Hello everyone. I am here because I lost my best boy, my Labrador Retriever, Clyde (aka: Boo Boo) on Monday night/Tuesday morning. I am really devastated by this, and I am starting to cry as I write this, and because I am at work, that is not good.

I am looking to talk about this, because one of my vets tells me that talking about it will help.

Thank you.

clydetheboosmom, I am so sorry about your loss. I all to well know how you feel. I lost my boy last Thursday, not long ago at all and I cry every day, several times a day.

The only thing that has helped me thus far, is talking about him and the event. I try to think of the good times I had with him. But definitely the last hours are forever engrained into my head, however, remember how much he loved you and how great of a companion he was. Feel free to tell us about him whenever you feel you are able to.

I would love to hear about how great of a companion he was to you....when you feel the time is right.

Again....if you need to talk, just post here, there are many wonderful people...and remember you are not going through this alone.

Thank you. I am not sure where to begin. I will try and gather my thoughts. I just miss him so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Clydethebossmom,

My heart goes out to you. I know the pain you are in and I am sorry. If there is anything that I can say to you is that you have come to the right place to talk about your loss. All of us here have lost members of our family. I have also lost my sweet boy on 1/20/11.

Ther first few days was horrible in my house. The pain in our hearts was unbearable. I thought I was going to lose my other little dog because he was grieving terribly. But in time your pain will subside, I promise. Your baby will always live in your heart and it is ok to cry, I still do and will probably shed a few tears even when years pass because the loss of a loved one is hard.

Stay in touch with us here and let us know how you are doing. Hugs to you!

Dear Clydethebossmom,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your precious Clyde. I understand how very much you miss him having lost my beautiful Victoria only a couple weeks ago. Your vet was right that talking, as well as writing, helps us to move forward in the grief journey. It is truly a one day at a time experience.

Hope you will continue to let us know how you are doing. Sending you hugs and healing thoughts.
With peace,
Juturna

Dear Clydetheboosmom,
Glad you found this forum. I also offer my condolences on the loss of your beloved fur child. I lost my little girl, Zoe, a month ago. I cried every day, several times a day. I have been told the pain will lessen, and I think it has to a small degree. The first few days were horrible. I hope that you find some peace and comfort coming here to talk about how you are feeling. This is the one place where everyone understands what you are going through.

Hi, clydetheboosmom, please permit me to add my sincerest sympathies in the loss of your beloved Clyde. Losing a beloved companion is never easy regardless of the circumstances or how long we have been blessed with the privilege of their company.

Please know we are here for you, with you, and beside you through every step of your grief journey. This grief journey is a one day at a time, sometimes a one moment at a time journey. Take your time, clydetheboosmom. Please know you are in my thoughs and prayers, and am reaching out to you across the cyber miles to let you know you are not alone.
