Hi LoveMyMickey.

BRRRR indeed! Highest we got today was 2 with wind chill 20 below blink.gif Same here on the wind drying things up - but it sure didn't help in terms of the bitter cold. I'm glad your neighborhood fur populace came by for food and seem to have found decent shelter. I sure was dreading seeing the worst when I got home this evening. But the food I left out yesterday was pretty much gone and I didn't see any evidence of the cold taking any waifs from this world. So, I put out some more food. My prayers are with them as are they with yours.

I hope you, hubby and they had a good day and and even better evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, frigid blustery sunny Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm glad to know your travels to and from work yesterday went well, and hope the same is true for you today as the bitter cold weather continues.

It is a small world indeed. It doesn't surprise me that you have "bumped elbows" with a spouse of someone you used to work with at another employer. Just be yourself, Tracy. It would be nice if, when all is said and done with hiring and training, that you could find a permanent place where you are now - - if this is what you would want. Please let us know how things go, my friend.

It is very cold here today. Noah and I are snuggling close to one another today. The new shower head was delivered this morning and is installed. I turned the water on and its nice to have an actual stream of water coming out of all of the holes. Usually I check the mailbox on Tuesdays, but think I will wait until tomorrow when the temps are supposed to be warmer.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how each of you are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Peace and blessings,

Hi moon_beam. Sunny and cold (but getting warmer) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad to hear your shower head has arrived and is working well. I know what you mean about the dribble. I had mine replaced by my maintenance person because I was getting alternate blasts of hot/cold water, and it's a "water saver" - right dry.gif Didn't really fix the problem; I'll probably put the old one back on at some point.

I got lucky in my travels again today, we'll see how long that lasts. It does not really matter whether I'd want to be a full time employee of this company. It was made clear this is seasonal with virtually 0 chance of hire. Even the "leads" (including the woman I mentioned) are seasonal. The whole company only has about 20 FT employees year round and that includes mostly sales and the ownership. So, I'm not even going to let my brain go there. It is what it is: 100.00 a week more than unemployment payments. Hopefully I can use it to try to get ahead a little.

Poor Tang does not seem to feel good as he threw up after I got in. He'd stopped for several days, and then it just popped back up. He didn't seem to want any can food (neither did Theresa) So I offered him some hairball/digestion paste to lick off my fingers which he seemed to like. Just a little while ago I thought I saw Theresa clawing the arm of the sofa, but then I heard hissing. Seems she had backed Tang behind the little end table between it and the chair - and she was taking some nasty swipes at him ohmy.gif I let her know that picking on her brother who does not feel good is NOT cool. Usually it's the other way around (sigh) Other than that, both are doing reasonably well.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, warmer cold sunny Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious doing well and in good spirits.

My friend, I do so understand your concern about your precious little Tang. I hope it is just a furball he is trying to get rid off and nothing more sinister brewing. If he's got a furball in his tummy he won't feel like eating, and the food he does eat may get "backed up" as it will be obstructed in the process of flowing naturally through the digestive tract. Hopefully the digestion paste will help. Please let us know how he's doing, my friend.

I'm glad you know for a certainty this job is just a temporary seasonal one - - that management is not holding out a "teaser" to you only to pull it away down the road. Hopefully your agent is already looking for another job possibility for you so that you can avoid the stress of unemployment when this assignment is over with. Please let us know how things go.

My precious little boy woke up early this morning with an upset tummy, too - - which turned out to be due to a furball as well. He ate his breakfast with enthusiasm this morning, and he is a happy little boy with the warmer sunbeams today through the windows.

Took a walk to the mailbox around Noon - - soo glad I waited as there was no mail in the mailbox from Monday and yesterday. Many schools opened 2 hours late this morning, but the schools in my county remained closed today. Tomorrow everything should be back to normal schedules so I will make my trek into town tomorrow for Noah's food, and I will need to get more gas in the car as well - - which should not be so frigid standing at the pumps tomorrow.

Hi moon_beam. Cloudy, but finally above freezing greetings to you and You precious Noah. Sorry to hear he had an upset tummy too. but glad he is doing better.

Tang seems to be doing better today. He and Theresa will be getting check ups before too long anyway. They were none too pleased as I got in late tonight. Travels were just not on my side today. The express bus from downtown to work was 30 minutes late due to a break down (I was never so glad for the fact it drops me off 40 minutes ahead of my shift when on time) Coming home, the interstate was a parking lot and I totally missed my 5:45 connection. I barely had time to get the 6:15, and had to use the restroom the whole time blink.gif I do hope tomorrow is better.

At work I have been making outbound call backs (email bounce backs, password reset assist, etc.) and listening to inbound calls via Y jack. Not too bad so far. Not much else to report. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, warmer sunny Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm so glad to know that your precious little boy is doing better, and am keeping both your precious little girl and boy in my thoughts and prayers that their check ups will show everything is okay. Please let us know how things go.

I'm sorry your travels yesterday were frustrating, and like you hope today's will be a major improvement. Look forward to knowing how your connections go today.

Had a few errands to do today, one of them picking up more food for my precious Noah at the vet, and getting some gas in the car. I thought I would try a station that is close to the vet hospital. However, the attendant manning the checkout REFUSED to activate the pump for me - - not one but TWICE. She claimed that all the pumps were "prepaid" - - meaning that customers had to pay for their purchase BEFORE they pumped the gas. I told her since I did not know how much gas I would need I could not prepay. She again REFUSED to activate the pump for me. So I had to drive across town to another station to get gas in the car - - this time without experiencing any problems. So, when I got home I called the gasoline company and placed a complaint against the gas station and the attendant. I doubt anything will come of it, but I know now not to use that particular station again. Otherwise, the errands were done and I was glad to get back home to my precious little boy who was eagerly awaiting my arrival.

Temps are just in the 50's today - - but there is still a nip in the air letting me know that it's still winter. I hope you are being able to stay warm in your travels, my friend.

Noah has had his lunch, and the timer on the stove is letting me know my lunch is ready now.

Hello moon_beam. A little warmer but wet greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience at the gas station. Sadly, many stations are going that way due to theft. I'm glad you were able to get better service at another station though.

