Hi

I just want to say that I believe there is some kind of communication when you dream . I once had a dream that proved that to me. I have never had a dream like the one I will tell about. In my dream I was on the side of the road by my car facing oncoming traffic. There was something under my car so I had to move the car forward. I got in and started moving forward using the shoulder of the road. I saw a car coming at me in the incoming lane and suddenly I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that it would veer off the road , collide head first and I would die instantly. I was not scared at all but my only worry was that I had not had a chance to say goodbye and I love you to my partner and he wouldn't know it. So with every fiber of my being I thought and sent out those wishes to him. The car collided and at that second I woke up ..my heart pounding and my body in a sweat. As I was coming to I heard footsteps coming up the stairs , come to the side of the bed and my partner sat at my side. I just opened my eyes, my heart still pounding, and he said I just had this feeling that I had to come up to you and see you. Well that just blew my mind. He had never done that before in 18 years and has never done that since. So I have to believe that when we are asleep we are able to communicate in a different way. I could call him like that for years while I am awake and I am sure he would never come. It must have something to do with being in a sleep state. I am a pretty cynical person some times but that episode opened my mind to possibilites. It stands to reason that if you can communicate like that with a living person that if you believe in some kind of spiritual existance after death that you can communicate with them also ; probably a lot easier, I might not believe that story from someone else but I know what happened to me. There seems to be something going on in a dream state. I hope this story helps anyone out there wondering about important dreams. I know a lot of dreams are just my brain going through my worries and sorting them out but there seems to be dreams that go beyond that and I can't deny what happened to me. Hope this helps...it makes you wonder. I hope all my furbabies come to me tonight! I would love that. Hey Jan I have had dreams also where my kitties look differently but I know that it is them. Maybe its how they look in a new life or a past life . My Mom has had the same dreams about her cats. Barbara

Barbara,
Oh yes, dreams are very significant. When I was a teenager I kept a dream diary, because I had dreams that meant things, came true, etc.

Nearly 3 years ago I became sick with Chronic Lyme Disease, it is very painful and I actually am very much into Lyme Disease awareness now and have my own website and educational Youtube video.

Anyway...

My point, 2 weeks before the symptoms began, I need to mention I don't remember a tick bite, I do remember many flea bites rescuing animals. I had a dream I was walking up a hill to a gated area, I looked down and there was a perfectly square fire pit I was told I had to get in that fire pit. I had no fear. I woke up in a cold sweat KNOWING something was coming my way and not good, I just never imagined what and I must say I nearly died and still am in horrible pain and the "fire" goes on in my body...I have Lyme Literate Md's working on this, but it is very difficult to erradicate unless you treat it immediately after the bite - it has gone into my nervous system and it took many months for Md's to diagnose, which didn't help my situation at all.

Also mentioned in the Old Testament it says God declared that He would speak through dreams and visions.

I also remember as a young teen after my grandmother died, my father was very distraught, she came to me in a dream and told me to tell him that she was fine. I might add, I didn't know what that meant, wasn't really aware at that young age of any "after life" etc.

Dreams of dearly departed human or animals are visitations - I truly believe that, especially if they are very vivid and you can remember them as if you were there.

The night my dog died my teen son had a dream he was walking her in an area we use to go camping, he said she was younger and pulling hard on the leash wanting to run...I told him how lucky he was he got a glimpse of her already and she is younger, whole and is running.

Take care,
Dana

Hi Dana,

Thanks for the information on the dream stories. I also just finished reading an Amy Tan personal story , The opposite of fate, where at the end she talks about having Lyme disease and the incredible effects it had on her. She also did not get diagnosed for a long time. I think she actually started having hallucinations and lots of medical problems. I had no idea the disease was so bad until I read about her problems. Really scary stuff. She also mentions a lot of dreams she had and also a dream her friend had that actually came true in his murder. It seems her book ties into our discussion in both ways. It seems like when an important dream happens you seem to know it. I hope you can get the disease under control. I think it is great that you have taken action to help others with this disease. Take care

Hi Barbara

The funny thing is I "saw" Ziggy from the corner of my eye on the window ledge and also on the foot of my bed and even in her chair. I haven't seen her lately but for the first couple of days after her passing I saw that a few times. Also I "saw" Zita - almost solidly straight in front of me, when I wasn't even thinking about her, then she faded away very quickly. I saw her in not such an intense way a few other times too.

But dreams allow a bit more communication, at least mine do and I so want to hear a "message" from my two special girls. I hope, when the time is right, that will happen.

I also have had two very vivid and strange dreams which proves a sort of "communication" and also proves to me that our time frame is not the only perspective.

In one dream my neighbour, a fairly elderly lady, had died of a heart attack and she told me about some of the things she regretted in life. Well I remembered the dream quite clearly, then the next day I was sitting on my porch and this lady's husband came to me over the fence and told me she had had a heart attack and was in hospital. Somehow I believe her soul was communicating with me. Also, with these particular neighbours I had a dream that they were following me in their car but I took a quick turn into a parking lot. They followed me and smashed into something because they turned too quickly and misjudged. I was telling a friend about this dream and we walked to my house - well lo and behold there was their car with the front smashed up. Actually he took a turn and didn't see a motorcyclist - hit the guy, but no-one was killed. The motorcyclist had whiplash I guess. Anyway, these neighbours were not particularly close friends and I never told them about my dreams but it proved to me that there is more going on than we see in our physical existence. Dreams are fascinating to me.

Thanks for sharing your story.

Wow - what a symbolic dream. Also what a beautiful dream with your grandmother. It does give hope, doesn't it?

I also wanted to tell you that I am very familiar with the Lyme disease problem and the politics behind it - most people, doctors and medical people included have absolutely *no* idea.

My niece who is 5 now had an undiagnosed illness starting last summer when she was 4. It got so bad, she was in hospital for about a month and honestly was like a zombie - she couldn't open her gifts for her 5th birthday. Her symptoms were like dementia and she started calling everyone Mommy, if she could talk at all which often she didn't. Finally she had testing my IGeneX in California and it was confirmed she had Lyme and a series of other co-infections. Like you no-one was aware of any tick bite.

I too had an undiagnosed swelling in my foot that's recurred over several years - if it was Lyme, no-one would have figured it out, because in Canada we follow the US protocols for Lyme and those protocols are archaic.

Feel free to pm me as I know this is off topic. All these issues - health, personal and other, make the loss of a pet even harder to take. Sometimes it is the one joy and comfort that we have that "holds us together" and the loss can be devastating.

take care

Jan.

I Also believe dreams hold a significant meaning in them. We have to sort thru all the mumbo jumbo first. I have a dream dictionary book which seem to help guide me. I was going thru a rough time a while back and kept have re-occuring dreams of driving and not having any breaks. It was constant. In my life at that time it seemed I was losing control of everything and everybody. So it made sense. I've yet to figure out, however, when I dream of my past cats, they are never ever together like they were here. I'll dream of one or the other seperately. I sure hope they're together.. Interesting topic..Ann
