Hi lovely moon_beam, Thankyou so much for taking some time from the precious hours you have with Noah at the end of the week - after being self employed for some time my circumstances have changed and I'm about to get back on the 9 to 5 treadmill, I have been so very fortunate having so much time with my boy, oh I'm going to miss him, on the other hand I know I will always have money for whatever he needs - like you, I suspect that I will find myself living for the weekend and at least I have the thought of him to get me through the days...I was really surprised at the wet foot flicking because, as I mentioned before, he is such a water kitty - I flicked the hose at him the other day and he came running to stand in the spray! You wouldn't even know that he had been for surgery, he's charging around on those big floppy feet just like usual - I think it will be ok to reunite him with Bandit tomorrow. Our room at mum's is outside the house and as soon as mum lets Bandit out in the morning he comes and knocks on our door (one solid rap) to come and see if Purszi can come out to play, mum suggested that when I start work I bring Purszi over here for the day so the boys don't get lonely, if I can work out the logistics I think this is a good idea, I had been worried about them missing each other when I finally go home...Hope you and Noah have the loveliest weekend hanging out together and relaxing before you have to face another week, sending huge hugs for both of you, Leejaye
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, I can so relate to what you say about Purszival's reaction to wet feet. Like your precious little boy, my Eli would romp and play in water too, get in the shower with me - - and yet - - when he was outside and it started to rain he would come lickity split into the house because he hated getting WET. Now, will you please tell me what the difference is??????? It made a HUGE difference to him, for sure!!!

I LOVE the idea of your mum doing "kitty day care" with Purszival. That would be totally awesome!!!! Not just for Bandit and Purszival - - but for your mum as well. If not every day, then maybe two days a week - - or whatever your schedule can manage. I hope all goes well with your new job. What job will you be doing?

I hope you and your precious Purszival will have a GRAND day with your mum and Bandit. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers, leejaye, and am looking forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Hi moon_beam, It's sunny again and Bandit and Purszi have been reunited! A good day already!! Mmm, the job - I've returned to my retail roots, nothing special, just a means to an end, I have to admit my main enthusiasm is the prospect of regular reliable income (even if it's not much) and knowing I can take care of Purszi - when the bee stung him I had to borrow money from my mother in law to take him to the vet, my mum paid for his operation,at least I had people who would help but I felt like such a loser and such a bad mum...I'll try to get some pics of the boys playing outside today and post them this afternoon! Hope you had a lovely evening my friend, snuggles for Noah please, Leejaye
leejaye
Here are some pics from this afternoon - I let Purszi off his lead so he and I and Bandit could play chasings! He discovered the frangipani tree, subsequently I had to climb it to get him out of the top (hardly climbing in this tree, but I don't know how many years it is since I climbed any tree!!) Purszi's favourite hangout to annoy Bandit is the bottom of the water feature in the middle of the pond - for the life of him, Bandit cannot work out how he gets on there and gives him this amazed look whenever he does!! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, Leejaye

Oh leejaye...The pictures of Bandit and Purszi are sooooo cute! Bandit is looking at Purszi and saying, "where do you get all that energy?"........Purszi in the tree saying, "Mum, come and get me, you're still young."....And Purszi by the water looks like he's saying, "I'm king of this place and don't you forget it!"......Thanks for sharing the pics.

Leejaye, Congratulations on your new job. I hope it all works out well for you. The time with the boys will be even more precious.....You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.....Thinking of Angel Mischief too...

Hugs,

LoveMyMickey

Hi, leejaye, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Purszival are doing. The pictures are WONDERFUL!!! Thank you so o o much for sharing them with us.

I do understand your desire for financial independence and stability, and I hope your new job will bring that to you and your precious Purszival. I hope today is treating you, your precious Purszival, your mum, and Bandit kindly. Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, along with all of your family, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Hi moon_beam and LoveMyMickey, Glad you liked the photos - how much has Purszi grown??! He's getting the look of a real little cat (rather than kitten) about him. I don't start the job til next week so I'm living it up with my little man as much as I can this week, hopefully the weather stays nice so we can spend every day outside! Thinking of you both and hoping the universe is kind to you, hugs, Leejaye PS moon_beam, a hug for Noah for me?
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, enjoy this precious time with your precious Purszival. You will cherish it always. Hope today is being kind to you and your little boy. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news. Thank your for the hugs for Noah, and please give your precious little boy a hug from "auntie moon_beam."

