His spirit is too strong to go away- you could just tell. Those precocious eyes are so hypnotizing.
Bue's Mommy
Awww Goliath's Mom, you're most welcome. I enjoy your pictures also, it does give a bit of insight into our babies, yes?

When I went to the Caribbean a couple of years ago, I took disposable cameras with me, for fear of loosing my expensive camera. I did not use all the exposures, so I took pics of the kitties when I got back. I forgot I had these cameras, and came across them recently. Needless to say, get ready for my pics, lol.

Thank you so much for your kind words
Bue's Mommy
Joanne, you mentioned that you give him yogurt, and he has the runs, correct?
Cats for the most part can't tolerate lactose. Are you giving him cows milk, or goats milk yogurt? There's a difference, maybe you can try it from a health food store because the commercial yogurt is not very good for kitties. How much are you giving him? You can also make your own yogurt too, it would have the health properties your vet is trying to get into Charlie.

When Bue stopped eating I bought Purina One with yogurt, but it made his stools very smelly, they were solid though. Youy can go online to a kitchen store, and buy a yogurt maker, hope this helps.

Bue's Mommy
Bue loved dairy, if I had a Klondike bar, and ate all the chocolate off of it, Bue licked the ice cream. Well Nibblez saw this, and he wanted some too. So I would let each of them lick a corner at the same time for a little bit. I never gave them too much, so the runs were not an issue. It was wierd how they both had sweet tooths though, and my girls don't.

There was a big write up in the paper about Dannon lying about the health benefit of yogurt for the digestive tract.

"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A proposed class action filed on Wednesday in California accuses The Dannon Co Inc of mounting a massive false advertising campaign to convince consumers to pay more for yogurt containing "probiotic" bacteria because of the products' health benefits.

The lawsuit, filed in a Los Angeles federal court, said Dannon's own studies failed to support its advertised claims that its Activia, Activia Lite and DanActive were "clinically" and "scientifically" "proven" to have health benefits that other yogurts did not.

It seeks reimbursement for all U.S. purchasers of Activia, Activia Lite and DanActive, and demands that Dannon engage in "a corrective advertising campaign."

Dannon spokesman Michael Neuwirth said the company was not aware of the lawsuit but stood by "the claims of our products and the clinical studies which support them."

Dannon Co, a unit of France's Groupe Danone has relied on Activia and DanActive to help boost its U.S. yogurt business.

Activia, launched in the United States in 2006, and DanActive, launched in 2007, are expected to account for 40 percent or more of the company's U.S. yogurt business in 2008, Juan Carlo Dalto, Dannon chief executive, told Reuters in November.

Activia's packaging says it contains "bifidus regularis," which "helps naturally regulate your digestive system." Dannon has claimed that its dairy drink DanActive "has been clinically proven to help naturally strengthen the body's defenses when consumed daily," the lawsuit said.

Other companies also have promoted the benefits of foods with probiotics in order to tap into health and wellness trends that have attracted consumers.

The lawsuit claims Dannon has spent "far more than $100 million" to convey deceptive messages to U.S. consumers while charging 30 percent more that other yogurt products.

The lawsuit also cited scientific reports showing, counter to Dannon's advertising, that there was no conclusive evidence that the bacteria prevented illness or was beneficial to healthy adults -- "

Dannon Sued Over Bacteria Claims
Bue's Mommy
Joanne, you ever see the commercials for drugs, and the side effects are worst then the benefits, thats yogurt imo.
I havent helped many out here lately because my good friend trial is coming up tommow he was stabbed in 2006 right after Thanksgiving, his murderer is now on trial. He has also killed someone before. I don't look forward to seeing the bloody knive, and such. I do want you, and others to understand why I have not responded to others who have lost their babies. I can only take so much.

Take Care
Bue's Mommy
Thanks for understanding Joanne, the verdict will be on Fri.

