Hi, Kel, thank you so very, very much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot, you, and your precious Karma are doing. I am soooo thrilled to share your news that your precious Lancelot is doing really well and is feeling really well. I know your heart is soaring, and I share your joy.

It sounds like your precious Karma has been keeping tabs on his brother's health crisis, and is now assuming the role of comforter and caregiver for Lancelot. He know you love Lancelot very much, and he knows you love him, too. There is no need for "sibling rivalry" anymore - - although there may be times when "seniority" will need to be reaffirmed. I know seeing your precious Lancelot and Karma together is a prayer answered for you, and adds to your joy about how well your precious Lancelot is doing.

I am also very glad you have found a feline lymphoma support group online to give you hope and encouragement to know that the "prognosis" is not an exact science but rather a conservative guideline.

Thank you again so very much for sharing your wonderful news with us, Kel. I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
DannysMom
Kel, this is good news all around! I know joining the support group will help you...just to be able to share with and get support from people going through the same thing. It makes you feel not so alone in all this. It always helps to have a good support network. How wonderful that Karma has warmed up to Lance and was trying to check on Lancelot. I know this must make you so happy to see your kitty boys get along. It's nice that Karma is getting so protective and being a good big brother. And I know you're so happy that Lance has bounced back and is his feisty self. smile.gif Thanks for sharing with us, and you know we look forward to your updates.

Just take things day by day. Treasure each day that you have with Lance and make the most of it. Give him all the lovin' and attention he can stand. Don't try to look too far ahead into the future, just enjoy the time that you have with Lance. Each day, each moment is a precious gift and meant to be enjoyed.

Hugs,
DannysMom

Another update... Today's the start of week 16 of Lance's chemotherapy! We saw the oncologist 1st thing this morning, and she seems really pleased with how he's doing. His weight was up yet again, which means he's starting to be a little chubby, even. The oncologist considers that a mark of a cat who's doing ok with his cancer. He got vincristine today, which is the med he had a hard time with last week, but we're also not upping his phenobarb dose this time, to see if that helps. We started premedicating with the antinausea med last night, in hopes that we can get ahead of any nausea. She also dropped the dose a teeny bit, though it's still in the normal dose range for a cat his size. The oncologist also says his physical exam is "normal." Additionally, his bloodwork remains normal.

So, now, we go to seeing the oncologist every 3 weeks. We're doing his prednisolone once a day, instead of twice a day, starting today. The plan is to check another ultrasound in 6 weeks, to see where we're at.

We're continuing to enjoy every day with Lance, and I'm definitely trying not to think ahead. There's no point, really. I spent three months freaking out about Pippin, and it still didn't change that we lost him. I spent so much time anxious about him that I didn't enjoy those last months as much as I could have... I won't be doing that with Lance.
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you so very much for sharing with us your wonderful news on how your precious Lancelot and you are doing. I am soooo very thrilled to share your news that the oncologist is pleased with his progress, that his blood work remains normal, and that he is continuing to gaini weight. All of these are very good indicators for him indeed.

From what you have shared with us, according to my calculations with the calendar the next ultrasound will take place sometime during the week of April 8, and his next oncology visit will be during the week of March 18. I know as the week of April 8 draws near you will be anxiously anticipating knowing the results, as we will be waiting with you. Even though you and your husband are the ones coping with the reality of your precious Lancelot's illness and treatments 24 / 7, I truly hope and pray you know in your hearts beyond all shadow of a doubt that you are not alone in your journey.

Thank you again so very much for sharing your wonderful news with us, Kel. I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Kel, thanks for sharing with us about Lance's progress. This is very good news, especially that he's gained weight. I know that makes you feel so much better. Hopefully he'll do better this time around with the dose of vincristine. He is such a brave little kitty boy, and I know you're proud of him. Try to stay positive and just love him and give him the best care. I will keep you and Lance in my thoughts and prayers.
Pippin's Mom Kel
Danny's Mom and moon_beam, thank you so much as always for your continued thoughts of us here. Lancelot is doing pretty well right now. He didn't have any seizures with this last dose of vincristine, and he got his cytoxan last week, which he typically tolerates pretty well. He's been eating well since, playing and being a very normal Lancelot. As a matter of fact, he's currently lounging around after a vigorous round of laser pointer play. smile.gif

