Hi moon_beam. Sunny and somewhat warmer greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Thanks for the congrats on the job (temp as it may be) Hopefully transportation should work out OK as it's right across the street from where I had worked before. I just got word from the rep for us to meet up to do paperwork tomorrow.

It's been a pleasant day here as well weather wise, but Theresa and Tang don't seem to have much interest in going out; go figure. Glad to hear you were able to get so much done today outside. Sorry you ran out of bags though.

Not much else going on here. The kids are well. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes sunny T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I hope your meeting today with the Brooksource rep went well, and that you are now all set to begin your new job next Thursday. I'm sorry it is only a temporary position, but I'm glad YOU have the job and hopefully by the time this job closes out you will have another lined up and ready to begin. I look forward to sharing with you how things go.

Nothing much going on here today. Got the security scan done on this lap top gizmo, and got caught up on some e-mails. Noah is doing well. He is upstairs at the moment enjoying some quality private time as I'm writing to you. This morning a flock of Robins stopped by to enjoy the property for a little while and he was sooo excited to see the birds. It would be nice if this turns out to be an indicator of an early spring.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how each of you are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Peace and blessings,

Hello moon_beam. Sometimes rainy, cloudy and warmer (62) greetings to you and you precious Noah. Glad to hear he is well and that he got to seem some Robins today happy.gif

Theresa and Tang are well and were able to take advantage of the warmer temps out on the balcony earlier. The meeting went fine, although the rep was 15 minutes late. He emailed me, but it was after I left. I wanted to get to he bank early and get a pre-printed check for my direct deposit. I had also intended to get a haircut before hand, but the Greatclips was ground zero for holiday perms dry.gif So I had to come back after the meeting. I got everything signed and got copies, he scanned my ID and SS card for their records. Starting 12/26/13 at 9:00.

It's been a day of small disappointments that have kind of added up. On top on the SNAFUs whilst out and about, I have not gotten my newspaper yesterday or today, and if someone did pick it up, they were technically not stealing because it's never near mine or anyone else's door. And the season finale of Haven on SyFy supposedly available since 12/17 on demand isn't there. Both have been "reported" and "escalated" Oh, and someone's SUV alarm has been going off every 5 minutes for about the past 1/2 hour. Ah, city living rolleyes.gif And here I thought Friday the 13th was last week blink.gif

Not much else going on. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang, and Theresa. Congrats on the new job! smile.gif I hope you'll like it there and transportation will not be too much of an issue. I hope you and your fur kids are having a nice weekend. It is almost spring-like here today with a high of 71. I opened the window for a while so my girls could enjoy the fresh air, but it was still a bit cool. Mindy and Shelley sat together in the window for a while, but Mindy got so annoyed by Shelley's grooming. She was sitting still while Shelley groomed herself and Mindy and tickled Mindy's ears in the process. Mindy took a nip at Shelley and got two paw-taps on the head in return as if Shelley was saying:"There! That'll teach you!"
Tom's Dad
Hi DannysMom. Happy Caturday to you, your precious Mindy and Shelley and thanks. The commute should be doable, it's across the street from where I used to work.

Chuckling at the girls' antics in the fresh air. It's kind of warm here but it's been raining and storming all day; the lights even flickered at one point ohmy.gif which is rare due to me being on the same grid as the airport. Theresa and Tang are well though, content to nap inside. I hope today is kind to you and your girls and you all have a great evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, happy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm glad you were able to get your meeting accomplished with the Brooksource rep yesterday. Yeah, I know about being "flexible" in getting things done. Glad you were able to eventually get your hair cut. I'm sorry about your having newspaper delivery challenges again, and about not being able to access the Haven episode. Is there a "newspaper box" you put outside your door so that the odds will improve that you will get your newspaper? And I hope the "technical difficulties" will be resolved so that you can finally watch the season finale of Haven.

Life here is on the quiet side today. Got the security updates and scan done on the big desk top and got caught up on the latest news online. I will be interested in finding out how the space walk went today for the astronauts.

Noah is doing well. A few minutes ago he had his lunch and is now giving himself a spruce up on his lamb's wool cushion in preparation for his after lunch nap. It is cloudy here today. In spite of the temps being in the 60's it feels damp and chilly. I had turned off the space heater earlier this morning but I think I will turn it back on to a lower setting.

Hello moon_beam. Happy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. Like there, it's in the upper 60s, but the clouds, rain and wind make it seem cooler. Glad you got your security updates done.

As of 7:05 I didn't have a paper again today and called it in to the automated line. Then, as if by "magic", it showed up about 10 minutes later - in the middle of the hallway again (sigh) Some work ethic on the part of the carrier. Per my chat session with the TWC tech, the on demand issue is supposed to be corrected within 2 business days (maybe)

Theresa and Tang are both well. Since it quit raining and my desktop says it's 69 out, I opened the balcony door. My mighty "huntress" is prowling the deck as I write happy.gif with the wind chimes singing in the breeze.

Not much else going on here. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy Caturday evening to you and the furbabies. I don't like the sound of the weather forecast for later tonight, winds and storms, chance for a tornado. I agree, 60 degrees in the winter feels colder than 60 degrees in the spring.

Kitties still come around to eat, in fact a few minutes ago Tabby and Smokey were about to get into a fight. They're usually friendly with each other. There was plenty of food out there. Tabby hissed real loud at hubby this morning. He thought he had dry food in his hand, but it was canned food. So he enjoyed that. Smokey was waiting for me to come back from the store Thursday. He knew he would get the canned food as a treat. Those 2 are pretty smart. All the others run off as soon as they see us. I haven't seen a skinny, pitiful cat in a long time, so I hope we are helping them.

