Falkor's bloodwork should be back tomorrow.
Here's to hoping his kidneys and liver are ok.
The vet said from the physical assessement Falkor is looking ok. A lot better than last weekend.
Fingers crossed.....

Dear Steph,
I am SO happy to hear that he is fighting with all his might. I know how happy you must have felt when he finally started drinking again on his own. It sounds like encouraging words from the vet too.
My prayers are with you and Falkor! Please keep us posted on his progress.

The vet just called. His tests are fine. Thank you God. Thank you Luba, because I know you had a hand (or shall I say paw) in this.
Falkor is to switch to a Glucosamine/ Chondroitin supplement for his arthritis.
My "miracle dog" has pulled through again. I know that one day he will not, but I'm so happy that day isn't today. He was all frisy this morning too. It was so cute.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh good, I am glad you have good news. What kind of dog is he? Moose was starting to have those kind of problems too, having trouble getting up, but once he was up he was fine, it would have become an issuse, the arthritis. I'm glad you have him and things have worked out.

Hmmm... Falkor is having diarrhea AGAIN now. The vet said it might be worms because he checks out with his liver and kidneys, and is otherwise feeling ok. The trouble is also intermittant which
That boy is keeping me hopping!

Oh Steph,
I was feeling so excited that Falkor was doing so well and was frisky and now the diarrhea. Oh my well if it is worms that is easily taken care of, hope he gets better soon.

Thanks for checkin in Ann and Jim.
The big guy is certainly not letting the diarrhea slow him down. He's very frisky and playful. The tummy upset/vomiting is intermettent. Now he seems ok again. I will definitely get a stool sample if it persists.

I am so glad the big guy Falkor is doing so much better. Steph please plant a big kiss right on the top of his nose for me. He is so adorable I loved the picture you posted of him a little while back. He just seems like the kind you could hug and kiss on all day.

Thanks Deinse and Ann.
The big dude is doing well. I started him on Glucosamine/Chondroitin last night. It helps arthritis in 60% of cases, so it's time to start crossing fingers again.
I'm taking the stuff too now to help with my inflammed joints.
Wish us luck!

Hi, Steph -
I'm glad to hear that Falkor is doing well.
When Shiloh was undergoing chemo, if she got diarrhea, my vet recommended giving her metamucil fiber wafers to kind of bulk up her stool . I don't know, but it might help Falkor. I'd just crumble one up in her breakfast everyday...it really worked.
Keep us posted.
Kathleen
