An Angel sent by God. Full of Love and Devotion, to Love and be Loved. My Dearest Little Baby

Patches

Was Born on December 22, 1994 and passed away at home with me on June 20, 2009 at the age of 14 1/2

The Loan Of An Angel

My cute little boy, who meant the world to me,

Was the life of my home, so most would agree.

This Message to him, I will write with my love,

To my one Sweet little Angel, sent from above.

God showed me his Love, he really did care.

So I wouldn’t be lonely and full of despair,

Sending this Spirit that was given to me,

He helped me live in this life, until eternity.

This Loan Of An Angel, who had no deceit,

Made my life so happy, now feeling complete.

I wasn’t alone now, and no longer was scared,

A heart fill with joy, with a life to be shared.

My furry friend, filled my heart with emotion,

An Angel who showed, pure love and devotion?

The life that he lived was but for a short while,

He changed my life in his Angel like smile.

I dedicate this poem to my Little One

that was just beautful, yet so hard to read. what a beautiful little boy he was. i too lost my little fred not too long ago and i understand how you feel. it is so hard. but james, hold on to the fact that when they leave us, they return to their maker who is waiting for them with open arms. he rejoices in seeing them once again. but there will come a day when we will all be reunited with them once again. what a wonderful happy day. you will see your patches and i my fred and riley once again.

you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Patricia for the kind words and for the candle you lit for Patches. It has been 3 months now since Patches was taken home to be with Jesus but the pain is still the same. I hate coming home knowing he is not here to welcome me and I still relive his last days in my mind every day. I know you are still grieving for the loss of your Fred but it was kind of you to give a little of your time to comfort someone else like me who is also grieving for the loss of their Furchild.

Good Morning Little One.. Your Baby Brother is driving me Nutts. He is a little Terror like you were when you were a baby. I had to Kitty-Proof the whole house and put the plants in the spare bedroom because he is chewing them up or uprooting them. I wish you were here to teach him but am sure you are doing it in spirit. I miss you as always and are always in my prayers. Please continue to watch over me from heaven with Jesus and keep me safe. I Love You as always.. Dad.

Thinking about you as always and wishing you were here. Today was a good day and want to thank you and Jesus for watching over me and keeping me safe. Losing you was very emotional for me because you were my only child and nothing seems worthwhile anymore. I look forward to the day when Jesus calls me home to spend eternity with him and you and to continue where we left off. I Love You as always and hope to see you soon if it's the Lords Will.

Hi there, I got very emotional reading your posts. I too lost my "baby" recently and she was my only "child" so I can relate. It is very difficult losing the one constant love that was always there and now it's not. Each day I pray that things will be better, memories will create smiles instead of tears. It's going to be long tough road and I will think about Patches and my Nutmeg today and what a great life they had! Nutmeg was 2 months shy of 19 so I keep that thought with me that I was able to save her early demise from a shelter some 18+ years ago. I wish I could have her back for another umpteen years:)

Hi Baby,

Woke up thinking about you and wishing I was with you in heaven with Jesus. You are my Little Angel that was sent by God to keep me company. Thank You for sharing you earthly life with me and for teaching me about Unconditional Love. Please continue to wait for me in heaven and keep watch over me with Our Lord. Don't forget to keep Alex safe and give him all the Piggyback rides that he wants.

Thank You So Very Much Dottie. Today is Patches 4 Month Anniversary Since Jesus Took Him Home To Be With Him So The Picture and Song Brought Joy Into My Heart And Tears To My Eyes. Patches Left Me So Many Wonderful Memories And I Think About Him Every Day. God Bless You As Always And Will Always Be In My Thoughts And Prayers.

Hi Baby,

Today was just another day without you. Things are not the same here with you being gone and can't seem to get it together. Life just sucks right now. Four months later and I still relive the last few hours of your life and keep wondering if there was anything else I could have done for you. I guess when God says it is time to come home there is no way of arguing with him because what he says carries the power of all creation. I am happy that you keep watch over me and visit me in spirit quite often but it is just not the same as you being here physically but guess I need to be happy with what I can get. I will think of you every day and know you are healthy and happy with our Lord and that you will be waiting for me when it is my turn to come home.

Thank You for praying for me and for the Love you have for me. I cry for you deep within my soul each and every day and the sorrow is sometimes overwhelimg. I know it troubles you to see me like this from up above but ask you to continue praying for me and asking Jesus to heal my wounded heart. I will Love you forever and know that when eternity comes my heart will be filled with joy once again knowing that this time our time together will never end.

Oh Daddy, I know it hurts real bad and I see you crying sometimes. And, that's okay. Really it is. I love and miss you so much, too! But, where I am now, there's that Peace that surpasses all imaginable earthly understanding. So much Joy, Bliss, Great Happiness, Love and His Light!

So, ya know what I often do while I wait patiently for that Sweet Day when we'll meet again and be together eternally? There's this song and I can see and hear you singing it to me whenever I wish. It's one of the countless gifts that Jesus and His Angels gives me.

Rod Stewart wrote this song in tribute and love for his son. Did you know that? It's true. And, I know in our Hearts that beat as one that you would have composed this song and sang it to and for me if Rod Stewart hadn't beat you to it. You sure would have!

HI James,
That was a beautiful poem. It brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for the loss of Patches.
On Friday night I lost my dear cat Buttercup. She died in my house - at 15 months she had a seizure and died. I was there with her but just cant get the picture of it all out of my head. Does it get better?

Thank You for the kind Words... To Answer your Question, Yes it does get better even though the emptiness you feel in your heart will never fade the pain and sorrow you feel will. The memories you have of your time with your Buttercup will bring happiness back into your heart... Remember that Buttercup has just gone ahead of you and will be waiting for you to come home to be with her and Jesus and will always be looking down on you from heaven and will keep you safe. God Bless you always and pray the Lord will bring peace back in to you heart with his Grace and Love for you.....
