MissingGiz
Though the ache in my heart has subsided somewhat there are times when I still hurt very much. My wife called a few months ago about another Shih Tzu puppy and I went with her to look at it. It was love at first sight. She is the sweetest dog and has really helped me to cope. I know alot of people grieve differently but a new pet has helped me. I love you Gizmo and keep happy at the bridge boy till we are together again.

Gizmo is probably smiling down now. A part of you will always miss Gizmo, but you have so much to offer to your new pup. I am sure Gizmo would be very happy about you finding a new love. No, the new ones never "replace" the old ones because they are all different, but the new pup will work her magic on you, too. She, too, will become irreplaceable. All the best to you on your new journey.

ah the shih tzu is a wonderful breed! I had a lhasa apso for 18 years. Gizmo paved the way for the love you will lavish on your new friend. I am really happy for you! smile.gif

I am happy to see you have a new furry one!! I am sure Gizmo is happy to see that your heart isn't as sore as it was!!!

Sharing the love we have with a new pet after losing one is often surprisingly healing. The different personalities and the wonderful feeling you get when the new pet looks at you can play an important part in our healing process. It's not for everyone, but I'm glad it is helping you the same way it helped me.

Give your new one a big hug for me.
