Oh! Xander is a beautiful boy!

I'm so glad that he and Riley get along. Looks like Riley is showing him the proper operation of cat toys! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see more photos and hear updates.

Oops, I guess I should be clear! Xander is not a foster cat, I have adopted him

Johnny Cash went to his forever home 2 weeks ago and Akasha went to her forever home about 2 months ago. They are both doing wonderful the last I heard. I probably won't be fostering anymore for a while. It is just too hard to let them go!
So Xander is Riley's permanent new brother! He is a sweet boy who is thankfully a little more receptive to snuggling than Riley is, lol. Riley likes to be admired from afar, lol.

Introducing Xander. He is about a year old and I got him last week. him and Riley are getting along well so far. Of course, here are some pictures!
He's PEWTER!!And it is so good that he was accepted so quickly! Look at them lounging around as if they knew each other for years, like a coupleof Good Old Boys, watching the Big Game!

Oh, Paula..........LOVE THE NEWS! Congratulations!
The pictures are great too! And that they have taken to each other is wonderful.
Where did you find Xander? What is his story?
Hugs and kisses to those 2 babies and a special hug to you for just being a "Mom".

Judy,
Xander actually came from Cincinnati, Ohio! A friend on another website rescued him from the street. I had been following his story for almost 2 months and fell in love with him. He was brought to me by a rescue transport group of volunteers! He is such a sweet kitty.

With such a story....he is even more special! Keep the pictures coming....Xander..Xander and Riley...whatever you can capture of these guys who "captured" your heart.
When a kitty gets a new home...it just leaves a warm, wonderful feeling reading about it.

Love the photos. But I will say in the "just had a bath and am soaking wet" photos...looking into those eyes...I don't think that was a favorite thing to do..to them
The eyes in the last photo...they are "to drown in".
Keep the pictures and stories coming.

Bad Bad Mommy!! But then they feel soooo good after they dry out. Frankee just had a bath two days ago now he won't go upstairs ANY time Daddy is up in the bathroom. He just sits at the bottom of the stairs glaring upstairs.
That must be the "Universal Post Bath Look" that Xander and Riley are exhibiting! Gorgeous coats!

He's gorgeous ,Paula. And, technically, he's blue, like my BK. I have a very soft spot for those blue babies. May you have many happy years together, baths and all.

Hm...I never heard of blue babies. He looked silver and/or grey to me...and reminded me of my Little Guy's Mom.
Dayna...look at her picture in my Kittens Tribute and tell me if that "silver" cat I thought was so very pretty was actually called a blue baby.
Paula....your two babies are just beautiful. I am so happy you all found each other. And that they like each other.........just a huge plus to everything.

Hi Judy,
There's a breed of cat called Russian Blue. It's my understanding that all cats that have that coat color have a Russian Blue in their ancestry. And yes, that beautiful kitty in your Tributes is what I call blue. Whatever they are called...there can be no doubt they are utterly gorgeous.

Thanks, Dayna.
I keep learning more and more in the forum. I learned about doggies called Westies (so cute) and now I have learned about Russian Blue..and yes, they are gorgeous.
Oh, Paula.....you have a Russian Blue..and my babies' Mom was one and her eyes and coat just took my breath away everytime I saw her. You now have two special kitties.....one black beauty (our weakness) and one blue beauty (a new added weakness)
