I've been trying to think of different but simple ways to memorialize my pet Tuffy, our cat. She was cremated and now I have to contemplate what to do with her ashes. I am interested in hearing if anyone has found something that has satisfied them in this way.
Just asking

Hi, Allan, please permit to offer you my sincerest sympathies in the loss of your beloved Tuffy. There are many different things you can to memorialize your precious furchiild.
Some folks purchase an urn that allows a photo, and puts the urn in a speical place in the house with a candle and maybe a poem - - like the Rainbow Bridge - - next to it. Some folks bury the ashes in their yard and plant a memorial garden with a name plaque. Some folks distribute the ashes in different places that their beloved companion used to enjoy - - like a park, or at the beach, or in the yard (instead of burying them). Some folks purchase a special locket that allows some of the ashes to be put inside and wear the locket - - or place the locket in a special spot that will be a "memorial" place in the house.
I imagine there are other ways but I hope these methods give you some idea for you to think of a way to memorialize your precious Tuffy. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Allan, during this time of sorrow in your heart and home, and if you'd like, please feel free to share with us what you decided.
Peace and blessings,

I'm sorry for your loss. Over the past year and a half I've done many things to memoralize my Brutus...I am on my phone now so can't add the pics, but if you go to the memorial section of this forum and find my post (I think it's about halfway down) you can see pics of some of the things I've done. These things have helped me tremendously as time passes....some people do not like reminders but I do and I've done as much as possible to remember Brutus...I put up a shelf for his ashes w/pics, poems, his 2nd fav toy. I've bought a necklace w/his name, his pic is on my license plate of my car, his painting is hanging above my sofa, I even got a tattoo w/his name.
Sending healing thoughts your way...many hugs