Travels were a little better today. My first bus was right on time this morning, but my second was about 10 minutes late. But that still gave me 30 minutes leeway. I hope it's on time tomorrow as I have to deposit my last paper paycheck at the ATM before DD kicks in next week and hit the Kroger for vitamins and herbal remedies. On the way home It looked like I was inside a snow globe blink.gif but it cleared away by the time I got downtown. I didn't get the 5:45 again but I had an adequate amount of time to use the restroom before the 6:15; which was 8 minutes late but made up its time well enough.

Work was OK with more OB calls (today reminding tax preps do go through "getting started" on the web site) Next week I'm supposed to start with inbound - wish me luck unsure.gif

Theresa and Tang met me at the door. Tang did throw up again after I posted last night (sigh) But he also wolfed down a fair portion of dry food just before. I just don't know why he does that. I'll let you know how they both do when I'm able to get them in for check ups.

I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, soggy TGIF greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad your bus connections yesterday were better than Wednesday's - - this is always helpful when the weather is less than ideal for commuting. Inbound calls usually are more time consuming and can be more difficult to handle than outbound calls. Please let us know how things go for you, my friend.

I'm sorry your little boy is having digestive challenges. You probably are already trying this - - you may to give him smaller portions of dry food say at 20 to 30 minute intervals between portions. As you know, dry food expands when it hits the digestive tract - - it's sort of like a sponge that inflates when it absorbs water. So if he wolfs down his food, pieces of the dry food can get stuck in his esophagus - - just like with people who eat too fast - - or too much food is going into his tummy at one time for him to be able to comfortably digest and process it - - hence the regurgitation in both instances. I know you already know this is something you will definitely want to include on your list to talk to Dr. Harris about when you take your precious little Tang in for his check up. Your little Tang is in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how he's doing.

It is a rainy day here with rain forecasted for tonight and tomorrow. We were under an ice / freezing rain warning for last night and early this morning, but as near as I can tell the icy stuff never materialized - - which is fine with me. I'm so glad I did my errands yesterday when the weather was dry and sunny.

Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and is curled up in front of the space heater in the kitchen area. The timer on the stove is letting me know that my lunch is now ready so I will get this off to you.

Hello moon_beam. Breezy but warmer TGIF greetings to you and you precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is well and hope you are too.

I think what I'm going to try with the food is putting less in the bowl each time, I'm not sure this will help but I'm going to try. Speaking of dry over wet, I'm at my wits end over the wet. The can food in the plastic container is hit and miss at best as to if they will eat it. Since I needed to swing by the Kroger on the way to work this morning, I picked up a few pouches of tuna filets in gravy. Tang started to eat it, but quit after licking up all the gray and eating only a few bites. Theresa turned her nose up at it completely (sigh) I must have the 2 most finicky cats in the world. I'm not sure if Dr. Harris is still at that office, but I'd be fine with that. I'm hoping Dr. Mills still comes out there since we have been with him so long, and he did Tang's surgery.

I actually started taking inbound calls today. We are not supposed to have access to the tool to connect to the customer's PC until it's decided we know what we are doing, but the manager let me have it right off. I'm taking both these things as a sign of confidence from him. I also found out if we get a call right at or a minute before our end of shift, it's OK to hit log out and let it roll to another agent or a call back sheet; apparently OT is something they like to avoid and that's good for getting my bus.

I lucked out and got the earlier bus home from downtown, but only because it was late. I'll take it any day though. Both Theresa and Tang met me at the door with loving greetings; both are doing well. I think they know tomorrow is Caturday as wound up as they are happy.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you, Tang and Theresa. I hope you and your furkids are all well and having a good weekend. It is quite warm here today, in the 60s, but some rain. I can so relate to your problems with finicky eaters. I tried so many canned foods with my girls, and they snubbed most of them. Have you tried the Friskies pate type foods? They might like those.

Mindy is still having some problems with feline acne, but the spot under her chin is healing up. My girls both snuggled with me on the bed last night. Mindy was next to my pillow, and Shelley by my legs. Mindy snuck up so quietly that I didn't even know she was there until I moved my hand touched her fur. They are happy to have me home today.

Hi, Tracy, rainy soggy damp chilly Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Thank you so much for sharing the good news about your not having to do overtime. I was wondering if you would be responsible for taking a call just minutes / seconds before it was time for you to leave. I know this takes a concern off your mind in being able to get home to your precious companions.

I'm sorry your precious Theresa and Tang are being so finicky about their canned food. This is frustrating - - and can be expensive. Perhaps if you save your receipts you can return the unopened cans for a refund. I hope trying the smaller portions of the dry food will help. Please let us know how things go, my friend. And I hope you will be able to get an appointment with either Dr. Mills / Dr. Harris - - for I know you trust these veterinarians.

Not a lot of motivation here today to do much of anything. It's a good day to just curl up with my precious little boy and watch TV. Soon it will be time to fix lunch for my precious Noah, and get some veggies on the stove warming for me. I hope if you have any errands to do today that you will be able to get them accomplished quickly so that you and your precious companions can enjoy the majority of today together.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hi DannysMom. Happy Caturday to you, Miss Mindy and Shelley as well.

It started out fairly warm today at 54, but has dropped to 44 since with clouds and wind. I'm sorry to hear Mindy is having difficulty, but glad her chin is doing better. It's nice they have been snuggled up with you.

Actually it's the Friskies pate that I had been feeding them. First in the standard size can, then the bigger ones they have at Dollar Tree. As you may have seen in my posts I figured maybe it was storing in the can that caused it, so I switched to plastic containers. Perhaps I will go back to the smaller cans in the plastic container so that it's not in the fridge as long. Tang was in the kitchen later in the evening begging for treats (as usual) So I put out some more tuna filets and he ate them right up. I think he didn't eat them earlier because I had opened the doors to the balcony as it was a nice night.

I hope you and the girls have had a good day and that your evening is even better. TTFN

Hi moon_beam. Happy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

You can read up in my post to DannysMom about the wet food. Today is the first day of smaller portions of dry. We will see how that goes. I got a message on my cell from the nice lady at Banfield (the one who has been there since I started with Tom in 2005, and hooked me up with Tang) She asked how we all were doing with genuine interest and concern. She told me that Dr. Mills will be there next Saturday and that he has a meeting from 8-9 which could run over. So, to be safe, she suggested a 10:00 appointment. I was going to run out that way today just to pick up my RX, but I have enough for until then, so I called Kroger and asked them to hold it.

