And before you confirm that I am nuts, there was a marionnette named Howdy Doody during the late 1950's.

How are you doing my little one? See, you have another human that loves you without ever knowing you personally! THAT's the real power of goodness - the kind of goodness you've had since you were born. What I think is kind of special is the picture of some wonderful soul at The Gentle Barn holding you in her arms and lap, tyring to make you as comfortable as possible. And I'm going to have that picture with me forever and that's how I get to remember you! As a snuggling puppy being loved and cared for by the best of people! Then, one day, we'll meet and that will be so much fun!

And don't be scared of Donnie, the Lab. He might be bigger than you, but he sounds really nice and special! He can be one of your Big Buddies!

Thank you for all the work you and Mickey and Trevor are doing just for little ole me! BTW - there is a new boy that has been in Heaven for awhile, but I just heard about him. You probably know him. His name is Toby and he's a German Shorthaired Pointer who was shoved out of a car a few years ago and almost immediately rescued by the most wonderful man around. They lived, played and loved each other for a few years (Toby was older when he was abandonded) and then, one night, had to day good-bye, as we all have. Toby sounds like just a joy to be around. Much like you and Gretta and Trevor!

If you're not already there - and in the front - hop right over to that huge party you hear going on. It's Trevor's first birthday in Heaven. Don't worry about having to push your way through a crowd. You guys are spirits now and Trevor can see you and is inviting you "up front".

Humans are crazy sometimes (you already knew WAY too much about that). If we can't see or hear or touch someone, we call them "gone". Dumb, huh? Every one of you beautiful dogs and cats and bunnies and ferrest and fish and snakes and birds and eveey other kind of animal who has touched our hearts, KNOW we are all still together. And whisper a word of thank you in Trevor-Forever's ear - for sending his mommie a sign that she could believe in, a sign that all was well with him and that one day they would be together where you and he are now.
