Yesterday we put our Little Kitty to rest. I miss her so much and wish she was still here. She was diagnosed with Diabetes two years ago and from that point on her health deteriated. I gave her insulin shots two times a day and she was an angel, never fought back and even knew when it was time to receive her medication. The diabetes ravaged her body and two months ago started having difficulty breathing. The vet drained water from her lungs and gave us the bad news that her prognosis wasn't good. In the last month she lost 1-1/2 pounds, again she was having trouble breathing and when we took her to the vet she had developed a huge mass in her abdomen. She was suffering and could hardly walk. We made the decision to put her to sleep and not have her suffer any more. We loved that Little Kitty. Everytime I go into a room I expect to see her with that cute little face. Peace to you LIttle Kitty we love you and will always remember you for all the joy you have given us.

Bless you for giving all you had in your loving heart to Little Kitty. wub.gif Always remember first and foremost that Little Kitty knew, and loved you, for all you added to her wonderful life. She in turn has left you with many memories of love. Hold those closest and dearest to your heart always. You took on her pain so that she didn't have to endure it any longer my friend. That is the ultimate and most unselfish gift you could have ever given to her. I can only hope and pray that I never have to make that decision myself.

Hugs of love and comfort from my heart to yours,
Beth

Pattyv, I am so very sorry about Little Kitty. Your love and devotion for her is obvious in what you wrote. In your description of her last days, I see a real similarity between her situation and my cat, Frasier's. So I understand having to make that awful decision even though you know you are ending her suffering, you are beginning yours. It's so hard to make that decision even when the decision is pretty much made for you, isn't it? I know you miss her dearly and I'm so sorry. You're in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your little kitty, you went through quite a bit with her and I think that is wonderful- your love and care! We are all here for the same reason and I am sorry that you are grieving. It is most difficult to make life altering decisions for those who cannot speak- we bear the weight of it on our shoulders and conscience, I am finally starting to release some of the guilt myself and it's difficult because we are the only ones left to question & justify.

My thoughts go to you and your little kitty
