Good Morning, Benny-boo!

Taking a bit of time out this morning to remember why we are writing to you and trying to find the words to apologize for the idiots of this world who would do or NOT do what they did. The only good was dropping you over the fence at The Gentle Barn so that you could truly experience real love, respect and decency before you had to move on to the Perfect World. Now you will only know love, kindness, happiness, play time, nap time, tummy rubs and friendships.

Oh that just breaks my heart! What makes people show such incredible cruelty to animals. I am so sorry for the loss of Benjamin and hope that he is at rainbow bridge having a blast.

HAPPY OCTOBER 2ND, BENJAMIN!

October is a great month. The weather hasn't turned bad enough to keep us humans, and hopefully our pets, indoors all the time. The colors of the leaves on the trees are so beautiful and at the end of the month is Halloween! Yes, even little (and big) doggies can go Trick or Treating and load up on doggie treats! The saying "Trick or Treat" just isn't the same any more, but the kids keep coming.
This year will be like last year - we'll put the candy out with a note, then shut off the lights so people don't knock on the door and drive Dreamer and Kelley crazy. We did that for Trevor and it worked well.

So, my puppy-wuppy, have a magnificent day and an even better evening.

Don't forget how MANY people love you and think of you (and your sacrifice) every day!

I haven't been writing love letters to you for a while but I know you know that I and so very many others whose lives you touched think of you and love you every day/

I've got a very important job for you: wander on over and find either the kindest chocolate lab who ever lived (that would be Gretta) or the most loving, generous light brown cocker spaniel (that would be Gretta's cousins Trevor). We need all our Musketeer animals to give a special prayer-hum for Trevor's mom Bobbie. It'll be 24 hours - from midnight (here on earth) Feb 1 - three days from now -to midnight Feb 2.

Gretta will explain the prayer-hum. It's a gentle sound Gretta's little brother Rufus makes when he's trying to get my attention or wake me up to go outside. We human Musketeers will be humming too.

Our hum will fill the universe with grace, power, gratitude, love, courage, strength (oh, and did I mention love?) for Gretta's Aunt Bobbie (Trevor's mom) on the day she most needs it.

I haven't forgotten you by not writing to you for so long. You can see from up there in the perfect World that my earthly family has had some awful problems during the last few months. That happens on earth, as you well know. And you also know that in the Perfect World where you live now, there is none of that - only pure happiness.

Your Musketeer mate Trevor's mom needs some special help today. Trevor can tell you about it if you want to know more about it. It's a lot like the pain you had when those people did that awful thing to you. Trevor is going to lie under the My People Need Some Special Help Today tree today sending all his strength and love to help his mommie. I've asked all his brothers (he doesn't have any sisters) and his cousins Gretta to go there and lie down with him for a while and join him in sending down all the strength rays and love rays you can to his mommie. You are all such incredible dogs. I know your love cna and will help her.

I'll always remember how lucky you were to make it to the Gentle Barn, where so many people loved you so much that your baby feet never touched the ground again. Baby B, can I ask you a favor? There's a big (i mean BIG) black dog who just got to the Perfect World. His name is Rufus. He is my boy. He got very sick and had to pass over to the Perfect World all by himself. I was far, far away taking care of Trevor's mom. Would you please tell him what a good, good dog he is? Would you tell him how much I love him and how much I miss him? No one was around when he passed over to tell him these things and I so want and need for him to hear them. You are the perfect one to soothe his heart.
