I haven't been able to gather my thoughts as I'd like, to make a proper tribute to my little Deet Man, but just had to share this.

This morning I was on the phone with my Mother and we were talking about all things in life, as Mothers and daughters usually do. We were discussing life and all its joys and sadness, and I was talking about still missing Dieter and how I do shed tears daily. Then she remembered that she had seen the most amazing thing at a local TJ Maxx & More store yesterday in my neighborhood. She had stumbled upon a resin/iron "Schnauzer with wings"!!! wub.gif

I don't know why, but I knew it was meant for me. I hopped in the car and was one of the first into the store this morning and so hoped it would still be there. To my delight it was!! It's a replica of a schnauzer, about 7 inches high and 10 inches long and salt and pepper just like our little guy and with the cropped ears, painted pink inside and ANGEL WINGS!! It's just what I needed and didn't even know it. I don't know why something like this has comforted me, but I popped the little guy into my cart and we were on our way. When I got home, I place him on the fireplace hearth and put Dieter's collar around his neck. I look at it and am just comforted, it's head is held high and looks like he is about to take flight into heaven! Just had to share this.

Hi Libby,

What a great story! It's so good to know how something as simple as a figurine can give so much comfort. The fact that it looked just like Dieter is a little peculiar don't you think? Seems like (someone) knew just what you needed and saw to it that you received it. I can just picture in my mind what the figurine, wearing Dieter's collar looks like sitting on the hearth. I'll bet that's exactly how he looked when he was leaving this earth and making his journey to heaven.

Hi Libby:

I have no doubt AT ALL..........................
That it was your precious, beloved Dieter who saw to it that his mommy would purchase that beautiful
figurine that you did.... wub.gif

Deet Man has his Angel Wings in Heaven, by now.....

I too, can just imagine what this figurine looks like with Dieter's collar, sitting on the Hearth.......

And, I can sense from the words you wrote just how comforted you are.

What a blessing!! wub.gif
And, thank you for sharing such an uplifting story!!

Love, Denise

Libby,
That's so neat! I agree totally with Jim and Libby. Deet Man ("Deet Man and his angel wings," as Denise said -- that's so cute!), as always, looking out for his mommy. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Love,
Marcia