Tracy, I hope you and furbabies have a peaceful and cozy evening. And again Congratulations on your new job....God Bless.....TTFN..

Hi LoveMyMickey. Happy Caturday to you and yours as well. I'm not crazy about the forecast either unsure.gif It's supposed to get really cold again by Christmas Eve.

So Tabby hissed at hubby because he thought he was going to offer dry food, huh? I guess he's a food critic now laugh.gif Seriously though, I'm glad to hear all the kitties you see are nice and plump from your kindness. I wish I could say the same for my poor waifs (sigh) But I do what I can under certain restrictions.

Thanks again for the congrats. I hope today has been kind to you, hubby, the kitties, and Angel Mickey and that you all have a safe and comfortable evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, rainy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. As always it is a blessing sharing with you how things are going for you and your precious fur family. I hope your laundry time this morning was uneventful.

Nothing like having to play "fetch" in the hallway to get your newspaper. Customer service just "ain't what it used to be."

The local PBS station will be showing a marathon rerun of Downton Abbey Season 3 beginning at 3 p.m. today, so I'm looking forward to that. My brother in Bedford called last night to let me know I am invited to share Christmas Day with them, which I'm glad I will have a chance to spend some time with my nephew. Like everyone else he had a challenge getting out of Idaha to drive to Salt Lake City Airport, and then delays there, because of the weather. But I'm glad he got home ahead of the weather tromping through Atlanta as that was his northbound connection.

Noah is doing well today. He is snuggled next to me as I'm writing to you. Soon it will be time to get him some lunch.

I'm glad your precious Theresa and little Tang were able to get some balcony time yesterday, and hope the storms coming through your area are not as fierce as the weather forecasts indicate they could be. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Rainy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. Glad to hear he is doing well.

Sorry to hear about your nephew's travel difficulties, but it's good you all will get to be together for the holiday. I guess that means you will be seeing poor Stan. Give him our love. I hope you enjoy your programs today too.

We had some awful storms tear through here last line and lost power for about 40 minutes. But watching the news this morning I discovered it wasn't the storm that did it. A lightning strike (no pun intended) felled a power line and caught it on fire at a car dealership in my neighborhood ohmy.gif So, LG&E had to cut the power for the fire dept to get it under control. I was wondering why the power was out so long being that in 10 years we have had little more than flickers even in the worst of storms. It was a little spooky unsure.gif

Laundry went fine. Empty room and machines throughout the cycles, and no "candyman" The paper was on time and by my door. It's a Christmas miracle laugh.gif

Theresa and Tang are well and awaiting the evening goings on. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

I'm glad you weathered (pun intended) the storm okay. smile.gif When the warning came for our county around 10:30, we headed for the basement, barely made it before the bad wind. It sounded ferocious. The TV down there had to be scanned for the digital channels, because the plant board had changed things around and I hadn't fixed it yet. Finally got it done so we could see the weather reports and radar. The storm had passed by then, no damage or power outages in our neighborhood. I don't know what went on in other areas.

I think tthat was Tabby2 that tried to pick a fight with Smokey last night. He can be mean at times. He went next door and was making those fighting growls. Hubby was out there fixing the food and Smokey rubbed his legs as if to say, "I'll protect you" or maybe it was "Will you protect me?" unsure.gif It was pretty dark by then.

Well, that's all the cat-tails for now, so I hope you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa have a peaceful and cozy night...I''m always thinking of our little Angels, Sir Tom and Mickey.....From all of us here, have a good week and a Merry Christmas.....God Bless...TTFN.

Hi LoveMyMickey.

Yes we all "weathered" the storm just fine. I think Sgt Tang was a little on edge though, flashbacks to the night he was rescued I would imagine unsure.gif Princess Theresa took it all in stride, as usual, my mighty huntress happy.gif

Glad you were able to get things in order in the basement. I hope the kitties found some shelter too. Peace, blessings, and Merry Christmas to you, hubby, kitties, and last but not least Angel Mickey. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, rainy, cloudy Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad the power was restored quickly - - 40 minutes is very speedy compared to the several hours, and days, it takes to get power restored here. Hope no one was hurt by the electrical fire.

You have received TWO Christmas miracles: the first one being your new job, and now your newspaper. YEA!!! May the "good times" just keep rollin' for you and your precious companions!!!

Noah decided he did not want cuddle time this morning, so I was up earlier than usual. Got bill payments scheduled online and got my errand run to the post office about an hour ago. So I'm home again much to my precious Noah's delight. He did not run and hide this time as I was getting ready to leave - - for which I am very grateful - - which means the trauma of his veterinary excursions last month is beginning to ease.

Stan always comes to me when I go to Bedford - - curls up at my feet for awhile. I always talk to him and tell him what a special boy he is - - which is met with strong contradictions from my brother and sister-in-law. Oh well - - at least he hears SOMEONE tell him that he's special.

Nothing else much going on here today. Glad your laundry time went smoothly yesterday. Sunny but much cooler (high of only 24 tomorrow) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad he is well and not as stressed when you get ready to leave for errands. To my knowledge there were no injuries from the fire; but lots of damage to about 12 cars on the lot.

The more you tell me about your relatives in regard to poor Stan, the more I dislike them. It's bad enough that they ignore this special boy, but then get mad when you pay him some much needed attention? I know of shelter cats and dogs that are treated better than that. I'd take him in a heartbeat if he wasn't so far away and I wasn't already at my limit with Theresa and Tang, both of whom are doing well and know how special they are. Bless you for showing him some love.

