Goliathsmom
Hi everyone,

I haven't been in the forum much today as I've been feeling a little down. I just wanted to show you all another picture of my sweet Goliath taken with his daddy a year or two ago, in better times. I hope no one is offended by men with long hair, as my husband does have long hair. But please don't let that fool you; he is a very generous, loving and sensitive person as you can see by the picture and an extremely hard worker.

My guys - at least I still have one of them, eh? And, of course, my Nutter and the birds.

Love to all,

Traci

Hey Traci,

Two very handsome fellows! wink.gif

I'm sorry you're feeling down today. You'll find that you'll have good days and bad days. It takes time, but eventually the good days will out number the bad ones. It's been exactly 3 months today since Shiloh's passing and I still have lots of bad days. Give yourself time to grieve and heal.

Hugs,
Kathleen

You all are so very, very, VERY wonderful!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

It'll take time, I know, and we all have our down days. I guess Friday night was just one of mine. I actually had been wanting to share that picture with you all for a while now, but I wasn't sure if that was "allowed" since this is the first real forum I've ever joined. That is one of the most touching pictures, to me. I can feel their love for each other just "ooze" off of it!! biggrin.gif I used to tease my husband about how alike they looked!! There were times I even called my husband Goliath and called Goliath "Russ" (my husband's name). wub.gif

I'm glad you all enjoyed the picture.

Love to you all!!

Hi Traci,

I think that is a heart-warming picture. I can see the kindness and sensitivity in your Hubby's eyes. Goliath looks like he loved his Daddy soooo much.
Seeing this photo convinces me that is one of the most intimate body languages a dog can give his owner- to lie his head across his owner's neck/check just like in your picture. I was lucky enough to have Punky do that to me just the other night. He was incredibly restless and uncomfortable as usual, but he made his way up above my head and then unexpectedly laid his head across my throat. He instantly found peace, and so did I. Even though he was kinda choking me (hee-hee), I enjoyed his warmth and the fact that he finally found comfort. For the first time that night, we slept soundly together in that position for hours. I'm fighting back tears now just thinking about it. He's been so withdrawn and non-interactive in these his last days, that I'm deeply touched whenever he can still reach out and make a connection with me in the only ways that are left to him.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful, personal photo with us Traci. wub.gif

The picture is just wonderful and you need never apologize short hair, long hair, no hair, none of it should make any difference to anyone. I know there are some Christians who think men should have short hair and women long. I keep mine short because I am to warm with it long. If that offends anyone I tell them I am not riding my hair into Heaven anyway, I try to live a godly life the best I can and God knows what is in my heart but you can not please everyone. Oh and my brothers hair is a lot longer than your husbands hair. I have never found anything other than loving people here on LS. Keep posting those great pictures.
