A rare spring blizzard in Texas gives my kids a good romp.
Flossie's Mom

Oh Dayna! biggrin.gif

Birga and Amos are beautiful against that snow. It's so obvious how much they are enjoying themselves. I'll bet they bring tears of joy to your eyes when you watch them out there like that.

Has your little disney character caught up with that mouse yet? blink.gif Aladin is still at it with his flying carpet.

yesterday
my cats

looking out of the fenced windows of our home

Ginger, I'd settle for half that much energy...we wore ourselves out defrosting them when they came in. Birga's German Shepherd coat sheds everything...snow, water, dirt...but Amos is Mr. Velcro. He would come in with snow packed between his big webbed toes, and icicles in his top-knot and tail. We kept the dryer going with some big fluffy towels so they would be nice and warm for them...not that they are spoiled or anything. laugh.gif

Eva,

I wish you and the boys, many more warm spring days.
Much love to Jim and Felix ! wub.gif

Beth,

Amos did catch a mouse. Apparently, it wasn't the only one, because now that he is well rested from his winter wonderland adventures he is back to patrolling for mice in the kitchen. I'd love to see little Mr. Magic carpet doing his thing, just thinking about it makes me smile. biggrin.gif

Judy,

It's been a while since we have seen new pictures of beautiful Lucky.

Sorry it took me so long to respond everybody, but I sprained my right wrist playing in the snow with Amos!

Sorry about your wrist.

As far as Lucky's pictures, I have 6 left to take out of a 27 picture roll. By now, I, myself, am beginning to wonder what the other 21 look like but I will wait until the roll is finished.

Hug your babies for me,

Hi Judy,

You know those undeveloped rolls of film can be like buried treasure. I shed a lot of tears after Sadie died, because I lost some of the pictures the students and staff had emailed to me when Sadie was in the Texas A&M Small Animal Teaching Hospital. I took my laptop in for repair without backing up those files and when I got it back all the pictures of Sadie in physical therapy, and wheeling around in the corridors with her little student docs, and sitting behind the reception desk etc. were gone.

But a few months ago I found an undeveloped roll of film that had on it pictures we took when we went to get her out, and some precious pictures of Mack I had forgotten we had too.

My wrist is better, but this brace is very awkward. I can't wait to get rid of it.

Dayna,

My first Poodle, Friskie, was like velcro in snow too. He had so much packed on his legs that he had to walk with his legs as far apart as he could get them.

My summer project is to get my pictures out of the shoe boxes, organized and albums made up.............. I hope I have some old pictures of him somewhere in my mess. At least the digital camera is a bit easier. But I also lost a lot of pictures on the computer. Now I have them all but again, in a mess. Copied them so many times to be sure I didn't lose any that that should take the balance of the summer to fix too!!!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I really enjoyed them.

Ginger,

I look forward to seeing Those pics. Meanwhile, hugs to Jingles and Weeb.

Dayna,

Funny you should call her Weeb.......... we call her that a lot! Weeb, Weebler. I cannot tell you how much she has helped us both over the last 5 months. Hubby was raised on a farm & had his dogs as a child but this dog is "his" first dog as an adult. To be honest I hope she goes first as she would not survive without him. Seriously, she is so attached to him that it would be tragic for her.

I doubt I'll have any pictures of Friskie all packed with snow on the legs. It was probably in about 1968 and not too sure what kind of camera I had at the time. I remember Pedro playing in his first snow with the kids (he was born in Florida) when he was about 4-5. He was a mutt that lived to 15-16.

Wonder if pets are like kids, you pay lots of attention & take lots of pictures of the first one.... not so much the next one (or more) and then the last one (s) are SHOWERED with attention & thousands of pictures????

What's that song?.... "To all the ones I've loved before"?

Hugs back to all of you at your house also................

Ginger
