Dear Moon Beam, What a wonderful response! Thank you so much! There is one thing that I would like to share with you. Some time after Daisy left, someone who was also very close to her and I had a very similar dream at the same time of night. Around 3:00 am on that night, we both dreamed that Daisy had returned and that we were running to tell each other that Daisy was back. We had not been talking about Daisy recently and there was no reason for us to dream the same dream. I believe that she came back to let us know that she was okay. She was the best dog in the world. I have her ashes still in a small pink marble case that says "Always in our hearts."
Thank you!

Hi, Remembering Daisy, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing. Indeed, significant events that are supposed to be joyful, such as the birth of your son, can be deeply saddened when they are tied to a physical loss of a loved one - - whoever the life form. Please permit me to try to offer you some comfort, support, and encouragement at this time of sorrowful reflection on your beloved Daisy's earthly journey with you, and her transition home to the angels.
As you already know, your beloved Daisy was very ill. When a vital organ fails to properly function, it weakens the rest of the body. In your beloved Daisy's situation, I do agree with your sister's observations as you share with us: "My sister told me that she thinks that Daisy died because at last she felt that I would be okay without her." Our companions have a strong will to live. They have a genetic trait inherited from their wild cousin to not show any form of weakness, injury, illness for as long as possible because doing so makes them vulnerable. Of course this does little to help us as their human guardians and caregivers. I firmly believe that your beloved Daisy held on as long as she could so that she could be with you to celebrate her little brother, and to make sure that you and her brother were doing okay.
We live in a physically oriented world governed by the five senses of sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. We are conditioned to believe through social teaching that what cannot be perceived through the physical realm does not exist. But this is not true, for there is a dimension that is stronger than the physical seneses, and this is the dimension of love. Love is eternal, Remebering Daisy - - it is not restricted to the physical laws of time and space. There is no doubt in my mind that your beloved Daisy's sweet Living Spirit continues to share your and her little brother's earthly journey as she always has and always will - - for she is always and forever a heartbeat close to you.
Thank you again so much for honoring us in sharing your beloved Daisy with us. I hope today is treating you kindly, and that you will have a very peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Daisy's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Remembering Daisy, and please let us know how you're doing.
Peace and blessings,
