Hello moon_beam. Sunny, cool but pleasant Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear you could both spend some quality time together this morning.
I saw none of the waifs at the closer area to me this morning. In fact, the food still seems untouched

But I did see White Cat while provisioning, Bobtail while waiting on the first cycle of my clothes drying, a tuxedo cat around front (not the Tux boys) coming back from laundry and Little Gray just a while ago checking mail. A part of me wishes I had taken in Tux Jr that time he followed me up the stair. But not knowing if he has anything (like FIV) or if he and Tang would have gotten along stopped me.
I had the laundry room to myself, but the downside is 2 of the machines wouldn't read my card. But nobody knows better than me how fussy chip cards and readers can be.
Having to go the library forced me out Kroger way this morning. I hated going to pick up just one book, but it's the first book of the latest Star Trek trilogy celebrating the 50th anniversary. I was first on the hold list and who knows how long I would have had to wait for it again. I went a little over budget (as usual) but not unmanageably so. I got home at about 10 to 11:00.
I had a light lunch sharing a few bites with Tang. The rest of the day has been spent reading, watching TV and napping/cuddling with my little man

He's just finished up with his supper and balcony time and is curled up at my feet.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny breezy windy 60-ish Sunday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Am glad you eventually saw some of the community waifs during your travels / chores yesterday. I can so understand how you're feeling about not taking in Tux Jr, but you did the right thing putting your precious Tang's health concerns first. Rescuing a community waif is very noble, but must be done to protect both the health of the person, any other precious companions already in the home, as well as the health of the homeless spirit. If you do ever decide to rescue one of the homeless waifs, it is highly advised by both the veterinary community as well as many recognized rescue organizations such as the Humane Society that you keep the homeless waif in isolation away from your precious Tang until you are able to get him / her to a veterinary check up. Once the waif has received a good bill of health and has received the necessary vaccinations, then you can introduce him / her to your precious Tang and begin to integrate him / her into the family unit. I know you probably already know all of this, - - not trying to be a "bossy boots" - - just trying to offer you support and encouragement in whatever you decide.
Am also very glad you were able to get your chores / errands done quickly yesterday so that you and your precious Tang could enjoy most of the day together, and can have a very leisurely day with one another today.
My precious Noah and I had a very nice sleep in this morning. While he continued to slumber under blankets I went through yet another box of "stuff" and am glad I did as I have yet another trash bag of "stuff" to go to the community shred-a-thon tomorrow. So this brings the grand total of trash bags to 35. Now all I need to do is organize the "stuff" I need to keep and store it away.
My precious Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready, so will get this off to you.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Tang. Please know you and your precious boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious prince Tang are doing, along with the community waifs, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas and princess Theresa.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope this finds you both doing well.
I thank you for you words of caution. But I already know the pitfalls and precautions of trying to adopt a kitty from an outside colony. I've done much research on it. I was just putting some thoughts out there based on my sadness at their plight and a touch guilt in not being able to do more for them. If I were financially able to retire (which at this rate I probably won't even be able to at 65) perhaps I could. I would never put Tang in any danger.
Speaking of the waifs, I only saw Siamese this morning. But I will keep putting out the food at both areas and providing kind words for those interested in hearing them. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers as always. I'm glad at least you didn't mention the ASPCA. After their overpaid (and obviously overfed) director ordered the murder of that pit bull in cold blood because he didn't like being second guessed, I will never give them another penny again.
Tang has been in good spirits today with balcony time abounding with all this delightful sunny but fairly cool weather. I cannot help thinking of Theresa during these times and being a little sad; how she would have loved a day like today
Not much else happening today. Just preparing to get settled in for the evening. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny breezy 70-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad your precious Tang had enjoyable balcony time yesterday - - omitting any "amazing Tang" feats of daring do. I know so well how bittersweet the nice weather days are remembering how your beloved princess Theresa enjoyed basking in the sunbeams. I hope somehow you know that her sweet Living Spirit is still there with you enjoying the sunbeams as she always has during her physical earthly journey, but I do so understand that it's not the same thing - - for I can so empathize with your sadness in not being able to SEE her.
Today is the community shred-a-thon event being held in Rocky Mount. I was on the road by 9 a.m., in Rocky Mount by 9:30. First stop was to the treasurer's office to pay my taxes, which when leaving there put me on the right side of the road so that I wouldn't have to cross traffic to get to the parking lot where the shredding trucks were. The gentleman working one of the trucks unloaded 35 tall kitchen 13 gallon trash bags from my car - - which represents 47 years of my life. Even early this morning I was still sorting through "stuff" to contribute to the shred-a-thon. It seemed that when I thought I was "done" I would think of another place where I had squirreled away financial records / receipts. The paper is shredded into dust and then recycled - - so in some form and fashion my 47 years will have a "new life." Now I just need to do some fine tuning organizing of the documents I have needed to keep, and then this project will be done for a couple of years or so.
I know my precious Noah will be thrilled to not see me tossing papers hither and yonder and stuffing trash bags. He has been sooooo patient with me during this entire process - - 6 months effort of sorting and purging and stuffing right up through and including early this morning. Speaking of my precious boy he is doing well, which is always a blessing of good news to share with you. He is sitting on the computer table watching intently as I'm writing to you.
Here it is Monday - - I still remember so well from my years of employment how fast they come around from having the weekend home. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious boy. Please know you and your precious prince Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious boy are doing, along with the community waifs, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas and princess Theresa.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sounds like you had quite a time with errands today. 47 years of papers, my goodness! That’s a long time. I just wish I could have the last 27 years of my life back (inside joke about moving here in 1989) I'm sure Noah was glad to have you back home when you were done.
No waifs today which made me sad

I’ll keep putting the food out and hoping they are well though. Thank you for your kind words about Theresa. In a few days it will be 6 months, but it feels like 6 years
Tang was in good spirits this morning and even slept at my feet the last few hours of my slumber. Which was a good thing since cuddle time was short for today. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Work has been a roller coaster of back to back calls then some lulls. Coming up on 2 hours until it’s over though. Then I can turn my thoughts toward heading home to Tang.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

PS: Home safe and sound at 6:31

Which is odd considering the old driver is back. Between his mysterious extended absence, being on time and making people pay full fare (not to mention staring daggers at me when I got on) I have a hunch he was suspended for a while. Let's hope he learned from it
Tang met me at the door as usual. He's had his supper and is enjoying some balcony time before we pack it in. No "flying" lately

He is well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly 60-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad your travels home yesterday were expedient. It would be nice if this was a "trend" but whatever happens the important thing is that you get home to your precious Tang safely.
Today has been busy with my computer guru. He is here installing the new HP printer to both my desk top and lap top. It has been a tedious process as it requires using both the CD and downloading drivers from the HP internet. I'm so very glad he is working on this. He has it installed on the desk top, and it is now taking F O R E V E R to install on the lap top. Eventually it will work, I'm sure.
My precious Noah has made himself scarce today but it will be time to get him his lunch soon, so I know he'll come running for that.

