Thanksgiving, and you won't be here. I will try not to be depressed, Bitsy, even though I won't have you beside me, sharing in the meal, won't have you snoring with me as we used to after stuffing ourselves.

I will be thankfull, though! Thankful that I had so many years with you, thankful that I can remember you, that I had the joy and sorrow that comes with having you as a member of my family. I will be thankful that you are no longer suffering, that wherever you are, you are no longer hurting, your little eyes are clear, that you can run and play again!

I will also be thankful that Fancy is with me, even though she can never replace you! I know that you would approve of the fact that Fancy helps ease the pain of losing you, that I can laugh again over some of the crazy things that you did, and that she does, all for "daddy"!

Most of all, little girl, I will be thankful that you are part of my life, from the moment I set eyes on you til the moment of your passing, and til we see each other again, I love you!

Thank you, Angel, for the beautiful card you made of my little angel! People like you who go out of their way to extend kindness to fellow pet lovers in their time of grief is what makes this site so special and healing. May God bless you and youe family this Thanksgiving, and thanks again. This was just the balm I needed!

You're very welcome, Andy. I went back to read about your precious Bitsy and can see what a beautiful, special and unique Fur Kid Angel she is. I sure hope I didn't use too much pink, however she's such a lady and there ain't no denying that. Awww! I love her! How blessed we are to have these precious jewels to decorate our lives for at least a while. She is indeed a real treasure!

I'm so pleased you love the image I made, but if you wish to place it somewhere on the net, I can crop the frame so its the same size on all four sides. Also, I can make those two frames the same color blue that's in Bitsy's sweater and put less pink in the image using gold glittering pretties and text instead. It would be my honor to do that for you. Just let me know. God bless you and yours most abundantly! And, have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Always,

Hi again Andy,

Since I felt you probably wouldn't even ask, I did go ahead and crop the frame so it's the same width on all four sides. I thought Bitsy would love to have hugs and love from the Care Bears at The Rainbow Bridge, so I put that at the top. Then, of course, I added a gold beating Heart at the bottom. It very nicely matches some of Bitsy's fur and naturally you'll always carry her Heart in your Heart. My Gosh, she is so very precious! Since I never delete any images I make for fur kid parents, here's the URL link to the original in case you wish to have it and use it instead anywhere you wish ...

Bitsy was a real cutie Andy, gees you miss them when they go don't you?. I have a Chihuahua X fox terrier and she is a feisty little dog, very bossy towards my kelpies. When they walk into the room, they take the long way round, slinking around all the walls in an effort to avoid her. She flies out of her bed at them if she catches them coming through the doorway and she will guard her food all day long, even if she has only one piece left and doesn't want it. But a better people dog you couldn't get, she loves kids in particular and they all love her. She has never snapped at any child or adult, I can play with her and blow in her face, do anything and she just wants to play. I have had her for 5 yrs, since she was a puppy really. Sad how I ended up with her though. I knew a lady who had terminal cancer and she had this little dog called Scrappy who had been her best friend and constant companion for many years. She literally clung to that dog throughout her chemotherapy and couldn't bear to be without her. Well life being so damned unfair as it often is, Scrappy died a few weeks before she did and her pain was something I will never forget. In an effort to help her through her last days her desperate husband ordered another dog from interstate for her, but she died while the dog was being flown over. The husband didn't want the puppy, so a few weeks later when he offered her to my husband and myself we jumped at the chance to have her. Her name is Bonnie and it suits her so well, she's always happy and wags her tail non stop. She's on my lap now, bless her.

Madi,

I laughed until I cried about Bonnie's antics! She is so much like my little girl was, with the exception that Bitsy only liked a few people other than myself and family. Bitsy hated cats, and would fiercely defend her food! Bitsy also loathed beagles, nephews, (only bit one of them!), and our Peek-a-poo Max. As I now own a Jack Russell TERROR, I can only imagine a cross between a chihuahua and a terrier!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and what she had to endure, but I am so glad that you rescued Bonnie! She is in a very loving and exciting home, and I hope y'all share many adventures together!