I ran some errands today as it's starting to get cold and some snow (probably not much) moving in tonight. I got a 2 LB frozen turkey loaf w/ gravy, extra big cans of yams, and mixed greens, 2 bags of instant mashed taters, a box of cornbread stuffing, a can of cranberry sauce, and some tins of buttermilk biscuits. All that a few other odds and ends for under 30.00 at the Save a Lot. I love the bargains there; I just wish they had utilized the entire space from the old Winn Dixie. I have promised Tang bites of turkey if he is a good boy happy.gif

Speaking of kitty feed, I have noticed that they don't want their can food so much anymore since I started getting the big cans from Dollar Tree. I think it may be due to having no proper lid (been using foil) and having to store it longer (because there is more) in the 'fridge and it may start to get a metallic taste to it. So, when I got a new can today, I also got a 3 pack of plastic containers to store it in. I'm hoping this helps. They sure tore into it tonight, but tomorrow will be the test.

Not much else happening here. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang on this Christmas Eve Tuesday from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

It sounds like you have the makings of a Christmas feast, and I'm sure your precious Tang will appreciate the turkey treat. And you're right about the canned food not being appealing after a couple of days or so being stored in the can, even when you warm it up. Not only can the food take on a metallic taste from the can, but it can also get rancid faster (this is true for human food as well). Since Noah can now have an afternoon meal (snack) of 1/4 can, this leaves 3 more servings. So I portion out the 3 servings into 3 small plastic containers that have tight lids, and that keeps the 3 servings fresh stored in the fridge. So I hope your efforts to store the "left over" food for your precious Theresa and little Tang will work. Please let us know how things go, my friend.

According to the law Stan is not "neglected or abused" - - for he is fed, medical care provided, etc.. Sadly, though, he is not loved, or wanted, or valued. And when he transitions home to the angels he will not be mourned, or missed by his human caregivers. My family's attitude toward our non-human inhabitants on this planet is that they are expendable - - which is an attitude I have NEVER shared - - past, present, and future. So I do appreciate your keeping little Stan in your thoughts and prayers.

It is a chilly wind outside today, sunny sometimes cloudy, temps at 40 degrees as I'm writing to you. Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty much the same, so at least the drive to Bedford and back home will be dry with good visibility.

Noah is doing well today. Soon it will be time to fix him his afternoon meal. I probably will not be on the computer tomorrow, so I will take this time to wish you and your precious Theresa and little Tang a blissful Christmas day together. As always, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening together.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny but very cold Christmas Eve greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad he is doing well.

Well, at least poor Stan is getting food and medicine, so I presume he gets insulin or other vet approved treatment for his diabetes. Still, I will never understand why people who don't love and value pets even have them. You just go right on giving him loving attention. After all, they say societies are judged by how they treat their children and animals.

I am just putting the turkey loaf on to cook. Even after being in 'fridge for over 24 hours, it's still frozen solid blink.gif It should be done in about 2 1/2 hours. Everything else will take just minutes on the stove top. Tang was right there with his loud predatory bird like meow the minute I opened the box laugh.gif I lowered the box for him to sniff and he did and looked up at me as if to say "Where is the turkey, dad?" He and Theresa and doing well. I gave Tang some wet food after it had been in the 'fridge in the container a couple hours last night and he ate it right up.

I hope today is treating you and Noah kindly and that you both have a peaceful evening and a wonderful Christmas. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy Christmas Eve to you, Tang, and Theresa. Sounds like you were making quite a feast, probably drove the furbabies crazy smelling good stuff. I couln't eat much today if you paid me. I got an old stomach bug last night and I was really sick and then I slept a long time.

Night before last, rather Mon. morning around 3:00 I heard a big bang down in our back yard and our electricity went out, just ours. All the street lights and neighbors' porch lights were on. We couldn't find FPB phone no. so hubby called 911 and she said she would call them. In a few minutes 3 big police cars were parked out front, one policeman went around back and checked the electric pole and looked around. They left and then FPB showed up. He fixed something on the pole, only took a few minutes. They didn't knock on the door. Maybe the storm damaged something the night before. I think there is a dark cloud hanging over us. blink.gif .....Maybe tomorrow Christmas Day will be better, supposed to have company.

Kitties coming by as usual. We always keep dry food out and other things as a treat later so they can come by any time of the day to eat.

Merry Christmas again and enjoy your evening with your sweet furbabies.....God Bless...TTFN

Hi LoveMyMickey. Happy Christmas Eve to you and yours as well.

I am SO sorry to hear you are not feeling well; especially during a time when it's traditional to "feast". I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you had some localized power issues too. I'm glad they got it fixed expeditiously though.

Actually Tang was relatively calm while the turkey cooked, but came to life when I was cooking all the non meat stuff on the stove. Probaly just my presence in the kitchen happy.gif Theresa has never had any use for human food. Probably from "growing up" in a shelter, bless her heart.

Glad to hear the neighborhood kitties in your generous care are faring well. I hope they can find some shelter in the this cold snap. Merry Christmas to you, hubby, and Angel Mickey. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds each of you doing well and in good spirits.

I hope you and your precious companions enjoyed your Christmas Day and feast yesterday, and that this first day on your new job is going smoothly.

It was nice visiting with my nephew for awhile yesterday. He is thankful for his teaching position at the university in Idaho but he will give himself a couple of more years there and then begin his search for a university position closer to the east coast as he really doesn't like being across the country from his immediate family. Stan spent most of the visit on the enclosed unheated front porch, but I did what I could to offer him some kindness whenever possible.