Hi moon_beam! Purszi, Bandit and I have pretty much spent the last couple of days outside, the weather has been beautiful - sunny, with the slightest breeze to take the edge off the heat. I had to do an online induction before I start this job, so I took the laptop out to the yard - I didn't get much done! I was too busy watching Purszi pull Ninja Cat Move # 364 - in his efforts to pursue Bandit I'm sure I saw a couple of modified somersaults - forwards and backwards (careful always to land in a defensive position!), some standing leaps with front paws raised, the sideways flying leap with extended front and back paws, and, possibly, a cartwheel. I don't know who gave him the Book of Ninja Cat Moves, but he has obviously studied it thoroughly! He waits until Bandit is distracted, looking at something (anything, Bandit being Bandit) then tears out with one of these crazy moves, gives Bandit a few slaps, then tears off into a hiding spot in a clump of shrubbery - I could watch it all day! You are so right moon_beam, these are precious memories we are making, I have been so fortunate...Well, I hope your Friday speeds by - I will be at a face to face induction course tomorrow (how much induction can a person do??!), Grandma and Bandit will be babysitting Pursz, wish them luck!! Snuggles for Noah please, and a bit of spare Sydney sunshine for you both, leejaye
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, it's always a blessing logging in to share your news. Your precious Purszival is quite the acrobat!! I can envision your Purszival going through all of his "moves" and poor Bandit - - "hey, what - - where did that come from?? Who did that?? Ohhhh -- okay Mr. Purszival - - just you wait - - hey - - that's not fair!!" Watching our furkids is more entertaining that watching the "stuff" on TV.

We could use some Aussie sunshine. We're only in the 60's here - - about 25 degrees cooler than normal, and it's cloudy. Definitely feels like autumn, and next week autumn will officially begin.

I hope you and your precious Purszival will have a very pleasant and blissful evening, and a wonderful weekend. As I give my little Noah his "auntie leejaye" hugs, please give your precious Purszival "auntie moon_beam" hugs. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
leejaye
Hey moon_beam, Yet again thanks for taking the time!...Watching those boys is way better than tv! We also have heaps of different birds who visit - the boys and I both enjoy watching them...Poor Purszi, it was his first real day wihtout me, but bandit went to get clipped today, so he didn't have bandit either, apparently my brother played with him until Purszi stalked his feet with serious intent...more induction tomorrow (Sunday, how rude!), I guess Mr Pursz and i have to get used to it, sigh...I know my sunny day pictures of Purszi will get me through, I hope he understands, I have talked to him about the necessity for work...anyway my friend, sending that auntie leejaye cuddle for Noah as always (I got Pursz at a good moment and he liked the one you sent!!), hope you guys stay home in blissful peace this weekend! Leejaye PS The brief bits I saw of outside today were actually hot, you can sure have some of that sunshine!
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, it is always a blessing sharing your news of you and your precious Purszival. I know how difficult this adjustment is going to be for you and your little boy. Three years after my last surgery on my right leg I had to return to work so that I would be assured of Medicare and Social Security when I become eligible. I can only work part time, but even that was very hard for me to adjust to after enjoying being a "stay at home mom" with my furkids. You and your precious little boy WILL BE okay, my friend. Don't put any pressure on yourself to "do" something unless you're feeling up to it. You are entering a "new dimension of the 'Twilight Zone'" - - so give you and your precious Purszival LOTS of time to adjust to this new chapter in your lives together. I know you treasure this very special time you have with your precious Purszival. With this new chapter in your lives together, the time you share together will be treasured even more so.

I hope the induction training is going well, and that you are finding this "preview" to your new job exciting. When you and Purszival have a moment, please give him a hug from his "auntie moon_beam" as I will be giving my Noah a hug from his "auntie leejaye." Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Dear moon_beam, Just a quick note to say thankyou for your kind and wise words, again!! I have tomorrow off before I officially start, my first day is one more day of, you guessed it, induction!! Bandit was with Purszi today, so i didn't worry about him quite as much (although perhaps I should have - those two have a tendency to hatch plots between them - like how to steal my piece of toast off the table, or let the other one out of the room they were secured in... all instances where two animals are guaranteed success, but one might fail in a solo mission) - I will post a proper Purszi update in the next couple of days, until then, my friend, hugs for Noah from his Australian auntie - hugs for you too! Hope the days fly so you can be home with your boy, Leejaye
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Purszival are doing. Ah yes - - the "plot" - - it is evidence that "two minds are better than one" as the saying goes. BUT it depends on what those "two minds" are up to - - for sure!!! I can just see your precious Purszival and his "partner in crime" Bandit plotting their next escapade together. Now, since our fur kids and fur friends can plan out - - and execute - - their action plans so successfully, it sort of makes us wonder - - or at least makes me wonder -- why I can't be as efficieint!!!

I hope today is being kind to you and your precious Purszival, my friend. Hugs to your little boy and you from "auntie moon_beam" as I give my precious Noah his "auntie leejaye" hugs. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Hi moon_beam! Official day 4 of the job tomorrow! It's more good than bad, I'm pleased to say - but the very best thing is coming home to purry Purszival! He's not a cuddly boy (Aww mum, put me down!), but he purrs and purrs and asks for all his favourite pats when I get home - it's the loveliest greeting! My start time is late enough to take him out in the garden on his harness for an hour or so before I leave - we are back where we usually live, he hasn't had Bandit, so I'm trying to make sure he at least gets some outdoor game time (he loves it so much). Hopefully I can work out visits to his dog friend at least once a week! Hope all is well with you and Noah, give him some more cuddles from Auntie Leejaye, and huge hugs to you my friend, Leejaye PS I really think I could learn things if only I could clearly hear the fabulous plots and plans of Purszi and Bandit when they are together!
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Purszival are doing. I have been thinking about you and wondering how your job is going so far. So glad to share with you that so far it is going well. Yes, I know all about those squirmmy greetings - - secretly deep down inside they LOVE the mommy mushy stuff. I'm so glad you and your precious little boy still have some garden time together in the morning. That is so very special. Sounds like Purszival is enduring this new routine. As long he has YOU, my friend he can adjust to just about anything. And I do so know what you mean about getting a good education if you could hear the conversations between your precious Purszival and his buddy Bandit. If only we could talk to our furkids in a common language.