As far as the yogurt goes, do what you feel is right for your babies. If the stools remain soft, I would talk to the vet about alternative treatments.

Please keep posting to let me know what happens.

Take care
Bue's Mommy
Life is short
Bue's Mommy
Thanks Froduffy, his eyes are really amazing.

How are you doing?
forduffy
Hi Bue's mommy,
I just read about what you have been going through and my heart breaks for you. I hope that justice will be done.

As for me, we finally bought a house in the 'burbs and we will be closing sometime close to May. I can not wait to get out of the city. Not much else for now.
Take care and many hugs to you right now-
Bue's Mommy
Hugs Forduffy, I'm so glad you have your home in the burbs. City life is very wearing on the heart, and soul. I liked it at first, and then grew to hate it. I knew I had issues when my friend invited me to stay at his place on the beach, and I could not sleep becasue the ocean kept me awake, lol. Can't wait for you to start your brood.

Well the guy got life {WITH} the possibility of parole in 15yrs. I need to move on, now that justice has been done. Thank you so much for caring. Have you decided how many kitties you want? I have always had a multi cat household, I think they live longer when they have each other, and us. A good way to know what vets are good in your new area is to ask the neiighbors, so many families have dogs, and cats, and lets not forget other, lol.

Talk to ya soon

I miss you Bue, I miss when I would get on the floor, and do my abdominal work, you always wanted lovins from me. So I stopped rubbed your big belly, and played with you. I love you Bue-Bue, he's a good boy.
Bue's Mommy
You're Welcome Lovethem.

This pic is special, because I only have a couple of shots with Bue, and Twubby together. The other little kitten is my friend Jens kitty Spencer. Twubby passed in 97, I lost touch with Jen, so not sure if Spencer is alive.

Bue is under the table because, Spencer ate all his food and Twubby is checking out Spencer, and Spencer is looking for more food, lol.

I love, and miss you everyday Bue Bue.
forduffy
Hey Bue's mommy,
I'm happy to hear that justice has been done and you can find some solace. You have been through so much recently.

Well, we are going through the normal process of first time home buying and learning as we go. Hopefully, we will be closing sometime around May so until then, we are still city dwellers. I have a picture in my head of 2 cats, 2 dogs and maybe a kid or two-the last part is pretty scary, though-lol. I do want to raise the furchildren together as siblings and be sure that they all get along. There is nothing that brings me more joy than watching 2 furchildren playing and bonding with each other. That is why I love all of your pictures-especially watching your babies interacting with each other. That is what keeps me going.

Oh well- off to work-TGIF! I know that Bue is not too far away and perhaps, much closer than you think. Take care and have a great weekend!
Bue's Mommy
Thank You so much ForDuffy,

Home buying can be very tedious, and stressfull. The end result will be a house full of babies, I'm so happy for you.
I look forward to seeing your family form, and so honored to be privy to it.
I'm so ecstatic that my pics keep you going, that's why my pics will stay right here where they started. I can't tell you how many pm's I get thanking me for posting the pics in the Death, and Dying thread.

I truely enjoy reading eveeything you say. You put a great big smile on my face when I read your posts, for that little while the pain of loosing Bue does not hurt as much.

Thank You
Bue's Mommy
Hi Joanne, glad your kitty no longer has the runs, and Moose is ok too.
Hope your move goes well slso. Thank you for the support about my friend that was murdered, you , and Forduffy made me feel alot better with your kind words.

You ever tell somebody something important, and all they don't even acknowledge what you said. They are so wrapped up in their own world no one else matters.
Again, ty for understanding how I was feeling.
Bue's Mommy
J. we have been there for each other, and I really appreicate it.
When exactly do you move?
Bue's Mommy
The only thing I like about the cold weather is football, lol.
Oh, and making hearty soups, and roasting a turkey.

