Gretta's Mom

HI babyface
I thought I heard a party going on over my head today. It was your birthday party - your first one in the Perfect World. I know your cousins were there, and all the doggies you've welcomed into the Perfect World. Give an extra treat to those who have no one here on earth to mourn for them. You can see that my heart is still broken and my eyes are still leaking - but I am consoled by the firm belief that, as wonderful Dr Hinson said, "you're in a safe place now." I believe that as firmly as I believe that there are souls/spirits in addition to our physical bodies.
Thank you for all the happiness you gave me while we were living together. Thank you for teaching me that kindness is a character not an action. Thank you for teaching me how to love unconditionally - by your doing it to me. Thank you for choosing me to be your mom the first time we saw each other. Thanks you for there being a you.
Your mom and little brother
P.S. Please keep an eye out for a small black dog named Aloo. I met him and his dad in India. Like you, he's a lucky dog ... he's got a name and a home and somebody who cares for him.
I love you, Gretta.

Dear Gretta's Mom.....Thank you for sharing your Angel-versary love letter to Gretta......I found this poem I want to share with you...
God Bless....LoveMyMickey
Angel In The Sky
There is a star in Heaven
And on it is a place,
That's been reserved for you since birth
A place meant for your name.
This star has watched you through the years
But it could not stand alone,
It rested high on angel wings
Awaiting your trip home.
You slipped away, I held you close,
Your soul flowed through my heart,
I felt your last breath through my tears
I felt your pain depart.
Tonight I looked up to the sky
And there for me to view
Was one lone star shining bright
Your name was shining too.
You were my angel on this earth,
You're my angel in the sky.
Wait for me, someday you'll see
Our names shine side by side.
