Dear Pamela,
We have never had any trouble with any of the kitties and my husband's bird Chico being together. They often are together in the floor, they get on his cage, and the kitties even sit on Clair's lap when he has Chico.
All of the cats were grown except for 1 when we got Chico and still they don't bother him. The kitten used to play with him when she little but when she got grown she would lay beside Chico but not play. We never bring our daughter's one cat over who hunts and kills birds. We wont risk Chico's life like that.
Now I was always very leary about Snookie with Chico more so than I was with the kitties because Snookie would sit and lick her lips at him so we did not let her get close to him. Chico says about 80 different things and he used to say Snookie want out? He has not said it since Snookie died.
Love, Ann
Here is a picture with Amber with Chico on top of his cage. He is a small bird by my husband got him a cage almost 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide. Clair said he wanted him to have a castle and it is huge!

Now, that is an awesome pic, I love it. I find that surprising! I knew some people once that had a large parrot, they thought it was neat how they taught it to whistle the mexican hat dance, well months later I stopped by and the bird was moved out of the living room. It whistled that tune non stop I guess.

Hey there Steve!
Dont let the pic fool you! Summer was the boss for sure, she wasnt real fond of Gato, he took alot of *** from my Summer girl, she was a little tom boy

I used to take Summer for walks on her leash she would just trot along beside me. People have stopped to take pictures of me walking her. I loved her very much. Pamela

Hi Pamela, We never taught Chico to whistle since we wanted him to talk instead. Once when Clair was going to go to the store to get a pop Chico said Bring me back one too. We laughed so hard, he hasn't ever had a drink of it but wanted one. Clair wanted me to put his picture on here of him and Chico so you could see how much he loves his boy. So here it is.

Dear Libby,
Thanks for your kind words.............I do apologize for never posting about your precious Dieter. I just went through all of the posts I have made since joining and realized I have never posted about him

. I have been trying to keep up with all of the posts and am finding that task nearly impossible. It will be even harder next week, when I return to work

. Yes, Rusty was a real love. Dieter was simply adorable.
Take care for now.

I really did'nt know birds could be so intelligent! And that friendly. I still amazes me how each animal has it's own personality, spirt, even my fish Bubba has a personality it is beyond understanding only awe for me.
Rusty is huge! And he is cuddler...how cute. .........Ann your husband has the same light of love in his eyes that you do.