Sunny and a bit cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear your guru was there to install your printer, but sorry to hear it spooked poor Noah. I hope he’s doing better now.
I only saw Siamese this morning putting out the food. I did catch a glimpse of Big Tabby heading back out to my bus stop. He was by the food but scampered under the fence as I approached. I’ll keep them in my thoughts and prayers as I continue in my mission to help them.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and was at my feet in the bed when my alarm went off. Cuddle time was a bit sparse, but he took it all in stride as usual good boy that he is

More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Work has been markedly less hectic (knock wood) for which I am always grateful. So I’m just counting down the less than 2 hours to go until the end of my shift, at which point I can turn my thoughts to getting home to Tang.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 6:43

Barely took him a day. I guess my hopes that he'd learned his lesson were for naught. I guess the phone calls to TARC start up again in the morning. Tang greeted me happily at the door though, and that's always nice. A fresh can of food and he had not one but TWO helpings without the milk even

He is having some balcony time before I pack it in and doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly 50-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
At least you saw Siamese and Big Tabby yesterday during your provisioning / travels, so you know at some of them are still in your area. Please continue to let us know how the community waifs are doing.
My computer guru was finally able to get the new printer installed and working on my lap top. He arrived around 11 a.m. and left around 3 p.m.. The lap top installation was being less than cooperative, but it finally installed and now works properly. We did "test runs" of various text and graphics documents as well as plain paper and card stock - - and it works beautifully. So I'm a happy camper. And my precious Noah emerged from his bathroom window perch when he heard me getting his lunch ready yesterday afternoon. He wasn't shy in the least little bit showing off for my computer guru how excited he is when it's time to eat.
Today has been a busy one. My precious Noah and I had a nice sleep in this morning after his breakfast. While he continued to slumber under blankets I was able to make a quick errand to the post office to mail some things and returned home to find him still snuggled under blankets. As I was getting changed into my "chore work" clothes, my precious Noah emerged from the blankets to greet me and start the day. I got the trash out to the trash bin and got the box that the new printer came in stored in the garage. When I got those chores done I was finally able to change into my "stay at home" clothes, which has delighted my precious boy. I'm thankful there are no other errands or major chores to do today.
Sorry your travels home yesterday evening were less than expedient, but the most important thing is that you arrive home safe and sound to your precious prince Tang whatever hour that may be.

Sunny and cool but getting warmer greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m glad to hear Noah was comfortable around the guru even if it was because food was involved

Glad to hear your printer is functioning properly too. I hope you can both spend much quality time together today.
I only saw Siamese this morning as I was heading out to my bus stop. He/she greeted me and began to dig in to the food. At least I know there are still some of the waifs around somewhere. I’m keeping them in my thoughts and prayers.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and was with me in the bed when my alarm went off. I spared him as much cuddle time as I could. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Having to work on my birthday stinks, but it’s partly my own fault in not having any more PTO. I probably could have taken it without pay, but missing last Monday ruled that out. At least it’s not a bad day so far (more or less – knock wood) And I could lunch and break whenever I wanted
Just about 3 hours to go until my shift is over and I can turn my thoughts toward getting home to Tang – whenever that is. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy chilly 50-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like you had a relatively decent day yesterday at work. I know it's a bummer working on your birthday - - had to do the same thing while I was employed. I know getting home to your precious Tang safe and sound was the best birthday "gift" of all.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning after his breakfast, and while he snuggled under blankets I worked on organizing some of the documents I need to keep and getting them ready to put away in storage. Needed to have a bag of salt delivered today for the water conditioner, and while the contractor was here taking care of that my precious Noah continued to slumber under blankets - - didn't even rouse when the doorbell rang - - which was a good thing. After the contractor left and I resumed working on the organizing project he joined me at the desk to begin his day. He is now settled comfortably next to me keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you.

Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well and spending much deserved quality time together.
No waifs this morning

But some of the food had been eaten at the 2nd area by the time I was making my way out to my bus stop. I just hope it wasn't the possum

I'll keep at it though, hoping and praying they are doing well.
Tang was in good spirits this morning and we had about 45 minutes of snuggle/nap time before I set out for work. More on how he's doing when I get home.
I wish I could tell you how the call volume at work has been, but it's hard to say since I was on a call for nearly 3 hours

and only just went to lunch 10 minutes ago - and will then go on my 2nd break immediately following that. But when I get back we will probably be slammed with my luck.
A little less than 1.5 hours to go until the day is over though and I can think about heading home to Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, pleasant breezy 70-ish Sunday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad to get caught up on your news from last Thursday, 10/27. Sounds like you had a very busy day at work Thursday with the call volume. I'm glad you have this weekend to rest with your precious Tang.
I'm also glad to see the Forums back up and running. Noticed a post by our benefactor that he is out of the country until Monday, 10/31, noting that if anything happened with the website he would not be able to take care of it until his return. So I sincerely appreciate the efforts of those who worked diligently to get the Forums back up and working.
My precious Noah and I had a nice sleep in this morning after his breakfast. While he slumbered peacefully under blankets I did a few "tidy up" chores around the computer desk, although there's still a lot more that needs to be done. In the process I found another box of "stuff" to go through from my beloved Oslo's and my volunteer work visiting hospitals and my giving presentations to community groups on the benefits of companion animals and the direct correlation between animal and human abuse. Most of it I need to keep as it includes back up information for taxes that I still need to keep until those records can be permanently shredded. But I was able to put it in a smaller box to be stored away.
The temps are in the 70s today with some sunbeams so my precious Noah and I are enjoying having the big door open and gated. There won't be many more days we can enjoy this as the colder and wintry weather will eventually become more the "norm" - - which I am not looking forward to.
So glad you were able to get your errands and chores done quickly yesterday so that you and your precious Tang could enjoy most of the day together.