Life here is going okay. My Noah is letting me know that it's time for his dinner - - his tummy is an alarm clock for sure. I hope you and your precious little boy will have a very peaceful and blissful evening, my friend. Hugs to you and your precious Purszival from "auntie moon_beam" at the same time I am giving my precious Noah is "auntie leejaye" hug. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Hi, leejaye, just stopping by to say hello to you and your precious Purszival. I hope you have survived the first week into your new job - - and new routine. I hope you and your little boy are having a peaceful weekend together. It's amazing how quickly Monday mornings roll around again to start the "work routine".

Noah is doing well. He's getting a bit perturbed with our "rainy" season at the moment. Although the sun has played "peek-a-boo" through the clouds once in awhile it has been very short-lived. The sunshine may return on a more constant basis come Wednesday or Thursday. With the rain we have been having I will definitely need to fire up the lawnmower again - hopefully for the last time of the "mowing" season. Then I will have the annual raking of the leaves to begin.

Hope you and your precious Purszival are having a very peaceful and pleasant day. Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,

Hey moon_beam & Noah, Thanks so much for stopping by to see how we are doing! My roster at the moment gives me sunday and monday off - this sunday i was also meant to do a market stall with a friend who has MS (she bakes, I make jams, etc) - the first sunday in ages that was cold and windy and rainy! we didn't go - too cold for her (and me), and i was so tired (I got up at 5am for the markets before we decided we wouldn't go, and this full time work thing is bigger than I remembered!), poor Mr Pursz wanted to go out but settled for sleeping with me for about 4 hrs in the afternoon! Today the sun was out and we made the most of it on his harness, trotting around the garden, stealing tails fom the tiny little skink lizards, and swatting white cabbage moths...We'll have more time tomorrow morning, I'll try to get some pics...Hope the sun came out for Noah and you so you could get the lawn done and enjoy some out door time before the week starts again, auntie leejaye pats for noah please, hugs for you, i hope your week goes swiftly and smoothly my friend, Leejaye
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Purszival are doing. So sorry that your and your friend's market day didn't work out, but it is best not to venture forth when the weather is truly unfriendly. Perhaps next month? Or whenever you can get another booth.

So glad you and your precious little boy are enjoying some garden time today. The clouds continue here with the ongoing threat of rain. But whatever the weather my little Noah somehow seems to find enjoyment hanging out with his mom - - for which I am very blessed.

Hope your day back in the office tomorrow will be a good one. Yeah - - it's definitely a BIG CHANGE to the 9 to 5 routine. Thank you for the gift of your friendship, Leejaye, and of your precious Purszival. Hugs to you and your precious little boy from auntie moon_beam, as I give my little Noah his auntie leejaye hugs. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

leejaye
Hi moon_beam, Thanks for stopping in! Yep, we'll just try again next month with the markets, at least jams keep! I think Purszi learnt how to bring a ball back to me this evening - he loves to play with scrunched up balls of paper, I just throw them and get the most amazing contortions in an amazingly small space (almost on the spot actually) from him in his efforts to chase and catch it, so far he hasn't got "bring it back" (I've been getting it and bringing it back to him while saying that) - tonight he did it about 10 times before he smelt my dinner coming out of the kitchen, impossible to concentrate on anything else then!! Well, work again tomorrow, hope your day goes speedily so you can get home to your boy (don't forget his auntie leejaye hug!), Leejaye

PS Of course Noah enjoys hanging out with his mum, and you're right - it is a true blessing. Thankyou so much for your friendship.
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, it is a real treat logging in to catch up on how you and your precious Purszival are doing. I'm smiling at your and Purszival's play time together. This is very special time for you both. Perhaps someday your smart little boy will surprise you with a "bring back"!!

We have finally seen some SUN here again, and it's a nice change from the weeks of cloudy, rainy, foggy brain numbing weather. Today we were in the low 80's. By the time the weekend arrives we will be in temperatures 20 degrees cooler - - but continuing sunshine. So that will be nice.