We're back to the oncologist Monday, for the start of week 19. For now, let me share a picture of Lancelot being Lancelot. smile.gif

DannysMom
Kel, this is a great picture of Lance! He is sooo precious! What a beautiful kitty boy. I know you're pleased that he is doing so well. How is he getting along with Karma? I hope there haven't been any spats between the two. This picture clearly shows that Lancelot is loved and well cared for. Please let us know how his next visit with the oncologist went.
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you so much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot is doing. Like DannysMom, I am sharing your joy that he is doing so well. Thank you also for sharing this wonderful picture of your precious little boy - - there is no doubt from the expression in his eyes that he knows he has his own very special place in your heart. In fact he looks quite pleased with himself!!! (as well he should!!!)

I hope all goes well on Monday and am hoping that the doctor can give you more good news to fill your heart even more. Please let us know how things go.

I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Hi, Kel, just stopping by to say hello to you and your precious Lancelot, and letting you know that I'm wondering how things went yesterday with the oncologist. Please know your precious Lancelot, you, your husband, and your precious Karma are in my thoughts and prayers, and look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,

As always, thank you so much for all the kind thoughts for my furry family. Moon_beam, thank you for asking how the appointment went. My little chunky monkey is up to 13.2 lbs!! His baseline weight was around 12 lbs, and he was about 10.5 when we adopted him last April. The oncologist thinks he looks "great." His blood counts are still ok, and his exam remains normal. He got adriamycin this time, which normally doesn't do terribly with. The plan is still to do an ultrasound in another 3 weeks.

In the meanwhile, Lancelot is being his usual self. He ate wonderfully today, and he's been very playful. It's hard to believe that next month, we'll have had him for a year. I didn't think he'd make it to our one year Lance-a-versary. Also, next month is his six month checkup with his neurologist, another landmark we didn't think we'd make.

Finally, the oncologist was telling us that she'd just heard from the owners of a cat who she'd treated eight years ago, who was FeLV positive like Lance - they'd moved to Canada, and fallen out of touch partway through treatment. It turns out that kitty is still around and still in remission! It's so good to hear the good stories, you know? (Also, she must have been pretty happy with how Lance is doing to even *mention* that to us.)

So, that's the update - all good news, for now! Go, Lancey, go!!
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you for so very, very much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot's oncology check up and treatment went on Monday. My heart is soaring with joy at your WONDERFUL news. I know next month will be a very special celebration indeed for your and your precious Lance-a-versary. Hope goes a very long way when faced with an experience with overwhelming odds not in your favor - - even when our hearts are struggling to prepare for the worst case scenario.

I am hoping and praying that the ultrasound will provide you and your precious Lancelot with even more wonderful news - - that he is now in full remission.

Thank you again so very much for sharing your wonderful news with us, Kel. I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Kel, this is great news indeed, and I know you must be so happy! smile.gif I'm so glad that Lancelot is doing so well and hopefully everything will go well with his ultrasound in 3 weeks. I'm glad your oncologist told you that story about the kitty who's still around with FelV after eight years. That is encouraging and it just goes to show you that cats with FeLV can live long lives and that it doesn't necessarily mean they only have a few months left.

Please give your sweet kitty boy a hug from me! smile.gif
Pippin's Mom Kel
Danny's Mom and moon_beam, thank you so much. It's so helpful to know that you're both rooting for Lancelot. Last week was another good week. I think giving him the Cerenia ahead of time, then for three days around the time of chemo, has been super helpful. I stopped by our primary vet's to pick up some meds, and I got a chance to show him pictures of Lancelot from earlier in the day - he was thrilled to see the chubby kitty! biggrin.gif

I did have a disheartening experience last week, though. I was at work, and a pharmacist I'm friends with asked how Lancelot was doing, and I answered. The nursing supervisor asked what I was talking about, and I explained that I had a cat with cancer, and when she heard I was doing chemo, her reaction was to laugh. Then, the next question is always, "How much does that cost?" (Often said sarcastically.) My reply, since I have chosen not to have children, is the standard: "Less than a kid."

