Three years ago today, my baby left me. I can't believe it's been three years. I've been crying all day. Couldn't sleep at all last night. Three years ago this morning, she was still here. I help her. And now she's been gone all this time. And I still miss her so much I can hardly breathe.

dear magdalene, im so sorry about your little baby. it is very hard isnt it? i still cry over my wonderful babies that i have lost many many years ago. when they leave us, they take a big chunk of our hearts and we are never the same again. something that has helped me, and perhaps may help you, is to build a little memorial. i have one for my fred whom i lost about three months ago. i have his ashes surrounded by pix, his bowl, his medicines and his collar. i dont know somehow it makes me happy to see his little belongings. please continue to write about your grief. it will be the best therapy. everyone here understands your pain and we are here to "listen"
you are in my prayers!

I have her ashes in an urn on my mantleplace. I have some candles around it, and a statue of the goddess Kwan Yin, who is a goddess of mercy. Her ashes are in a plastic bag inside the urn. At least, that's what they told us at the crematorium. I want to make a bag for them out of a piece of her favorite blanket, but haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby girl 7 weeks ago today. I don't even know how I'm going to make it to the 3-year mark without her. Every day seems impossible.