I hope you and your precious little boy are having a very peaceful and blissful evening. Auntie moon-beam hugs to you and your precious Purszival, as I give Noah auntie leejaye hugs. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Dear moon_beam and Noah, One more day to go in my working week! My Mr Purszival is full of beans tonight, great chasing games, and he still likes to play his version of hide and seek (we both duck behind something, pop up to look, he progressively creeps close enough to leap on me - "Found you!!"), so that's our night tonight! He's chewing on a cardboard box right now - he has some decidedly dog like traits!!! I hope I can get some more pics of him on my weekend, he's growing so quickly and he's so handsome (I think)...I hope your Friday goes quickly, and that the sun stays out for you both, huge hugs for you my friend, and of course auntie leejaye snuggles for Noah (I gave Pursz his Auntie moon_beam hugs at the right moment again and he purred hugely!!), Leejaye PS "Bring it back" is progressing, the thing I love about cats is that it is entirely at their discretion to actually "Bring it back", it's not a taught trick, I really think they choose...
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, always a blessing checking in to see how things are going for you and your precious Purszival. Aren't games with our furkids so fun???!!!! Sometimes my Noah and I will play "attack" with each other. He will get into a crouching position, and I'll bend over as far as I safely can with my hands arms bent and will do a little two step toward him, and he'll wag his little bottom a bit with his tail swishing back and forth, and then at that right moment we'll both touch each other - - and he'll go scamperng away a distance and then whirl around to see if I'm looking. I agree with you - - "the thing I love about cats is that it is entirely at their discretion".

I hope you and your precious Purszival will have a very peaceful evening and a wonderful weekend. If you do get pictures of your little boy, I would love to see one / them - - if you'd like to post them. My very best regards to you both with hugs to you and your precious little boy, as I give my Noah his auntie leejaye hugs - - which brings a big grin to his face. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Hi moon_beam and Noah, Purszi does the wiggle bottom and tail move when he gets ready to stalk - you're right, fur kid games are great! We didn't get to visit Bandit on our weekend - the weather was horrible yesterday (rainy, windy and cold), we slept late and went outside for about 10 minutes to see exactly how horrible it was, trying to convince Purszi he should stay in, I think he was mostly convinced...today was much better and we spent most of the day outside with me following him around on his harness (who's leading who??!) - highlight of the day? He met a blue tongued lizard (these lizards are great for keeping the snails under control and really inoffensive beings!) - I kept his curiousity at bay by shortening his lead!! Hope you and Noah had a lovely weekend break together, give him his special pat please, Purszi sends some big purrs in thanks for snuggles from his faraway Auntie, hugs for you my friend, hope the world is nice to you, leejaye

Hi Leejaye....Oh my, when I saw the bottom pic, I thought it was a huge lizard. Do those lizards bite, I mean other than snails?.......I"m sorry you and Purszi didn't get to visit Bandit. I know Bandit misses you both. I wonder what Bandit would do with one of those lizards. smile.gif ..........Purszi is so pretty. Years ago my mom had a cat of that color and she would have only one kitten and it would die.....

Leejaye, thanks for sharing the pics of Purszi and the lizard......I'm always thinking of your Angel Mischief. I hope you are doing better in your grief journey.....

Loads of Hugs,

LoveMyMickey
leejaye
Hi LoveMyMickey, That's really sad about the cat your Mom had...The blue tongue lizards only bite if you mess with them - usually they run away if they see people, this guy was out enjoying the sunshine and chasing a lady blue tongue (it IS spring!) when Purszi found him, I think Bandit would go nuts if he saw one - bounce and bark all over the place at it!! We miss bandit but should get to visit soon...hope today has smiles in it for you my friend, sending huge hugs, Leejaye PS thinking of our Angel Kids all the time
moon_beam
Hi, leejaye, as always it is a blessing to log in to share your news of how you and your precious Purszival are doing. Thanking you along with LoveMyMickey for the wonderful pictures of your precious little boy. I'm so o o chuckling about your "mighty hunter" versus the lizards. We have wee little lizards here, and each of my kitty furkids LOVED playing with them, and yes, eventually feasting on them. Since Noah does not venture outside anymore he has to wait for them to find their way inside through the tiny crevices - - which sometimes they do - - and then the hunt is on. I hear they taste like chicken, but I wouldn't want to have to know that first hand.

Our weather has turned quite brisk here at night in the 40's, but we have been enjoying wonderful sunny days with temps in the 70's. I love this type of weather and wish we could have it year round. It has been too cool, though, to have the big door open and gated off, but Noah still enjoys stretching out in the sunbeams that come in through the windows.

I hope your week at work is going well for you. Noah and I send our hugs and purrs to you and your precious Purszival, and Noah and I sincerely thank you for your and Purszival's greetings as well. Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

leejaye
Hi moon_beam and Noah, Purszi loves chasing those tiny lizards too! I've noticed quite a number since he arrived who have lost their tails! I freaked out the other day when we were outside - he turned around with what i thought was a tiny lizard corpse hanging from his mouth, I got him to spit it out and the little lizard took off in to the garden (I hope the lizard realised the narrow escape he had) I praised Purszi for his hunting skills and told him we'd save that lizard for next time (although i really hope he doesn't catch it again - but Purszi is a cat, doing what comes naturally...) Hmm, taste like chicken? I agree, let's not find out for ourselves!! I'm so glad you guys are enjoying some nice weather with some sun for Noah to stretch out in, I don't think I've seen other animals enjoy a patch of sunshine quite like a cat...Halfway through the working week today so it's all downhill to slide to our weekend and two days of freedom with my boy - I hope the rest of your week flies so you can get home to your boy, please give him some auntie leejaye snuggles, Mr Purszival is sleeping at the moment, so he sends some tiny little cat snores to you both and I'm sending my biggest hugs for the true kindness of your friendship, Leejaye
moon_beam
My dear friends, leejaye and Purszival, Noah and I send you our Thursday greetings hoping they find you both doing well and in good spirits. I'm so chuckling about your "great hunter" Purszival. I'm wondering what his reaction was when you rescued the lizard from him. My furkids were not always appreciative of mommy's "right to life" stance for all creatures - - especially when they had gone to all the work to catch their prize!!!

