BTW PETA has a link for anyone wishing to contact the NFL and let your thoughts be know about this "monster" and what his punishment should be..

This guy is such a classless joke... They showed him on TV the other day and all he could do was smile and wave #1 signs at the camera. He's gonna be somebodies #1 you know what in the slammer...

I hope he never plays football again. But unfortunately, professional sports do not usually show good ethics all time. Some desperate team will probably pick him up after he does his sentence. I know whoever it is will probably lose alot of fans and should... Hopefully the NFL bans him for life...

To all his victims... Rest In Peace

May all his victims rest safely in the loving arms of St. Francis. Amen

I heard that he lost a major advertisement contract too. I hope he looses everything and the swine sinks into the poor house. To torture and kill all those dogs for sport, it sickens me. I'm glad that he is well known because now these awful fight to the death matches are exposed to the world. The public is outraged and hopefully because of that the authorites are under pressure to prevent and stop this disgraceful abuse to all those innocent dogs.

Amen - rest in peace, you dogs who would have lived and let live, yet were forced into something else entirely. You never had a chance. But you're living in Heaven now, sweet ones. Give everyone there an affectionate face-licking, and accept any and all treats offered you -- you deserve them!

I am glad that they are at least helping to publicize this case and get it the attention it deserves, but I do have serious problems with PETA as any true animal lover should. If it were up to them, we wouldn't have our beloved pets. please be careful with anything that involves PETA.

As a responsible owner of an American Pitbull Terrier (as well as many other dogs and cats) I cannot fathom any person (monster) that would enjoy this horrible act. My Pit, Bud, is the sweetest dog in the world!!!!!! And they have such a horrible rep because of people like this loser. Jeez, what is this world coming to? Anyone who would enjoy this type of torture to ANYTHING-dogs, cats, lizards, fish, snakes, mice, humans, etc... is mentally ill. Something is NOT right in their heads. I cannot stop thinking of these horrible figthing matches-I just want to go out there and hunt these people down myself. Not to be a hero, just to save these poor innocent, helpless animals. This is America, dogs are our PETS! They are not a food source or anything like that!

God Bless you, you beautiful brave pups. You endured soooo much pain and mistreatment, there will be a special place for you at the Rainbow Bridge. You are now HEROS, as it has taken your deaths to publically out this horrible "sport".

God Speed to all of you!

I am devastated, as is everyone here, by the senseless cruelty of this vicious "sport".

But I've seen some great t-shirts in the last few days and am thinking of designing one of my own! Get Michael Vick!

I forced myself to watch Mr. Vick's apology and was singularly unimpressed. Why there is even any discussion about him continuing his career with the NFL is beyond me. He took huge risks in breaking the laws of man and of nature. He lost.

He blames immaturity? He's a grown man, not a child. His associates, well, come on now - take responsibilty. Personally, I could not care less that he "found god". Amazing how that happens.

He willfully and maliciouslly broke the law. With malice aforethought. He needs to accept the consequences.

The only good that can come from this is an increase in awareness and, more importantly, stricter laws and finally the elimination of this horrible activity.

Hi Everyone:

Michael Vick (and other insane monsters like him) WILL get what's coming to them one day -- if not in this lifetime, I am positive that there is a spot in hell awaiting them!

There is a connection between "people" <<---(I use that term VERY lightly!!), who abuse animals in their younger years then go on to commit heinous acts against innocent children, etc....

http://www.pet-abuse.com/pages/abuse_connection.php

I know that here at LS, we all love & adore animals as many people do. I watch Animal Planet at 10pm (Animal Precinct, Animal Cops, etc...) & my heart breaks when I see "people" who knowingly abuse their pets.....

Abuse comes in so many different forms. My husband wonders why I watch this show, (though....he will watch most of it too). It really does anger and piss me off to see what these beautiful furkids go through, but.... most of the time, at the end of the show, these sweet animals are adopted by people who will love & cherish them forever.....

Precious animals -- they ALL have beautiful pure & loving hearts -- not to mention, they are unbelievably forgiving..... I don't know how they are able to trust people again, after having been abused & their spirit broken sad.gif .... It really amazes me.

God Bless all of you who make a difference in the lives of animals wub.gif .

Peace & Love to you and yours,

Denise

people like him will get whats coming to them. sad enough though there seems to be an upward trend of fighting animals. i have heard they have even started to fight stallions and other animals like raccons. I am only 25 but i have seen so much cruelty already that i feel burned out. i grew up with a family that did horse and dog rescue and i myself have picked it up to a much smaller extent. most of my furbabies are rescues-

Brandy- 15 year old quarter horse gelding who has been abused, neglected and most recently abandoned. poor guy has scars on his back from saddles, scars from accidents that were untreated, and a host of emotional issues. I love him anyway and for whatever reason he loves me back. I have quite the story about his love if anyone cares to hear it. he just amazes me, with all hes been through he still loves people.

Bailey- 3 year old quarter horse mare. though never abused was in danger of being sold to a horse trader or at auction. princess is the only word for her.

Jay- 5 year old belgian draft gelding. he was never in any real danger but his tail was docked and we fight all summer to keep him bug free.