Needless to say I was ever so thankful to get home to my precious Noah yesterday evening who was eagerly anticipating my arrival. I got him his dinner, fixed myself a cup of tea, and then we both snuggled down with one another and were inseparable for the rest of the evening and night.

Trying to get caught up with e-mails today and had a couple of bills to pay online as well. Lunch has been served, and my precious Noah is snuggled next to me as I'm writing to you. Lunch dishes still need washing and a trek to the mailbox is in order after awhile.

Once again, my friend, I hope today is treating you kindly as you being your new job and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hi moon_beam. Sunny and a bit less chilly greetings to you and your precious Noah.

Poor Stan sad.gif I wish I could just magically reach in and pull him home home with me. I'm glad you got to spend quality time with your nephew. I hope he is able to find a position closer to home. I can well imagine Noah was SO glad to see you when you got home saying "MOOOM, where have you been?!" Glad you both got some quality time too.

Theresa and Tang gave me the what for this morning when my alarm went off. They followed me everywhere and Tang was quite vocal as I was heading out the door - bless their hearts. It was not a full day on the new job, which is not unusual in training. I'm in a regular CSR class this week and next. Then I go upstairs to tech support. The nice thing about that is I only have to talk to tax offices not individual customers. Since they let the class go at 3:00 and my first bus didn't come until 4:12, I went up to IT and sat with a tech. Nice to know I can round out my training days that way if need be.

Right now I'm stuck in chat with TWC trying to figure out why I keep getting errors sending all web mail. I swear TWC mail is the worst mad.gif
The kids are OK, but I cleaned up some puke in the hallway when I got home, and Tang puked after his can food ohmy.gif I don't know if he ate too fast or if it's something else. I will need to keep an eye on him unsure.gif

I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly T G I F to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I truly hope and pray that both your precious companions are okay. I can truly understand how concerned you are when you find / hear one, or both, of your precious fur kids having an upset tummy. Please know your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers that his / her / their upset tummy episodes are not serious. Please let us know how they're doing.

I'm so glad your first day on your new job went well, and hope this continues. I truly hope the atmosphere in this job is greatly improved over the less than cordial atmosphere you experienced with your previous employer. Please let us know how things go for you, my friend.

The sun is shining bright and pretty today, and the sunbeams do feel warm coming in through the big windows today, so Noah is thoroughly enjoying himself today. I must confess I'm not looking forward to the next blast of Arctic air forecasted for next week, but I sure am glad I do not live in the New England region or in the mid-West. My heart goes out to the many people who are being so adversely affected by the bitter cold and power outages from the multiple winter storms.

It's time to start getting Noah's afternoon meal warmed and in his bowl, and some lunch on the stove warming for me, too. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hi moon_beam. Sunny and mild TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both doing well. Glad to hear he has sunbeams to bask in again happy.gif

Yeah, I really don't know who threw up while I was out yesterday; and there was a small one just off the kitchen tonight. Theresa has on/off hairball issues because her fur is so fine. But I actually saw Tang throw up after can food last night. I don't know if it's hairballs with him though. I know vomiting can be a "red flag" for diabetes, but it is usually accompanied by other symptoms such as depression and listlessness, which he does not appear to be suffering from. He does sometimes look sad when he's laying on the floor, but he perks right up if I engage him. I'll keep an eye on him so see if it gets worse. I'm hoping it won't though unsure.gif

Today the class ran the full time so I didn't get to go upstairs. Next week we work Monday, Thursday and Friday for final training; off Tuesday and Wednesday for the holiday. It's too bad I didn't get to start earlier and put in 40 hours as I would have been paid for the holidays by Brooksource. Oh well. So far it seems OK. The building is a tad on the shabby side and space is at a premium. But they only employ about 15-20 seasonal CSRs compared to Republic's 100 plus and do about the same volume. So, I guess they must be doing something right.

Theresa and Tang are well overall. They both greeted me at the door this evening. I hope today has treated you and Noah well and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang, and Theresa. Hope you like your new job and that things will go well there. It has warmed up a bit here and supposed to be in the low 60s today which is nice. I hope you had a nice Christmas with your fur kids. My girls got some toys. They are happy to have me home for a few days. Hope you have a nice weekend with your fur kids! smile.gif

Hi DannysMom. Happy Caturday to you, Miss Mindy and Shelley.

The job is OK so far. Still too soon to tell, but I'm hoping it will be good. Hope your Christmas was good too, it sounds like it. Ours was OK. Stuffed our faces and got a lot of rest. Tang got his bites of turkey too happy.gif He and Theresa are doing well. Still a bit too chilly here for balcony time, but they both had quite a romp this morning inside laugh.gif I hope you and the girls are having a good day and have a pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny now turning cloudy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I do hope and pray that your precious little Tang is doing okay. Both your precious Theresa and little Tang are very precious companions, - - however, your little Tang's health is more delicate and it is natural for you to be concerned about any changes in behaviors / health he exhibits. Please let us know how both your precious companions are doing.

I'm glad your first couple of days went reasonably okay, and that you will have some days off for the holidays, although I know it is without pay. Hopefully you will be able to collect some UE benefits to cover that, but if not it's still nice that you aren't having to struggle with a holiday transportation schedule.

This morning Noah kept me company as I did some much needed vacuuming and dusting. We both were beginning to sneeze so this is always an indication that it is definitely time to do some domestic inside chores. Finished just about the time I needed to get my precious little boy his afternoon meal, and some lunch for me, too. Still have plenty of vacuuming to do, but that will get done sometime next week.

