Hi Renee!!
I hope you are okay. I remember when you first posted last year and I know how much Sox meant to you. He was truly a wonderful, one-of-a-kind love. I hope he is still communicating some way to give you comfort. I know the first year is so hard to endure; it was for me but Precious kept up with the little signs like songs on the radio, seeing butterflies and birds and having my car dive-bombed by huge dragonflies in the morning the past three months (always when I pull in my parking space at work!). They never do leave, the bond is still there and they do look out for their mums and dads that were left behind.
Sox will never, ever leave you and that is a promise!!
Have you adopted another pet? I have three cats now: Patches, a Norweigan Forest Cat (black and white and very hairy like Precious was, green eyes this time, almost six years old), Tiger/Tigger and Princey (brothers that appeared in my back yard last 09 June and are four and a half months and are black Burmese shorthairs, amber and hazel eyes respectively). I guess it was meant to be but they are a joy to have around. True, they're not Precious and they are certainly no "replacements" but they are the sweetest loves and they constantly remind me that Precious wouldn't have wanted me to be unhappy and sad and that's why they were sent! Things happen for a reason and that is very good karma!
Please take care!!
Lisa