All of that being the case, I decided it would be a good idea to stay close to home and get an extra tub of litter to stock up as Save a Lot has the cheapest scooping type at 3.99 for a 14 LB tub. I got a new shopping cart while I was there too and it only rang up as 15.00. Which was good because the last one was 16.99. Let us hope it lasts a while. If I ever take it on the bus again, I will insist the driver lower the entrance/exit before I get off.

Not much else going on. Tang has cuddled with me a little, but Theresa not so much. Lately she has taken to making herself a spot in the laundry basket of yet to be washed clothes. I was concerned at first but then I remembered she does this when it starts to get cold, and the last 2 winters have been very mild compared to this one. But I will make the my inquiries to Dr. Mills next week, I'll let you know how they do. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy "much better weather" Caturday to you, Sgt. Tang, and Princess Theresa. We survived that cold weather with no problems, thank the Good Lord. I read in our newspaper that the heating companies and plumbers were really busy all over town. A lot of people had busted water pipes. We always leave a drip in one. I read there is another cold blast forming but the temps will be above zero.

We worried about the kitties, but they all have been back although I haven't seen Tabby1. But they come and go so much during the day that I might not have seen him.

I hope Tang and Theresa get a good report at the vet. I hope Tang's does bettter with his eating. You all have a peaceful and cozy evening and have a good work week. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers.....God Bless....TTFN.....

Hello LoveMyMickey and I hope you folks had a good Caturday too.

It's good the kitties made it through that awful cold snap and are still coming around for your kind hospitality, although I'm sorry you have not seen Tabby1. I hope he/she's OK unsure.gif I'm not sure about mine since I don't usually get a very good look at them, but the food keeps getting eaten so that's good I suppose.

Theresa and Tang are well, thanks for the good wishes on their check up. I hope you, hubby and the kitties are well, and that Angel Mickey is always watching over you all. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny gusty Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. It is always a blessing sharing your news how you and your precious fur tribe are doing.

So glad you were able to get your errands run yesterday which included getting a new cart - - and at a discount from the previous one, which is always helpful. Carts on buses can be tricky for sure, and I hope the bus driver will be helpful to you in the future. Hope your laundry time this morning went smoothly.

The wind is gusty again today but the sunbeams are plentiful which helps to warm the spirit. My precious Noah is sitting in front of the big door windows watching the leaves rise and fall in the wind. Soon it will be time to fix his lunch for him.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hi moon_beam. Sunny and warmer (for now) Sunday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well and I'm glad he had sunbeams in which to bask today smile.gif

Laundry went fine with no issues or interference, although one of my favorite dryers was out of order. But I had 2 other known good ones to work with. As I was coming back from the laundry room the first time a certain white Caddy came zipping by, but went on the the end of the property. Perhaps he has a new "friend/customer" As long as he stays far away from my area.

We had a bit of a scare last night making a late supper. I was pre-heating the oven and a few minutes later heard a loud *POP* I looked down to see the oven more illuminated than it should have been. Sure enough, the heating element was on fire ohmy.gif I turned the unit off immediately, but not before it set off the smoke detector. It died out after making it's way from one end of the element to the other and breaking it in 3 places. This is the 4th time it's happened. When I call tomorrow I'm going to tell them I'm fine with it being repaired (again) in the short term, but after 10 years and all those rent hikes, I want a new unit! Most of what I got at the store is meant for oven prep too (sigh) I suppose I can use the toaster oven on a smaller scale, but it's not in top form and takes 2 to 3 times longer to cook stuff.

It's been a laid back day otherwise. Theresa and Tang are both well and have snuggled with me on the sofa at one time or another. Time to get them taken care of and settled in. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, was sunny now cloudy chilly Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

WOW - - I can imagine what an unwelcome surprise it was having your oven "blow up"!! Am I right in surmising that the smoke detector is not connected to a monitoring station that would alert the fire department. I'm SOOOO GLAD you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are safe - - that the apartment did not catch fire. I hope you are able to get a new stove, my friend. Please let us know how things go.

I worked on financials and my tax information for my tax preparer today. All I need now is my year end mortgage interest statement and then I can make an appointment to see him. I think he is right from what he told me last year that I won't need to file a tax return this year, but I'd rather he look at my financials and tell me rather than me make an assumption - - and have it turn out to be a wrong assumption. I also need to keep a watch on what our elected officials do regarding the Affordable Care Act. I'm hoping my tax preparer will be able to tell me I would be eligible for the discounts on an ACA policy for 2015.

Noah is doing well. He is on his lamb's wool cushion keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. Still have the lunch dishes to do.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Rainy day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad to hear he is well, and hope you are too.

The smoke detector is not connected to any monitoring system that I'm aware of, the management is too cheap for that. Speaking of which, when I came home I still had the same oven, with the heating element replaced, and the old broken one in a plastic bag on my counter. The door hanger said "Get model number off stove, replaced" Now, if that means he replaced the heating element as a short term fix with the intent of replacing the unit long term? I do not know. But I am going call and find out tomorrow. Because if they refuse, I will simply tell them I can call the fire marshal's office and have one of their inspectors determine if it's a fire hazard, which I feel it is. I seriously doubt I've had 3 bad heating elements in a row. Plus, if they try to kick me out or refuse to renew my lease as retaliation, it's illegal - I looked it up.

Theresa and Tang seem no worse for wear from the repairmen being here and greeted me at the door. I do hope your tax situation works out to your satisfaction, and you are able to get/keep health insurance that works for you.

Not much else to report. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, clearing somewhat sunny Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I don't blame you for wanting to get a "second opinion" on the safety of your oven. You are very diligent in following up to know what management will be doing in terms of replacing the stove. Please let us know how things go.

So glad your precious Theresa and little Tang greeted you at the door when you arrived home yesterday. I know they are always glad to have their daddy home safe and sound.