Nothing else much going on at the homestead today. I hope you were able to get your errands and chores done quickly today so that you and your precious companions can enjoy the majority of the day together.

Sunny and less chilly Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope the sneezing stops now that the vacuuming is out of the way. If he is anything like my kids, he probably hid the whole time.

Well, no vomiting last night or today. But I also skipped the can food since they had both been finicky with it the night before. I have no idea why since I started storing in a plastic container it smells better to me than when I kept it in the can. Perhaps when Tang does eat the can food he's wolfing it down and upsetting his tummy. I know I have observed him doing that with dry food prior to an incident. Plus he has exhibited no other diabetic symptoms (I looked them all up online) At this point I think it's hairballs combined with eating too fast, but I will keep a close vigil.

I should be able to collect supplemental UE since I worked so few hours, so that should be OK. I need to consult with them again to be sure of what I need to do about this job since its certainly season temp, not temp to hire. Plus, it's technically not FT since I found out from that tech agent that they schedule us for 37.5 hours (apparently to avoid OT if we work over, cheapskates) It could very well be that my benefits increase with this job since it's seasonal temp and no fault separation.

My errands only took about 1.5 hours since I got an extra tub of litter and other "heavy" items I didn't really need at the time on Monday. This meant I didn't need to use my cart. I still forgot Q-Tips though dry.gif But since I'm not using them like before with Tang's ear so much better, I can probably limp to Monday and get some at Kroger by work. Both Theresa and Tang are well. As I mentioned in my post to DannysMom, they had quite a tear through the apartment early this morning. I needed to get up and give Tang his insulin anyway. Since starting work again, I have returned to sleeping in the bed rather than the sofa which has better facilitated having "snuggle buddies" happy.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy Caturday Evening to you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa. I'm glad to see that you all are doing well. We had a good Christmas, quiet one, the kind I like. Kinda' sad though without our Mickey opening his toy and treats.....I put away some Christmas decorations today, but left a flameless candle lit in the big window.....Next week is busy bill time again, seems like I just finished, time passes so quickly.....I got a letter yesterday excusing me from jury duty, so glad about that.

I wonder what happened to all the animals here. We leave several piles of dry food out and we can tell a little has been eaten. Haven't seen Smokey or Tabbys for a few days. I did see a big black striped and white cat eating. Maybe they're getting some leftovers from neighbor's holiday meals. smile.gif .....There have been lots of Doves and other birds eating seeds out back.

Tracy, I hope you have a good week ahead with your job training. I hope you and furbabies have a happy and healthy New Year!.........Have a good evening with your furbabies.....God Bless...TTFN...

Hello LoveMyMickey. Hope your Caturday was good.

I'm glad that you all had a good (and quiet) Christmas, same here (I know you're missing Mickey, as I am missing Tom this time of year). I'm sure getting the letter excusing you from jury duty is a load off your mind. I'm sorry to hear you have not seen Smokey, Tabby and the other regulars, I hope you are right about them getting leftover treats. It's good that other kitties are aware of your kindness though.

Not much else going on here. Thanks for the well wishes on the job. Theresa and Tang are both well. I hope today is kind to you, hubby, the kitties and last but not least Angel Mickey. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, now sunny rain stopped Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I'm glad you were able to get your errands done quickly yesterday, and hope your laundry time this morning went smoothly.

I can so understand your concerns about your little Tang - - including his "inhaling" his food which most certainly could cause an upset tummy. You are doing everything you can for your precious Theresa and little Tang, my friend - - you are the best Forever Dad. Please let us know how things go.

Employers are now using the Affordable Care Act to justify their hiring practices so that they do not have to provide health insurance benefits. So what you share with us regarding your hours, overtime, etc., does not surprise me in the least. I hope you will be able to get some form of supplemental UE benefits, my friend. Please let us know how things go.

It's a quiet day here at the homestead - - no domestic chores today except for the absolute minimum. The sun is tries to break through the clouds now and then, but the rain has stopped for the most part. I would rather we have good old fashioned wet rain than frozen icy precipitation. Soon it will be time for me to get my precious Noah his afternoon meal.

Hi moon_beam. Sunny and and a bit chilly Sunday greeting to you and your precious Noah. Hoping you are both well.

Actually it's the client (Refund Advantage) that sets the schedule. The agency has little to do with that, in fact they had told me it was 40 hours FT. Funny thing about the insurance they provide, the rep told me it does not meet requirements for the AHCA (how they are getting away with that I do not know) So, I may have to find my own anyway. I doubt I would get any supplemental UE when I work 5 days a week as my take home after taxes will still probably be about 90.00 odd dollars a week more than I am currently getting for full UE (even factoring at 80% as UE does on the deductions) So, I really can't complain in that regard. But with rent up 40.00 and water up 4.00 (part of the rent) per month, and renters insurance now required (15.00/month) I feel like I'm getting nickle and dimed to death with earnings either staying the same or going down (sigh)

Laundry went OK except for the fact that it rained the whole time; not hard not steady. The sun only recently came out. I had the room to myself and no neighborhood thug to deal with (maybe his "lady friend" kicked him out?) It's not especially warm, but the sun is shining bright, so I'm letting Theresa and Tang go in/out for balcony time. Both are well. Tang did throw up in the bathroom last night so I put some of that hairball control/digestion aid paste on his nose and discovered he really likes it smile.gif He licked it hungrily off my finger, so I squeezed some into his can food bowl and set it down. He ate it right up. So far no accidents today (knock wood)

I hope today is being kind to you and Noah and that you both have a wonderful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Thank you for explaining who determines your hours worked, etc.. I'm glad to know that you will be earning more through the job than through UE benefits, and share your frustration with the additional expenses of rental insurance and other increased payments - - it does seem like we can never really "get ahead" of the curve. Having an individual home is no different - - everyone has their hand in the till through services rendered.