We have been having some really beautiful autumn weather this week -- highs in the mid 70's with lots of sunshine. Just PERFECT weather - - wish it could stay this way all year long. When I got home today I changed into my yard work clothes and mowed the back yard. I think the last time I mowed the back yard was July???? My focus has had to be on keeping the front yard groomed during the heat of the summer so that no one driving by would think that the house was abandoned. Then we got days and days and days of rain and chilly weather. So, this is really the first time in weeks that I've actually had the chance to tackle the back yard. I'm hoping it is the LAST mowing of the season. There are a LOT of acorns on the ground already, which makes me very leery of what may be coming in terms of winter weather. Ohh - - I am so NOT a winter person anymore.

Thank your precious Purszival for us for his wonderful purr / snore greetings, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the blessing of your cherished friendship. Noah and I send our purrs and hugs to you and your precious Purszival, as I give my precious Noah hugs from his auntie leejaye - - and I'll do my best to imitate Purzival's greetings as well - - but I know my "purr" sounds are a very poor imitation.

Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and always look forward to sharing your news. I am SO GLAD tomorrow is F R I D A Y!!!!

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Hi, leejaye and Purszival, Noah and I are stopping by to say hello and to check in to see how life is treating you. It is Sunday evening here, which means tomorrow is back to the slave pit for me. Oh these weekends go by too too too quickly.

It has been a very pretty autumn weekend. The squirrels have been entertaining Noah as they feast on the bountiful acorns that are already blanketing the ground. I hope this is not a preview to the coming winter - - I am so NOT a winter person anymore.

Noah is doing well. We have been watching Sean Connery Bond movies today. At the moment Thunderball is on which is the first Bond movie I saw when it hit the theaters.

I hope you and your precious Purszival are doing well. Perhaps you have been able to visit with your mum and Bandit this weekend. It's getting close to Noah's dinner hour, and he is letting me know about it, too. His tummy is a meal alarm clock for sure. Both Noah and I are sending you and your precious Purszival purrs and hugs, as I give my Noah hugs and purrs from his auntie leejaye and friend Purszival. Please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Dear moon_beam and Noah, I'm so sorry about our delay in getting back to you - I finish work at 6pm every night, by the end of my week (Saturday night) I've been a bit tired and brain scattered. Yesterday I played with Purszi, had an afternoon nap with him and still fell asleep early! Thankyou so much for stopping in and sharing your Noah with me! I hope the weather let you tackle the yard and still get plenty of time with your boy - we don't get squirrels here, but I have a brush tailed possum living in the garage - she came out with her baby on her back the other night, I got Purszi and showed him, he stared and stared from the safety of my arms, "But mum, what IS it??"
Ha, I used to have moviethons with Mischief when the weather was ordinary - she liked Audrey Hepburn! Purszi is still a bit young to sit still for long (although I got him and Bandit to watch some of Milo and Otis when I was at Mum's house!).
I know what you mean about Alarm Clock Tummies - I don't need one in the morning, Purszi is right there letting me know it's time to get up and attend to the really important things, like feeding him!
Hope you have a great day my friend, please give Noah his favourite Auntie Leejaye pats and accept my hugest hugs for yourself (and of course the Purry One sends his loudest!! I do a good meow but likewise have never mastered purring!!)

PS I have been looking at cat play tunnels for ages - but they are quite expensive, I found a cheap kids one which I bought for him - he loves it!! I don't know who enjoyed it more, him playing in it or me watching him play in it!! Here are some pics

Dear leejaye, so good logging in to get caught up on your news. Oh how well I know about being "tired and brain scattered" after a day in the trenches. No apologies needed, my friend.

Thank you soo o o much for these WONDERFUL pictures of your precious Purszival playing in his tunnel!!! Oh yes - - isn't it amazing how expensive even the simplest of toys can be?? I'm THRILLED that you found one that fit your budget. Just remember: Your Purszival doesn't care how much it cost - - he just knows it comes from your heart overflowing with love for him. That's all that counts!!!

I can just see your Purszival's big eyes as he looked at the possum mum and baby. It is SO O O O wonderful sharing our furkids' world through their eyes.

I'm so glad your little boy and Bandit had a good time watching a movie together. Did you give them any "movie treats" during the movie?

Looks like you have won the "collar" war of the wills (thank goodness - - I hope). Your Purszival has the sweetest little face - - I hope the collar boo boos have healed okay.