I'm glad your babies are doing better. I wish I could find a cat that looked like Bue, but in reality I have never had cats that had the same personality. Funny thing is that my male Nibblez has become so affectionate since Bue's passing. I think he watched Bue with me, and mimicked the behavior. He does alot of things Bue did. Considering Nibby'came to us as a kitten, it's understandable. Nibby willl be 8yrs in Sept, so maybe I will get another kitten.

I love this pic of Zena, and Nibblez, because his paw is on her butt. As if to say this belongs to me, lol.

Talk to you soon
forduffy
Hey Bue's mommy,
I am so late for work today but it's just one of those days that I can't get myself moving. I stopped by and got to see those last four pictures that you just posted. They are so cute. Are Zena and Nibblez inseparable? That picture just shows how similar kitties are to us with affection-actually, what am I saying-they are much more affectionate than humans can be. We will never know how to love like that. It's still early and I'm already rambling. That's just a beautiful picture. So are the ones above it of Bue. He is truly such a gorgeous kitty. I am sure he is still around his mommy especially during this tough winter.

Thank you so much for your sweet words. You will definitely be privy to see my new babies when I get them. It is really a pleasure to meet someone like you in these forums. I had just recently been going through a moment of peace with my grief with just a couple of little sobs here and there and then bam! last night, it hit me again-just to put me in my place. Grief is such an ugly monster.

We are still waiting to finalize things for the house so we are in limbo with that and it feels as if my dream of a house full of furbabies keeps slipping away. It's been so frustrating. How is everything with you? How are you and your little guys getting through the winter? I know that it's been really hard for you.

Anyway, I had better go. Take care and I will talk to you soon! Sorry for so much rambling. I am so not a morning person.
Bue's Mommy
I have three, Bue made 4

Here's a pic, the grey one is Puddin, Calico Zena, and Nibblez who looks like he could be Be's son.
Bue's Mommy
Hi Judy, the cats on the couch is Bue on the left, and Zena on the right.
TY for saying how cute Bue was as a baby, I have always viewed him as a kitten
Even when he got to be 20 pds, lol.
As far a posting pics in the tribute section, naw I'm gonna leave room for other people to post their pics there, but thanks anyways.

Sorry it took me so long to respond to your post.

Talk to you soon

This pic is Zena, and Nibblez
forduffy
Yes, Judy-Bue's mommy's babies always make me smile and laugh out loud. I love them. I love Bue yawning. That is adorable.
Bue's Mommy
Thank you so much Judy, and Forduffy.

I miss him so much, as you do your babies. Hey Judy remember the lady who I told you about that had the pregnant cat, well she is pregnant again. Her last litter did not produce a Money cat, but if this one does I'm getting a kitten. I need a youngin in here to calm down the bruisers, lol.

Again ty both for your kind words.

I miss when you used to lay against my belly when I had bad cramps Bue-Bue, you purred so deep it almost felt like a massage. I love, and miss you Bue Bear.
You are my little furry heating pad, lol.
Bue's Mommy
I can't wait to see kitten pics, also adult pics.
I'm sure your pics will give great joy to all that see them Judy

Talk to you soon

This is Nibblez, and Zena. Should I be worried when I leave the house? lol
Bue's Mommy
Hi Judy, my cats are wierd like that. When I sit on the couch they jockey to see who gets a thigh to lay against. Problem is 2 thights 3 cats, lol.

Check out the new pic in the fridge pinned section.

I hope you all enjoy this pic!
goliath
LOL thanks for another great laugh Bue's Mommy. We can never have too many of those. I have a few at work that I'll have to browse through. One of my co-workers is a true catlover and sends me photos all the time.

It's nice to see some cheer and upbeat humor here. Laughing is such great medicine! laugh.gif
Bue's Mommy
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Goliaths Mom. I thought it was a riot, becauase I had a cat that looked like the white one, and currently have the other cat/Money cat. When Zena sleeps she looks just like that, lol.
Bue's Mommy
Zena is a character, she yells at me, and she abuses me, and I love her to death. when I tell her no, she meows at me like she is talking. I want her to nurture a kitten, oher than Nibblez.