Thank you for the good wishes on my taxes and health insurance coverage. I have been reading that some of the companies, including Humana, who have been offering Medicare Advantage plans are seriously considering dropping this coverage because of changes in - - PROFITABILITY - - from the changes our elected officials legislate in how Medicare benefits and costs are paid and managed. There is now a disreputable hospital practice in admitting Medicare patients for "monitoring" instead of as "in patient" which puts the burden on the patients for paying a larger hospital bill and diminishing the cost paid out by Medicare.

Not a lot happening here today. The rain showers are moving out of the area with the sun playing hide and seek. Noah is eagerly anticipating his lunch, which I will start getting ready for him after I get this sent to you.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I can understand your frustration with Medicare, I hope you are able to work out something that works for you. I have always felt medicine should never be any sort of "for profit" undertaking (no pun intended) but what do I know?

Well, I called about the oven and was told flat out they are only obligated to replace the damaged parts, and get this, I was told "Furthermore there is no record in your account of this ever happening before" So, now it's my fault they don't keep good records? I checked various sources and found out trying to fight them would be fairly useless in the long run. But I also found out that even if what ever is defective in the unit that's burning out the heating element, the chances of it turning on by itself are slim to none. I guess that makes me feel safer, but it's still galling after living here over 10 years (sigh)

Work is, well, work. not really good or bad, but it's a decent paycheck for now. The commute is working out OK I suppose. I had greeters at the door when I got home tonight and both Princess Theresa and Sgt. Tang seem well and decent spirits. Their evening needs have been seen to and now time to settle in for the night. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sometimes sunny Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Sorry about the stove issue. I'm so glad you have checked into the safety of the stove in regards to the probability of it turning on by itself - - especially when you are not home. That had me concerned, and I'm very glad to know the stove is not a safety hazard.

I'm glad the commute to / from work is "doable", and that the work itself is more or less "benign." The paycheck is the primary focus.

I received my mortgage interest statement online today, made the finishing touches to my financial tax worksheet that I provide to my tax preparer, and went to print it out on my HP printer - - only to have it not print in black ink. NOTHING I did via the "troubleshooting" made any difference. To say I am a bit on the miffed side is putting it mildly. So, I have printed it off on my black toner Canon - - which needs a major cleaning. I went online to see if I could find a "remedy" to the HP issue and discovered other people have had a similar situation with their various HP printers as well - - with some of the problems being resolved and some no. Don't know what I'm going to do at this point in time. I really am technology "challenged" - - and it is frustrating. However, if this is the worst life gets I'm getting off easy.

The good news is that my precious Noah is doing well. HIS well being is THE MOST IMPORTANT to me. He is on his lamb's wool cushion taking his afternoon nap as I'm writing to you.

Hi moon_beam. Cold with flurries greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm very glad to hear he is well and hope you are too.

It's good you got your tax stuff together, but I'm sorry to hear about the HP. Is it not printing at all, or only printing in color? Perhaps the HP web site might help? I do hope you can get it cleared up.

Yeah, I'm still steamed about the oven, but at least I can cook again w/o safety issues; until it happens again of course. I wonder if this repair will be "forgotten" as well? I really do depend on it and the toaster oven. I really don't care for microwaved fare.

I lucked out getting home as the 5:45 bus out my way was late. Tang greeted me at the door (as always) And I found Miss Theresa curled up in the laundry basket (bless her heart) Putting food out for the waifs I was treated to a rare sight: Two of the kitties were hiding under a car by the dumpster actually watching me. As soon as I set the food down, they made a beeline for it. It's nice to know it's being eaten, but it saddens me to see them in that fix.

Not much else to report. I hope today was kind to you and your precious Noah and that you both have a great evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny cold Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad you are back in "cooking order", and like you, do not have a microwave in my kitchen either. And I'm so glad you were able to see some kitties waiting patiently for your provisions - - and kindness.

The HP will print color but will not print with the black ink - - so any print that is black will not print. I went through the "fix" processes again today, researching "fixes" online - - but nothing has worked. My Canon laser printer / copier / scanner has also started printing black streaks, and the cleaning instructions per the manual haven't worked. Sooooo - - I have found a local printer / copier business that works on both types of machines and will be taking them in for professional service next week. I'll start with my Canon because that's my work horse and I use it the most frequently. Next month I'll take my HP, and hope it can be fixed, as I'm not really looking forward to the prospects of having to purchase another color printer. I have already checked out new printers and haven't found an HP printer that has the options this printer has. This "high technology" stuff just frustrates the heck out of me.

Noah is doing well. He's curled up on his lamb's wool cushion taking his afternoon nap as I'm writing to you. Still have the lunch dishes to do and a trek to the mailbox to make later on.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad he is well and hope you are too.

I'm sorry you still have not been able to settle your printer issues. The Canon probably just needs cleaned like you say. Perhaps the HP needs an update of the drivers. Can your computer guru look at it? I'd hate to see you spend money on a printer if it's not the issue. Please let me know how it goes.

I actually do have a microwave - had the thing since 2000 and it's still kicking. I just don't much care for the taste of food that's been "nuked" With my oven, some foil, and low fat cooking spray I can prepare many things that are nice and crispy without all the fat and fuss of frying.

Work was OK. I got bumped down one more seat to make way for 3 new guys coming out of training (putting them in the "hot seats" closer to the "leads") The manager said I was ready - what ever that means. I guess it did mean he isn't putting a lot of stock in the female lead that went and "told" on me because I decided that a customer had a printer issue when in addition to test checks, he could not print test pages or Word docs, and that the printer said "replace toner cartridge" Apparently this company is big on "above and beyond" that gets them all the buzz at trade shows. Well, all it will take is one "mistake" that fries a customer's equipment that will make THAT the talk of the trade shows. Eh, what do I care, it's seasonal. I guess the "returnees" get territorial.

Theresa and Tang are doing well and have full bellies happy.gif Theresa is curled up on the fleece blanket on the floor in front of her favorite heater wub.gif I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, clouds replacing sunshine T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I am so smiling at your precious Theresa curling up in front of her favorite heater. She knows you turn it on just for her. And it's always a blessing sharing your news that your precious Tang is doing well, too.