I am home now with my little Noah for the evening, four more days to go until another weekend!!! I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, leejaye, and of your precious Purszival. Noah and I send our purrs and hugs to you and your little boy, as I give my precious Noah his special auntie leejaye hugs and your precious Purszival's purr greetings. I hope you and your precious Purszival will have a very peaceful and blissful evening, please know you both are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,

Dear moon_beam and Noah, Thankyou so much for stopping by! I started work at 6am this morning - the bonus was finishing at 2pm to be home with Purszi!! I've taken the laptop out in the yard to watch Purszi stalk little lizards, bits of plant, random shadows - you know how these mighty hunters are!! There have been some spectacular leaps in pursuit of his various prey! Hmm, we changed collars again (!!), we'll see how long it lasts - he hasn't hurt himself this time, but the last wound has only just healed because every time it was nearly good he scratched it again (I figure it was like when we hurt ourselves and it gets itchy when nearly healed)...I should have thought of movie treats for the boys, Bandit has a short attention span and kept interrupting the movie to play with Purszi, treats might have kept him more focused!! Ha, the beginning of the 4th week of my full time work return and I am so loudly joining you in the days to weekend countdown! I hope your work goes smoothly and swiftly this week - huge hugs for you my friend and Noah's favourite Auntie Leejaye snuggle to him, Pursz sends purrs! (Thanks so very much for our hugs and purry greetings!), I hope your world has sunshine in it today, Leejaye

Hi, leejaye and Purszival, Noah and I send you our rainy Tuesday evening greetings hoping this finds the both of you doing well and in good spirits. So glad you were able to get home to your precious Purszival early today. I'm so sorry that Purszival continues to have "collar rejection" issues. It is good you are persevering in persisting that he wear a collar. Hopefully he will get the message and agree with you that he is totally handsome wearing his collar.

I hope your day tomorrow at work will be a decent one for you. I know your precious Purszival will be eagerly anticipating the moment he hears your key in the lock and sees you coming through the door again. Thank you, leejaye, for the blessing of your cherished friendship and of your precious Purszival. Noah and I send you both our purrs and hugs, as I give Noah his auntie leejaye hugs and Purszival's friendly purr greetings. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Hi moon_beam and Noah, Thankyou so much for dropping by - I'm sorry you have rainy weather, I hope you both curled up warm and snuggled together for the evening. It's a little chilly here tonight and Mr Purszival has stolen my furry lounge blanket again! He went for a walk with me tonight when I got home, and then played in his tunnel when I said we had to go in cos it was getting dark...he is such a good boy and seems to understand so much that I say to him...Hope the day flies for you and Noah - the sound of that key in the lock must be something both our boys wait for - sending you hugest hugs (me) and purrs and legrubs (Pursz) and our biggest thanks for your kind thoughts and friendship (both of us), Leejaye PS Special Auntie Leejaye snuggles for that Noah boy please! I never asked you what colour he is, I think Tom's dad said he looks a bit like Tom's picture?

Hi, leejaye and Purzival, greetings to you both from Noah and me on this rainy Wednesday evening. I hope this finds each of you doing well and in good spirits. Our furkids DO understand what we say to them. And like all young children they don't always appreciate it - - and sometimes have very selective "listening" skills. But there's NO MISTAKE when it is obvious that they AGREE with what we say to them!!!! (It's time for dinner. Would you like a treat? I love you!! etc.)

If you go to my topic on "Abbygayle's Journey" you will see a picture of him with his beautiful baby sister. He is grey and white.

It is definitely autumn here. Noah is enjoying snuggling with the warmth of the heating pad through the blankets. I put a heating pad on my feet and legs in the evening. Soon I will need to wash the electric blanket so that it will be ready to put on the bed in the next couple of weeks or so. Noah thoroughly enjoyed the electric blanket last winter, as did I. Now that he only has me to cuddle with it's not the same as curling up with the soft warm body of another fur family member. So, the heating pad and the electric blanket help to bridge the difference. I also have a fleece throw that I put over him in the evenings now, and he gets nice and warm and snuggly. It is so sweet to watch him sleep under his blanket.

I hope you and your precious Purszival will have a very peaceful and blissful evening, my friend. Noah and I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Leejaye, and of your precious Purszival. Thank you both for your hugs and purrs, as Noah and I send you both purrs and hugs across the cyber miles. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Peace and blessings,

Dear moon_beam and Noah, Ha! I agree completely with you about feline selective listening! Again, it's one of the things I love about them! Mischief just loved getting into bed when it was a bit chilly - more and more as she got older (like me!), and when it was time to get the electric blanket out she'd try to get into bed when she saw you turn it on! When she was sick she liked me to make her a blanket and cushion cave with a hot water bottle wrapped up in her favourite blanket buried in the depths...I got some pics of Mr Purszi meeting the possum (from a distance) last night - I've posted a couple of them, this is turning into the Purszi meets Wildlife thread! I hope your Friday working hours fly, thankyou so much for your kind thoughts and greetings, I appreciate them so much. Hugs for you and Auntie Leejaye snuggles for Noah, Mr Purszi is asleep on my (i mean, his) blanket and sends some sleepy toe stretches, Leejaye

Hi, leejaye, greetings to you and your precious Purszival from Noah and me. It's always a blessing logging in and sharing your news and latest adventures. WOW!! The possum comes into your house!! He's quite a nice looking fellow, - - the possums we have here are not quite so nice looking, and can be quite vicious if they feel trapped. Their teeth are fashioned for doing some real damage if provoked. How did you keep your Purszival from a "nose to nose" meet and greet?

