That's funny Gretta's Mom, I use to sing to Lucky as well. When we would go to the vet, I would sing to him to make him feel comfortable. Never really thought about it until the tech said, "I've never heard someone sing to their pet before". I said, "really?...I sing to him all the time".

my precious baby is Star, she was a Rottweiler and my service dog. She had cancer and the vet couldn't control her pain any longer, she went to wait for me at the rainbow bridge this morning at about 9:30 am central time, this is my first night without her, God I miss her please take me too

My beautiful border collie Lola - nickname 'loops'. Adopted June 2005 aged approx 18 months, passed away 15 Jan 2010. No more barking when the ice cream van comes around or when Harry the neighbours west highland terrier goes out for his walk. I havent been able to go to your favourite place the beach yet. I miss you so much baby I wish you were here lying on your back again next to my leg having your belly tickled. I am so sorry I took you to the vet that final day, when all you wanted was a walk, if it ended anything you were suffering loops, thats all that matters.
It took me nine years to have a dog in the house, if it takes another ninety years I will never stop missing you ***x

Trevor - the bravest little dog that ever lived.
He came to live with us on May 23, 2009 and left this world on July 22, 2011. We were together for one day shy of 2 years and 2 months.
Trevor was adopted, having many unknown neurologic problems, and when we found this out we loved him even more. My goal was to make every day left in Trevor's life the best one yet. I hope I met that goal, my sweet boy.

Richie came into my life just over seven years ago, at about 3 years old. He was a shy boy, but overcame that with time. He was the best-behaved kitty I've ever had, and was a consistent love-bug whether I was going through bad times or good. Richie became very ill and died within a few days, a week ago. I will always love this sweet, sweet boy.
I grew up with multiple pets, and for most of my life have had several at one time. This was the first time I lost an 'only' furbaby. As I've done before, I've brought someone new into my home, in tribute to Richie and my other previous pets, to give a home to someone who very much needed it, and to have the comfort of a kitty. I'll be grieving for a while, I know. But to me, taking in a new pet is the best way to honor my others.
