Does anyone else have trouble with a particular time of day? I felt I had a good day today until the afternoon, when my daughter comes home from school. That was my "busy" time, carrying Rusty out, then feeding him, carrying him downstairs, starting dinner, etc. I guess it was his most active time of the day and I find myself having basically an anxiety attack at this time of the day. Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any good hints? Sorry to keep coming on here and only thinking of myself, I truly feel for all of us who have gone thru this and pray for us.

It is such a very short time since you lost your Rusty. He was your companion for 16 years and certain times of day certainly do seem to bring intense feelings to the fore.

For a micro-second I start a familiar routine that I did for Ellie and then instantly there is the lead ball in the pit of my stomach knowing that I have no need to do it now and there is a feeling of panic and renewed loss.

It seems that it is one of the aspects of grief. It's almost like a feeling of shock when I realise again and again that she isn't here. Do you think your panic attacks at the same time each day could be along those lines?

Please don't apologise for talking about yourself, that is what the forum is for ... to express your feelings and the pain of your loss.

Some nights all I can do is to come here and read. On those nights I am so numb that I am unable to offer comfort or support to anyone because nothing is working in my head properly. So I just read and then I cry because of what others are going through, and I just want to reach out and give them a great big hug so that they know how much I care. On other nights I am able to write a few words, hopefully of support.
So please never worry, and thank you so much for your prayers.
With love

Dear Jilly and Waflady,

I do feel that certain times of the day are harder than others. I feel real empty when I first get up in the morning and walk into the TV room with no Rusty waiting for me. He'd usually see me then go right to his eating area. Now, the room is really empty and cold.

I also must apologize for going on and on about my loss when everyone else here is in the same boat. It hasn't been that long for me so it is still so difficult. Like you said, Jilly - some nights it is easier to read rather than write and other times the words come easily and hopefully offer some comfort to everyone here.

Every afternoon, when I walk in the door...Misty used to lie in front of a closet door just off the foyer, so I'd see her as soon as I opened the door. Now, I still look, but she's not there.

Mine is dinner time, I have always had a circle of furbaies sitting patiently around me waiting thier turn for a bite, Moose was always a gentleman, they would all patiently wait thier turn, now it is me and Gato, I cried at dinner time for a long time. Pamela

I had those feelings too during the first weeks. It subsided after a while. I think it's all part of having to face the unbearable sadness that our friends aren't around anymore. It takes a long time to get used to the "new and sad reality".

Sometimes I still feel sad on Saturdays (she died on a Saturday), and the month anniversaries are always hard, but overall things are much better.

I always get sad when I get down in the floor to play with my 2 fur girls and of course with any of my fur grand babies that are here and it just isn't the same now that my little chihuahua isn't with me anymore. Chili Bean always made sure as small as she was that she puhed herself against me as close as she could. She was strong enough to push the others away and they just let her be in charge. How I miss that little girl.