Sounds like the seats closer to the supervisor are for those who need more intense supervision - - like new trainees "graduating" to their assignments. Unless you are onsite there is no way you can change a toner cartridge for a customer. I cannot imagine a supervisor finding fault with your instructions to a customer on that. I hope you can continue this assignment with as little nit picking as possible, my friend. Please let us know how things go.

I'm going to have the HP printer "evaluated" by the printer repair tech to see what it needs. I did run a driver update check and the result was that none were needed. From what I gleaned researching online the printhead itself may need to be replaced. If this is what is needed, I would prefer this be done professionally rather than my trying to do it myself per the manual instructions. I think I will take both the Canon and HP in next week and get them taken care of. I will let you know how things go.

Noah is doing well today. He kept me company when I took my shower this morning, and even let me trim his nails before I fixed his lunch. He is now curled up on his lamb's wool cushion enjoying his afternoon nap. Still have the lunch dishes to do, and at some point this weekend I will need to tackle the job of trying to reconcile the bank statement with the checkbook. Oh fun.

Hello moon_beam. cold and 2 inches of snow blink.gif TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I am so glad to hear he is well and hope that you are too. I'm so chuckling at him keeping you company while you're in the shower. Tang does that with me; just waits patiently waits on the seat to the commode until I emerge. He then demands attention happy.gif

I do hope you will be able to get your printers working properly again. I know that can be so frustrating.

Well, the snow last night and today made the commute interesting. This morning my bus downtown was right on time, but the express was 20 minutes late. That means it probably broke down (again) and I64 was a mass of disabled cars. I ended up getting there at 8:50 for my 9:00 shift, so it wasn't so bad; just 30 minutes later than usual. Going home was better with both buses right on time.

Work was a little better today. As pithy as the lady lead is with me, I'm still doing better than all the others. So far 1 quit before the end of training, 1 was asked to leave 1.5 days out of training, and 1 more was asked to leave before the end of training. The 2 that are left don't seem to be faring any better if their time up there today was any indication. I have no idea where Brooksource is finding these "winners"

Both Theresa and Tang are well and greeted me at the door. I will let you know how their check-ups with Dr. Mills go tomorrow. I almost begged off on feeding the stray waifs because of the weather, but it had stopped snowing. And I had made a promise to help them as much as I can. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very warm and blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Sorry your commute yesterday morning was a challenge due to the weather, and am very glad you arrived in time to begin your work on time. Sounds like you are doing well despite your leader's attitude. It never ceases to amaze me the personality change that happens when people are promoted to a supervisory position - - which is why I never strived to become a supervisor. Just keep doing the good job you're doing, my friend.

I hope your travels this morning with your precious Theresa and little Tang to the vet, and home, went smoothly, my friend, and that they both received a good health report. Hope the cab drivers were pleasant. Please let us know how things went.

This morning I ran the security updates and scan on the big desk top, then tried to print some things off using the Canon - - only to receive a hate message that the printer was not being "recognized." Unplugged the printer from the USB cable, plugged it back it - - nothing. Restarted the computer - - no change. Ran the driver set up - - everything okay on that end -- still no recognition to the computer. VERY FRUSTRATING. So - - switched the printer to my lap top - - worked perfectly. Go figure. Whatever is going on will have to wait until after I get it back from having it cleaned. If it continues to not be recognized, then I will need to call my computer guru to come troubleshoot it.

I also managed to get the checkbook reconciled with the bank statement - - so that chore is done for another month. YAHOO!!!

Noah is doing well despite having to listen to my gnashing of teeth about the "technology" challenges. He is now curled up on his cushion taking his afternoon nap. Still have the lunch dishes to do and a trek to the mailbox to make later on.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you and your fur kids. I hope all three of you are well and that Theresa and Tang's checkup went okay. Miss Mindy is having an ongoing battle with feline acne. She had a new red dot on the left side of her face an d today I found another two on the right side of her face and one on her chin. Shelley is fine and as sweet as ever. It is cold but sunny here today.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cold Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad he is well and hoping you are too. I'm sorry you are still having tech issues, I certainly know how frustrating that can be. I hope you are able to get it all cleared up soon.

My travels to the vet were fine as I set it up last night. Going home, however, was not so good. It took 30 minutes for a driver to even accept the call. I was on hold so long I'm down to 8 minutes on my my pre-paid cell plan until next month (sigh) Theresa and Tang got a clean bill of health for the most part from Dr. Mills. Tang's BG was elevated but only 19 points of what Dr. Mills considers the "goal" No need to change the insulin dosage at this time. Theresa will bear more watching though. Her blood work numbers went from borderline to just on the other side of high for her kidneys unsure.gif I'm to watch for any symptoms that are like the ones for diabetes and make sure she stays hydrated. He didn't indicate a need for medication at this time. Bless her heart, she will be 11 next month and with me 7 years now. Where does the time go?

While we waited for the cab, we stayed in the PetSmart and looked in on the kitties for adoption. There was a Tabby named Morris who looked very much like Tang and was listed as 6 years old (about the same age as Tang) I was pondering if they were litter mates, and Morris was looking intently at Tang's carrier. Strange.

When I got home, I took a cup full of food out for my waifs expecting the plastic bowl gone as usual. Not only was in still there, it was topped off with a different kind of food than what I get. It would seem I have an ally in this endeavor. Not much else going on. The kids have been taken care of and it's time to settle in. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy Cold Caturday Evening to you and furbabies. I'll be sooooo glad when Spring arrives (without tornados, of course!)....That is nice that you have an ally feeding the little strays. Smokey comes and goes pretty often, but I haven't seen Tabby1 since that last cold spell when it was -5, the coldest night. Some of the others have been back, plus the bandits clean up everything during the night. They walk on my car too, their footprints are different than the cats, very annoying.

I'm sorry about little Theresa's kidney test. Our little doggie, Annie, eventually had kidney failure. They usually recommend a low protein diet for dogs, but I don't know about cats. Anyway I hope little Theresa gets better. Give her and Sgt. Tang a special pat for me and I hope you all have a warm and cozy evening.....I always think of Angel Sir Tom too.....God Bless....TTFN

Hi LoveMyMickey. Pleasant Caturday greetings to you as well.

I was a little dismayed about Theresa's numbers too. They are both on the Iams Senior Plus which is about as good as one can do without going to the RX brands that are so expensive. Thus far she isn't having any symptoms, and I hope it stays that way. She and Tang are both doing well otherwise.

