Its hard to believe that a week has gone by since I lost my best friend, our little man.

We are all still so sad, struggling to come to terms with our loss. Thank you all for your kind words of support in this hard time, it is so heart warming to know there are so many other pet loving people around the world who truly understand.

Hello all ,friday has gone im glad the first week has gone past not feeling so lost today still miss him badly but i have to remember the great times we had together. Myself and my partner planted a beautiful tree for freddie today we planted it so we can see it from our bedroom that was one of his favorurite rooms allways lying on his back on the pillows messing them up but we never cared ! We have photos everywhere it's as if his still here which he always will be memorys can never be taken away !

What a beautiful tribute for you to have planted a tree in Freddie's memory! When Spring comes, when I can work the earth again, I will also plant a tree. When I do, I will remember Freddie, you and your partner, as well as Nan.

In the meantime I have many of Goliath's closest things around me. His first toy, the baby quilt I made for him when he was just a pup, his collar, his baby teeth, his pics and storybook, and especially the wood chest he rounded the corner off of when he was but a pup.

As time goes on, the happier memories come. It is with each step forward that we take that makes the acceptance easier and for the healing process to continue.

None will ever forget all the wonderful memories of our loved furry kids. You see, I can't forget, as he is an integral part of who I am

Freddie is absolutely precious. Thanks for sharing his beautiful photos with us. It helps the rest of us heal. The first week is definately the hardest. Bless your hearts. You will be in my prayers.

We got Freddie's ashes back today in a beautiful urn, we still feel so sad, just wish we had him back.

I know how hard it is to get those ashes, when we got cheddars back I thought I would feel a little better, but I felt even worse. I know it is hard, and I am praying for you all, I hope that you can find some peace and comfort.

Your pics of Freddie are sweet as can be. Capturing those memories on a camera are a lot of fun to take. The best part is we can look at those pics over the years and remember vividly what we were doing with our furry kids at that particular moment in time.

I just picked out an Urn yesterday. Our dogs ashes will be back next week.
It felt surreal picking out the urn, something so final. But healing at the same time, because it forced me again to face that our Tuff is gone.
Did you seem surprised there were so many urns out there? Wooden, ceramic, metal, stone, marble... I guess so many different ones for so many different dogs.

Freddie's dad, when I was hurting so bad I took my pictures and home video and made a home video with Windows Movie Maker.
I don't have anymore of those videos public on YouTube, but I did for a long while.
You might try it, it is a pretty easy program to use, and you can add music.
I found the process of scanning photos, loading movies, and adding music to be very healing.
I can't make one of Tuff yet, I'm just not ready. I still can't focus yet, I'm sure you know the feeling.

HI Everyone just wanted to tell everyone it was Freddies birthday on the 2nd of April he would of been 8 !

WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREDDIE!!! Glad to see you pop in again, Warren. As you remember sweet Freddie on this very special day, I hope you are able to reflect on the many years of happiness you and Freddie shared together. I know you have had a very difficult time trying to accept Freddie's death and I pray each night that you find comfort and peace in your heart. If you look very closely you will see that Freddie is there and is waiting for you to let the sunshine in. The binding love the two of you shared can never be broken. That special bond cannot be broken in death either as your happy memories of the times shared is what keeps you connected.

What you do with this very special day will be your memory tomorrow. You and Freddie were truly blessed to have loved each other so much.

I hope to see you come here more often Warren. Miracles do happen here when we all come together on this site and exchange words of understanding and love. The gratitude I feel in my heart from the support we give each other so freely and lovingly has given me inspiration and encouragement and desire to continue my long journey in healing.

When I lay down to sleep tonight, where I always send my love to Goliath, I will ask him to be sure and make Freddie's birthday extra special. Goliath knows how to send me comfort and love. Maybe he will tell Freddie how he does that and both you and Freddie will share the best birthday present ever.
