Thank you to all of you for taking time to look at my babies. Your enjoyment of them brings smiles and comfort to me at a time that I desperately need it.

These pics are but a tip of the iceburg of my memories. I have made a story book of both my Goliath and Gidget from the day they came home to us over 10 years ago.

I have taken over 400 pics of them during this time doing all sorts of activites with us from our vacations, parties, just hanging out, boating, walking in the woods, and being lounge lizards together.

When I get my tribute page ready to post...........bring lots of kleenex cuz you are gonna need it from laughing so hard.

My book is ent*itled "For the love of Goliath & Gidget" and that is what the page will read when I post it.

I have come to learn many lessons as a result of Goliath's untimely death. Apparently these lessons needed to be taught to me and I am grateful even more than I was before that I was blessed with such a loving God given creature named Goliath.

I truly believe Goliath was not a loss at all but rather my most precious blessing in my lifetime. While he lived he was forever by my side or at my heels. In his death he will remain on my mind and forever in my heart.

Wow- I love the one with the two of them in the bed-how cute! Thank you for sharing such wonderful memories! I have always had a soft spot for Chihuahuas. I've been close to quite a few of them in my life. They are so much fun!

I don't know how I missed the last few replies to this thread. I am so sorry I did not acknowledge your sweet responses. Thank you all for taking the time to share my puppy loves with me.

There may be a new puppy love coming into our lives in a few months. We are thinking of having a new addition to our family. Goliath and Gidget may be getting a baby brother. Then I will be able to post pics of 3 little hooligans!

Goliaths Mom, OMG your babes in bed are th best. They look like they like being catered to also, lol.

LOL Bue's Mommy. I think chihuahuas must be born under the covers. They also like to bury themselves in warm clothes fresh out of the dryer. If a quilt is anywhere in sight you can be sure they are in it. I just look for the lumps in the covers.

I awaken each morning to my hubby saying ok you two...........time to go to work. Then I get to see the lumps start moving very slowly til they reach the top of the quilt and pop their sweet little faces out. Off they go to work with Daddy.

I miss Goliath's sweet little face for me to awaken to. Gidget is a little slower moving in the morning than Goliath was. When my hubby tells her it is time to go to work, he has to say it several times now. If she hasn't moved by the third time he says "Now Gidget, if you don't get up soon you are not gonna get your overtime in this week!"

LOL.............I had read your posting in your thread before I came here. The smiles we exchange here through our stories and pics add so much happiness to our hearts.

LOL Judy.................you can bet when we have added a new addition to our home you will be the FIRST to know. Jim has had to be out of state for some time now and will be going back and forth for awhile yet. We want to check out some chihuahuas rescues first. Amazingly enough when I reflect back to where I was when I first entered this forum, I couldn't even consider the thought of bringing a new puppylove into our lives without feeling like I was betraying Goliath. Today I know that Goliath wants me to take each and every opportunity I have to receive happiness and joy in my heart. He would be proud to have a baby brother.

Between God and Goliath I am positive that I will receive a wonderful bundle of fur filled with love for me to have and to hold. I am looking forward to having a puppy again in my life............they bring so much joy in their endless play.

It's so funny to watch chihuahua puppies. At birth Goliath weighed 4 oz. Gidget weighed 2 1/2 oz. Their mature weight is about 6 1/2 lbs. They jump up and down like little spring boxers and love to nuzzle under covers. The sound they make is like listening to a little rattlesnake rattle until they mature enough and come out with that first YAP. They will play and play all day long inbetween their naps. Goliath played like he was a puppy through all of his years.

We sure could use a new energy around here. I just have to make sure Jim will be in town long enough for us to do this. Also, I want to use some vacation time to acclimate him with Gidget and allow time for us to bond. When Jim is in town he takes the pups to work with him. We don't like leaving them alone any more than we have to.

Haha, what did you say to them, "Thank you for your intelligent interest in my camera?"

LOL I didn't I say anything to them because my intention in taking the picture was to take it of them while they were both there napping on the back of the couch...............Both were laying down right where you see them sleeping. When they heard the camera make that bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzttttttt sound, both lifted their heads and looked at me.