I am sad to hear Tabby1 has not returned since the cold snap and hoping for the best. I'm glad Smokey and the others still come around though. I hope you, hubby and the critters have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

PS: I hope Angel Mickey is looking over you as well.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy sometimes sunny windy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. I also hope your laundry time went smoothly this morning so that you and your precious fur tribe can share most of today together peacefully.

I'm glad to share your news that your precious Theresa and little Tang received a basically good health report yesterday. I do sooooo understand how you're feeling when you share with us: "Bless her heart, she will be 11 next month and with me 7 years now. Where does the time go?" This is exactly how I feel about all of my companions, and now with my precious Noah who will also be 11 years old in 4 months. I know your precious Theresa and little Tang are receiving the very best care under your loving provision - - their Forever Dad. Please know your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers that they will continue to do well with their health so they can continue to enjoy a happy and healthy earthly journey with you. Please let us know how they're doing.

I'm sorry about your minutes being depleted yesterday trying to get a ride back home. Hopefully you won't need your cellphone until your new minutes are loaded, and if you get messages on it you can retrieve them via your home phone which shouldn't count toward your remaining minutes - - and then return calls on your home phone. I know what it's like to be restricted on cell phone minutes, and it can become a serious issue when you need to make or receive calls and you only have a few minutes left to see you through for several days / weeks.

I'm so glad you have a fellow compatriate who is sharing your diligent care for the homeless waifs. This must have been a surprise, for sure - - and is a testimony to the example you are setting that someone has been observing.

It is quite blustery here today. Noah is on his window perch in front of the big windows telling me what he is seeing. I do hear some birds singing, and I know the leaves are blowing in the gusty breeze, which he also enjoys watching. Soon it will be time to start getting him his lunch.

Otherwise it's a quiet day here - - no machines to contend with today. Yesterday when I went out to get the mail I took the Canon with me via my wagon as it's too heavy for me to carry up the basement steps. I'm glad I did because it was a bit of an exercise wheeling it from the basement end of the house to the upper garage end. I brought it inside the house via the garage so both the Canon and HP printers are upstairs ready for me to load into the car tomorrow morning. If I were to choose which one I would get back first the Canon would be my preference as this is my "work horse" printer copier combined.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Sounds like you had your hands full toting your printers my friend. I know the feeling from hauling my cart when it's weighted down up the stairs. I hope both of them come back OK. Glad to hear Noah had some pleasant sights to while away his time in the window today.

Thanks for the well wishes for Theresa and Tang. What I like about Dr. Mills is he makes me aware of all options, makes budgetary suggestions where he can, and does not judge me while at the same time making sure I am fully informed. I hope someday I am gainfully employed enough to at least start buying RX food once a month and mixing it. In the mean time, the Iams Senior will have to do.

Laundry went fine, all machines available and no interruptions. I put food out this morning and just a little while ago for the waifs. No help today but the original bowl and an old take out container I'd used in the past were in front of the dumpster. I suppose the other person could have fed them and they ate that too; what I put out was gone. I'd think if somebody was throwing it away the containers would be in the dumpster too.

Otherwise it's been a lazy day. I decided to take a nap in the bed for a while and both of the kids came a running. Theresa at my side by my arm and Tang (briefly) on my chest until settling at my feet. But before he did, he he and Theresa touched noses and he licked her faced wub.gif They are so good and all I have most days; but I'm OK with that. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, chilly Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful "Kodak moment" when your little Tang kissed his big sister. I do know how much this warmed your heart to see it. And I also know how special it is when both your precious little girl and boy snuggle cuddle with you. Life just doesn't seem more perfect.

I'm so glad Dr. Mills is helpful to you, my friend. Like a human physician, being good with veterinary medical skills is vitally important, but it is equally important for the veterinary care provider to be able to effectively and compassionately communicate with their patient's human caregiver.

It was an early rise morning to get my Canon and HP printers into the service place. When I spoke with the receptionist on the phone last Thursday she told me the turn-around time was between 3 to 5 working days. As I was leaving to come back home the receptionist said it might not be until next week. I looked at her and told her that I need the Canon back as quickly as possible because it is the printer I use to do my online financials and make copies of receipts for my tax consultant. I was told "we will do what we can." So I'm really hoping they will not put me off about the Canon. I guess I'll find out as the week progresses.

Later on this afternoon I have my meeting with my tax preparer, so I probably will not be back online when I get back home. Noah was not happy not having his post-breakfast early morning snuggle cuddle with me, and I wasn't happy about that either. I will need to leave him again later on for my tax meeting, so when I get home I will need to focus my time exclusively to him. Fortunately we are having some very welcome sunshine today, and my precious little boy is stretched out on his window bench in front of the big door windows thoroughly enjoying the sunbeams. Tomorrow's forecast is calling for the first "significant" winter weather for the area which could bring up to 6 inches of snow. I'm hoping the above freezing temperature for today will warm the ground enough so that there will be a quick melt after the storm passes.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, that your travels will go smoothly with the holiday schedule, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Hello moon_beam. Sunny and almost warm greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and I'm glad he had some sunbeams in which to bask (even though neither of you were happy about being separated)

I'm sorry you seem to be getting the run around about your printer. I hope they get it back to you ASAP. I also hope your tax preparation goes well.

Work was hectic as the female lead was off (working Sunday) and her male counterpart who was scheduled in at 11:00 was 15 minutes late. Calls, calls, calls and 2 trainees looking at me like deer in the headlights. I did get a compliment from the manager about good time management skills. On days when it's busy, he wants me to go DND on the phone at about 4:45-4:50 and look over the call backs that have already been made with no answer, sort them into time zones, level of need, etc. I said fine, but he's going to have to tell little miss so she does not smack my hands for daring to get into her territory. He said he would; we will see. In complimenting me he tried to diplomatically say she has a hard time letting things go (i.e. not escalating, bypassing our level of support w/o permission, etc.) No wonder she dislikes me. Oh well.

I lucked out on my buses home tonight and had my furry greeters, who are both well. More time to spend with them is always welcome. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy chilly Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm so glad your bus connections yesterday went smoothly getting you home sooner than anticipated giving you and your precious fur tribe more time to be together. Getting home is always the best time of the day.

