while ago. Tang has had his supper and a long overdue brushing. He is currently enjoying some balcony time as I post this. I gave him another dose of flea prevention this morning, so he should be good to go. He is well.

After they left I finally finished all the new patient paperwork for my appointment tomorrow with the neurosurgeon and have that in a folder ready to give to the receptionist. Glad you and your new friend had a good time at the arcade on Friday, and hope yesterday was a good day for you, your precious Tang, and your new friend.

Yesterday was my appointment with the neurologist. He reviewed the MRI and told me the only abnormality he could see was obvious arthritis in my neck. He could not see any abnormalities with the disks or vertebrae. He looked at my hands and told me I definitely need to see a rheumatologist. He told me there was nothing he could do for me but is referring me to a neurologist for evaluation and potential further testing just to rule out anything the MRI could not provide in terms of nerve involvement. He gave me a 6 day pack prescription for methylprednasolone to try to relieve some of the obvious inflammation from the arthritis. So I am off both the lyrica and neurontin at this time. I began the steroid tablets today so we'll see what happens over the course of the week. This is only short-term treatment so only the Good Lord knows what will happen pain wise come after Friday when I take the last dose, providing there is any pain relief to begin with.

Yesterday was a very long day. My brother didn't get me home until after 3 p.m. picking up the prescription, and by that time my precious Noah was becoming very anxious. I am very exhausted still from yesterday's events, so my precious Noah and I are having as many snuggles as we can today.

Today was a bit of a lazy day. We went to get the oil changed in her car and chilled at Starbucks while that was going on. We also dropped in on her parents again for a visit which was nice. Her twin sister is coming into town next week for Derby so I guess I will get to meet additional family members.

Tang has been doing well today. I let him have some balcony time this morning when it was cooler. I have just given him an early supper and will get his insulin before too long.

Then we went to the post office to mail out our separation packages and had a nice lunch.

Unfortunately I managed to disturb my precious Noah this morning when I got up for the day. He kept me company while I went through my routines of getting ready for the day. He is comfortably stretched out on his bathroom window perch taking a nap as I'm writing to you. Have needed to work on financials this morning on the big computer and after I get this posted to you I'll be able to start the security scan before shutting down. Because of the intense pain I have been in I am so far behind in my financial recordkeeping and filing my desk is a disaster zone. It has taken every bit of concentration I can muster just to make sure I have the bills properly paid. I hope to be able to begin wading through all the various piles of "stuff" to try to bring some form of order to the chaos.

This morning while provisioning I just saw Little Gray and Tux Sr at the 3rd post. I'm keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers.

Most of the notifications for jobs today for us have been either spam or something that's not right. We both got our UE letters today. I only qualify for 341.00 per week while she will be getting the maximum 415.00; I guess I should have filled out those forms for merchants to upgrade their equipment instead of sending them to sales. Oh well.

Tang is doing well and has had his supper and shot. No balcony time due to the rain though. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have very peaceful evening. TTFN

Sorry your unemployment compensation will be short of what you had hoped for. Hope it doesn't put you in a financial bind until you find another job.

Thank you for your continued thoughts and encouragement regarding my health challenges. I wish I could answer your question about pain relief but apparently, at least so far, nothing seems to provide adequate relief. The prednisone has offered some relief from the intense swelling and inflammation, but I have finished the medication now and the benefits will only last in my system for a couple of weeks. My regular MD prescribed a higher dose of lyrica which I will resume taking tomorrow evening, and hopefully that will offer some measure of relief.

Yesterday evening right on through this morning we had several gully washer deluges come through the area and over the homestead here. Now with the sunbeams shining bright and cheery you'd never know it had rained. Temps will be cooling off quite a bit for the weekend and next week. Hard to believe that last Saturday had to turn on the A C to the upstairs main unit and now need to flick the switch back to the furnace.

My precious Noah and I had a very nice snuggle cuddle this morning. Thankfully I managed to get my morning routines taken care of without disturbing him. He roused for the day around 11:30 a.m. to greet me and is now settled comfortably next to me as I'm writing to you. This coming Wednesday, 5/10, his doctor and one of the vet techs will be here to give him his spring check up. This is very helpful since I can't drive to get him into the office.

We had a bit of a misunderstanding last night Longest 8 hours of my life (being separated I mean) But it seems to be resolved for now. We both have some insecurities we need to work on, but I feel we will be OK in the long run.

As a result of last night's issues, I fed the waifs around midnight rather than this morning, so I didn't get to see any of them.

Tang is well and in good spirits though. We are getting ready to go to her apartment so she can get some things to bring back over here. By then is should be time for Tang's supper.

So glad to share your news that you and Anne are working through "differences". Being able to accept each other for who you are is an ongoing part of building a strong relationship that can withstand life's more difficult challenges. The insecurities just don't "disappear" even in the best of relationships but hopefully as the relationship strengthens the insecurities have less "control". My precious Noah had his check up a little while ago. Dr. Bolen took some blood to test his kidneys and thyroid just to make sure everything is functioning properly. She will call me with the results of these tests in a couple of days. His blood glucose test was 97 which Dr. Bolen is very pleased with. He was a very good enduring through all the indignities, and is now settled comfortably next to me keeping me company as I'm writing to you. Soon it will be time to get him some lunch in his bowl.

This morning I had to do things kind of backwards as someone with a dog came out of the first floor of my building as I came around from the front from tossing the garbage. I saw Little Gray as I approached the 3rd spot, but Tux Sr came running over looking intent on bullying her for the food unfortunately. But I coaxed her into following me down to the 2nd spot to eat. Nobody was at the 1st spot though.

Today we went to the Louisville Nature Trail, but as it had been raining the trail was muddy. We then went downtown to the 21C hotel and looked at the art exhibits as well as just walked around the waterfront by the river.

Thanks for the kind words about our relationship. It's appreciated and we are doing well. Unfortunately I didn't see any of the waifs this morning. I will continue to put the food out and hope for the best. Anne paid for the last 2 (including today) big bags of food for them which I found totally sweet.

Today we went to small flea market downtown which was nice. There were interesting arts and crafts as well as a few animal rescue groups present.

We swung by her apartment so she could restock her supplies and are now at my apartment getting ready to settle in for the evening. Tang has had his supper and is also settling in. He is doing well.

Today we went to the Speed Art Museum at U of L since they have free admission on Sundays
