we brought in a mom kitty with her newborn baby boy yesterday out the rain. the baby must have been premature. he was very tiny and weak. he was 3 days old.he just passed suddenly and sadly next to his mom.they were in the bathroom together fine just a while before. when i found him he had already flown to heaven. cpr couldnt take back his new wings. may he rest in peace. acorn always loved the babies and im sure he welcomed him in happily. this poem is in dedication to that tiny gray furball taken too soon to even have a name and my baby acorn





Baby Angels 8/7/08

You left before your time
Why do some have to leave so young?
Before they truly experiences things, the song of life is sung
In an instant they are a memory and not right before us strong
Where have they gone, the ones who left too soon?
There are more tears then the days you’ve lived
What is there to blame? What is there to forgive?
No reason to come and be taken back so quickly when they loved so freely
Some little ones change our whole life with only a short time here
One moment they brought endless smiles but at the thought of them now there is a tear
Baby angels, you never had long enough, it’s so rough
But you had just enough time to touch so many hearts
For that you live on and we will never be apart, just the way it was meant to be from the start

(my heart is in pieces. there has been so much pet loss this summer in my life and my loved ones lives. there are too many angels watching over and not enough here. its so hard. i was just crying about acorn as i found the tiny baby had gone to heaven. its just too much.) the pics are of the baby, her mom and my bf

Hi, Openhearted, it is so sad when we lose a little furchild baby. But this little one did leave this life knowing the gentle touch of you and your boyfriend, and the attentiveness of his mom. I can relate to how sad this is. When I was a little girl growing up we had a momma kitty who had two litters close to together - - she was a bit of a hussey - - and we lost most of her kittens that summer. One minute they would appear to be just fine and the next moment they would be crying in pain and instantly dying before anyone could even respond. It was a very sad summer indeed for me. Your poem to this little angel is so sweet - - thank you so much for sharing this with us. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Openhearted.

thank you so much moon_beam. im sorry you lost kittens too in that sad summer. it is comforting to know the kitten felt some love before he passed.im sure the ones you had felt that love from you too. im glad you enjoyed the poem. your care means alot to me.