I understand your concerns about taking on more responsibility without assurances that your leader / supervisor won't hold it against you. Still, being asked to do this is a positive reflection on your abilities, and is something you can add to your resume when this job assignment is done. Perhaps if this leader continues to be an ally you can add him as a reference.

The meeting with my tax consultant yesterday went well, and he confirmed that I do not need to file any federal or state income tax forms this year. He also reviewed my financial status and told me that I have done a good job in managing finances over the years, and approved my plan of action to try to hold off accessing funds from my life insurance policy - - which could be converted into dividend payments - - unless I absolutely need to. So, this is encouraging news. And, since this was a consult he did not charge me anything. So, the funds I set aside for this service can be used to cover other financial commitments, which is helpful.

We're still under a winter storm warming here. A little while ago some white flakes drifted through the air but that is all that has happened so far. If that's all that happens that's fine with me - - the snow needs to go to the ski resorts for people who depend on it for a living.

Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and is curled up next to me as I'm writing to you taking a nap. The timer on the stove is letting me know that my lunch is ready now, so I will get this off to you.

Hi moon_beam. Severe winter weather greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm so glad to hear he is doing well, and I hope you are too.
I'm glad to hear things went well with your tax consultant, and for the bonus that he didn't charge you. That's great news.

Today's bus connections did not go so well due to the snow and wind. My first bus downtown was right on time with no problems. My express to the job must have broke down at some point. I stood in that so called shelter for almost 40 minutes waiting on it, having to badly use the restroom the whole time blink.gif I finally gave up and hit a hotel for that. I tried to get a cab from there, but there were no takers. Since I have almost no cell minutes, I could not call TARC for the status on the bus. Figuring I missed it or it was canceled, I managed to get one back home. I called the job first and the manager was very disappointed. I called Brooksource next and the guy offered to come get me in his SUV (he's from Michigan and this is nothing to him) So, I only ended up missing 2 hours of work. And the manager was happy because the other woman called off due to car trouble. The buses home were fine.

Theresa and Tang are well, but were very confused by me coming home, only to leave again in about an hour. They both greeted me tonight wub.gif I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, Arctic cold, sunny, snow on the ground Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

WOW - - you had quite an odessy yesterday getting to work. How NICE of your Brooksource contact to give you a ride to work. I know this meant a lot to you - - and it shows the leader that your determination to make every effort to get to work. This is highly commendable of you. I'm so glad your travels home went much better for you, as I'm sure you were, too. I hope your travels today will be back to normal.

Late yesterday afternoon I received a call from the printer service folks that my Canon was ready. It only needed a good cleaning and the tech rep told me that I needed to put a new toner cartridge in as the one that was in there was leaking toner. I went in this morning to pick it up, and the most treacherous place to navigate was the parking lot. Fortunately there were a couple of employees in the service office who took the printer out to the car for me, and assisted me back to the car. That was very generous of them. Fortunately the snow cover here is just a coating on the ground, so I was able to bring the copier inside using my trusty little wagon. The tech rep confirmed that my HP needs a new print head, and he is researching various parts providers to get me the best price for the part as possible.

Noah no longer runs and hides from me when I leave to do errands. I'm very glad for that. And he was right at the big door supervising my return and bringing the printer back inside with the wagon - - my precious little job "foreman." He is letting me know that it's getting time for his lunch, and he's right, so I will get this off to you.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, that your travels to work this morning were much smoother, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Hello moon_beam. Continuing arctic temperature greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Chuckling at your little man "supervising" (this is what kitties do best) But he's really making sure mommy gets in safe. I'm glad to hear you were able to at least get your Canon back, and that you had help navigating the slippery parking lot.

That's my biggest concern now too. The roads are OK, but the sidewalks, parking lots, and other places I have to walk are pretty much untouched. I guess the message is if you don't have a car, you don't matter huh.gif

My travels were much better with only minor delays here and there. Work was OK, the "new guys" were taking in-bounds, and the lady lead was back. So it seemed less hectic with more hands on deck, as it were. The leads switched seats this afternoon, so the call back sheets were no longer in her "territory" She was even half way cordial asking me if I had a particular one as I worked them around 4:50 before end of shift. Maybe someone said something to her? Anyway, not a bad day.

I'm off tomorrow for working Saturday. The arctic air is supposed to stay with us until then too. I'm not sure how safe it will be out there with my cart, so I'm pondering if I can make my tub of litter last until next weekend. I definitely have to go to the library to return a book due Saturday and pick one up they won't hold until next weekend.

Coming up through the parking lot I heard the most heartbreaking MEOW from the other side of the fence. A poor waif that looked just like Tom as a little one sad.gif I tried to comfort him with my words to little avail. I decided the least I could do was carefully navigate the lot to put food out (didn't last night) and was immediately rewarded to see another little one make a beeline for it. God love them, poor souls.

Theresa and Tang are both well and greeted me at the door this evening. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant and warm evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, Arctic cold sunny Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm glad your travels yesterday went smoother, and hope you and your precious fur tribe are enjoying this day off together. I'm so glad you were able to navigate safely yesterday, and hope if you have done any errands today that your travels have been safe.

You should feel very proud of yourself for doing what you can for the homeless waifs around your apartment complex. Without you, and the example you have given to your fellow compatriate, these precious little beings would have no one. You are their guardian angel, and this is an additional honor for which you will be greatly rewarded when it is your time to join your beloved Sir Thomas, and each of your beloved companions, in eternal joy.

Sounds like yesterday was a decent day for you at work with the lady leader not being quite so snippy at you - - which, if this was the actual case, must have been a welcome relief to you.

Have worked a bit on financials today scheduling routine payments online and beginning the process of working on entering the monthly financials for February into the checkbook. Used the Canon printer with my lap top and the copies are much cleaner once again - - which is very helpful.

Noah is snuggled next to me under a soft blanket taking a nap. I'm watching a program on the local PBS station called "Rescue Me" - - about dogs, and cats, who are successfully adopted from shelters, rescued from horrible situations, and the organzations who provide training and care for the animals until they find loving Forever Homes.