Am doing the security updates and scans on the desk top computer today. Noah is sitting beside me watching me type as I'm writing to you. Soon it will be time to start getting some lunch on the stove warming and some lunch in my precious Noah's bowl, too.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Clear and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both doing well.

Yeah, it seems like everybody wants a piece of the pie from poor working stiffs while that good old 1% get a pass (although they are usually the ones taking it from us) Work was OK, but ran longer than usual, plus I stopped off for cotton swabs and a couple other things on the way home, so I was later getting in. Of course Theresa and Tang were both at the door tapping paws with "Just where have you BEEN daddy?"

They are both doing well though. I'm off tomorrow and Wednesday for the holiday, so they will like that. Too bad I don't get paid for it though. Two more days of training then I go upstairs I guess for the tech training (such as that is) Then it's 5 days a week being gone about 12 hours or so a day. That will take some getting use to for the kids I guess.

Not much else happening here. All "kitty" tasks are done. Tang's ear is looking so good I'm down to cleaning it every other day. I hope today has treated you and Noah kindly and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, gusty windy sunny Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I am so thrilled to share your news about your precious Tang's ear. I am soooooo happy that his ear is doing ever so much better, and I know your heart is soaring as well. This is very good news indeed.

And I am so chuckling at your precious Theresa's and little Tang's greeting when you got home yesterday. I can just see them waiting for you at the door with "paws tapping" and the unmistakable expressions, "what took you so long to get home?" And then the elation - - "DADDY'S HOME!!! YEA!!"

I do so understand your financial concerns, and not having paid time off does have its challenges down the road when bills need to be paid, groceries purchased, transportation provided, etc.. However, the upside is that you DO have a job, and this time with your precious Theresa and little Tang is a bonus - - it is time that can never be replaced. Being able to share these days with your precious companions is a blessing, and I know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will enjoy them to your hearts' content.

The wind is blowing quite gustily here which neither my precious Noah nor I really like much. But the sun is shining brightly and Noah is thoroughly enjoying the sunbeams which brings a smile to my heart to see him feeling sooo good and happy.

My friend, I wish you and your precious Theresa and little Tang a safe and enjoyable New Year celebration, and send each of you my sincerest hopes that 2014 will be one of good health, much happiness, and provision for all your needs.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hi moon_beam. Sunny and cool New Year's Eve greetings to you and your precious Noah on what may be my last post here of 2013. I hope you are both well, and I'm glad Noah has sunbeams to enjoy.

Yes, I do have a job for how ever long it lasts. It's a leg up financially when I need it, and that is always a blessing. But, I'm not going to get my hopes up like I did at Republic. Yes I did a great job and got some accolades, but no permanent posting. So, I will do what I can with what I have been presented with. Perhaps if I do a good job, they will keep me a little longer than Republic did.

Today has been low key with me, Theresa and Tang. She cuddled me on the couch, and he laid on the arm of the sofa behind my head. This morning I fussed at him for something stupid about the litter box (I think) and later in the day, he jumped on the sofa arm and grabbed my head and licked my hair, and then got on my chest and nuzzled me like crazy. I guess his way of saying "I'm sorry" He's such a sensitive soul, but I assured him just because I talk "smack" when I get irritated he will ALWAYS have a home with me and that I love him and his big sis.

It's getting time to take care of the evening "kitty" chores before settling in. I hope today has treated you and Noah kindly, and that you both have a pleasant evening and happy and prosperous new year. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny New Year 2014 greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Another year has begun. Resumed my inside domestic chores today - - vacuuming and dusting. It never ceases to amaze me how much grit one kitty and one human can produce - - mostly MY grit I would surmise from the cleaning.

Noah has had his lunch and is enjoying the sunbeams through the window next to the bed. I'm glad the daylight is lasting just a little bit longer each day now. Just 2.5 months and spring will once again appear on the calendar. I am soooo looking forward to spring.

I hope you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are enjoying this first day of the new year together, my friend, and that it will be the beginning of many good things for you and your precious companions. As always, I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny New Year greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad he has sunbeams in which to bask again today. I too am sometimes amazed how much dirt one human and 2 kitties can generate.

A new year is upon us. I am hoping 2014 will bring more positive change from the previous year(s) But, at this point, I'll take what ever small "victories" I can get. Theresa and Tang are both well, and it's been a pretty laid back day for us all. At one point I had him at my head (just like in the video I posted) and her snuggled next to my chest; both purring like buzz saws happy.gif

Tomorrow starts the final days of training/testing before I go upstairs to what ever my duties will entail for the next few months or so. So, now I need to get my "kitty" chores etc done so we can all get a good night's sleep. I hope today has been kind to you and your precious Noah, and that you both have a wonderful evening and a prosperous new year. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm so glad you and your precious Theresa and little Tang had a very enjoyable day together yesterday. It has been quite a number of years since you and your precious companions have been able to enjoy the holidays together - - since you have normally been working these days. This year you have had the benefit of "both worlds" - - a job that has provided you this special opportunity to spend the holidays with your precious companions. Of course the bonus would have been if you were provided paid time off - - but at least you didn't have to struggle with a "holiday" commute schedule.