Sunny and warm (81) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear you could have the big door open at least one more time for Noah to enjoy. It's good you found that box from your and Oslo's volunteer time; you may want to hold to most of that. I know I would.
I'm glad the forum is back up too. I totally missed that message from the admin. I woke up at about 5:15 this morning on my own. No waifs again which makes mew

But I'll keep at it as long as the food seems to getting eaten. I figure it can't ALL be the possum and squirrels.
It's been a really low key day around here with me and Tang. Just channel surfing, reading and napping. it was cool enough this morning to allow Tang some balcony time too. Oh, I figured out a way to get paid for election day and still be off. My sup said I could go ahead and use my 8 hours of community service. As much as I don't care for that job, he can be pretty cool at times.
Not much else going on here. I hope today is treating you and Noah kindly and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy chilly 50-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like you and your precious Tang had a nice day together yesterday, which is always a blessing. And I'm so glad your supervisor gave you the information you need to be off election day and still get paid. It sounds like your supervisor is trying to be "decent" - - as much as the expectations of his position can allow him to be. And he seems to be a "better" supervisor compared to most of the others you've had in previous jobs No, this job isn't "ideal", - - however you have been in worse situations. And you have endured through your first year there and still have a job - - which means that you still have a paycheck - - and from your previous experiences this is a "good" thing. Still it doesn't hurt to continue to keep your options open for other possibilities, my friend, as you feel appropriate.
My precious Noah is still slumbering under blankets as I'm writing to you. Needed to schedule payment for a couple of bills this morning so have been working a bit on financials. And I think after my precious boy rouses for the day I will finally be able to finish storing away the rest of the documents that I need to keep. That has been "phase 2" of the purging project - - reorganizing things in the small storage room so that I can get to the storage bins I need to have access to on a regular basis. One of the additional things I did was to pull out the box of medical equipment that I had stored under the basement stairs. I was able to transfer that "stuff" to one of the empty storage bins and put that in the small storage room where I would have easier access to it if / when I need it - - which I'm not planning on. So now the space under the basement steps is just about cleared out. Just have a couple of things stored there that I don't - - and won't - - need access to anytime in the near future, but can get to more easily now at whatever point in time I need to. At some point in time today I want to make a trek to the mailbox to get the mail delivered since last Thursday.

Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well.
Not so much here - and therefore I will have to be brief. I woke up feeling OK and provisioned the waifs of which I only saw Siamese. I had a bit of a lie down with Tang and got up with a wave of aches, chills and nausea. I read or saw somewhere when the colon is acting up it can be accompanied by "flu like" symptoms. I'll have to check with my doctor about that when I can.
After a whole day of rest (with Tang by my side for most of it) I feel only somewhat better. So, let's hope as you said, after all this time I still have a job.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy chilly 50-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well yesterday. GI upsets can induce "flu like" symptoms as the GI tract affects other systems of the body. I hope your doctor will be able to give you some good advice / medicinal treatment whenever you see him. In the meantime you really don't need the added stress of unemployment, so I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you will indeed still have a job. Please let us know how things go.
Today has been busy. The service rep was here this morning to service the emergency generator. So it is now ready to serve if needed during the coming winter months. I checked the meter on the propane tank and in the next couple of weeks or so I will need to call the gas dealer to come add more fuel to the tank so that the tank will be full in case of a power outage. Since I already have an account the funds are already available to pay for the fuel and service call. I then proceeded to take some "stuff" up to the garage to take to the special trash bins tomorrow at the landfill. Need to call Noah's doctor this afternoon to make an appointment for him for his 6 month checkup, and to see if they would like some items that Noah no longer needs, and will not be used again when Noah transitions from this earthly realm. So now I'm looking forward to settling down with my precious Noah for the rest of the day.
Once again, Tracy, I hope you're feeling better today, and that you do indeed still have a job.

Sunny and unseasonably warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear your generator checked out and is ready to serve if needed, although I hope it isn’t. Not meaning to be nosy, but I’m curious as to what items Noah no longer needs
I’m feeling better today – enough to come to work anyway. I still have a job as far as I know. There was a mix up on my community service pay though. My sup put it for a day last pay period I was out sick and it can’t be called back. This means I will have 2 days w/o pay on the next check. But as I was expecting one day w/o pay on the coming one and now that won’t happen, I guess it balances out. Still frustrating though
I saw Big Tabby when provisioning the waifs this morning. Then as I was leaving for my bus stop, Siamese leaped out of nowhere as if to say “Hey, I’m here too!” I certainly appreciated the effort as it lets me know he/she is doing OK. I’m still sad I haven’t seen any of the Tux boys in forever and Bobtail only occasionally
Tang was in pretty good spirits this morning and we managed to squeeze in some quality cuddle time. I will update on how he’s doing when I get home.
Just counting down my time until my shift is over and I can turn my thoughts toward heading home to Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 6:36. I was told by a fellow rider (and frequent complaint filer) the driver was pretty much on time last night too. So, we will see what happens. Tang met me at the door as usual and has had his supper - unfortunately some of it was vomit on the rug later with whole bits not chewed (sigh) Between that a student loan garnishment threat in tonight's mail, not the best of ways to end the day. Tang seems to be feeling better now though.

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant 70-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm glad you still have a job - - that is encouraging. I'm sorry you'll have a "loss" in your paycheck - - that is never a good thing particularly when every penny counts. Am also sorry you got a nasty notice about your student loan status. It is a marvel to me how my nephew Matthew has managed to make his student loan payments over the years with the constant uncertainty of having a teaching position, so I can relate to your dilemma. I hope you'll be able to sort out this situation in your favor. Please let us know how things go - - whatever you feel comfortable sharing with us.
Some of the items I'm donating to Noah's doctor include the kitty play pen I purchased for Noah and Abbygayle when they were just little bitty babies to keep them safe during the day while I was at work, out doing errands, recovering from their "personal" surgeries, etc., a very large kennel crate I purchased for Eli when he had his massive cancer surgery, a couple of extra unused kitty latrines, various extra collars, a couple of coats I used for my beloved Samson and Oslo, a few sweaters I used for Eli and Noah - - which neither of them "appreciated", and a couple of other miscellaneous items. I'm glad these items are going to Noah's doctor next Tuesday, 11/8, when he has his 6 month check up.
This morning I made a trip into the main landfill to take some items to the special trash bins. The hardest part was getting the very old paint tarp I used 20 years ago to lay on the floor while I painted and wall papered the basement living quarters. It hasn't been used since and it is filthy - - so I wouldn't use it again for anything. The tarp was very large and a bit on the heavy side, but I finally managed to get it into the bin. The rest of the "stuff" was easy. My precious Noah was still curled up on the blankets when I left but when I got home he was upstairs greeting me as though I had been gone for ages instead of 1.5 hours. It's nice to be genuinely missed. He is now letting me know it's time to get some lunch in his bowl, so will get this off to you.