Otherwise not much else happening here today. Still have lunch dishes to do, and a trek to the mailbox later on.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny but very cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I'm glad you at least have your Canon back and it's performing satisfactorily.

Travels started out OK, but deteriorated. It was sunny and though it was cold it didn't feel like it (unless the wind was blowing) And the sun being out has actually started to melt the snow and ice even though it only made it to 12 degrees. I hit my first snag when I realized I'd forgotten my book to return due Saturday when I picked up my new one. If the manager is correct about letting me go early from work then, perhaps I can return it downtown on my way home. Other wise it's a special trip next Saturday and a 1.20 fine (sigh)

My next snag came when I realized I had little time to shop once back in my area if I wanted to catch the bus home rather than walk. The next came when the GNC was out of the regular size of my digestive aids. Even if I took advantage of the buy one get 1/2 off the other, I still spent about 10.00 more than that on the jumbo size. It's 40 more than 2 of the regular size bottle and the price per unit is about the same, but it was frustrating and not in the plan. Being in such a hurry, I ended up forgetting some things again. The full walk up there was not as bad as I had thought it would be with my cart, but I didn't want to repeat it with it full. At least the bus driver lowered the lift both times and my cart came away undamaged.

Theresa and Tang are doing well, and have snuggled with me today. I was heating up a can of chili for lunch and cutting up a hot dog to put in it, and Tang demanded a few bites happy.gif which I gave him from one of the ends. Not much else going on. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a cozy and warm evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, frigid frozen sunny Firday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

You certainly had a time with your errands yesterday, but am so very glad to share your news that your new cart, and you, managed the travels unscathed. Believe it or not the intense prolonged cold weather does have impact on memory, so please know your "forgetfulness" is normal. Your body, and brain, are focused on survival - - not on details of what needs to be done. I do know how frustrating it is, though, to be facing a late return fee for the book, especially when every penny counts. I hope you will be able to return the book on Saturday, my friend, without having to pay the fine.

The temperature is dropping here today with temps now in the teens. Even with the sun shining bright and cheery there is little warmth in the sunbeams. Most of the snow that we got from Tuesday's storm is now melted with places here and there still showing a "frosting" remnant.

Noah is doing well. He is letting me know that his tummy is running on empty. This cold weather is playing havoc with his appetite - - making him more hungry than usual - - which an increased appetite in cold weather is a survival mechanism. I am hoping that February will bring a warming trend in anticipation of an early spring.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels home will be safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Cold but clear (for now) greetings to you and your precious Noah. I'm glad he is well and I hope you are too. I hope your little man does not eat too much (like mine) and get an upset tummy. I too hope for an early spring. It's hardest on people like me that have to walk and ride the bus.

Work was OK, but busy; they just kept bringing me call back sheets and I kept cranking them out. With newbies taking calls but needing the leads for help, it felt like I was doing the lion's share blink.gif I'm totally not looking forward to going back out there tomorrow with 40% chance of more snow and possible 2 inches of accumulation. The good news is it's supposed to end by noon and get to almost 40; but that won't help my mile long walk each way unsure.gif

Transportation was OK, but got home a little later than usual. Theresa and Tang both welcomed me and are doing well with full bellies and heaters to nestle up to. I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most warm and peaceful evening. TTFN

Hello Tom's Dad, and happy Caturday to you and your fur kids. Sorry you have to work today, but hopefully your commute won't be too bad. I'm sure your little ones would rather have you home with them. We had some snow late Tuesday, and some streets are still a bit icy. It has been real cold here. Mindy and Shelley are both well. Shelley enjoyed cuddling with me last night while I was watching a movie. Mindy gave Shelley some loving licks on her head.

Hi, Tracy, cloudy frigid Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits - - in spite of the fact that you have to work today.

I do hope your travels will go smoothly today, my friend. The regional radar is showing a blob of snowy stuff headed this way, although according to the forecast only flurries are anticipated for this area. However, the wind chill factors for the next several days are to be brutal for this area, at times below zero. This isn't the first time temps and wind chills have been this cold, but it is unusual for it to be sustained this long. I know it is even worse for you and others who HAVE to brave the elements to go to work.

Not a lot happening here today, as the focus for my precious Noah and me is just keeping warm. Will probably write checks today to get in the mail on Monday, and Monday will be another online bill pay day as well. Soon it will be time for me to get some lunch on the stove warming, and some lunch in my precious little boy's bowl, too.

Clear and warmer (now) Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Commuting today was treacherous to say the very least. More going in when it was blowing 2-4 inches of snow everywhere. The less said about it, the better blink.gif Let's just say I saw my life flash before my eyes a few times. It hardly seemed worth it to be honest.

But it's over now and Theresa and Tang have both greeted me at the door. I was never going to make it to the library all things considered, so I will have to go next Saturday and pay the 1.20 fine. Not that big a deal really, but I feel bad for who ever has it on hold next having to wait.

Not much else going on. The kids are well and happy and fed wub.gif I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a warm and pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Snowy, windy, cold, Happy Caturday to you Sgt. Tang and Princess Teresa. Got up this morning and it looked like a hurricane had hit the carport. The wind had blown snow all over the place and turned over the trash cans. Haven't seen any kitties today, I am worried for them. Although I throw seeds out back, there is a flock of those old blackbirds that swarm down and eat the dry cat food. We have to keep scaring them away........Anyway we have a nice guy that shovels our driveway every time it snows and he doesn't charge much.

I'll stop complaining now, things could be worse. I know it was hard on you getting out today. I hope you and furbabies stay well and warm and have a peaceful and cozy evening. Always thinking of Angel Sir Tom and little Angel Mickey.....God Bless...TTFN...

Hi LoveMyMickey - Happy Caturday greetings to you and hubby as well.

It was quite an adventure today to be sure - and not in a good way ohmy.gif I'm sorry to hear you didn't see any kitties today, I worry about them (yours and mine) too, Especially Tabby1 who you have not seen since the last cold snap sad.gif But I was heartened (as in a previous post) that when I decided at the last minute to put food out even though the weather was foul, I saw the Siamese mix make a beeline for it.

I hope today was kind to you folks and that you have a great evening. Always thinking of Angel Mickey. TTFN