Not a great deal happening here today. It is cloudy with the forecast of rain at some point in time today, so no sunbeams for my precious Noah to enjoy. He is doing well despite the gloomies outside - - he is sitting next to me watching me type as I'm writing to you.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Very cold, windy and snowy greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Yes it was nice not to have to work the holidays this year even though I didn't get paid for it. I was not greeted right away tonight (perhaps they thought is going to be like Monday) But both Theresa and Tang came around shortly for some attention. They both seem to be doing quite well. I got a reminder from Banfield that it's time for Tang's checkup soon, so Theresa's can't be far behind. I need to call and find out the next Sunday Dr. Mills works I guess.

Work was fine, but for the wind and snow on the commute home. Luckily it didn't impede either of my buses schedules. Tomorrow is a 1/2 day of taking "live" calls in the training room. Should be a novelty for me as I won't be taking CSR calls when I go upstairs. I'll probably finish the day shadowing somebody in tech. So far my schedule is 9-5 M-F which works out pretty well commute wise. I have already been told I work the fist Saturday we are open (01/25) and that they will work with me on the bus schedule; so may not have to put in a full day after all.

Not much else going on here, kitty chores are done. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blessed evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, frigid blustery T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well, staying warm, and in good spirits.

It's always wonderful to share your news that your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing well, and hope you will be able to schedule their wellness check up with Dr. Mills. Please let us know how things go. And I'm very glad to know your current employer will work with you on your Saturday, 1/25, transportation schedule. Hopefully the temps will be warmer that day for your commute.

The wind really howled here last night and into the early morning hours, but have calmed considerably over the afternoon - - although they continue to be quite blustery. Temps are only in the upper 20's here, but I imagine to folks further north and west 20 degrees would feel like a tropical heat wave. I cannot imagine 40 degree below zero temps - - not factoring in the wind chill value.

Noah is doing well. He is sprucing up a bit after his lunch in preparation for his afternoon nap on his lamb's wool cushion in front of the window next to the bed.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hi moon_beam. Very cold TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. Glad to hear he is well and hope you are also.

I hear you on the cold. By the early part of next week we are looking at single digits for the high, and possibly snow/rain mix Sunday blink.gif I'm so not looking forward to that.

Work was OK, we each took at least one live call in the training room. Finished about 2:00, so I went up to shadow a tech, made sure I could log in up there, looked over the manual and KB docs, etc. I also have to clock in and out of their system per their agreement with Brooksource. So I had to get that squared away. Ready to start next week 9-5.

I got home when expected tonight, but had no greeters. Tang finally came around once he heard me, and I found Theresa snuggled up on the dirty laundry bin (I guess it smells like her daddy?) and she demanded attention after a good stretch. She may be a senior, but she's still my little girl wub.gif I don't think the vet visit will be possible this weekend with the weather that's coming, but I am going to try to get it in before the end of this month or beginning of next; just waiting to get a few "real" paychecks under my belt.

Not much else going on. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny but very chilly Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I can imagine how disappointed you were not having a "greeting party" at the door when you arrived home last night. Still, when they realized that daddy WAS home, they let you know they were happy to see you. I hope if you had any errands to do today that you have been able to get them done quickly so that you and your precious companions can enjoy the majority of today together.

Started working on my shred box for a little while until the shredder overheated and automatically shut down. Still have some left to do - - at another time.

My precious Noah is doing well. With the frigid arctic temps we are having - - thankfully without the accompanying snow / ice - - he has been burrowing into the soft throws I lay over him to keep warm. He likes to snuggle next to me at night on the right side of the bed - - which is on the open floor side of the bed. It's a good thing I'm a light sleeper as in the middle of the night I heard a "thud" and immediately woke up. I felt for Noah next to me but he wasn't there. It took me a couple of minutes to realize that something wasn't "right" - - so I felt the floor next to the bed and there he was - - wrapped like a mummy in his fleece throw. He must have tried turning over on the bed and ended up rolling off the bed. Well I immediately unwrapped him, picked him up and hugged him, and then we settled back down on the bed together. I covered him back up with the soft throw, and the rest of the night was peaceful. My poor little baby boy. Today he has been wanting more cuddles which I am very happy to oblige.

Lunch has been served and he is on his lamb's wool cushion in front of the window next to the bed settled into his afternoon nap. The sunbeams are shining bright and cheery but doing little to warm up the house today. I am sooo not looking forward to the next arctic blast to be ushered in beginning tomorrow.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Chilly, but sunny and mild Caturday greetings to you and you precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is well, bu sorry to hear he took a spill out of the bed. I'm a restless sleeper myself and sometimes as a result I will end up rolling into Theresa or Tang as they tend to lay on either side of me in the bed, especially on a cold night. Glad to hear it all turned out OK though.

