Hi Everyone:

Yep, it's me again............ It's 4:07 AM, and I'm up..............One or both of our beautiful furkids are sick, and
I am sooooooooooo sick to my stomach!!!!!

I know that about 23 hours ago, Ms. Lucy had vomited about 4 - 5 times sad.gif ............ I saw her.......

And today, Ben and I saw that "one of our sweet furkitties" had vomited about 5 more times..... different
areas of the house; including on top of the comfortor on our bed.

Ms. Lucy is laying about four feet off the ground, on 2 cardboard boxes that are from are Public Storage
facility, where we keep some of our stuff, because our apartment is too small......... (Ben had just brought
back some of our winter clothes tonight...........as it will be in the 20's before long!!!)

But, I'm looking at her, and she looks soooooooooooooo darling wub.gif ........
Mr. Yoster is under the lamp wub.gif ............a 100 Watt bulb..........(He loves to be warm - whether it's near a light bulb,
or under a blanket.......)

But, still...........one of our furbabies are sick........Actually, they both could be ill ----- one could be passing a
virus to the other.............

I can't imagine having a human child...........My Goodness............I am sooo nervous with Ms. Lucy and Mr.
Yoster........ Really, "it's enough for both Ben and I!!!!!"

These TWO SPECIAL BABIES FROM GOD "ARE OUR CHILDREN!!!!" We couldn't LOVE THEM
MORE..............OR "WORRY ABOUT THEM ANYMORE", THAN WE DO NOW!!!!!

We might be taking a trip to our vet tomorrow............unless I call him and find that there's "a flu" going round...
But, both of them haven't gone to the kitty box...........so, I know there is some "dehydration" going on.....
That worries me, terribly!!!!!

I just needed to write out my worries, because everyone is asleep right now.............and, I'm a nervous wreck!!!!

God Bless You All..............and, thank you for just letting me VENT......

Love, Denise xo

Oh Denise I know you must be frantic.......call the vet when they open this morning, maybe they will want to see Miss Lucy and Mr. Yoster......have either used the box as of yet? Try not to worry yourself sick, okay?! I know that's much easier said than done!

Love & Hugs,

Karen

Hi Denise,
I would call the vet just as soon as they are open just like Karen said. Poor babies it is terrible when they are so sick and if they are not drinking water they will become even worse quickly. You would not be able to give Ms. Lucy her meds if you don't know what is going on with her.

I wasn't on earlier as Snookie has not been feeling well the last few days. I have been laying with her and her little body is so cold. I turned the heat up but it is not helping her and she threw up a few times. She hardly ate anything yesterday and I am so worried about her too. She got out of bed and I got down in the floor with her. Let us know how your babies are.
Love, Ann

Hey Denise,

How are they doing now?

I just went throught this with Falkor, so I know how frantic you are. I'm thinking of you guys and hoping it all turns out ok.

My furbabies are my kids too. I can so totally relate.

Keep us posted - Steph

Hi Everyone:

Thank you all for your very wonderful and helpful messages......

I just got off the phone with the veterinarian, and everything seems to point to Lucy.......

I stayed up until just after 5am, and as of that time, "one of them went pee"........(I'm not sure who),
but, that's all that was in the box....

I just fed each their normal breakfast, and Lucy ate most of hers......Mr. Yoster ate a little (he's not as
"ravenous" as Lucy.........)
Or, should I say, Lucy always thinks that all of the bowls are for her...."A Smorgasbord, if you will!!! tongue.gif )

Lucy has been seen at the vet's pretty constantly, due to her diabetes and asthma, so she will be going in on Thursday for a complete check up and most likely a 12 hour blood glucose "curve".
(Or much sooner, if I see anymore vomiting)..

I'm going to separate them both today, and see who is doing what.... Hopefully, I'll see an increase in
drinking....

But, instead of her 6 units of insulin, she'll only get 2 units today.. (as per her vet)...

I know how quickly these little beautiful creatures can "go downhill"..........so, my eyes are WIDE OPEN blink.gif !!!

Thanks again, everyone..........for answering, and for always being there......
I've got to go get her injection ready.....

I'll keep everyone posted....

Love & Peace,
Denise xo
Steph
Thanks for the update Denise.

Hopefully things will keep improving as the day goes on.

When I read your first sentence in your post it made me smile.."Yup, it's me again" I am glad things are better today, I find myself always watching Gato, almost looking for something wrong with him....I am trying to relax a little with it but...........ya know. I'm glad things are okay. Pamela

Hi Denise,

I'm very sorry to hear your kids have been sick but glad to hear things seem to be getting better. It must be very frustrating not knowing for sure which one is having the problem. Hope all turns out well with Miss Lucy's upcoming check-up. I know they are in good hands, though. Between you, Ben and the vet, I'm certain everything will turn out fine. Keep us informed.

Denise, I am glad that your babies are doing so much better. Maybe it is something that will pass and they will be fine. I hope Ms Lucy is getting enough to eat with her medication she has to take.

Lynn, Thanks for asking about Snookie, she has hardly eaten anything in a few days and has lost about 3 pounds and I am worried sick over her. She waits for around 6 hours before she goes out to the bathroom, she was going almost every half hour. Snookie has been sick before and has recovered but I am so afraid each time she might not pull through. I hand fed her last night but today she wont eat anything and is hardly drinking any water. She has been laying around all day long and has hardly looked at me. I think I might take her to the vet in the morning to see what he thinks.
