Hi Old friends and new...

My beloved Ladywolf passed over two years ago now, and Poppers about 2 and 1/2. I could not have made it through the whole process without your help and kindness and friendship. MUCH LOVE to all of you!

Now my immediate next-door neighbor, and best friend Mark is dying of AIDS, and I am flailing around all over the internet trying to find a HUMAN loss support group/chatroom to join--with no success, so far. I joined one HIV/AIDS room, but they will not talk about death at all. I feel sorry for them...

Does anyone know of a good site to go to for the loss of humans? Which DOES happen on occasion?

I send very big hugs. I have become very involved with a depression/bipolar chatroom in the past two years, and hence have not been here much at all, but I think of many of you often, and I wish you so much love and so many blessings!

Oh Ladywolf

Pplease take my strength today and every day. Another of God's sepcial beings, another soul-mate is on his way to the Perfect World - with all the terrible grief of the other departures - temporary as they are.

Ladywolf, I can tell you from my limited "flailing" around the net that I have not come across ONE support site that is 1% as good as this one. Our family had some MAJOR abuse problems (daughte on elderly dad) last year and I tried a Borderline personality site but the people seemed to care almost exclusively about themselves. Not like here.

Could we break the rules a little bit and start a thread about Mark? Give him a wolf-name and we'll be good until we get either cut off or moved to another place. If that doesn't work, how about trading personal e-mails with your best friends and we'll form our very own e-mail support group. It won't be as elegant as professionally administered sites like this one, but it would be filled with people who GET IT. (And I know at least one LS person who is experiencing more than one human departures.)

As always, you have our love and strength. Let's talk.

hello ladies, probably not a good idea. back when i started helping people with the loss of their pets, i got much flack from people who felt animals were substandard to humans, and that we shouldn't grieve the loss of a pet ("it's only an animal"). it turned ugly.

there are sites and forums out there that cater to people who have lost people in their lives. not trying to be a doggie downer, but lets keep this site to pets only please.

OK, no problem. Just a thought trying to help someone.

Good catch, though, and quick. That's why this is such a good site.

Thank you.

Awww, thank you both, so much...

My own depression group was much better last night about it all, and let me talk, so maybe i'll be okay just staying there. I think that i "uncovered" a gay male last week inadvertently, and that is why he went off on me like he did, but that's over now.

There is NOTHING like this room. Active chats can get fairly hostile at times, tho also very wonderful--but this room is ALWAYS supportive and I bless it for that!

Ladywolf and Poppers live--and thank you, Gretta's mom, for the great idea, even if its not feasible. I hope you are well yourself, and you too, L.S. Support!!

By the way, I now have two Bengal cats: Lily and Willy, and they are NUTZOID!! The one thing I could not do when Ladywolf was still alive was have cats around, so I have taken this time to reintroduce myself to the feline side of life. Bengals are part nationality Leopard Cat, and mine are totally crazy, but one particularly, Willy, is a constant source of laughter. Aren't cats supposed to be CAREFUL when they walk around things on counters etc.? Not Willy, he is like a linebacker in hot pursuit...

They are, luckily, young and healthy, and I love them, of course. Wishing the best to you and all your fur-friends, even your scaley friends and feathered friends!

P.S. Oh how funny, this sight turned the word a-s-i-a-n into "nationality." i wonder if it will do it if i spell it out like i just did?

P.P.S. I would be very happy, Gretta's Mom, to share email addies. I don't mind publishing mine, cause it's on my website...it's ladywolfglassATyahoo.com (replace the AT with an @), and i welcome any mail from this room!

Good to hear you're doing better, Ladywolf. I'll send you an e-mail at your yahoo address when I get home from work tonight. Gay or not, nobody has the right to go off on someone else - especially on a depression support group! Isn't LS the greatest?

thanks. though i appear to not be here, i check the forums several times a day to make sure things are running smoothly and to make sure we don't get any "mean" people here...it happens rarely but needs to be constantly monitored just the same. thanks for the understanding, this site is what we make of it and i am happy to have everyone here join in.

Gretta's Mom - i reformatted your email address to make sure it isn't picked up by search engines and the spammers who use them. just remove the (AT) and replace with @ to make the email address 'normal'

Thank you, SysAd.

You make the site safe and have created THE best support site on the entire net (like I've checked it all out smile.gif). Thank you again. And thanks for reformatting my address. Egad, things happen on the net that I'd never even THINK of. You rock.