I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to grasp that I would care enough about my pets to give them chemo for a very treatable cancer. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif I pray that she doesn't have any pets, because they deserve better. I'm hurt, and I'm offended, and I'm angry at that reaction. Sigh.

DannysMom
Kel, I am so sorry about your disheartening experience at work last week. Shame on this nursing supervisor! She is in the caring profession and should have shown more concern to begin with, but she obviously has never known the unconditional love and the joy and comfort that a fur kid brings. For her to laugh was just so cruel!!! I can imagine how that must have made you feel. I mean there you were, excitedly talking about Lancelot's progress and then this woman stomped on your heart.

But good for you that you got a word in edgewise! smile.gif Some people do not understand about the bond between a fur kid and a human. This woman should have at least kept her comment to herself. She has no tact. You have every right to be angry and offended at what she said. Please know that you're among friends here and won't encounter such comments on LS. We all know how much love these little fur-covered angels give and they ask for so little in return.

I don't have kids either, and that's why Mindy and Shelley are my "girls". I hope Lance continues to do so well. smile.gif
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you so very much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot and you are doing. Please let me add my deepest sympathies in the crude and rude response you received from your nursing supervisor last week. I know first hand how cruel this is, and you have the right to feel hurt and angry. Having experienced similar situations with employers is one of the many reasons why I stopped "sharing" my private business with co-workers and supervisory staff. Perhaps sometime there will be an opportunity for you to tell your supervisor how much her comments hurt you, if this would be beneficial to you. And I wish to emphasize what DannysMom has shared with you: You ARE among friends here who truly do understand what you are going through with your precious Lancelot.

I'm glad to know that your precious Lancelot is continuing to do well, and I agree with you that giving the Cerenia prior to the chemo is helpful. When my mom had chemo for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, we finally were advised to give her a dose of her nausea medication prior to her treatments, and it did help lessen this post-chemo side effect.

I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Peace and blessings,

Pippin's Mom Kel
Oh, Lancelot. This time, he ate some onions. Maybe. There may or may not have been onions on the plate he decided to climb into the kitchen sink to lick clean... the good news is, if there were, there were only tiny amounts. I'm still freaked out, of course, since I know they can cause hemolytic anemia in cats. sad.gif

I talked to our oncologist's on-call vet, and she and I talked about the amount he might've had, and she was pretty sure it shouldn't be a problem, but she had us call a local veterinary hospital to be safe, since they have criticalists there. Talked to them, they think the same thing - he should be fine.

I can't get over this fear that now, we've started to win against the lymphoma, but I've gone and killed him with my own stupidity. I shouldn't have been lazy and left that plate there. I just wanted to watch the last ten minutes of a TV show with my husband. I'm not quite hysterical, but I keep bursting into tears because I can't stop worrying that I've killed him.

Monday, he sees the oncologist. He'll have his abdominal ultrasound and blood counts done - which would show anemia, if it were happening. And anemia would happen 3-7 days after ingestion, so it's in the right time frame to catch it.

But... if only I had been more careful. What will I do if we lose him, and this is why?
DannysMom
Kel, I'm sorry to hear this, but I think Lance will be okay, just as the two vets told you. I can so understand you worrying about him, but he'll be alright. You haven't killed him. We all make mistakes sometimes, please don't beat yourself up over it. I have accidentally left out rubber bands which Tina used to eat if she got a chance, and I think she ate two of them, but she lived to be 14 1/2 years. Please don't worry. I will keep you and Lance in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all goes well with his ultrasound. Please keep us updated.

Hugs,
DannysMom

Hi, Kel, please permit me to add my sincerest encouragement to DannysMom, and to your precious Lancelot's care providers that your precious boy will be okay. Along with DannysMom I do so understand how concerned you are - - which is a witness to your deep love for your precious boy. Just keep him under close observation - - check his gums occasionally if you can to make sure they are not losing their normal pink color. If they do, then you may want to consult his veterinary care providers again. Otherwise, try to relax and enjoy the weekend. I hope Monday's evaluation will bring very good news for your precious Lancelot, which I know will be very good news for you and your husband, too. Please know you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and that I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Hi, Kel, stopping by to let you know your precious Lancelot and you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers today as your precious boy has his oncology check up. Hopefully the blood work will show there is no need to worry about his escapade on Friday licking the plates in the kitchen sink. Please know your precious Lancelot, and you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I look forward to sharing with you how his medical check up went today.

