Just seeing your picture makes me smile. Your mom has been my "rock" for the past year since my Gretta went to the Perfect World. Thank you for sending sings to your mom and dad so they could know FOR SURE that you were OK and living in the perfect World. When you doggie go home, you take that piece of our souls with you (and we keep part of yours). SO when we can't sense you around us, our hearts - oh, those human hearts - get sad and ours eyes leak. But deep inside we're happy for you living in health, warmth, happines, friendship, pplay, sunshine ..... We just wish that we could be ther with you - which we WILL when it's the right time.

LMM - I would like to send you a book that Bobbie recommended to me. It's called "I'll see you in heaven". I ordered it from Amazon a few days ago so it should be here soon. I'm a complete dunce on this site doing anything more complicated than posting and replying to posts. If you'd be willing, could you send me a personal message with a place to send the book - even if it's a friends house or something like that. It's written by a Franciscan monk and apparently has all kinds of religious and biblical "proof" that we SHALL be reunited with your furbabies in heaven.

Gotta go now - Rufie is barking to play "bone" - a game that Bobbie taught him when she was here this winter.

And BTW - I hope you and your hubby are having a restful and peaceful Sunday. I told my sister about that book "I Will See You in Heaven" and it is one of the nicest and most appropriate books out there. It's a small book and with short chapters, but I immediately wrote Trevor's name in it. I hope you like it.

My Dear Sweet Little Mickey,

Well, another Tuesday is here and mommy had leaky eyes this morning. It is really a bittersweet day because mommy and daddy met June 26, 19_ _ on a Greyhound bus just down the road from here. We have lived in many areas and now have come full circle.

My sweet boy, one of the greatest joys was having you in our life....We love you baby, with all our heart and soul....Untill next time, my little one, enjoy your Perfect World and we will meet again someday....

Well, today is another bump-in-the-road Tuesday for your mommy and daddy. I don't know how they sneak up on us so quickly, but they seem to be coming closer and closer together.
I know you already know this, and have from the beginning, but your mom and dad love you sooooooooooooooooooooooo much: both when you were all able to be together on Earth and even now when you are separated physically from each other's Spirits. You were the apple of their eyes and I know that their eyes still leak all over the place for you. For when some companion comes into our lives, as you did for your mommy and daddy, the mark that is placed on their hearts and souls can never be erased or changed. You will be Sweet Mickey forever.
And if you are anything like your mommy, you are the sweetest dog ever! (well, next to Trevor, of course) Oh! What fun it would have been to meet on this side of Paradise, but it will be even better later because we will never HAVE to say Farewell - only "see you later".

Hello Love-My Mickey

Great minds .... you and Bobbie and I are like three musketeers! Thank you for that. Coming up on a year angel-versary is SO hard. Until that happens - no matter how hard you try not to and how much it hurts, you still get to think, "last year at this time Gretta/Mickey/Trevor was still here." After a year it seems much more final - althought the leaky eyes don't stop and you DEFINITELY don't stop missing them, longing for eveything about them.

Thank you so much for helping me get through Gretta]s one-year on April 10. We musketeerswill stick together here on earthe and someday get together with all our "heavenly" Musketeers. (Hope they don't put on a pirate party for us!)

Yesterday was a "break down and have a leaky eye day" and I don't know why. But mommy feels better today. It is so hot here, should reach 102 today. But I know you are in a Perfect Place and there's no bad heat to bother your breathing.

Hello Mickey!

This here is Trevor's mommy and I'm going to tell you, once again, what a fabulous mommy and daddy you have! WOW! You must be winning all the Bragging Contests in Heaven! And that's Super! Kind of like YOU!

Hi LoveMyMickey!

I know this heat is going to drive us insane soon. My dad told me he'd heard that "we" (whoever that is) are two months ahead of schedule with the weather. In other words, we are experiencing late August weather now. Goody. Can't wait to see what August brings!

I hope you had a good weekend together. We went "Goodwilling" and found some great toys for all the grandchildren and greatnephews. We decided that we are just going to be called Grandma Bobbie and Grandpa Stan because we are forgetting which kid is which now.