Honey- 4 year old pony mare. she was saved from the back of a meat truck that was less than 15 minutes from pulling out. her halter had started growing into her head, her face was disfugured from the swelling. a metal piece on her halter had grown into her jaw, becoming infected and spread to a lymphnode that ruptured untreated. her crime was being a discarded lesson pony. honey was so frightened when i got her home she shook if you even thought about petting her. she has since been used suscessfully in lessons and is healthy and happy and ready for a child of her own to love.

Rune-2002-2004, red dun walking horse gelding- stolen and sold to slaughter christmas eve of 04. he died for $200. this is still very painful to me.

Lacey- 3 1/2 year old tuxedo cat. Lacey was left to die in an abandoned apartment. the land lady was kind enough to give me a call before dropping her at the pound. Being an almost full grown cat who was very skinny and shy i knew she had little hope of adoption at a shelter. the owner had the audacity to call me and try to reclaim the cat, her excuse was she was in jail for cocaine possesion and couldnt find anybody to take her. i did not give her Lacey. i have kept her and she has blossomed into a personable but paranoid sweetie. she will climb in a strangers lap but if the door opens she runs away, then runs back meowing for attention.

Lily- 8 months old grey and white cat. Lily was not a rescue in the sense she was in harms way. her owner could no longer keep her and was about to take her to the pound. shes my nermal. shes so cute it hurts.

Sissy- 2 year old tortishell R.I.P 2006- found her eating out of a dumpster and coughing at no older than 5 weeks of age. shes was small but powerful, i even saw her scare full grown tom cats away from her dumpster.

Count, Satarah, Sassy, Ivy, Nick, Goldie, Tilly, Cheyenne, Homie, and all the rest waiting atb.

and all my boarders and their kind hearted rescues-
razzy
missy
felina
maggie mae
charm
and the lucky ones who always had good loving homes
bear claw
jazzy
skittles
girl
spot
joanne

now my zoo just needs a dog, a donkey and a goat lol, but seriously we do what we can even if its only 1 and if theres a god these people will pay for what they do.

I think what you're doing is wonderful, and I would love to hear Brandy's story.

thanks Michelle and as for Brandy...

In June i was in a horseback riding accident which left me with complete transverse process fractures of L1-5, incomplete fracture of T12 and a cracked sacrum for a total of 7 broken vertebra, im ok i will recover most if not all the way. What Brandy did that day stands out as almost unbelievable..

i had Brandy out to keep the horse i was working company, he was outside the outdoor arena in the prep area/paddock. after i fell i tried to move- of course that hurt beyond all words and i screamed. Brandy came running to the arena but could not enter. He stood at the fence watching me. My boyfriend came running and entered the arena to secure the loose horse. Brandy saw his chance and even at 1,000lbs darted into the arena and ran to my side. Neither of my guys knew what to do, B (as i call Brandy) was sniffing and nickering to me, Justin had the other horse and i couldnt move and an ambulance needed called. Since B wasn't any real threat to my safety i had him take the loose horse in. When Justin returned to collect B, B did the craziest thing- he bite him. B does not bite, B loves Justin, but B wasnt letting anybody near me and he would be darned if he was being moved. Again tried to move B, and he actually tried to kick him and run Justin away. I had to hold in my pain to grab his head when he came back to sniff me and talk to him so Justin could lead him out. A passerby stopped and helped stabilize me while Justin fought to put B back in the pasture. When he turned to shut the gate B ran out of the field and right back to the arena. the gate was shut again and he was not letting a thing like a fence stop him- no sir'ee. So B proceeded to attack the fence separating him from me. Nobody could touch him- he was a horse with a mission, B was coming in there and there wasnt a thing anybody could do to stop him. He kicked and pushed until he broke several boards and was trying to step through and Justin caught him. Of course B did not go quietly, he fought him tooth and nail and started to scream for me. By now the paramedics had arrived and somehow Justin got B in the field again and shut the gate. That wasn't going to stop B. As they moved me around of course it was agony and i screamed and yelled in pain. B lost it completely. He ran back to the arena and bite a paramedic over the fence. (my arena shares a side with the pasture) Poor B was so worried and confused he really thought the paramedics were hurting me and in his mind he really thought he could help me. So again B started to tear at the the fencing, he broke more boards and by now was screaming more than me. As i was being taken away i saw B running and screaming all along the fenceline. He was howling and crying so loudly you would have thought he was the one injured. While i was in the hospital B quit eating, all he did was stand at the gate and periodically call for me. I had to have somebody drive me to the barn when i was released so i could talk to him. Brandy was so relieved to see me - he tried to climb into the car! im not joking he stuck his head into the car and put a front foot into the car. Brandy refused to eat unless i was where he could see me. so we set his grain next to the car and that was ok by him. For a few days he had to be walked to the front yard and fed while i watched from the porch.

I have never seen anything like this, a horse so desperate to reach a human and so gentle. he never once came anywhere near harming me. He stood watch over me like a mother would a foal. He's still the first to greet me when i feed and he makes sure hes the last one in the pasture. He still will not leave the gate until he sees me go home home safe. Hes never bitten Justin before or since this happened and has never ever attacked anybody- except that poor paramedic. I had planned on adopting him out but now i just cant bear to do that to him. so he will stay with me till his time is done here and thats ok.