Peace and blessings,

Pippin's Mom Kel
Danny's Mom and moon_beam, thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. His bloodwork today was fine, and the oncologist thinks his escapades are funny - but the last thing he needs. Naughty boy!

I got the best news I could have hoped for today. Sir Lancelot, the Naughty, is in FULL REMISSION!

laugh.gif biggrin.gif wub.gif

I am so, so proud of my brave boy, who fights everything - even the neurologist's stethoscope - with determination and courage. My tough, sweet little warrior. I just want to scoop him up and hug him, but he's having none of that, LOL!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your good thoughts and prayers for our little boy. This is nothing short of miraculous, in my eyes.
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, words are so inadequate to express to you the sincere joy I am sharing with you in your WONDERFUL news that your precious Lancelot is in full remission. I know your and your husband's hearts are soaring, as is mine right along with you. God does listen to our prayers and answers them in the way He knows is best, and for now He has granted you and your precious Lancelot the gift of sharing more time together in your earthly journey. I know your precious Lancelot is also grateful to you and your husband for all the loving care you have given him through this crisis, and will continue to give him each and every day.

So - - when does he need to go back for a check up with his oncologist and primary care physician? I imagine he no longer needs chemo treatments at this time - - and hopefully never again.

Thank you again so very, very much for sharing your WONDERFUL news with us, Kel. I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot and Karma, and your husband kindly, my friend, and please know I look forward to sharing with you how you and your precious Lancelot are doing.

Moon_beam, thank you for the reply! Lancelot continues to do well, and although we know remissions don't always last more than 6 months to a year with lymphoma, we have heard some success stories of cats with remissions lasting multiple years. With large cell lymphoma, which he has, we will continue the protocol of chemo for a year, at least, if not 18 months. That's what vet oncologists are seeing the most successful remissions with. For now, we're continuing to see the oncologist every three weeks. Since, at this point, Lance is tolerating the treatments well, his blood counts are good and he has only mild objections to being there, I'm glad to keep going, to give him the best chance of staying with us. He actually seems to really enjoy car rides; I drive, and my husband sits in back with Lance in his carrier. It's actually comforting to know we're having him seen by the expert and followed closely - and I feel better continuing to treat the lymphoma, since I know remissions don't always last.

I'm so deeply grateful for your support and prayers, moon_beam (and Danny's Mom, and I think Tom's Dad, too!). Lance has faced everything with a courage and feisty attitude that is what has gotten him this far. I'm so proud of him.

We took this picture Monday, the day we found out he is in remission.

DannysMom
Kel, that is a nice picture of Lance. It really shows off his beautiful blue eyes! I'm glad he's got this fighting spirit, but with a name like "Lancelot" that is to be expected! smile.gif He is indeed a brave and courageous kitty "knight". We will keep him in thoughts and prayers that his remission will last and that you will have a few more years with him. I've heard that some cats with lymphoma continue to live for years, so this is not unheard of.
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you so very much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot and you are doing, and for this wonderful picture your handsome little boy. Your beloved Pippin and God knew what they were doing when they led little Lancelot to you, for they knew what his needs would be and that you and your husband would give him the love and care he needs to have as healthy and happy earthly journey as possible.

I'm so glad that your precious Lancelot will continue his follow up schedule with his oncologist and regular veterinary care provider as needed. Please continue to let us know how things go for him.

I hope today is treating your precious Lancelot, and you and your husband kindly, my friend. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I look forward to knowing how your precious Lancelot and you are doing.

Another brief update - we had our week 25 oncology appointment today, and everything went swimmingly. His physical exam is normal, his weight is stable, and his blood counts are "great," per the oncologist. She seems quite pleased with how he's doing and said we're on "cruise control" for the time being. We'll continue our treatments every three weeks, unless something changes. We also discussed the possibility of extending his protocol past a year, if he is still in remission then. (I can't believe we're thinking that far into the future! It used to be "tomorrow," then it was "next week.")

