Miss News--a rescue cat---got ill on June 24--took her to the vet and the diagnosis was lymophoma--she was accumulating fluid in her chest and was having trouble breathing---she was drained 3 times over the past 3 weeks---but a week ago when I took her in there was no accumulation---we knew the prognosis wasn't good--but she was still not in any form to be put to sleep---I took her home and for the past week gave her all the attention and comfort I could---
Well today she was the day she decided to go on to see all of her brothers and sisters that have gone before her--it was a little struggle for her--but I stayed close--with my hand lightly on the back of her neck until she took her last breath---She is now out of her misery--and she will be missed----

Hi, Mary, please permit me to offer you my sincerest sympathies in the physical loss of your beloved Miss News. You both have fought the valiant fight, and now your beloved Miss News is restored to her former youthfulness in the company of the angels. I know that although this is great comfort to your heart, you are now going through one of the hardest experiences we will know on this side of eternity - - adjusting your daily life routines that no longer include the physical presence of your beloved Miss News.
It matters not if this is our first experience of loss or our thousandth - - each experience is unique because each companion we share our earthly journey with leaves their special individual imprint on our hearts and lives. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Mary, as you now embark upon your grief adjustment journey. Thank you so very much for sharing your beloved Miss News with us, and please let us know how you're doing.
Peace and blessings,

Dear Mary, please accept my sincere sympathies on the loss of your precious Miss News. I am very sorry for your loss. Miss News was such a beautiful little calico girl. Her markings remind me of my sweet Tina. You are right, she is relieved of her suffering, but I know you will miss her so much in the coming days and weeks. Nothing ever prepares us for the heartbreak of losing one of our precious companions. I pray that you will find some comfort in the sweet memories of Miss News. She had a loving home and was well cared for.
Hugs,
DannysMom

Dear Mary
My heart is with you on the passing of your beautiful Miss News. How did she get this name? There must be an interesting story behind it. You took good and loving care of one of God's special creatures - your gentle heart rescuing her, giving her a forever home. Every word you write tells of your love for her and hers for you. Thank you for being courageous and loving enough to cradle her in the safest place on earth - a mother's arms - as she made her way back to the perfect World from which she came and where whe waits for you to join her and be together for all eternity.
Have a restful night.

Thank you for your thoughts----She was a rescue cat--My husband worked in Daytona Beach at a radio station as the news director and anchor---Long ago he was branded with the name Mr. News--Miss News started hanging around at the radio station about 7 years ago--when Mark would get to work---at 3 in the morning she would come around--so he took her under his wing and she was named News--he brought her home in 2006 because she was an outside cat--apparently abandoned---but at one time did belong to someone for she was fixed---and he was afraid she would get hurt---To make her more dignified I attached Miss to her name—
I took her to the vet so she can be cremated and come back home---the hared part begins now—getting use to not having her around---I have 3 others here and my rat terrier Daisy—Mark is working out of town---so Daisy has been keeping me sane thru this ordeal---

Hi, Mary, thank you for letting us know how you're doing. I am glad you have your precious Daisy with you who is offering you comfort in your adjustment to not having your beloved Miss News physically with you. And in comforting your precious companions who are still with you as they adjust their lives to the physical absence of their beloved housemate, you also will be comforted. Although your heart is comforted in knowing your beloved Miss News is no longer lingering, I know from first hand experience that your heart is also deeply grieving not having her precious physical presence with you. I hope today is treating you kindly, Mary, and that you, your husband, and your precious companions will have a very peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Miss News' sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Mary, and that I look forward to sharing with you how you're doing, and your treasured memories of your beloved Miss News.
Peace and blessings,

Hi, Mary, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing. As you are all too familiar, getting our beloved companion's ashes back is a two sided coin: on the one side it is a relief to have them home again while on the other side it is yet another harsh reality that they are no longer in the physical prsence that our hearts long for.
I am so sorry about the news of your precious Miss Kitty. Losing a companion so quickly after a physical loss truly intensifies and prolongs the grief. Please know we are here for you to offer you comfort and support with your precious Miss Kitty.

Thank you for your support moon_beam. She is still with us--sleeping and breathing comfortably. She was having seizures--so I had to give her something to alleviate the seizues and pain if she was having any. I hope she goes quietly---without anymore seizure activity or trouble breathing---That's so hard to watch---
Again--thank you---

Mary, I am so sorry to hear about Miss Kitty. This comes way way too soon after Miss News passed on. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Losing one fur kid is hard, but losing another one so soon is almost unbearable. I hope that you can find some strength and comfort during this difficult and sad time.
