I got a new foster kitty last week. I have had several since I last posted, but thought I would share this special guy with you.

His name is Johnny Cash. He is about 2 years old and came to us with a badly broken ankle. He had a cast on, and was on cage rest for almost 8 weeks. He's doing well now, but has developed arthritis in the ankle joint and has a few problems with that. He is on a joint supplement though and he doesn't let his limp slow him down much.

He was a bit hissy and scared at first, and has a tendency to bite but for the most part he is a super sweet kitty and sleeps at the foot of the bed at night. Him and Riley are getting along well and spend a lot of time playing, chasing eachother around the apartment.

Here is Johnny Cash:

And a couple new pictures of my little darling Riley smile.gif

Gosh, how precious are they? Johnny Cash? He looks so sweet. and I love your new pictures of Riley..he is getting to be quite a big boy.

That first picture looks like Johnny is in something I see in the stores like a kitty hole they can crawl through. Do they really use it a lot? I saw one recently for about $13.00 and then it said you can attach more. If they love them..I would get Lucky one.

You are such a special person to foster kitties like you do. It is nice they can be in a home at least for a while.

I also love going back and looking at those first kitten pictures you have of Riley. Pictures are like smiles..they make you feel good.

I'm sorry Johnny had a leg problem...that is the danger for strays. I'm glad he is with you to see what a real home is like and maybe he will relax..although sleeping at the foot of the bed sounds VERY relaxed to me! tongue.gif

Good Luck with this new foster baby and ..............more pictures, please! biggrin.gif

Johnny Cash does use the play cube some, but Riley adores it. He doesn't so much now as he did at first, because he has Johnny Cash to play with now, but he used to get in it ALL the time. He would carry his toys inside it and play with them, rolling the cube all around the floor.

Here are a couple videos of Riley playing with the 1st one he had.

Ohhh! He reminds me of Miles! Same fluffy chest (When she was in her prime..)

AND, THIS is hilarious. You know, if they cannot see you, they are invisible!

I am also reminded of the time when Goliath tried to hide behind the drapes in the grateroom. His little paws were sticking out from the bottom. laugh.gif

Thanks for sharing your pics and stories of Johnny Cash and Riley. They sure do good things for a heart! wub.gif

Both Johnny and Riley are so beautiful. I love the picture of Johnny stretching-you just want to scratch his little tummy. I give you so much credit for fostering these babies. I am so happy to hear that Johnny is doing well and that he is getting wonderful care.

Well, I got a play cube for Lucky today and you were so right. He really loves it. He loves to get inside it and bite it all over and right now he is laying inside it sleeping in the living room.

This one says you can attach more to make it bigger but I remember you had one and so I tried the one only. Eventually I will get the picture of him in it developed. He hasn't left it alone since I brought it home. Great idea! Thanks.

Awww that's great Judy! I can't wait to see him in it. Riley loves it, and all of my fosters have liked it, so I figured Lucky would too.

Watching Lucky with that cube made me wish I had a video camera. He loves to be inside and he literally rolls across the room inside it playing. One time he tried to run into the next room while inside it and managed to roll over and over part way. Can't get that with my still camera but I got pictures of him in it. He has had it 2 days now and is still crazy about it. I think it even got him a little exhausted, if that is possible.

The only thing I noticed on Lucky's that I didn't see in yours is that he has ripped a small hole in one side so he can stick his paw through it and then he is inside and we see this black paw feeling around outside for his golf ball which he also loves to play with. We drop the balls inside the cube and that really has him going or we put his string by it ...all kinds of things to wear him out. But he loves to run and jump inside it. We have done a lot of laughing since I brought it home. What a wonderful toy! I'm impressed.

Your pictures with it gave me the idea and Lucky is having a ball. Laughter is truly the best medicine. Thank you.