Sunny and warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sorry to hear that tarp gave you such trouble, but glad you were able to manage it. What a treasure trove you are donating to Noah’s doctor. I’m sure these items will find good homes

Thanks for the well wishes on the student loan – I’m going to see if I can re-consolidate it or something.
I saw Siamese this morning not once but twice! Once while provisioning and again on my way back out. He/she greeted me both times too. I also saw White Cat who I haven’t seen in a while and she was quite chatty too
Tang was in good spirits this morning and I was able to allocate a full hour of nap/cuddle time before heading out. Of course he only stayed for about half of that

More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Just about 1 ½ hours until my shift is over and I can look forward to getting home to Tang. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Well, home again by 6:36. He's still "giving away the farm" on fares, but if it keeps him on time then whatever. Tang met me at the door as usual. He's had his supper (and kept it down thankfully) He is curled up at my feet taking his evening constitutional

He is doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny very pleasant 70-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad your precious Tang was able to enjoy his dinner last night without any incidents. All it takes is just one or two pieces of dry food to get stuck in the throat or not settle well somewhere in the digestive tract, and that can cause digestive upsets. Please let us know how your precious boy is doing.
I hope you will be able to refinance your student loan, my friend. I have seen some programs advertised on TV, but please be careful that you don't get sucked into a scam - - as those have been reported in the news.
Yesterday and today I loaded the items into the car that I'm donating to Noah's doctor so that next Tuesday morning, 11/8, my focus will solely be on getting Noah into his stroller and into the car. Either Saturday or Monday I'll load his travel crate into the front seat so that will be ready for him Tuesday morning without any delays. I'm at a point now where I know for certain that my precious Noah is my last fur child during my earthly journey, and I would rather have these items used than collecting dust and taking up space.
My regular volunteer is out of town this week, so today I was able to see a volunteer couple who I haven't seen for awhile. She and her husband came to help with the trash can and get the mail that had been delivered since Monday afternoon - - all of it junk mail. It was good to see them.
Yesterday's temps were very pleasant as well, so my precious Noah and I have had the pleasure of enjoying having the big door open and gated. Temps are forecasted to be back in the 60's for highs beginning tomorrow and continuing on through most of next week, so today will be the last day of having the big door open for awhile.
So glad your travels home yesterday were expedient, which is always helpful after a day at work. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy, cool and rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. How nice that you got to see the volunteers you haven’t seen for a while and catch up. It’s also nice that the weather permitted the big door to be open for you and Noah to enjoy nature’s splendor.
Provisioning the waifs this morning I only saw Little Gray who was very friendly. It’s nice if I can at least see one “representative” from the group to know that that they are doing OK.
Tang was in his usual good spirits this morning giving me nuzzles when my alarm went off. Not much in the way of extra cuddle time today, but I’ll make it up to him. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Thanks for the heads up on the refi scams on the student loan. I’ve seen the stories. I’m going to call US Dept. of Education first on 11/08 when I’m off to see what can be done. Most of the articles I’ve read said they would prefer not to garnish if possible in most cases. Let’s hope that’s true because 15% would sink me
Less than 2 more hours until my shift is over and I can turn my thoughts toward getting home to Tang (hopefully not soaked) I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 6:40

Knew it wouldn't last. He'll be even later tomorrow, and later still Monday, etc. And wouldn't you know the rain held off until.....yep right before I got off the bus. At least Tang was at the door when I got in

He's had his supper and INSISTED on balcony time even though I told him that it had just rained and it's wet. The look he gave me coming back in reminded me of Theresa. But he is otherwise doing well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny coolish breezy 60-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I hope your contact with the Department of Education offers you the opportunity to refinance your loan. Please let us know how things go - - whatever you feel comfortable sharing with us.
Did some work on financials this morning with my precious Noah keeping me company at the desk while I worked. Am slowly making progress with my "reorganization" project from the sorting and purging shred-a-thon project. It's one of those situations where one thing leads to another and snowballs into other things that need to be looked at and sorted and purged. Thankfully most of the "stuff" I'm going through now needs to be kept and re-filed, and whatever can be purged is easily done with my shredder.
My precious Noah is doing well, which is always a blessing of good news to share with you. We had a nice cuddle this morning after his breakfast. He is letting me know that it's getting time for some lunch in his bowl, so will get this off to you.
Hope you didn't get too drenched in your travels yesterday. You've had enough health issues to contend with recently - - getting a chill that could lead to a very bad cold or flu would be miserable.
The good news is that today is F R I D A Y and in a few hours you will begin your trek homeward to your precious prince Tang to enjoy another weekend together. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool TGIF greetings to you and Your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope you are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel of your documents process so you can both have some more quality time together. I didn’t get too wet coming home last night, but thanks for asking.
This morning’s waif representative was Siamese again; friendly as always. It’s almost like they try to have at least one or two out there each morning as if to say “We have to be more careful these days, but we’re still here and appreciate you”
Tang was in good spirits this morning as if sensing today is Friday . Not a lot of cuddle time but the weekend is afoot. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Coming to work was a nightmare. Apparently the bus driver didn’t show up (that sounds familiar) and by the time they found someone, it was almost an hour late. I still got here about 7:40 so I wasn’t late. But I felt rushed and was in desperate need of a restroom

