My best friend, Lorna, lost her cat, Katie, yesterday morning. Katie was 14 years old and seemed to be 100% healthy up until Wednesday morning. She suddenly wouldn't eat or drink and started acting strange. They took her to the vet and were in the midst of trying to determine what was wrong. Katie was an indoor cat and literally had not been outside the house in 12 years. So, the trip to the vet was very traumatic for her. Lorna took her home on Wednesday night as they all felt she would be more settled at home (with the intention of returning to the vet on Thursday) but she died on Thursday morning with Lorna holding her.

Please keep Lorna and Katie in your thoughts and prayers. While Katie was not a young cat, it was still all so sudden and, of course, the whole family is greiving Katie right now.

tonight when I light my candle I will light it for Katie!
Please tell your friend that we are sending her hugs and comforting thoughts and prayers.

Does Lorna know that Katie is 100% happy and young and without pain--playing and cavorting with all our pets? Tell her that she will meet up with Katie at the rainbow bridge one day..in the meantime Katie has alot of wonderful friends to play with while she waits to be reunited with her people! smile.gif