I know your beloved Mischief totally feels like she received the "royal treatment" with the hot water bottle, cushion, blankets, and her mum's tender loving care. And she is telling everyone in heaven's perfect garden how you took such good care of her during her earthly journey. Can you feel your crown of love from your beloved Mischief?

I'm home now with my precious Noah, and am looking forward to the weekend with him. I hope life is treating you and your precious Purszival kindly, and that you both will have a very peaceful and blissful evening. Thank you for the blessing of your friendship, leejaye, and of your precious Purszival. Noah and I send our purrs and hugs to you both, as I give Noah his auntie leejaye hugs and Purszival's purrs and rubs, too. Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news.

Dear moon_beam and Noah, Sorry for the lack of reply - the brain fade got me again on Saturday night! Yesterday and today have been gloriously sunny and Purszival and I have spent most of the day pottering in the garden (well, I pottered, he chased those poor little lizards - he is indeed the Mighty Hunter!.) The possum pics are in the little room I made at the back of the garage (not really a room I guess, a comfy lounge and tv and video screened off by a wardrobe and bookcases - Mischief just loved sitting down there, we called it the Library or the Movie Room depending on what we were doing!) - Purszi hasn't been down there much, but I just had to take him down to show him the possum, I put his harness on him and I think he was a little nervous of this strange new animal so was happy to stay in my arms! Our possums have usually been super polite - maybe something to do with the bits of fruit I leave out there for them! Other people around here have problems with them eating vegetables and plants growing in their gardens, but they have never touched mine! I hope you and Noah had a wonderfully peaceful weekend together, I thankyou both so much for your friendship. I better go now, Mr Purszi is squeaking to go outside (he still has a tiny little meow, I don't know if it's going to get any bigger!) and enjoy the last couple of hours of sunshine - huge hugs and purrs to you both, thanks for the ones you sent us!! Thinking of you both, Leejaye

Hi, leejaye, it's always good logging in to share your news. Noah and I send you and your precious Purszival our greetings from Virginia. The room sounds very special and comfy. I'm glad your Pruszival preferred the safey of his mum's arms in his meeting of the "woodland resident." How special that you put treats out for them - - one good deed leads to another - - not raiding your garden.

I'm so glad you and your precious Purszival have enjoyed a very pleasant weekend, and did my Noah and me. I hope your week in the trenches goes well for you. I just have tomorrow to get through and then I am home with my little boy for the rest of the week. Noah has his annual check up on Wednesday - - I'm not expecting anything but a good report.

Noah and I send you and your precious Purszival our purrs and hugs, and thank you both for your greetings and hugs. Plesae know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, and always look forward to sharing your news and your cherished memories of your beloved Mischief.

Peace and greetings,

Dear moon_beam and Noah, Sorry for the long delay in getting back here! It's my Sunday (Monday really) and the weather has been revoltingly hot, Purszi and i went outside for about half an hour - I had to bring him in and cool him down with some ice cubes in his water and a sit in the cold bathtub (no water!), the temperature has dropped about 10 degrees (celsius, not sure what that is in fahrenheit) in the last hour and it looks like a storm is coming, Purszi and i are trying to make up for lost garden time before it gets here. I can hear distant thunder but Purszival seems completely unfazed by it (Mischief was terrified of thunder and hid under the nearest blanket or bed if it was loud enough)...Purszi has been rediscovering the joy of climbing trees but went too high for me to get him and for him to get down, he pretty much fell out after sliding for a bit, luckily Greg managed to catch him at the start of the fall, he hasn't tried to climb that high again (Yet)! He went for a visit at Grandma's house when i was at work last week, Mum said Bandit and Purszi's initial meeting was joy filled but they then proceeded to ignore each other for the rest of the day, sigh...I might try again this week...I hope all is well in your world and that the working week flies for you (mine seemed twice as long this last week, I swear something happens to the space time continuum in that place!), huge hugs for you and Noah's favourite Auntie leejaye pats, Purszival sends his biggest purrs, and thankyou again for your friendship, thinking of you both, Leejaye
PS I've attached a picture of Purszi as he was being caught from his tree fall! And also a picture of Bandit in his smart blue sailor collar for LoveMyMickey, my brother took the picture before Bandit's haircut but he still looks cute!!

Hi Leejaye my friend....It's good to see you. Awwww, Bandit is so cute in his sailor collar. Doesn't matter if he needs a haircut or not, he is sooooo cute and precious.....So Mr. Purszival is a climber, but daddy was there for the rescue.