The calls have been back to back and probably will be as more and more terminals go inactive (all of them as of Monday) for forced updates. I’m really glad I’m taking Tuesday off (approved) now even it it’s technically w/o pay.
Just about 1.5 hours until my shift ends and my weekend may begin. I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 7:00 - would have been 10-15 minutes earlier if I hadn't been stupid enough to wait on a UPS bus that never came. Tang met me at the door as always. He's had a bit of balcony time after his supper and is having his evening bath at my feet. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny coolish 60-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm glad to know you are still being able to take Tuesday, 11/8, off as you had planned even though it will be without pay. I hope this doesn't cause financial stress to you. I'm also glad you weren't late getting to work yesterday - - I can so understand how apprehensive you must have felt with the bus being so late - - not knowing what you should do - - should you wait or call a cab, etc.
I'm so smiling at your precious Tang as he takes his after dinner bath at your feet. My precious Noah likes to do a "spruce up" on my lap using me for support for his back. I really do so enjoy when he does this - - it shows me he trusts me.
Today has been busy ordering some necessities from WalMart. I forgot some items in my first order, so I had to go back online and place a second order. The first order will have free shipping, but I didn't have enough items for the second order for free shipping. Oh well - -. In preparation for the clock change tonight I've changed the time on the clocks here in the basement living quarters.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning, and he joined me at the computer desk while I was working on the WalMart orders. He has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages warming on the stove.
I hope you were able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious prince Tang can enjoy most of this day together and will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Sunny and cool Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sorry to hear you missed some items on your Walmart list and had to pay shipping on them. I hope they all arrive in a timely manner.
Waif attendance this morning was 0

Even when I went back out after first putting my clothes in the drier. I hope they are OK

I did have the laundry room to myself for the duration though. That was nice.
With no special errands today, I just had to go to Save a Lot and was home a little after 9. I went over budget though and the majority of the reason for that was: They were out of the generic 10 LB bags of dry cat food (for the waifs) for 6.99 and I had to get the 13 LB Purina for 9.99 - and they were out of the 14 LB tubs of litter for 3.49 and I had to buy (get this) the 8.5 LB double tall national brand tub that's supposed to do the job of 17 LBS for 11.99

Because it's all they had and I would have run out by next week.
The rest of the day has been spent with Tang relaxing on the couch. Reading, watching some TV and getting lots of pillow-on-my-chest snuggles

He's also had some balcony time with the sunny weather. He's just had his super and is settled at me feet. He seems well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny nippy 60-ish Sunday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I can soooo relate to your frustration of having to "substitute" grocery items that are more expensive - - and particularly at a time when you know your finances are going to be "short" in the paycheck. I hope having to pay the extra dollars for supplies doesn't put too much stress on your budget.
I hope you were able to see at least one of the community waifs this morning during your provisioning. I can understand how unsettling it is for you to see such drastic changes in the community waif colony. Please let us know how they're doing.
Not much happening around the homestead today. My precious Noah is still snuggled under blankets as I'm writing to you. The furnace is running regularly this morning until temps warm up a bit. I am sooooo not looking forward to the colder weather.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. Hello moon_beam. Sunny, cool but pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doping well.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers about the waifs. I saw Siamese just after putting down the food in the first area. As I was about top walk away from the second area after putting down the food, Bobtail came bounding out of nowhere from atop of the hill as if to say "Wait! I'm coming!" It was good to see him again and looking fairly well.
I then set about correcting all of my clocks except the Dave and Buster's neon wall clock. I always leave that one alone. The hardest one was my current flip cell phone. I could find no clock/time setting on it like my old one (that I still use for an alarm clock) After trolling the internet, I came across a Yahoo answers that said power it off and back on and it will reset itself. Darned if that didn't do it too
The rest of the day has been spent cuddling with Tang on the couch watching TV, reading and napping. He's had plenty of balcony time throughout the day and is now having his supper from a freshly opened can. He is well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny coolish 60-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Siamese and Bobtail yesterday during your provisioning. I know seeing Bobtail really lifted your spirits knowing he / she is still with the colony. I'm keeping all the waifs in my thoughts and prayers that they are safe and that you will see more of them at some point in time. Please let us know how they're doing.
Am glad you found out how to adjust the time / date on your new cell phone. Ain't high technology grand? If it were me I would need to print off the instructions to have on hand for reference, but hopefully you have a better memory than me.
While my precious Noah slumbered under blankets this morning I did more sorting and organizing of "stuff" that I need to keep. Finished working on the file for receipts for household items that I keep not only for my records but also for insurance purposes in case a "something" should happen that I need to present information for a claim. Still have "stuff" to go through but am slowly making progress. Also got Noah's travel crate secured in the car for tomorrow's trek to his check up.
Speaking of my boy he is doing well. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready so will get this off to you.
The good news for today is that you have tomorrow off to enjoy with your precious prince Tang. I only saw Siamese this morning during provisioning. That’s better than not seeing any of the waifs though. I keep them in my thoughts and prayers and appreciate your doing the same.
Tang was in good spirits this morning. Not much in the way of cuddle time, but hopefully I can make that up to him tomorrow when I’m finished voting and dealing with the US Dept. of Education. I will let you know how he’s doing when I get home.
Been back to back calls pretty much the whole day. But not the inactive terminals and time change like I was expecting. I got a few of those, but most were misrouted calls I never should have gotten to start with
A little over an hour until this work day is done and I can think about getting home to Tang (and being off tomorrow) I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 6:32 (I have never been so glad to get out of that place) Substitute driver - we were hoping it permanent. He was a good sport listening to us "dog pile" on the other driver. Tang met me at the door as usual but with more spring in his step - like he knows I'm free tomorrow after I vote. He's had his supper and is doing well.

Hi, Tracy, was sunny now becoming cloudy coolish 60-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
Sounds like you had a busy Monday. While I was working some people who answered the phones would route calls to me they didn't know what to do with - - so like you ended up being the "switchboard" operator more times than what was necessary. So I understand how irritating it can be being the "one" to sort through the caller's needs - - and sometimes being the one on the receiving end of the client's impatience particularly if they've been "routed" several times before being routed to you. After a day like yesterday I know you were glad you had today to "re-group" at home with your precious boy. Hope you can get some satisfaction from the Dept of Education with your loans. Please let us know how things go.
My precious boy was not happy with me when I put him in his stroller to leave the house, but he took things in stride as best he could and endured through the indignities of his 6 month exam. His blood glucose was 116, which his doctor is very pleased with, as am I. His weight is holding steady at 10 pounds, and his blood glucose levels are remaining steady as well. I asked Dr. Bolen about the frequent episodes of furball tummies he's been having - - specifically the effects of the stomach acid on his esophagus. She told me that the fur has a tendency to absorb the acid so there isn't any concern about him developing "acid reflux". The concern would be if there was nothing but stomach bile involved, and that would require tests to determine a diagnosis and treatment. So that put my mind at ease. He's eating well, alert, active, - - so he received a good health certification to see him through the winter. Now that he's home he's giving me lots of affection, which helps me to not feel like a "mean ol' mommy" for having to trick him into his stroller this morning.
After we got home I worked on dusting off the space heaters and have them up and running now as temps are forecasted to take a tumble into the 40's and 50's for highs and 20's and 30's for lows.
It's time for me to get some lunch in my precious Noah's bowl, so will get this off to you. Cloudy, cool and occasionally rainy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm so glad to hear your baby did so well on his checkup. 116 is fantastic! I'd be happy if I could get Tang under 200.
I was up bright and early, but not feeling the usual dread since I didn't have to go to work (that'll come tomorrow I guess) I didn't see any waifs this morning, but I got a nice surprise coming home from voting. I saw Tux Sr

