Babe -- Died Monday, July 12, 2004

I miss you little Babe, so very much. You grew from such a tiny little featherless baby into such a beautiful little "boy." And you were so sweet, so very sweet. I miss your song, your little "kiss, kisses." I loved you, but I don't know if I ever told you so. I know you loved me, Babe. You told me so every day. I was the only one you loved except, of course, your "big sister," Hannah. I'm sorry Babe, so sorry that I didn't just let it be you and me for awhile after our Baby Hannah was gone. I know you're flying high and free now, Babe. I'm sure you and Hannah are flying around together some with HER on your back this time! Love you little Babe.

"I'll lend you, for a little while, a bird of mine," He said.
"For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years, or maybe twenty-three,
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, as all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this bird to learn.
I've looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love - not think this labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again.
I fancied that I heard them say, 'Dear Lord, thy will be done.'
For all the joy this bird shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with tenderness and love while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.
And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand."

And . . . I did lose you, long before I ever thought I would. That's why there are no pictures of you in all your splendor and beauty. (Babe's on the left in this picture, his brother, "Bopper," on the right and, of course, his big sister Hannah there too.

Hi Marcia,
I love that poem!

You are correct that Hannah and Babe are together.
There is a mystery to why things happen with the timing
that they do. We all value life so much and
mourn the loss of the companionship
that we miss so much but I wonder if maybe the end IS a
"reward" as we were taught in Sunday school. In that case
all our buddies are in perfect peace, a peace we can not
comprehend until it is our turn! smile.gif
What the caterpillar perceives is the end, to the butterfly is just the beginning
thinking of you!

Dear Marcia:

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS PICTURE, of Baby Hannah, Babe & Bopper...........

IN HARMONY, THEY DID LIVE................

And, I love the beautiful poem that you posted --- I read it to Ben.... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! biggrin.gif

Marcia, if you DID NOT SAY, "I love you Babe", in words..........
Please know that your sweet, beloved Babe knew that you loved him soooooooooo very, very much!!!!! wub.gif

LOVE IS SOMETHING THAT IS FELT..........One does not have to utter the word, "love", to know and feel
that THEY ARE LOVED..........

Your sweet Babe ALWAYS KNEW that you loved him very much, as did your Precious Hannah Girl!!! wub.gif

God Bless You, Marcia!!!! I hope that you are doing okay......

Love, Denise

When I looked at that picture, I imagined how very intensely you must miss your babies.