You know, it's funny. At first I wasn't sure about our oncologist - she was brilliant, obviously, but I wasn't so sure about her bedside manner. She was quite reserved. She has, in the six months we've known her, warmed up considerably. I have to wonder if at first, she didn't think Lance was going to make it. Either way, I'm so deeply appreciative to have an oncologist who is willing to fight for Lance, as we are. And one who has a sense of humor about Lance... being Lance! He's so naughty. He's the sweetest little snugglebug at home (usually, as long as you respect his grumbles), but he starts grumbling and hissing when we walk in the door to the oncologist. (Funny enough, he is chipper for the entire car ride, all 60 minutes of it, and then fine for the ride home.)

Thanks for listening, and for your kind thoughts.

Also, let me just add that April 23rd was our one-year Lance-a-versary! Hurray! I was just going back and reading my posts from when he first got sick, and how every week was a miracle. Every week still IS a miracle, but I just can't believe we've gotten this far. Next week is 26 weeks - half a year on chemo. Wow.
moon_beam
Hi, Kel, thank you so very, very much for sharing your and your precious Lancelot's WONDERFUL news with us. Your news is truly an answer to earnest prayer. I truly believe your beloved Pippin and God led Lancelot to you and your husband knowing that he would need your very special loving care, for in these very unsettled financial times anyone else may not have had the ability to fight for his life.

I share your thoughts about how time has passed "Also, let me just add that April 23rd was our one-year Lance-a-versary! Hurray! I was just going back and reading my posts from when he first got sick, and how every week was a miracle. Every week still IS a miracle, but I just can't believe we've gotten this far. I am so very glad that you are now able to settle down into a more peaceful "cruise control" routine with his check ups and treatments. May this coming year, and all years forthcoming, give you and your precious Lancelot a long and healthy and happy earthly journey together.

Kel, my heart is soaring with yours with your WONDERFULLY good news. Thank you so very much for sharing it with us. I hope today is treating your precious Lancelot, and you and your husband kindly, my friend. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I look forward to knowing how your precious Lancelot and you are doing.

Kel, this is such wonderful news! smile.gif Thanks for sharing that with us. We are rejoicing with you that Lance is doing so well. I had to chuckle at him hissing and grumbling when he walks in to the oncologist. Maybe he just wants to appear "macho", lol! It's nice that your oncologist takes Lance's grumbling in stride. My vet used to say about Tina that she has "spunk" and as long as she is so spunky that she's doing well. I think the same can be said for your Lance. He's a fighter. And I know all our prayers helped.

Danny's Mom & moon_beam, as always, thank you for thinking of Lancelot and me. His appointment last week went just fine. His weight was down the tiniest bit, but the oncologist isn't really concerned. Lance remains active, playful, and most importantly - happy!

We're in the middle of moth-hunting season here in New England, so Lancelot has been a busy boy every evening. We were so afraid, when he was diagnosed last fall, that he wouldn't be around to hunt any more moths on summer evenings. My heart swells with joy when I see him stalking bugs now!

My husband put together a video of all of our kitties in action:

Moon_beam, thank you so much for continuing to think of us. Things are going incredibly well with Lancelot - so well I'm almost afraid to post about it, lest I jinx us!

Today was the start of week 38 of Lancelot's chemo. Last week, he received adriamycin, and this week and the next are weeks off. He remains in full remission, and his weight is even up a little bit more - 13.93 lbs! His blood counts and chemistry remains normal. He is so very active and playful, and he continues to eat adequately. He's a ferocious moth hunter.

I am so immensely grateful to have Lancelot with us nine months after his diagnosis of large cell lymphoma. He is continuing to handle chemo very well, with minimal side effects. We're enjoying every moment with him, especially when he comes to bed with us every night. smile.gif

Thanks again for thinking of us - I'm sorry I haven't updated much! I hope you're well, Moon_beam, and I appreciate your kindness so, so much.

Lancelot is continue to do very well with his chemo. Tomorrow will be the start of week 41. He had his week 40 treatment last Monday, and he remains in full remission. His weight is stable, and his blood counts are good! He's doing well enough that I even got brave enough to go away for the weekend, leaving my husband with him and the other kitties. I visited my mother & brothers, and went to a high school reunion - I was so nervous, since the last time I visited my family, Pippin was ill and died shortly thereafter. Bad memories!