Leejaye, I hope your work weeks become more peaceful for you. Always remember you and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Big hugs to you and give big belly rubs to Purszi and Bandit for me. Always thinking of Angel Mischief.......God Bless.

Hi, leejaye, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Purszival are doing. So glad your adventurer was able to get back to firm turf without any mishaps on the way down. My Noah is a tree climber, too, but thankfully he only climbed to the first limb above the ground so that I could bend the limb down and he could use my back as a ramp back down to the ground. Now that he is an indoor kitty I don't miss the worry of his chasing a squirrel up a tree further than what I could reach him. But - - I'm not telling Noah this.

It's common for two fur friends who are comfortable with one another to meet and greet one another and then go do their "own thing". This is actually good news. I agree with LoveMyMickey - - Bandit is adorable - - haircut or no haircut, and the blue bandana is stunning on him. He is such a cutie.

Leejaye, thank you so much for the blessing of your friendship, and of your precious Purszival. Noah and I send you both our purrs and hugs, and thank you both for your warm greetings across the big pond. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers, and look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam and Noah

leejaye Purzi is adorable - and apparently has the acrobat gene in common with my Tang. Good thing someone was there to catch him wink.gif

Hi guys, I'm home sick from work today - Purszival is sooo pleased!! He can't understand why we're not outside playing but has settled for tearing in and out of his tunnel and stalking my foot! Dear moon_beam, my boy seems to have a little in common with both of yours - he is quite fond of using my back or an arm or leg as a bridge to get wherever he's going if it's convenient...Good to hear that Bandit and Purszival's reacquaintance was pretty normal behaviour, I want to organise another visit for them soon!! I'm glad you and LoveMyMickey enjoyed the Bandit pics - he has the funniest personality to go with those cute looks...Thanks Tom's Dad and LoveMyMickey - it was a really good thing that someone was there to catch Purszi!! Mmm, I agree, it sounds like Tang and Purszival do share that acrobat gene! Well, I hope the rest of the working week speeds by for you and that the universe is super kind to all of you, sending huge hugs and an Auntie Leejaye snuggle for Noah, Tang and Theresa, thinking of you all, Leejaye PS Mr Purszi sends those big purrs!

Hi, leejaye, thank you so very much for sharing with us how you're doing. I am so sorry you are not feeling well today. You are under a lot of stress getting used to an entirely new routine of life, and so your immune system is on overload. Your precious Purszival is trying to make you feel better by entertaining you with his high energy. The tunnel sounds like a GREAT exercise for him, and a great source of enjoyment for you watching him.

Hope you and your precious little boy have been able to find lots of quality snuggle time today to help you feel better. Thank you so much for sharing with us how things are going for you and your precious Purszival, my friend. Noah and I send you and your precious little boy purrs and auntie moon_beam hugs, as I share your precious little boy's purrs and auntie leejaye hugs with my precious Noah. Please know you and your precious little boy are in my thoughts and prayers, thank you for the blessing of your cherished friendship, please know that I always look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Hi, leejaye and Purszival, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing, and these wonderful pictures. Yes, Purszival - - my furkids also enjoyed the long grass when they went outside - - ever so much easier to stalk the unsuspecting prey.

Leejaye, your Purzival is a real sweetie. Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful pictures of your little boy. I hope you and your precious little boy will have a very peaceful and blissful evening, my friend, and that your day tomorrow will be a decent one for you in your job. Noah and I send you both our deepest thank yous for your most welcome and treasured friendship. Noah sends his purrs and hugs to Purszival and his auntie leejaye, and I send my warmest hugs to you both as well. Hi, leejaye and Purszival, greetings to you from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds the both of you doing well and in good spirits. Just stopping by to say hello. Not much noteworthy news to share. It's Sunday here -- perhaps Monday in your part of the globe. Never can get this time thing straight. I have clocks all over the house so that I can at least try to keep the time straight here!!!

Noah is doing well. We have had chilly weather recently, but we're in for a little bit of a warm up according to the forecast. I'm happy for that. A warmer winter with no ice or snow would suit me just fine. But then I'm a very senior citizen now. My viewpoints were completely opposite when I was younger. The reflection of age.

Earlier this year all the properties in the region underwent a new assessment for tax purposes. I got my assessment in the mail this week and my tax assessment has not changed. That's the good news. In the local paper there was an article about what the county lawmakers would do with the tax rate. Many properties were re-assessed lower because of the artificial inflation they had been assessed at before the huge real estate bust. So the lawmakers are considering raising the tax rate - - which means that beginning next year I will be paying MORE taxes on an assessment that hasn't changed - - to compensate for the assessments that were lowered. This does have me a bit concerened about eventually being forced out of my home because I may not be able to pay the taxes. This has happened to many people - - older people. I'll just have to wait to see what the lawmakers do.

I hioe life is treating you and your precious Purszival kindly. Other than the taxes and the job all is well here. Please know you and your precious Purszival are in my thoughts and prayers. Noah and I send you both purrs and auntie moon_beam hugs, as I share your and your precious Purszival's auntie leejaye hugs and purrs with my precious Noah. Look forward to sharing your news whenever possible.

Peace and blessings,
