Frankee at one! He's a year old but since he was so sick as a baby, his growth is stunted. He's about the size of a 6 month old Tabby but this way he'll always be our "Tiny Baby Kitten". He had such a horrible skin disease when we found him, that we thought he would lose his tail and part of one ear but he pulled through just fine. He does have 2 pink dots on his back heels where the fur never grew back but it's kind of cute. We love him dearly and he has enriched our lives so much over the past year.

He has also won a spot in the Cutest Pet Contests upcoming book. His picture is now being voted on for the cover. We're very excited. You can see his picture by going to Cutestpetcontest.com and typing my name in on the upper right hand side of the screen. "Michelle Reed".

Anyway, here is a picture I took of little Frankee today. He's our precious little boy and looking forward to meeting his new brother Jasper next week.

He is adorable! I am going to that website right now and if I can vote for him...I certainly will.

Well, I went to the website and could not find a place to vote for Frankee to be on the cover.

Then I went back and put your name..like you said..and saw his picture. I did get to vote that
the photo with the stuffed animal was the Cutest Picture of all. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure if there is any other way to vote, but I'm including the link to his picture below. Isn't it a shame the little bugger won't cuddle!! He just strikes so many adorable poses. So I "Force" cuddle him LOL! I'll pick him up like a baby and the first thing he does is put his paw on my mouth so I can't kiss him!

He is finally sleeping at the foot of the bed. Very comfortably I might add. Doesn't matter if your feet jostle him, he stays put. But, he's a real Daddy's boy. When his Furdad comes home, he races to the door, sliding across the marble floor, then begs to be picked up. That's the only time he likes to be held. I think he will always suffer from abandonment issues and does not like being left at home. He loves riding in the car in his carrier. As soon as you open the carrier he runs inside! That has never happened with any other cats I've had. They usually hiss at it.

I still do not understand how anyone could throw away a three week old kitten. Then there was a neighbor that knew he was outside, and left him in the backyard for 2 days and nights with out food and a bowl of water he couldn't reach. Frankee to this day does not want to go outside. He absolutely goes into panic mode outside.

A couple of weeks ago I was getting ready to vacuum the guest bedroom. I didn't realize Frankee was under a piece of furniture in there. I turned the vacuum on and he literally ran on the walls to get out of the room. It scarred me since I didn't know he was there. I've never seen a cat run on walls before!

It's great to see you around LS again. I remember you so well from when I first came to LS this last January.

I'm happy to hear Frankee has been such a joy in your home. I did go to the link you provided and voted him "The Cutest of All." This has to be very exciting for you. What magic these little creatures of God's bring into our homes and hearts.

Please keep us updated on how the contest turns out. I'd love to see Frankee's adorable face on the cover! He is pawsitively precious!

I just voted. I melt at the thought of someone having a bad start, then being adorable after a year. Sometimes they make the best friends one could have, because they seem to know what you did for them!

I spent an hour going through your thread on Iggy this afternoon. I just LOVE pink kitty toes! I feel like I really know Iggy and Miles. We do get attached. For the first couple of months after Nickels passed, I kept seeing him out of the corner of my eye. I miss him terribly and guess I always will. It is quite a punch in the stomach when you think they're there and then reality slams you back to earth.

I see Iggy is a car riding kitty too! All my boys have always rode in the car. Frankee is like Iggy in the respect he loves his carrier too. He doesn't mind the vet either. I thought he would after he was fixed but no problem.

I love the Iggy cartoons. I tried to play his early videos but got a message that they were'nt found. I would love to see them, especially after everyones responses. I'll see if I'm smart enough to figure out the video option on my digital camera so I can post some of Frankee and Jasper. I would love to save some of those "first" memories, but alas I'm a child of the 50's and it may take a while to figure it out!

I loved the story of when you went to Pets Mart and the guy that asked, "New Kitten?". I know those marks well. I love playing with Frankee and though he's usually pretty gentle, I'm guilty of really getting him going. I can bring out the "Jaws and Claws" syndrome in him! Here we go again when the new kitten comes home next week! Time to buy extra Neosporin!

I'm including one of my favorite pictures of Frankee and his Dad when Frankee used to love to cuddle. He may just be going through his rebellious pre teen years though I only took over 300 pictures of him before he was 6 months old. I literally wore my camera out and just recently bought another one.

When we first got Frankee he had the worst breath. The vet said his teeth were fine and to keep an eye on him. The bad breath finally went away at about 8 months old. From the beginning Frankee has always craved vegetables so we gave him all that he wanted. His favorite was peas, now it's asparagus. He also loves brussel sprouts and will tear you up for avacodo though I found out it can be fatal, so I have to hide when I eat guacamole or avacado sandwiches. He could care less for chicken or beef, just give him vegetables! The girls no longer get excited when they see him eating something that we eat. They know they're in for a big dissapointment. Oh, Frankee LOVES blue cheese also some types of salad and spinach. Silly boy, vegetables are for rabbits! I'll have to grow catnip for him.

I'll keep checking in on Iggy. He is truly a fascinating and gorgeous kitten! We've all been to the Pet Loss side of this board and it is truly time for New Beginnings. This thread has given me hope when I was deeply depressed over Nickels. I hope it gives hope to others.

Any other votes will push him to the cover of the book. Please feel free to enter any photos of your kids. It would be great to have a bunch of furkids from LS in the book and on the cover. They have 4 pictures on the cover of each annual issue. You also maintain all rights to the photos and will need to sign a release form if they are chosen. I was skeptical but they sent me the special forms in the regular mail with a picture of Frankee at the top of the letterhead. Not bad for a plain old Tabby! Words just can't describe the feeling I got looking at Frankee in that basket in this last photo above you just posted. He looks so very teeny-tiny and sweet......ooh so sweet.

Like you said before how could anyone abandon him? I'm so glad you have him.