We caught up for a while, but it was cut short by the cat hating maintenance man picking up trash

Nice to know Tux Sr is OK though.
I got lucky with transportation getting the UPS bus to the polling place and home again. Once there it took all of about 5 minutes. Always best to show up early. I was coming home at about 7:30.
I called about the student loan and they have agreed to a PA that's 17.00 per month more than what I offered (I bid about half what I thought I could afford) But the good news is I was told once they have my pay stubs to verify my taxes/health insurance, it will probably go way down. I have to call my case worker tomorrow when I get off to get the paperwork started.
The rest of the day has been spent chilling with Tang. He's had his supper and is curled up at my feet. He is well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy gusty windy chilly 50-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad you were able to get positive results with your school loans. I hope all will go well with your contact with your case worker so that you can get the reduction in payments. Please let us know how things go - - whatever you feel comfortable sharing with us.
I'm also very happy to share your news that you saw Tux Sr yesterday during your travels. I know that lifted your spirits a lot knowing that he's still around and seems to be doing okay - - and is still responsive to you. Thank you so much for sharing this great news with us.
Today has been focused on working through the piles of financial receipts that collected during my sorting and purging project. What a mess it was, too!!! Finally got them sorted and filed away. I'm now able to see the desk again. Am still going through the sorting and filing of receipts from the sorting and purging project that I need to keep, but am making progress on that as well.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning after his breakfast, and was able to do most of the organizing of "stuff" while he slumbered under blankets. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready, so will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Partly cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds yo both doing well. Glad to hear you paperwork is done so you both could spent some quality time together.
No waifs this morning which was kind of a letdown after seeing Tux Sr yesterday

But I will keep up with my mission to feed them and try to look out for them. I’m keeping them in my thoughts and prayers as always.
Tang was in good spirits this morning when I awoke just ahead of my alarm. I just had to turn on the TV to see election results. Bottom line, I’m not a happy camper today

But at least my boy was there cuddled up with me when I got up. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
I hear the call volume yesterday was even worse than Monday – glad I wasn’t here. Today has been sporadic back to back, but not too bad over all. Just about an hour before my end of shift and I can then call the student loan people; I hope it doesn’t take too long. I’ll keep you posted.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant breezy Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm sorry your precious Tang had an upset tummy after his dinner last night. That's always worrying because you don't know "for sure" the "why" - - if he ate too fast, if some kibble got stuck somewhere prompting a "regurgitation" effect, etc.. But I know he's blessed to have you for his Forever Dad knowing that if you suspect "something" amiss out of the ordinary you will take care of it immediately. By the way, how is his ear doing these days - - the one that had a problem with a growth? I presume there are no more issues with that. Are you still needing to clean his ears?
Have been working on financials again today. Got a very confusing e-mail from PayPal which prompted a call to their customer service. After reading the e-mail to a service rep and the service rep looking up my account I was told to disregard the e-mail notice. It was one of those mass mailings explaining changes to PayPal services.
Got most of my Wal Mart order delivered and unpacked. Need to go over the separate deliveries against the orders to double check the charges against my credit card.
My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning, and worked on financials while he slumbered under blankets. He has had his lunch and mine is on the stove warming as I'm writing to you.
Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Glad to hear you got your Walmart order on time. That’s weird about your Paypal, but at least it wasn’t a scam or anything.
Thanks for asking after Tang. His ear is great and Dr. Mills is still in awe of that each time he sees him, as am I. I clean it about once a week for “maintenance” but it’s really doing well. He was in good spirits this morning as he kept me company getting ready for work. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
This morning provisioning the waifs I didn’t see any of my regulars at the closest feeding area, but when I got down to the other one White Cat was already waiting on me. She got spooked a little though when from over the grassy hill, Tux Sr and Little Gray came bounding over. Tux Sr looked like he might try to “hog” the food, but a gentle reminder from me that the food is for everyone seemed to keep the peace. It was good to see him 2 days in a row.
Been pretty busy call volume wise today, but it’s just over an hour until my shift ends and I can look forward to heading home to Tang.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening . TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 6:50

That didn't last long (sigh) Tang met me at the door which always lifts my spirits though

He's had his supper with no upset tummy and a little balcony time in the brisk Fall air; he is well.

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant coolish 60-ish T G I F greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I am totally thrilled to share your news that your precious Tang's ears are doing well, particularly the one that had such a problem with the recurring growth. This is excellent news, and I know this takes a huge concern off your mind.
Thank you for sharing the good news that you saw Tux Sr again as well as Little Gray and White Cat during your provisioning yesterday. I know seeing them helps to reassure you that the community tribe still has at least some of its original members. They continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how they're doing.
The handyman contractor who installed my new mailbox will be here tomorrow morning to begin doing some of the "home improvement" jobs that need to be done which I can't do anymore. None of them are "big" jobs, so I'm hoping he will be able to make progress quickly. I'll let you know how things go. Not sure how long he will be here tomorrow, so I might not be able to be online tomorrow. Just a "heads up" to let you know so that you don't worry in case I'm not able to return until Sunday.
I did bite the bullet this morning and changed the bedding from the summer cool cotton sheets to the warmer flannel ones. It's an admission that overnight temps are now in the 30's and 40's instead of the nicer 60's and low 70's. My precious Noah is thoroughly enjoying having his personal heater operating again as well.
Not much else happening around the homestead today. Today is F R I D A Y and I know you are already eagerly looking forward to the end of your shift so that you can be homeward bound to your precious Tang for the weekend . Hello moon_beam. Sunny and mild TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I hope all goes well with your contractor projects tomorrow, and thank you for the heads up on possibly not being on again until Sunday. Thanks also for the encouraging words on how Tang is doing with his ear.
Waif attendance was down a bit this morning. I only saw Siamese and Bobtail and even that was on my way back out heading to the bus stop. I keep them in my thoughts and prayers and I thank you for doing the same. I know my angels are looking out for them too
Tang was in good spirits today as he kept me company getting ready for work. Not much in the way of cuddle time, but I will try to make it up to him as much as I can this weekend (I have to go the library, so it’s a “long” errand day tomorrow) More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Call volume has been spurts of back to back activity then slacking off – then we start the whole thing over again