This is my best friends Serval cat Sonny. Some people came over one night, and Sonny was so proctective of me, he attacked one of the guys, and I don't even live there. Sonny would drink a cup of water if you left it around. Sonny is huge.
Bue's Mommy
The fat kitty pic at the bottom says, they will pay for this outrage.
I'm going to Tributes right now
Bue's Mommy
I guess I'm a bit confused, I read the other thread, and I thought BW was going to be your kitty. Are you not going to adopt him? Remember I told you they treat animals as cargo in another post.

Let me know
goliath
Hahahahaha that one is great Bue's Mommy. Reminds me of a cat I once had named Q-Tip. These darling pics you find and post here really amuse me and bring on a big smile. biggrin.gif

I think the little kitty found the best seat in the house!
Bue's Mommy
GM, and Judy I'm so glad you enjoy the pics. LOL, Judy you can't come up with new stuff, what the heck will the texters do now, lmao.

This is funny!
goliath
OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What BIG claws you have pool baby! laugh.gif
Bue's Mommy
LOL, GM

Thanks Judy, I will try it tomorrow/today later.
As with any good detective work, it's now time for a picture to put a smile on your faces.

I like to call this pic

"Forbidden Love"
Bue's Mommy
LOL, Judy

I'm not sure why the filters blanked t*itLE, maybe because of the first 3 letters.
I'm glad it made you laugh.

Now, for your viewing pleasure

This Is A Really Big Pu$$yCat
Bue's Mommy
Hi Joanne, as I mentioned in another post, I have had these pics for years.

I love this pic.
Bue's Mommy
My worry about that cat would be litter box detail, lol.

The other pic was Forbidden Love

I will let you name this one, LMAO
Bue's Mommy
I love you Bue
Bue's Mommy
Hi Joanne, I totally think our babies are here in spirit, and when that does not work for me, I have Bue as my screensaver on my TV.

I'm glad you enjoy the pics, here's another cute one.
goliath
LOL Bue's Mommy. I received this very same picture today from my friend and co-worker, Farah the catlover. What a sweet coincidence.

Thanks for the smile. tongue.gif
Bue's Mommy
Thank you GM, and Joanne.

It is funny how you got the same photo, I just love kittens snuggling.

Remember cats are just like us, mental illness, addiction, incontinance.
Keep this in mind when you view the next pic.
Bue's Mommy
Hi Joanne, I disagree. I think cats are very resilient in nature. They find all kinds of ways to survive.

My friend lives in the city, she has cats/kittens that live in her backyard. These cats follow her to the store, and back like escorts. I could not believe my eyes when I saw this behavior.

I went over another tims, and saw a squrrels tail in the yard, yes the cats tore that squirrel up, obviously they were hungry. Cats, and dogs that live in a city, and no one takes care of them, take care of themselves. To me it shows how strong their survival skills are.
Bue's Mommy
Hi Joanne, this is your quote.
"I have always considered cats to be fragile along with everything else."

You never mentioned the cats you know, therefore when I wrote my reply it was based exactly on what you said.
I live in the suburbs, and the cats seem to be fat, and happy around here. My point was that if you take the caregivers away, most will survive on their feline instincts.

Take Care
Bue's Mommy
Hi again Judy, like I said in your Lucky pic thread, sorry for being so late in posting.

This starts back to before Bue died, I was having some abdominal issues, but I did not do anything about it because I needed to be there for Bue, and my friend that was murdered.

Well once the other issues were resolved, I took myself to the Dr., and I just got out of the hospital April1, what a day to get out, lol. I think I will be ok now. The tumors made me look 7mths pregnant. Needless to say that is not a good look for one that is not pregnant, lol.

I have been in pain suince Bue died, and now my pain will finally go away. You always say such nice things about my babies pics, I wanted you to know why I did not respond , ok? I'm on meds right now so the pain is bearable.

