Hi Gillian, I was so hoping that cat was Darcey. I don't understand that woman's reasoning for setting it "free". In a shelter it would be safe and fed and well taken care of. I still haven't given up hope. Thoughts and prayers still traveling across the pond to you and Darcey. Ann

Hey everyone,

16 days missing now. I don't mean to despair but it feels like its been so long that I may never see her again. I was full of hope at the beginning, but where could she have gone in over 2 weeks? I don't understand why, despite all my searching, I haven't found her. I worry shes been stolen ...

This is a photo of the cat we thought might have been Darcey, but if you look at her face against Darcey's face in earlier pics, you'll see why I felt it wasn't her from the start. By aren't they so alike?

My fiancé took her back to the woman who had caught her that evening, who immediately took her out the back yard and let her go. Ironically enough the cat came back to my fiancé, rubbed up against him and didn't leave while he were there, which was heartbreaking as he had to leave her there. I hope she'll be ok. But I felt I had no choice. The woman was adamant that I brought the cat back to be released.

I know it gets very difficult. Just hang in there and don't give up hope okay.

There is so much hope out here from all of us.

I'm so sorry your family is still going through this. But unless and until, heaven forbid, someone finds her little body, I continue to hope and pray for you to be reunited with her.

Whoever this cat is, is so cute and very attacted your fiancee. I'm really having a hard time again with why she would want that cat back only to release it. Would you concider taking her back or is that out of the question? I guess if you wanted you could put an add in the newspaper about a found cat, discription and in the vicinity of..very strange she would do that. Anyways still hoping for a reunion for you and Darcey...Ann

Ann, I very much doubt it. The cat will be long gone by now. I felt obliged to do what the woman wanted. She was quite adamant that she wanted the cat to be returned to her yard. She insisted.

Dear Gillian,

I hope that you are feeling better and Joey is doing O.K. with his teething. I'm with Beth when she say's she hasn't given up hope that Darcey will find her way back home.