But, as you say, it’s Friday and the end of the work week!
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny coolish 50-ish Caturday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you saw Siamese and Bobtail yesterday during your travels - - it has been awhilw since you've seen Bobtail. Keeping all the waifs in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to knowing how they're doing.
This will be a bit on the brief side. The contractor is still here working on things, but so far so good with everything. He's very diligent and precise in his work, and I'm very pleased with everything. My precious Noah is doing okay with him being here as well. I will need to get him his lunch soon, - - can't believe it's close to 1:30 p.m. already.
As always I hope you were able to get your chores / errands done quickly today so that you and your precious prince Tang can enjoy most of this day together and will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Tang. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I'm glad to hear your contractor is doing such good work. I hope everything turns out to your satisfaction.
I awoke at 5:30 to my alarm. I didn't see any waifs this morning unless you count Bobtail I saw darting across the parking lot on my way to do laundry and an unknown black cat I saw scrambling under the back fence. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers; as do I.
Speaking of laundry, I had the machines to myself but not the room. When I entered, there was a man sleeping under the hanging bar in the corner

I know the management says call the police on stuff like that, but he seemed harmless enough. And it seemed like a crappy thing to do. Besides, Americans have down way too many crappy things lately. He was gone by the time I went to get my clothes out of the drier anyway.
Errands seemed to go timely enough having to go the library and Kroger. I was home a little before 11:00. The rest of the day as been spent relaxing with Lt. Tang. He's just had his supper and is enjoying some balcony time. He is doing well.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly 50-ish Sunday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So glad you were able to get your chores and errands done reasonably quickly yesterday so that you and your precious Tang could enjoy most of the day together. From my many years of employment I know all too well how hard it is working all week long and then having to do errands / chores on the first day of a weekend - - basically leaving you only 1.5 days of weekend time to just wind down from the week's stress. Still it's time doing something other than being stuck in an office doing something you really don't like doing at all - - and the change of activity can be a pleasant change.
The contractor left here yesterday about 4 p.m.. He completed many things on the "to do" list and didn't grumble when I asked him about a couple of other things to add to the list. I now have handles on the kitchen cabinets which are already making it a lot easier to open the cabinets rather than having to pull and tug on the bottom of the doors to get them to open. He put a handle on the bathroom pocket door which makes it much easier to open and close, and will help to keep the door from popping off the sliders. He installed a new door frame seal on the big double door so that the frigid cold air will no longer leak in during the bitter cold winter months. In January when we had the 2 foot snow fall some snow leaked onto the carpet just inside the door because the seal was so badly frayed. He fixed the drop ceiling tiles around the chimney so that they don't sag anymore, and replaced a few other ceiling tiles that were showing definite age. He also replaced the drop ceiling plexi-glass tile in the bathroom which was really nasty from a collection of dead stink bugs. He just has the paneling to install on the built-in book case walls in the basement kitchen area, and then I think things will be in better shape than what they have been for many a time.
This morning my precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle, and while he slumbered under blankets I worked on the ongoing project of organizing file folders and envelopes that were "retired" from the purging project and getting them stored away. I can once again see the tops of the project work tables in the computer area - - which hasn't been the case for several months now. Just need to get caught up on the filing away of receipts, etc., and then everything will be "current" - - or at least that's the theory. I am now looking forward to focusing the rest of the day to my precious Noah.
I hope today is treating you and your precious prince Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious boy will have a blissful, peaceful, cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.

Sunny and mild (currently 61) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sounds like your contractor accomplished quite a lot yesterday. I hope these updates and fixes will make life easier for you going forward. Sounds like you got a lot done yourself today too.
I awoke this morning to my alarm at 5:40 and proceeded with waif provisioning. I only saw Siamese though. I had to give him/her props for moxy. It was only 32 out at the time with frost on the cars and grass.
I then came inside to take care of Tang's needs. His insulin vial is starting to run a tad low but I saw a commercial that the new Walmart across from the Kroger is set to open this week. It'll be ice to get the insulin closer to home.
It's been a typical low key Sunday around here. Relaxing and snuggling with Tang. He's just had his supper and some balcony time. Now it's time for us both to settle in before I have to face another work week.
I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes drizzly 50-ish Monday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I'm so glad a Wal Mart is opening close to you. I know you have preferred to get your and your precious Tang's prescriptions from Wal Mart and hope the pharmacy will continue to provide you good service as it has in the past.
Thank you for your encouragement about my "home improvement" projects. It is really nice seeing the ceiling tiles properly in place again particularly around the chimney for the wood stove. It really is a huge improvement. This morning before I left to do my quick errand to the post office I looked at the ceiling in the upstairs back bedroom that had the small water stain streak from a leak around one of the roof venting pipes. The contractor put a layer of Kilz stain / paint over it Saturday, and looking at it today you can't tell where the stain was, and the "new" white paint blends right in with the rest of the ceiling. So this is very, very good news because we were both a bit concerned that the "paint patch" might end up requiring the entire ceiling to have to be painted. So that "project" can be considered completed.
As a routine I keep the keys to the car in the car on the dashboard so that I don't have to be looking for them when I'm ready to leave the house. This morning, however, the keys were nowhere to be found in the car. After doing a mild panic I got the extra set of keys from my purse and went on my way to the post office. I wondered if the contractor had needed to move the car to get to the packages of extra ceiling tiles and had "automatically" not thinking put the keys in his pockets. But I also thought that maybe I had put the keys in my pockets when I got home with Noah from last week's travels to his doctor. So when I got home I looked in the pockets to my sweater. I didn't find the keys but I did find my glasses that I keep in my purse. So I put those in my purse. I then checked the pockets to the dress I wore and - - thankfully - - the keys were there. This is a classic example of a very definite "senior moment". Needless to say I am very, very glad I found the keys.
On my way home from the post office I stopped into the trash collection site that is next to the post office. There is an assistant on site now, and I noticed that there are special trash bins as well. So I asked the assistant if the special trash bins would always be on site and he confirmed that they would be. So this is very good news as well. I have a few "odds and ends" that are special trash, and it's nice to know the special trash bins are now permanently on site.
I was able to get the errand run done while my precious Noah slumbered under blankets. He roused to start the day after I got home. He is now comfortably stretched out in front of his personal heater as I'm writing to you.
I'm so glad you and your precious prince Tang had a very nice day yesterday, and that you at least saw Siamese during your provisioning yesterday morning. I hope the community tribe will have a warm place to huddle in as the colder weather becomes the norm over the next several months.
Hello moon_beam. Sunny and mild greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. I’m glad to hear your home improvements are working out well. I’m sorry to hear you misplaced your keys, but glad you finally found them. Don't fret the "senior" moments too much - I have them myself from time to time
Waif attendance was a bit better this morning. I saw Siamese the first time out and Little Gray on my way to the bus stop. With colder (at or near freezing) weather closing in overnight these days as you mentioned, I worry about them. I think they stay warm by getting into the storm drain entrances on the other side of the fence – I have felt warm air coming from there in the winter.
Tang was in good spirits this morning as I awoke to him snuggled at my feet. He kept me company as I readied myself to face a new work week. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Usual slow start Monday on call volume eventually turning into back to back (sigh) But, it’s a living as the saying goes. Just counting down my time until the end of my shift when I can turn my thoughts toward heading home to Tang.
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Well, home safe and sound at 7:00

