Yesterday we found my cat Bud in our driveway. He was already gone. We didn't know why he died so we took him to animal urgent care and the DR said he had blunt force trauma to his lungs and stomach. We are thinking he got h. it by a car. He never crosses the road and he was so afraid of cars. I think it was on purpose because he was a black cat. I can't stop crying, I will miss him so. My daughter went sleep at night listening to him purr.

I am so sorry for your loss and pain of your precious Bud. You will find a lot of good people who will offer compassion and healing words here. I just don't understand how people can be so mean and cruel and hurt a precious fur baby on purpose. It feels like a knife stabbing me through my heart when I hear terrible things like that. Since the time I was little I could not even kill a bug and that's the truth. Please come and tell us more about Bud, we are hurting too and we understand your tears and sadness.

I'm sorry to hear about Bud, I lost my boy Moose due to a car also, it has been a very hard thing to do, I just keep coming here reading, posting, trying to work my way through this extreme life changing experience I have had. I dont feel so alone like I did at first, because there are people here that knew just exactly and I mean exactly how I was feeling, we can only try and help each other heal. Pamela

Sandy, I'm so sorry to hear of you losing Bud. We lost our Misty not quite a month ago, and the tears still come every day. She also slept with my daughter almost every night, from the time we got her when my daughter was 4, until last month, when my daughter was a month over 17.

Hi Sandy,
I'm truly sorry to learn of the loss of your beloved Bud. Not knowing exactly how he died seems to make his loss even more difficult to bare. The one thing we know for certain is he was much loved by his family and he will be greatly missed. Find comfort in knowing what a great life you gave him---there are so many animals who never find anyone to love them.
All of us here at LS fully understand and share your pain. When you have the strength, please post a pic of Bud and tell us a little more about your life with him. It helps so much to talk about your life together and most of us here find comfort in reading about the special relationships other pet lovers have had with their pets.
Continue to come here and talk as much as you need to. People here really do understand and care.
___Jim
