There will never be another Henry, but I needed a sweet animal in my life. I have Sage, of course, but Sage is independent and worldy and very feline. I adore her, and she loves me in her own kitty-cat way, but I need to be able to pet and cuddle an animal the way Henry loved.

Henry was an uncommon cat, and I don't think I'm ready for another.

So meet Lola, my new dog. She is SO sweet, smart, and funny! I just love her! She fills that need of having an animal to cuddle and pet, without feeling like I'm trying to replace Henry, since she's a totally different species!

Whatever it takes! How can someone stay down when a new friend SMILES at them! That first picture says it all.

When my wife was a teenager she brought her dog to a local vet. The vet told her "Dogs cannot smile, because they do not have the facial muscles to do so".

She called him an idiot and fired him. laugh.gif

Wonderful pictures. I have the feeling from seeing them that Lola has a lot of energy and will really be keeping you busy.

I am glad you have a new baby and understand the need for physical contact. Congratulations
on Lola and give her a big hug from all here.

So now you can tell us all about her...how old is she...where did you find her...how she has become a part of your day.....etc etc.

We love stories and pictures. New Beginnings is the section we always smile in...and..we need smiles.

Letting the love of Henry live on through another is wonderful. Though he could never replace Henry, and I know you would never want him to, it's wonderful to know that his love is so alive within you. This is the gift he left you when he passed away.

May you be blessed in every way with your beautiful Lola and share many years together in days filled with sunshine.

Hugs,
Beth

wonderful music, different story
"Then I looked at her and she looked at me
Well that`s the way that i want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way
for my Lola"

thinking of you and Lola and dear Henry
