Dear Hailey-Bear,
You were my best friend and loyal companion for 11 years. You shared the good times and comforted me through the bad ones. I miss your gentle presence...your stares at meal or potty time and patiently waiting belly up for someone to notice and give you belly rubs. I miss your pretty face look when you wanted something and how smart you were...we had to spell everything and you even learned some of those!
I know you're running and swimming with the Angels. You are pain free at last. It snowed last night. I look into the yard and I can still see you bounding in the snow drifts and playing snowball "fetch". I'm trying to be happy...thinking about you able to do all the things your body wouldn't let you do. But I'm so lost in missing you.
Please be happy and have fun! Tell Comet I love and miss him, too. We'll be together again someday.

We are so blessed to have happy memories of our beloved furry kids. Snow fetch sounds like a lot of fun and a great memory for you to have. That would be one of the activities I didn't share with my Goliath (the snowballs would have to be golfball size)

As time passes and we continue to heal, the happier memories continue to come to us. I am so grateful for all the wonderful memories and the joy that they bring.