I'm home now, and Lancelot seems to be doing very well. He was happy to have the treats I found for the kitties at a winery near my mom's house in NY - as were the other kitties! Lancelot is now hunting moths, and letting me get in snuggles every once in a while.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your good thoughts for my Lancelot.

Hi, Kel, thank you so very, very much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot and you are doing. When I saw that you had posted I must confess I was a bit apprehensive as your thread was opening. I am EVER SO HAPPY to share your WONDERFUL NEWS as to how your precious Lancelot is doing.

Yes, I can very well imagine your apprehension about traveling with it bringing back very painful memories of what happened with your beloved Pippin. This is very normal, my friend - - and I am soooo very glad that THIS TIME your precious Lancelot is well and thriving.

I hope today and every day, is treating your precious Lancelot, you and your husband, and all your precious companions kindly, my friend. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how your precious Lancelot and you are doing whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,

Kel, it is wonderful to hear that Lancelot is doing so well. I know you must be so happy for your precious kitty boy. It is so nice that he is enjoying life to the full. I can understand how nervous you were about leaving for your family visit, but I am so glad that you enjoyed it and that Lance was fine during the time you were away. I'm glad your fears were not realized. I can well understand how nervous you were about leaving. I get so nervous every time I have to take my girls to the vet, always expecting the worst. I think we just get "spooked" that way.

Enjoy every moment you have with Lance, it is a gift. Put away those fears and worries and just live in the moment with him. A good life is a well lived life. Don't let worries and fears steal away those precious, wonderful moments with your sweet kitty boy. Enjoy those snuggles with him and watching him hunt moths. This is something that you will always treasure! smile.gif
Pippin's Mom Kel
Hi, everyone. Just another Lancelot update. He had his week 44 oncology appointment today, and the vet is happy with his exam. His weight is down a little bit, so we're watching that closely and I'm trying not to run too far too fast with my worries. He's eating like a champ, still, and extremely playful. We had to start him on lysine supplementation since his herpes is flaring, but he's well otherwise.

Hi, Kel, thank you soooooo much for sharing with us how your precious Lancelot and you are doing. It sounds like he is pretty much holding his own. Because his immune system is compromised a "flare" with another chronic health challenge can happen. The good news is that you and his medical care providers are "on top" of things which will help to keep him comfortable and happy and healthy. The fact that he still has a good appetite and has playful energy is a testimony to your diligent care. Still, I know so well from first hand experience with my companions that ANY fluctuation in your precious Lancelot's "status quo" rings "alarm bells" in the heart and mind. Just keep doing what you're doing, my friend - - which is the very best you can for your precious Lancelot.

I hope today and every day, is treating your precious Lancelot, you and your husband, and all your precious companions kindly, my friend. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how your precious Lancelot and you are doing whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,

Hi Kel, I've been watching this topic, but for some reason I've missed your latest post. It's good to hear that Lancelot is doing well and eating so good. I'm sorry to hear about his Herpes flareup. Mindy brought in this virus from the shelter, but I quickly got it under control with the Lysine treats. They work great! Hopefully Lance's weight loss is just a tiny bit, but I know that even a tiny bit can cause concern, especially since he's been eating so good. Let's hope that his next appointment also goes well. Please give your sweet kitty boy a little cuddle from me! smile.gif
Pippin's Mom Kel
Just a quick update, as I've been at a leadership seminar for the past two days, and that's tiring for an introvert! Lancelot had his week 48 appointment on Monday, and it went very well. He has not lost any more weight and his exam is normal, as are his labs. He remains in remission. smile.gif He got a new drug Monday that left him a little tired on Tuesday, but he was back to himself by mid-day on Wednesday. He only has two more treatments in his protocol! The next one is October 28, and the last one is November 25. I can't believe we've made it this far... I never thought we'd make it past the first week.

Again, thank you to everyone for your support and kind thoughts for Sir Lancelot. It means the world.

Kel, I sympathize with you about the seminar as I'm an introvert myself, but this is great that they think so much of you to send you to this seminar. It's wonderful news about Lancelot, thanks for updating us! I'm glad he bounced back so quickly from adjusting to the new drug. I am so happy for you that your sweet kitty boy is doing so well and remains in remission. I'm sure it also has to do with him being loved so much and having a wonderful 'mom' (you) and good kitty friends.