Both my babies are hams for a camera. I took some pics of Gidget tonight as we were engaging in some rough play on my bed. I kept trying to capture her in play mood, but each time I went to take a pic she just sat down or laid down like a perfect little princess. She often crosses her two front paws when she is laying on her belly with legs stretch out.

Sometimes when they hear that bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzttttt sound they run and stick a nose right up to the lense. The only way I can tell who's nose it belongs to is by the color of that cute little nose. Goliath's nose was brown and Gidget's is black.

I have chosen some other pics of them to post from time to time...............so keep watching and stay smiling!

I am filled with so much happiness and craziness tonight I just might have to go and get my bellybutton pierced!

Yes Roz............They truly are adorable.(BUT, then again I could be just a little prejudice.) Whenever I can send smiles through my pics, the smiles come back to me in the responses and make me happy too.

Judy, they are incredibly small as puppies. You know I will DEFINATELY post pics when the newby arrives. As Spring is here my heart reeks of joy and happiness. I am so looking forward to having a new addition in our home.

Gidget and I played on my bed yesterday. Boy did we make a mess of that bed. We had a rompin' stompin' good time. I took some pics of her afterward. The little stinker goes right into pose postion as soon as she hears or sees the camera. I'll post 1 or 2 of them soon. She is getting so much better with the pee thing. We have had 3 pee-free days now. (Still crossing fingers!)

Yes Gillian they are both beautiful inside and out. Thank you so much for stopping by and reminding me just how adorable they are.

I thank God each and everyday that I have been twice blessed in loving and knowing my Goliath & Gidget. This I keep in my heart forever.

Your sweet babies are precious!!!! I can't pick my favorite, but I totally related to the laundry photo----there's definitely something about warm sheets, towels, etc. that they just love, heck we do too! Peaches ALWAYS helped me with my laundry------Carol & Higgins have been quite helpful lately as well!

I definitely got a chuckle out of the Halloween pic---I'm impressed at their patience!!!! They probably knew how CUTE they looked, and hammed it up a bit----and picked up on the "not laughing AT you, but WITH you" concept!!

They looked so content in the last photo, in front of your fireplace. I know Goliath is very much missed. Be thankful Goliath had his sweet sister and you to make his life so happy. It's clear from your posts & photos that he was one happy little fellow!

Awww Kimm..........Thanks for stopping by to see me and my precious luvpups. I truly am soooooooo thankful for what I have been blessed with in love through many in my life. Our home is filled with alot of love and many happy memories. My hubby and I always recognized and loved our luvpups in the same way good and loving parents treat their own human children. So everybody under the roof in our home adds happiness to each others lives.

You're right......There is something about warm sheets, towels, etc. that DOES feel so warm and comfy. It just plain feels good. My Goliath & Gidget were always included in all we did together. Even when we color Easter eggs or wrap presents or work in the yard, they get in the middle of whatever we are doing. I don't think either of them ever even knew they were canines. All of us look forward to the weekends so much because we know there is much more time to spend with each other. Goliath & Gidget truly are the light in our life. We are one big happy family in every sense of the word.

Goliath woudl have been so happy see Gidget & Browser getting along so nicely. Gidget hasn't always been such a good playmate. Since Goliath passed away Gidget has become much more loving and cuddly. Browser has brought the playfulness out of Gidget. Big Brother is satisfied and very happy about that! Momma and Daddy are too!

I often sit on this couch with Gidget & Browser on my lap and tell them stories of their Big Brother and how much he loves all of us. Just seeing these two side by side brings me so much comfort.

Yes I will take many pics of them Judy and thankyou for coming to see them. Goliath would be shocked to see how gentle Gidget is with Browser. Seeing these two together and loving each other brings me so many smiles whether they are playing, eating or napping. Both of them walk right by my side close to me, just as Goliath did, when we walk the neighborhood.

It feels so right and sooooooooo good to feel content and happy again. Even though a day does not go by that I don't think of Goliath many many times, my heart is at peace.