If I ran late on my job this often, I'm sure I wouldn't have a job. Tang met me at the door which always lifts my spirits. He was pretty vocal about my lateness though. He's had his supper and doing well. I hate that he gets short changed attention wise in nights like this though.

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant 60-ish Tuesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
I can soooo understand your frustration in getting home late on a non-errand evening which shortchanges the quality time for you and your precious Tang. I can just hear your precious boy "daddy, what on earth took you so long in getting home. I was getting worried. It's sooooo good to have you home, daddy. I love you."
I'm glad the community waifs have a warm place to huddle in the storm drain now that the temps are getting colder. I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers, as well as you in your endeavors to provide for them.
It has been a busy day here at the homestead. My precious Noah and I had a nice snuggle this morning after his breakfast, and while he slumbered under blankets I worked more on the organization project. I finally have the file box finished with the home contents inventory of major purchases, so that's ready to go to the storage room. Got the numerous now empty file folders put away, and will be re-purposing a plastic storage box that was being used to store the unused legal size file folders. Got the financial logs and calendars for next year's recordkeeping printed off as well as the file labels for the tax information. Was also finally able to print off my monthly credit card statement from my credit union and got those receipts ready to file away. AND have a load of laundry going in the washing machine as I'm writing to you. There are still many loads in the laundry basket to be done in due course but at least I have made a start.
My precious Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know mine is now ready so will get this off to you.
Hello moon_beam. Sunny and pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. It sounds like you have had a busy day indeed. I hope you were able to finish up and have quality time with your little man.
I saw Siamese again at the first feeding area and going down to the other, Little Gray came to meet me half way as she sometimes does

I thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers as I do.
Tang was in good spirits this morning as I awoke to my alarm. I managed to squeeze in some cuddle time as he kept me company readying myself for another day in the pit. More on how he’s doing when I get home.
Same old same old for the call volume, although it slacked off somewhat after lunch (knock wood) Just counting down my time until the end of my shift when I can turn my thoughts toward getting home to Tang – hopefully on time (I did register another complaint to TARC this morning)
I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant 60-ish Wednesday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits. It's always a blessing sharing your news that your precious Tang, and you, are doing well.
Sorry you're having to resume the routine of complaining to TARC about problems with drivers, etc.. From a previous post at least you know you're not the only one. It used to be that combined voices were heard and obtained desired results. Sadly this is becoming less and less the case. However, keep voicing your complaints, my friend - - if for no other reason than because you are paying their salary and they are in reality your "employee." Please let us know how things go.
It has been another busy day here at the homestead. While my precious Noah slumbered under blankets I managed to reconcile this month's bank statement with the checkbook. I didn't have a chance to do this with last month's statement as I was just too busy with the shred-a-thon and then trying to get "stuff" reorganized. Skipping the reconciliation last month did not pose a problem as things are in good shape. So that's done for another month. When I got the checkbook verified, I continued the ongoing project of organizing "stuff" from the purging project. The piles of paper to be filed away are slowly decreasing, thank goodness. My precious boy joined me at the work desk when he roused to start the day. Finally got the weekly trash in the trash can and then it was time to get my precious boy his lunch. Mine is in the final stages warming on the stove as I'm writing to you.

Sunny and pleasant greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope this finds you both doing well. Sounds like you got a lot done today.
Having to spend the better part of the morning (and the day for that matter) in the bathroom unfortunately kept me home today. Sadly, it may be my own fault because I think I forgot to take my digestion pills with my supper last night (sigh)

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant 60-ish Thursday greetings to you and your precious prince Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious boy doing well and in good spirits.
So sorry you weren't feeling well yesterday, and hope your absence from work doesn't put you in an adversary position with your supervisor or employment situation. Hope you're feeling better today.
While my precious Noah enjoyed sweet dreams under blankets this morning I was able to make more progress on the organization project. I'm now down to two piles of paper that need to be filed away. Also scheduled a couple of bill payments online. Will need to work this weekend on the bill-a-thon for December. Another year is quickly coming to a close.
My volunteer was here this afternoon and we always enjoy a nice chat. Thankfully I was able to get my precious Noah his lunch before she arrived. My lunch is now in the final stages warming on the stove as I'm writing to you.
Once again, Tracy, I hope you're feeling better today so that you could go to work, and that there are no adverse repercussions from your absence yesterday. As always, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe, comfortable, dry, and expedient so that you and your precious Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening blessed with your beloved Sir Thomas' and princess Theresa's sweet Living Spirits to comfort you.