Oh the cookie one is cute, but I like the two cats in the sink.

Is this secretly what all kitties think of themselves?
Bue's Mommy
I miss you so much Bue Bear
toonie
Bue's Mommy, you have been carrying quite a hard load, I am glad you are able to look after yourself now, know that you are very important and care for yourself as well as you did for Bue and your other loved ones. Wishing you a prompt recovery and that all will be smooth sailing from now on, Bue will send the right waves for you to be carried on and all will go well from now on because Bue is your angel, living within you. Think of him as your angel inside and he will take care of you.
forduffy
I second everything that Toonie said. I am so sorry to hear that yet another hurdle was put up on your path to healing, Bue's mommy. I am happy to hear that you can now see an end to this pain and I wish you the best recovery possible so you could get back on your feet. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bue's Mommy
Bue was 14yrs old. I adopted him when he was about 7 weeks.

Hugs Toonie, and Forduffy, I will respond to your posts soon, thank you so much for replying to mine.

When I really started noticing Bue not being Bue it was as a result of alot of different unforseen events.

I somehow got cellulitis of my right foot, and could no longer walk on it, thats when I went to the hosptial. I have always worked out at a gym, and power walked 4 miles day, so this killed me, being sidelined.

My computer desk is right where I can see the cats dish in the kitchen, so although I was on the computer, I also work from home. I could see subtle changes in Bue.

Bue liked to get up in my leather recliner, and rest on my lap, one day he did this, and the pain was so bad I scared him off of me, I felt so bad about that.
Bue found one of the tumors, I don't think I would have known about it as early if it was not for him.

As far as too much on the plate, I look at it this way. other people have way more on their plates than I ever did. I'm just grateful I got to be Bue's mommy, and have a great friend who was taken away from this life way too soon, he was 32. I'm also so grateful for the caring individuals in this form, I would not have made it through if it was not for your kind, and loving words, Toonie, you were the first person to post to me when Bue died, I'll remember that the rest of my life, thank you.

This is my friends pic
Bue's Mommy
Good for you, but don't you think you should post it in the New Beginings thread?
Since this is for death, and dying!
Bue's Mommy
Are you so self-absorbed, that you just don't get it?

I asked you nicely, now I see I have to spell it out for you.
Bue's Mommy

THIS IS MY DEAD CATS THREAD. I THINK IT IS DISRESPECTFUL, AND SELFISH TO POST ABOUT YOU ADOPTING A KITTEN, ON MY DEAD CATS THREAD!!!!

For the record, I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Don't bother to respond,

Are We clear?

QUOTE
Bue found one of the tumors, I don't think I would have known about it as early if it was not for him.

Hi Bue's Mommy, I've been re reading your thread and feel for all your loved ones.
Here I have snail speed internet and it takes quite a while so sometimes I don't see all the pictures even if I read the texts there but this time this beautiful guy materialized (almost like a wonderful angel would ) and took my breath away, usually all I see are cats biggrin.gif wink.gif So this is the friend you lost that was murdered, this must be really difficult. He looks like he was such a strong and loving personality as well, a character oh how you must miss this guy! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif As well as your deep pain for your darling Bue-bue what a very difficult time it is for you to go through. I think because it was Bue who found you had health issues it is also a message to you, that he said hey Mommy, look there and take care of this, you have a lot of living left to do, I can see all kinds of beautiful things happening later on and I want you to be looked after like you you should be, like the beautiful lady that you are and will always be. There is probably a connection that will come out of your loss for your friend too. He will always be by your side, I feel this, and how he fits so well here, in a place where we love, we hope and we empty our hearts yet refuel at the same time. He and Bue are your great big powerful connection with the cosmos; you have great things ahead in store for you, be well, grieve because we all must, but know that angels are by your side and feel the wealth of them as they go on loving you. I hug you, darling Bue's mommy.