Trevor's one-year anniversary (I don't like calling it angel-versary - a bit too whatever for me) is fast approaching this month. I was going to laminate the letters we wrote and read to him last year, but I think I will try for a new one instead. I just have such trouble with words, finding new ways to proclaim his wonderfulness. What did you do for Mickey's 1st year anniversary? Trevor's is on a Sunday, so we have the entire day to do things. I've got plenty of "OFF" spray for the bugs, we have a nice old bench very close to Trevor's grave, his Grandmom and Grandpop are going to be there, too. I just know that it is going to be a difficult day for me. Luckily I have an understanding husband, sister and YOU to lean on and believe me, I will. (Now if I could only copy and laminate that collage of Trevor - it would be perfect!)

LoveMyMickey, I want to thank you for being such a loyal and good friend to someone you don't even know! The love and compassion you have in your heart, and so freely give to others, makes our lives better. I hope the same is true for you! Please try and stay as cool is possible again this week. I find the coolest spot is on the carpeted floor, with a small fan blowing nearby and two dogs snoring their lungs out. Not too good for sleeping, but I do stay cool. Oh! TV or reading or both are optional!

Bobbie, I want to thank you too, for being a good and loyal friend. You have helped me so much since I've been here. As time goes by, I feel better, but then a bad leaky eye day will enter........About the one year anniversary, I put flowers on Mickey's gravesite, which is in our back yard. I cried a lot...........I hope Trevor's one year anniversary isn't too hard on you all......You can "Lean On Me"anytime.

I also want to thank YOU for being a friend through these many months (more than a year now) of grief and very leaky eyes. The poem you wrote me - Gretta's response to my apology to her for .... well, you know ....was THE most curing thing that has happened to me. (That and the love you you and Bobbie). I have shared it with several people here on LS - always letting them know who the kind person is who had those precious thoughts and words - hoping it would hel their hearts as much as it had helped mine.

I hope you and Rufus had a good 4th. We are in another heat wave here. We stayed in and kept cool. But we did feed and water the birds and other animals that come around.

Well, I think the worst is over for this hot spell. At least it's only in the high 90's today. Might even rain tonight.......nah, not that lucky!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you all the time (actually, all of you, including your daddy) and hoping that these days are not being too rough on you. LoveMyMickey, you are such a darling person, so thoughtful and kind. No wonder Mickey chose you and your hubby to be his parents!

Oh Bobbie, thank you for your kind words!........It is still hot here. According to the weather radar there is rain all around us, so maybe it will get here. Mickey's little gravesite doesn't look too good because of the dry weather although I kept watering the little green stuff. It will have to be worked on later.

Two questions, do you know what year Trevor was born and when do you want me to post the poem? It is almost finished. I hope you like it. I know this is especially a rough time for you, the anticipation of the one year anniversary......My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend.

Yes, you ARE the BEST and don't ever forget it! I don't know when Trevor was born, but his Guardian Angels found him in their yard back in 2008. I don't remember the date, but we put it on his gravestone. Trevor died on July 22, 2011 at about 11:00 am.

Why don't you post the poem either the 18th or the 19th or you can send it to me privately as well. I want to get it laminated and left at his grave on the 22nd. You know how I want the entire world to know what a wonderful little boy he was/is. Whenever I say that I don't want you to think that I think any less of Mickey. He, too, is one of a kind!

Thank you, again, for being so unselfish during your own grief journey, that you will help out someone you haven't even met!

Hi My Sweet Precious Mickey!

Isn't it great to see Gretta's and Trevor's mommies back again? They are sweet friends and have helped your mommy so much during the last months. We love them!


My Little One.....Your daddy and I were on the patio late this afternoon, watering some plants, and giving the birds some water and food. Anyway, daddy said there's a little white butterfly. It flew around close to us and landed close to me on a blade of grass. I said, "I love you, Mickey," and it flew away and circled over your gravesite and then left. Sweet Mickey, thank you for sending your message of love through the little butterfly.......It looked exactly like this one I found on the internet the other day.
It had those two little black spots on it too. Reminds me of your pretty dark eyes.

Well, mommy and daddy have a big anniversary coming up tomorrow. One thing is terribly wrong, you're not here with us.
