Gretta's Mom

Hi Baby face
Mom's about to embark on a wild adventure on the other side of the world. Look for me on the other side of the world for the month of November. Please watch over me as you've always done. Keep my steps away from danger. Open my heart to the sights and sounds I've always wanted to see - but now wonder if I'm courageous enough. Too late now, though. Plane ticket in hand and gotta go. You're my spirit protecter. I know you'll be right these by my side seeing and hearing some marvelous things. You love will surround me and mine surround you.
Thank you my most precious baby. I love you.
Your mom

Dear Jeanne,
Don't you worry about a thing. I have it on good authority (Mr. Trevor Forever) that every creature that has crossed the Rainbow Bridge into Heaven (at any time) knows about your trip and have stationed themselves in positions that cover every inch of your travels on the other side of the world PLUS on the route over there and back.
Gretta is responsible for planning the party they will have when you get back. Birney is responsible for keeping the camels in order for you. Rudy is in charge of the yert every night. Kelly will keep the dogs in order. Jasper and Trevor are general maintenance: if little things happen that other dogs/cats/birds, etc. need to attend to to help you out, they will be in charge. Crocker will be directing any traffic issues up there.
As for all your Havenly friends that you have not met personally, but have heard of them or even those you have not heard of, they have picked out their places from which to watch you every second. (see, there are so many of them you don't need to be watched every minute).
Hope this helps a bit!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO Trevor, Rudy, Birney, Jasper, Kelly and Corcker's mom. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Hi Babyface
From where you are, you can see me no matter where I am. I'm taking my last trip around the world - going to see places I've only dreamed about. Yes, I'm nervous - but I know that God protects and that our spirit animals, like you my beautiful Gretta, watch over us, too. I don't know what awaits me, but with you and Him and all the other furbabies on my side - it can't be anything but great. I love you, babyface.
Your daring (foolish?) mom

Dear Gretta's Mom,
I love your letters to Gretta they are so sweet. Its nice to think of our deceased pets as watching over us. I lost my cat Chester recently and its kind of like our roles are now reversed, like he is watching over me now. I am sorry about Gretta, she looks so sweet. I currently have a nine year old black lab named Buddy and he sort of looks like Gretta. Having him with me for so much of my life, I can't imagine what it is going to be like to lose him.
Good luck with your traveling and I know Gretta is always with you.

Dear Moonbeam
Yes, seeing northern India again was nourishing for the soul. I had hoped to go on to Mongolia but the extra-long flights there and back from India seemed like more than i could do after the flight from Chicago to Delhi. I went to my favorite state of Rajasthan, to a small town where every year there is a gigantic camel fair: livestock buying and selling, camel and hores races and shows, booths and stalls set up by people who come from miles around to sell tools, household items and many other things to each other. And for the tourists (there are MANY!), the town markets are full of Rajansthani-style clothing, fabrics (you know, the ones with the little mirrors), beautiful handcrafts and fabulous foods from all over. My favorite was a Tibetan restaurant where I ate momos (sort of like little dumplings) several times. The designs on buildings, inside and out, on fabrics of all kinds, and the punjabi-style dresses go right to the heart.
I came back to MN just in time - my dad has been hospitalized with a heart or stomach problem. Rufus's wonderful foster mother has been taking care of him and tomorrow I'm going to pick him up. No more 40 acrease to run on and doggie and kittie friends to play with. Just 40,000 acres of love, a warm house, and lazing around as two oldsters!!
Thank you for all the love and support you have been to both me and Bobbie. You're Rufus's auntie, too.
Thank you for remembering us.

Hi, Gretta's Mom, it's so good logging in and sharing your news of your trip and that you and Rufus are now reunited - - a glorious happy reunion. I do believe your Rufus prefers the 40,000 acres of love to warm his heart and life. And as it is for you, so it is for your precious Rufus: Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home - - and his home is with YOU!!!
I'm so very glad you had a great trip. I can see, hear, and smell all the sights and sounds and aromas you have described through the pictures of your words. I know what you mean about the tapestries and the clothing - - beautiful artistry. Were you able to bring back any souvenirs in addition to pictures?
I'm sorry your and Bobbie's dad is having health challenges. I know this is a concern for the both of you, and hope your dad will have a steady recovery.
I hope life is treating you kindly, Gretta's Mom. It may be a day or two before you get re-adjusted to U.S. time again, so be sure to get plenty of rest until you're ready to resume full activity. I'm trusting Rufus will keep you under his loving watch and vigil to make sure you're okay, and your beloved Gretta is keeping a loving vigil over you, too.
Please know you and your precious Rufus are in my thoughts and prayers, Gretta's Mom, and that I always look forward to sharing your news and your treasured memories of your beloved Gretta. Sending auntie moon_beam hugs to you and Rufus.
Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
