MAXIESMOMMY

Here is my picture of my baby Max. How I wish I could cuddle him again. This is when he came home from the groomers and he was all soft and silky and smelled like baby powder. He would lick his back paw and then stop and start smelling it, he was probably saying "That's not my paw, Who's paw is this?" For some reason his paws always smelled like Fritos after about a week back home. Max would answer to the names of baby and puppy also. Whenever a puppy came on tv, I would say how cute the puppy was and Max always thought I was talking about him! Nine years just wasn't long enough. He will always be mommy's baby and daddy's boy. I love you Max.

Hi Carol,
Max-(Baby-Puppy) was indeed a beauty! Well, I guess I have never seen a Lhasa Apso that wasn't beautiful...but your Max was especially gorgeous...You had to have been so proud of him! I remember being so pleased when people would comment about Ginger's physical beauty..I would feel a little puffed up, as if I had something to do with it! lol...I just imagine it might have been the same for you.
I love how you remember Max's mannerisms and his smell--I KNOW he filled up your house and your heart! But nine years certainly is not enough! not by a long shot. My Ginger was 8..we were robbed of their "golden" years! But if Ginger and Max were to get together at the rainbow bridge maybe they would look down upon us from their cloud and I bet they would say... cheer up, mommies. I bet they would!
thinking of you!

Carol - Max is soooo gorgeous. Just like my little Arnold. When Arnold would get a bath he would act in a similar fashion - he hated not smelling like a dog!! Hold onto those precious memories of Max. These are the things we will remember and smile about as time goes on.

Hi Carol,

Glad to see you added a photo of Max. He was a handsome dog. He reminds me so much of my Little Man--when he also had just come from the groomers. Most of the time he just looked like someone had cut his hair with a weed-eater. I usually "cut" it myself and didn't have a clue as to what I was doing. He didn't seem to mind, though. I think he liked the way I cut it better, mainly because he didnt like to leave home and he hated it when they'd put that powder, perfume and bandana on him. He didn't seem to like that clean smell either.

We are so blessed to have had them in our lives. More and more, I'm remembering the happy times------I hope you are too.

Take Care,
__Jim