Errands were a bit problematic today. I have a 1/2 tub of litter that would probably last until next weekend, but I wanted to get another one to be safe. When I examined my cart, I saw that where the tire was broken it had started to pull away from each end in the duct tape. I tried to push it together, but it wouldn't budge and neither would it if I tried to pull it apart. So, I taped it up some more and went on my way to the library to return/drop off books and back down to Save a Lot/Dollar Tree. Making my way to the light to cross the street to head home, I heard a funny noise and discovered the tire pulled apart enough to come off the wheel ohmy.gif At this point a poor soul of a man asked if I could help him get something to eat; I had a dollar and some change on me, but trying to deal with the cart I said I didn't have anything; looking back, I now feel bad about it unsure.gif I had the good sense to pack the roll of tape with me, so I proceeded to put the tire back on as best I could and triple tapped all the way around on each of the holes around the wheel. I made it home OK and it seems OK for laundry tomorrow, but that's about it. Looks like I'll be getting a new one next week at Save a Lot (sigh) Poor thing went before it's time because of a careless bus driver (which is why I'm leery of taking it on the bus now)

Theresa and Tang are both well. I tried to see if they wanted some balcony time when I got home as it was 40 and sunny, but no takers. Starting tomorrow afternoon/evening an arctic blast of air is supposed to move through with rain and snow possible giving way to single digits Monday (brr) I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. Hi Tracy,

Happy Caturday Evening to you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa. I'm sorry about the trouble with your cart. I made it to Kroger this morning to get supplies before the artic blast. A lot of other people had the same idea. The temperature was a little better, but that wind was brutal in the parking lot, also here at home.

The regular kitties are still showing up. Tabby1 came by after I got home, so I gave him some canned food. I hope they make it during the artic blast we're gonna' get Mon. and Tues. I don't know where they go after they eat. We have 2 shelters here but they never use them.

Tracy, I wish you well on your new job and I hope you enjoy it. I hope this new year brings you and furbabies many blessings.
Have a pleasant and cozy evening with your furbabies and give them a special pat for me.......God Bless......TTFN...

Hi LoveMyMickey. I hope you all had a good Caturday evening.

I'm glad the regular kitties still come around for your generous assistance. I too hope they have someplace warm to stay, or at least make use of your shelters. I fear we may lose some of our poor waifs to this coming cold snap sad.gif I'm filled with equal amounts of anger and sadness when I see them around and wish I could do more for them.

I fully expected Save a Lot to be a zoo and/or be cleaned out, but that was far from the case (luckily) I'm betting the Kroger on Outer Loop was not the same though. I managed to get what I needed; even got a good deal on a 4 LB pre-cooked buffet ham for 5.99. I'll probably freeze 1/2 of it for later; glad I remembered to get freezer zip lock bags.

Princess Theresa and Sgt Tang are both well. I hope today will be kind to you folks and that you have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hello moon_beam. Cool and Rainy greetings to you and Noah. I hope you are both well.

The rain normally would not bother me, but with the temps dropping to sub zero by morning and throughout the next day or so. That parking lot (not to mention the streets) are going to be a solid sheet of ice by morning unsure.gif I'm getting up and leaving 30 minutes early tomorrow just in case there are any problems with the buses. As I said in my post to LoveMyMickey, I fear we will lose some of our homeless waifs before it's over sad.gif

Laundry went fine with no interference or issues with the machines. A certain someone seems to be gone for good, and I got my paper by 7:00. Theresa and Tang are well and have done their best to cuddle with me today. I woke up from a nap a little while ago from a bad dream about try as I might, not being able to get to work. I hope that's not an omen.

I hope today has treated you and Noah kindly and that you both have a peaceful and cozy evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, blustery sunny cold Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I hope your travels to work this morning went smoothly, my friend. Since this was a concern on your mind, I hope your nightmare yesterday was just your mind dealing with your fears - - rather than a premonition.

I made a quick errand to the bank and stopped off at a plumbing store to finally get a new hand held shower head for my shower. The one I have is 16 years old and the water just dribbles out of the holes now - - despite my best efforts to clear them. The plumbing store has it on order and it should be delivered tomorrow.

Noah is doing well. He wasn't happy with my leaving to do errands, but I was back within the hour, and he was at the door eagerly greeting me when I got back home. I do not want to go out tomorrow when temps are forecasted to be in the teens and wind chils at zero or below. The temps are supposed to moderate come Wednesday, and I do need to make an errand into town to get more food for Noah from the vet.

Otherwise, not much else happening. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Bitterly cold (zero with wind chill at 20 below) and windy greetings to you and Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad you were able get your shower head ordered and back home to your little man in a timely manner.

It turns out my bad dream was just my fear in overdrive. We lucked out that the rain ended before the massive temperature dip, there was some icy spots but they were visible and avoidable. Plus there were men salting the parking lot and walkways as I was making my way out. Both buses were no more than a few minutes late and I got to the office with plenty of time to spare. I equally lucked out going home getting downtown in time for the 5:45 w/o having to wait on the 6:15.

Work itself was OK, but I found out the person I was shadowing is married to a guy I worked with across the street at TWC. That was a bit awkward unsure.gif But she was still pretty nice; I engaged her asking after their Tabby cat Bacon who'd had similar surgery to Tang's a while back. They are bringing more people in and the department seems to be filling out.

Theresa and Tang were both patiently waiting for me at the door upon my return, both sniffing my hands and each other happy.gif Theresa insisted I pick her up for "daddy hugs" I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Brrrrrrrrr!!!!! We got a tiny bit of snow before bedtime last night and the wind dried the driveways and roads. I think the coldest today was 0 with low wind chill. Our mayor was worried that the power would go out and said not to use too many appliances. So far, so good, and I hope our furnace holds up.

As cold as it was last night all the food on the carport was gone this morning. That means cats, bandits, and whatever came by. Even a little opposum comes by sometimes. After we put food out this morning I saw Smokey eating and then left. Then some more food disappeared today. I put 5 big piles of dry food out for tonight. I feel like the kitties will be okay.

I'm glad your travels and work went well today. And I'm glad your furbabies are doing well. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers......I hope you all stay warm and cozy tonight and have a good rest of the week....God Bless...TTFN.
