Dear Pamela,
They are all so beautiful and I am so glad you are able to share their wonderful pictures with us. Each and every baby is special in our lives and they have all made us the caring compassionate loving people that we are. They ask for so little and give more than we can ever reapay in return.
Love Ann

Pamela I just wanted to add that when I was in school while I was in maybe the 4 th grade I told my teacher I had a brother named Hugo. Then when my mom went for a parent teacher conference and she told my mom that was a very interesting name for a child. When my mom came home she said I had embarrassed her half to death saying that he was my brother.

Mom told me he was just a dog and to never say that again but I continued to tell people he was my brother. I am not sorry I did that for he really was a brother to me in my mind, shoot I still think of him as my brother. How my sister and I became such animal lovers when no one else in our family is I will never know. Maybe we found the kind of love we wanted in our wonderful animals. My dad thinks we are disgusting for acting like they are children but oh well we will live.
Love, Ann

Ann, that is funny, we always told mom and dad that Spike got more attention than we did, I did my best for Spike after Dad passed, he was so concerned about his well being. it would be hard to leave before your furbaby,,dont seem right. But he filled their life after my sister and I moved out, that dog has been all over the united states in a motor home with them. oh those were the days my friend..I thought they'd never end...

Hi Pamela, Ann, Kathleen, Etc...............

Thank you for letting me read all of your stories........

For me........it brought back a "story" when I was 4 years old and in kindergarten....... biggrin.gif

We had a beautiful tiger cat, and his name was BASE..... Don't know how my parent's came up with the name,
but we all loved him............

My mom and dad both worked..............
My dad worked on weekends driving a taxi cab, and my mom was able to sleep in............... My brother
Norman and I were able to get up and get some cereal for ourselves, (on Saturday morning), before going outside to play.....

Well.........One morning, after my brother had gone out..........I noticed that BASE had brought in a
"present", blink.gif , and I didn't know what it was..........

So.......after about 10 minutes of looking at "this thing".......I decided it was time to try and wake up my mom....

I walked into her bedroom, and said, "Mommy wub.gif ..........Is there any such thing as a CHINESE MOUSE?????"....

I do remember that her answer was "Yes, honey......there is such a thing......." (don't forget, she was 1/2 asleep.....)....

Well, my mother told me many years later.........
"As I was lying there asleep, I was wondering what you were talking about, so,.... I had to get up and take a look, because I was quite concerned......"

So............My mom said, "I'll be right up honey...."

When my mom went into the living room, she saw that Base had dragged in a dead "Rat"....
and, I thought (by my description, I had thought), it was a "Chinese Mouse" because of
the slanted eyes...... laugh.gif

????????? ""Out of the mouths of babes?????"" ??????????

Thinking back............It really did look quite adorable!!!!!

But, if I were my mom..............I'm sure I woud've been scared half to death!!!!! unsure.gif

Just wanted to share a story from 1964!!!

Love, Denise xo
